We loved our stay at the Oberoi Lombok for our honeymoon. It wasn’t perfect, but there were so many amazing elements.

The private pool villa was large and lovely, the views divine, the staff so friendly and helpful. The beach experience / chairs / hammocks / service, just made for the most relaxing week.

The hotel has not been renovated in many years, but as they keep it spotlessly clean and maintained this isn’t a big issue. Our air conditioning broke, but it was spotted by room service and maintenance fixed it very quickly.

Nothing is too much to ask, the staff are all very approachable and after a few days knew us by name.

The resort feels like it’s in a bit of a time warp - I could have been sat in 1999 - which I quite enjoyed. It was relaxing and nostalgic. If you didn’t fancy dinner in the main restaurant (outdoor tables, white tablecloths, musical entertainment), you could order the same menu to the bar or to your room. They were very flexible with the dinner package, which was appreciated. One night they did a special buffet dinner on the beach, which was really lovely.

The staff needed some help understanding my husband’s food allergies, and this took a few days and a few scares. However, they were excellent at following up, and after an early scare were very attentive to it. We found understanding of allergies to be low across Indonesia, not just this hotel.

Such a relaxing five nights, and I wish we were back there!

If you’re looking for a place to stay at in Lombok that’s a true indulgence and focused on making you feel like a VIP, as well as closer to North Lombok, the waterfalls and of course easily accessible to the Gili Islands, the Oberoi is it! Amazing service and food! Everything was taken care of before I could even ask. I traveled solo and they were sure to make me feel so welcome and pampered. Their chef Ansel is just the best. Each and every single dish I had was just phenomenal. They even sent me a recipe for one when I told them it was heaven!
The activities from the hotel were so good as well. Convenient and reasonably priced. I had four spa treatments and each left me in complete relaxation and just…light. The property is clean and well taken care of. Their tea time at 4:30 is a full on spread. They have cocktails at happy hour which are buy one get one….and so many other things just complimentary for their guests.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to go to Lombok. What you get for your money is incredible.

I was fortunate enough to stay at the Oberoi in Lombok, late December/early January 2023, and what a wonderful experience on every level. The Oberoi team are extremely attentive and focus on you as an individual. The team are professional, friendly, kind and really ensure you enjoy your experience.

The resort itself, the rooms are spectacular, the grounds are beautiful and very peaceful– it felt like I had the place to myself even though I was not the only guest. I did manage to experience the spa - and WOW I will be going back for more!

Finally, I got a little sick in the first few days of travel (I had had a long trip) – and I’d like to say a huge THANK YOU again to the team for taking care of me and calling a nurse when I tried to soldier on.

I will now start planning my next visit to the Oberoi in Lombok 😊

The service at all oberois is amazing, but Lombok team took it to another level. From sending us hot sandwiches and hot chocolate upon our arrival (as our flight landed late and it’s a 90 min drive) to having the head of water sports help me snorkel. Everything was amazing.

Tranquility and peace at its best

We had a fantastic and tranquil time at the Oberoi. Pool was never overcrowded and guests preferred to lounge at the pavillions. We were impressed that there was complimentary tea with cakes every afternoon, fruit skewers at noon, complimentary sun screen and cold bottled water given to all guests that sit by the pool. The staff and service at the Oberoi hands beat the service we just came from at the Four Seasons (FS was 5 starr great, but if only one place could be awarded a 6th star, I would give it to this property). The Oberoi is Special!!

This is a magical hotel. They seriously know what they are doing. The service cleanliness the food the rooms( we had an Ocean Pavillion ) with own garden gazebo and balcony and stunning view, the grounds all outstanding. The pool is quite simply the best ever.. the infinity design so clever. Spa and gym perfect. Go and spoil yourself be it honeymoon get away... you will NOT be disappointed. Proximity Gili Islands is another huge plus. This is probably the best hotel I have stayed in. The staff cannot do enough for you to make your stay a special experience. Great variety eating options.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.

A great hotel at a great location (off the beaten track that's for sure - although 2 hours by car from the airport is not too onerous). The staff at the hotel are very friendly and will try hard to make your stay as pleasurable as possible and figure out your individual preferences. If you have a chance to stay in one of the villas that have their own glorious pool, then there really is no reason to ever leave you room other than to mix with the other guests over dinner / drinks.

