The property is immaculate with beautiful artifacts and well taken care of by a very, very polite staff. They can’t do enough for you. The spa is wonderful overlooking the ocean. They go out of their way to make you so happy.

We had a great time at Tugu. It is a romantic, serene place that I felt so far away from bustling Bali. Special thanks to Ardian, who always was so prompt and efficient whenever I asked something, to Made the chef, who patiently taught us in the cooking class, and for the last but not the least to the kithcen staff whom I forget to ask name, who served us the most perfect candle lit dinner on the beach that we 've ever had. Thank you!

This was the last stop on the inaugural All Blue Swim Tour, and it couldn't have gone better. Everyone was blown away by the spacious, comfortable rooms, the incredible attention to detail, the grounds and the friendliness of the staff. There is safe swimming with beautiful coral off the sandy beach and places to do yoga if you wish. We could not have had a better time and the BBQ on the beach was a special moment. THANK YOU!!!! We will be back next year.

Perfection of a place

What an incredible place. From the moment we walked in, we were in love with it. The position is super- quiet and remote but not too far away from life:)
The food was all wonderful. Breakfast can be served on the beach too and everything is delicious.
We never ate lunches as we were still full from bfast, but then there was always afternoon tea in the garden at the beach for all guests. Dinner can be in the room/reataurant or on the beach. Just wonderful.
The beach is clean, calm and tropical. Great snorkeling just off the beach area and also super easy access to the Gillis for a morning or day trip.
The facilities are all in perfect condition and the staff are so attentive and friendly.
It was a dream to stay there. It’s luxury but also a bit understated in a beautiful way. Its really so special and I highly recommend it.

An oasis of peace and tranquility

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, I was made to feel very welcome and nothing was too difficult. The hotel is set on beachfront property that is spacious and quiet. The rooms are extremely generous and the attention to detail is high. There is plenty of coral and fish to see just offshore and high tea at 4pm on the beach was a great way to finish a swim. Can’t say enough about Tugu and its staff. They went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. We had an early flight to catch and they had breakfast prepared for us at 6am, usually not available until 7am. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent, But….

The hotel ground is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is outstanding! The rooms need improvements: a lot of items we had to have it fixed after check in. They were eager to fix everything and please us. AC was weak throughout our stay. Bathtub/shower drain was very slow…rooms are very dark, gloomy. Overall is a very nice hotel. The pools, statues throughout property, restaurants all gorgeous.

Un hôtel \"musée\" où de magnifiques sculptures, tableaux, meubles et objets divers captivent les yeux des hôtes. Mais on ne dort pas dans un musée... On ne s'est pas senti très bien dans la chambre pourtant joliment décorée qui nous a semblé trop vaste et mal éclairée. Pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, la literie n'est pas la plus confortable que nous ayons eue. Par contre les extérieurs sont magnifiques et profiter de la merveilleuse piscine ou des transats bordant la belle plage est bien agréable.

Beautiful hotel, grounds, beach and location a very relaxing stay. There for 5 nights which was enough for us as there was not a lot local other than the hotel facilities. Boat trips to the Gili islands where fantastic. Hired the hotels boat for the day. Great value and service during the day.

Amazing resort that is located over a large area so you really have a lot of space to relax in. The beach is lovely and the hotel has a cool eclectic feel to it with all the Indonesian artwork that is dotted around. However the best part of this hotel is the service. Very friendly and helpful. Memorable stay.

We just checked out few hours ago and moved to Gili Meno after a wonderful week in Tugu Lombok.We stayed at Ampenang Bungalow N.7 which was enormous,tastefully decorated,comfortable and well appointed.Two air conditioner,super king size bed,etc.The hotel grounds are like a big tropical park with trees and flowers,very well kept and complemented with numerous local pieces of arts and details everywhere.Two huge pools,one better than another .The beach is just perfect,good snorkeling few steps away,specially in front of the second pool.The ambiance is calm an relaxed. Every member of the staff made us feel very welcomed,specially at the restaurant where we found a high standard food and well priced.My wife refers to had a good massage at the spa.We had some minor problems with the hot water that were addressed promptly,also the prayer calls at the next door villa were sometimes very loud but In resume it was a memorable stay,highly recommended.