The best 2 nights I had at any hotel. Service is flawless as the staff go all out to make your stay unforgettable. The grounds are breezy and well maintained with its own beach. I stayed in a Luxury Pavilion Garden View. It was freezing when I got in but otherwise was amazing. The spa is an indulgence not to be missed. This hotel is pricey but you certainly get what you paid for. Kind of out-of-the-way from the popular tourist spots but that is part of the charm.

My friend and I stayed at the Oberoi after two weeks travelling around Bali and Lombok. It was the perfect way to finish our trip. The hotel is beautiful, with views of the sea from the infinity pool. The staff are really friendly and are on-hand to help at any point - service is excellent. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable and the bathroom was huge! The best thing about the hotel was that, despite being big, it did not feel overcrowded. The layout was such that you didn't see many other guest and so it felt really peaceful and secluded. I would definitely go back and would recommend staying there.

Oberoi Lombok is stunning - from the beautiful gardens and private beach, to the truly exceptional staff who could never do enough for you. Every single staff member was warm and charming. The hotel's staff retention is high - a great sign. Crystal clear waters, white sands and wonderful snorkelling made for the most relaxing and wonderful break. I couldn't recommend it more highly. The hotel was such a wonderful experience; amazing service & kindness from staff and management; fantastic food; beautiful hotel & stunning grounds- very well maintained! We did daily morning boat rides (with the hotel boat) to the Gilli Islands for incredible snorkeling and lounging by the ocean & pool in the afternoon. Never missed the wonderful afternoon tea time! We all (2 adults & 3 teens) LOVED it!

Oberoi stay was amazing. Service was impeccable specially dining. Resort is huge. Beach club is nice. Staff awesome.
Not sure, why the beach is unutilized. Tropical weather- lots of red ants near the hammock area. Not sure if thats unavoidable or something can be done about it.
Swimming pool needs some work though, lombok being a quieter destination, good for families with babies or young toddlers but no baby pool. Main pool has same depth throughout. Pool bar is good though.
Overall a nice relaxing stay. What I liked the most- service, staff and bathroom( natural set up).

Really enjoyed the country & culture of Indonesia....Hotel was a large property with a quiet & laidback feel (maybe too quiet for some) but has a true to the environment feel. Fantastic pool view and sunset! Found it a little expensive on the food & beverage costs but quality was well above. Would recommend it to couples on vacation who want a quiet resort to unwind.

it was a good trip and they will pamper you. we told them we were on our anniversary ad they did a turn down service for us, EVERY night. it was very nice. while the place was smaller than expected, it was spacious enough and there were not many units hence it did not feel cramped. rooms were quite large. only complaint is the power failure which happened twice in my stay, once when we were walking to dinner and once when I was taking a shower. fortunately I was not afraid of the dark and the power came back on in less than a min each instance, but this should be remedied. the complimentary afternoon tea is nice and service is of course first rate. most of the staff can speak reasonably good english esp the people on desk duty. if you can afford to then u should stay longer and enjoy the hospitality. we only actually had 2 days there as the 1st and last day were travelling to and form the airport. distance to airport is quite far unfortunately (2hrs) but the end of the journey is worth the wait. FnB also went out of their way to prepare dinner for us as we were oriental vegetarians who don't take garlic and onions and leek.

The Oberoi is a spacious, calm oasis, with excellent room options( from very nice single rooms up to walled villas with pools) , lovely grounds and a spectacular pool setting. The beach right out front is OK, but not up to Australian standards. The little touches like fruit in room, the horse & cart ride to the local village, the excellent room servicing and other service ( I had a broken case handle fixed within an hour) made our 4 days pass very quickly. The only real area for improvement is in the food provision- breakfast has great choices, but can be a bit slow and disjointed, and a couple of dinners we had were pleasant but not more-- the Indonesian food could have been spicier. Access by boat to the Gili Islands is easy-either go on the daily shared trip, or do a private charter from the hotel. The Gilis are great fun- lively, lots of bars & restaurants and some fun shopping, probably targeted at the young & young at heart. After a day there, it was nice to come back to the sanctuary of the Oberoi

Very pleasant setting and excellent staff. A superb place for real relaxation and to unwind. Good value for money.

We (my wife, myself with our two angels 6 & 12) were there for 3 nights after a hectic 7 nights in Bali. The place is really amazing and the staff practically sets a new limit to service excellence. In a very quite setting apt for relxation it also provides for enough activities for kids.

The only negative aspect (if so considered) is that it's too far from the airport, needs almost 2 hours to get there.

Experienced warm & personalized service from Sayu at the Tokek Bar. He has great initiative and offer to block our favorite pavilion daily. He is also very thoughtful when it comes to our dining preference. We like to share a meal and he makes every effort to arrange for split servings so that we can enjoy our food comfortably.

Beautiful resort / Excellent service / Extremely clean - overall, a little paradise. Stayed in the Royal Suite, really secluded, but still easy access to the main resort facilities. Probably one of the best locations / hotels my wife and I have yet visited (includes similar level hotels in maldives/mauritius/bali). My only gripe would possibly be the variety/quality of food, given that you're pretty much restricted to the resorts offerings, would've been better if the food was better or more varied. We stayed for 7nts, and managed ok, but can imagine for 2 weeks can grow very tiresome. Otherwise, excellent on all other counts.

This hotel is a tranquil and romantic spot that worked out well for our extended family break over the Chinese New Year holiday. The staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating despite the fact that this resort is best set up for couples who want a quiet retreat. We arranged a private boat to take us around the Gilli islands for some wonderful snorkeling. We were privileged to swim with three sea turtles. The trip to the new airport was quite distant and we only managed to eat at the hotel but enjoyed every minute of luxury the resort provided.

The Oberoi is a nice property, with extremely pleasant staff. I was very pleased with our honeymoon trip there overall, but have a few things to nitpick about. First of all, the Oberoi is very isolated and far from the airport. It takes about 2 hrs from the airport to get there. It's so isolated that there are few outside options for food and drink. The restaurants in the Oberoi had decent food, offering \"westernized\" versions of Indonesian dishes, as well as western choices (pizza, burgers, sandwiches,...). Expect to pay a minimum of $20 USD per person for lunch or dinner, even for a simple burger or club sandwich, or even for a plate of mee goreng (Indonesian fried noodle). If you just want a nice resort to relax at and aren't too picky about food or food value, then it won't be a problem for you. Oddly we found the food from the western menu to be better than the Indonesian food. Perhaps the Indonesian food is too westernized. The hotel also offers excursions, such as a volcano or waterfall tour or a snorkeling trip to the Gilis. We did the snorkeling trip, which was not only a great value, but fantastic thanks to our excellent guides.

My husband & I had a superb trip to this beautiful resort and were impressed with everything about the Oberoi and Lombok (I wasn't that impressed with Bali my comparison). We were there for only 48 hours but were totally thrilled with every moment we spent there - at the pool, on the beach, in the restaurant, in the boutique (I have to admit that -it's great!), in the bar, and in our room. The spa wasn't totally up to par but we had a very pleasant experience. I'm not an easy critic but this was great. We had a blast doing the afternoon painting class on the beach, too.

Three Days In Over Priced Paradise

The Oberoi is extremly remote. Please note it is a two plus hour drive from the airport, or an insanely uncomofrtable high speed boat from Bali. And then a 20 minute drive!

Reason for the poor review was a room that never got cold, and a staff that ignored four requests to fix the AC issue. This is not a place to be trapped without AC.

Otherwise, i paid over $500 US for a Christmas dinner for two. It was not great, but the restaurant would not serve anything else! And there are no other places on Lombok close by to eat. I had to beg them to transfer the stay points to Singapore Airlines, even though they state they do this! Wonder if they will ever show up?

Too many people on staff, very few with a clue.

El hotel es espectacular, jardines espectaculars, playa pequeña pero muy bien cuidada, zona de reposeras y relax genial, 3 zonas de restaurante diferentes con variedad de comida (opciones para europeos/occidentales). El staff SUPER amable, incluso nos sorprendieron con detalles por la luna de miel y respondieorn a todo lo que necesitabamos. Hicimos también la excursión de snorkel a las Gilli y lo recomiendo mucho!