In one word : Amazing !

Our experience at TUGU was above our expectations. First of all, the hotel is different from what you find usually in the region as it is very authentic, not so modern but well maintained. The location is just perfect with easy access to Gili islands. The staff is very counsious and takes good care of the customers (a special thanks to Ruslan from the restaurant and to all the staff).
The only negative point would be the average price of the food at the restaurant which is in my opinion a bit expensive.

Very unique hotel - I would recommend

The hotel is very unique and different than any I’ve stayed in over my years of travel. I really enjoyed the private pool in the honeymoon suite which I definitely recommend over the oceanfront room. I definitely would recommend this hotel as it was a great experience. Also recommending going to see waterfall via a 90 minute car ride and Gili islands via boat day boat trip both were well worth it. The service is amazing and very personalized they remembered my breakfast order and the sauces I liked daily. Only suggestion would be that it needs a few upgrades and could be a bit cleaner. This is only comparing it to a 5 star standard, by no means did I think it was dirty or poorly maintained but that’s the only thing I think could be improved. Was a very nice difference from our hotel in Bali which was much more crowded. Overall would recommend this hotel.

Unique and Romantic Hotel

The service is great! All the staff is amazing and very friendly. Especially the one on the beach activity centre. I wanted to snorkel and bring my 3 young kids with me. 2 guys brought us to the snorkel spot with canoe and paddle board. They showed us the spot and kept us save and bring us back. we had a really good time. The breakfast is good, lunch and dinner is just okay. Nothing special. The hotel is really unique and romantic. But my kids found it a bit scary. A bit dark and have a lot of statue.Maybe more suitable to couples and young family. The only cons is there’s a lot of mosquitos. So make sure to put on the mosquito repellent.

We stayed at Hotel Tugu from the 8th to the 12th of May 2019. What an awesome way to start our honeymoon adventure in Indonesia. We stayed in a beautiful bungalow with a king-sized bed and an outdoor bathroom. The WIFI, air condition and minibar were very pleasing. The hotel is a lavish museum of adventure contained on a lush green property with fabulous pools, artistic Indonesian décor, a relaxing spa and a pretty beach. The staff was amazing and very attentive and the food and cocktails were fresh, delicious, exotic and most important plentiful. Afternoon tea was always a delight and relaxing at any of the hotel’s amenities was just perfect. The only downside to the hotel was that once you are there you do not want to leave the premises to explore the local area which was also interesting i.e. the Elephant park and The Gillies. When we return to Indonesia it will definitely be our first stop and we would recommend it to every and anyone who is looking for a beautiful experience in Lombok.

We went a few weeks after they re opened due to the earthquakes and we were a little nervous but it was absolutely amazing. The property is insanely beautiful. The hotel did not look like it had any damage at all. The staff was incredible and so helpful and Accommodating. One of the most beautiful places Ive ever stayed. Highly recommend!!!

if you visit lombok and you can afford the hotel then go. amazing enviroment. top staff, food and facility. due to the lack of activities outside of the hotel what has nothing to do with the just because its a bit outside of the main attractions i recomend to go not more than 1 week because you will always stay inside the facility. but its worth to go and relax and having a great expirience.

Okay, but way overrated and overpriced

This hotel gets excellent reviews, and I'm not sure why. The facilities are old, both in a charming way but also in just a tired, used way. Service is generally excellent, but you come to expect that in places like Lombok and Bali. Dinner on the beach was nice, and they don't charge extra for serving it on the beach, but the food is expensive and generally so so; sometimes quite good, sometimes not.

The beach is beautiful and private, but you can't really swim because the water is both very shallow and rocky.

Overall, it was okay, but way too expensive for the room, which did not even have a decent couch or really comfortable place to site.

An excellent escape in Lombok with 5 star services

From the moment we started coordinating with the hotel by email and entered the hotel upon our arrival with staff greeting us throughout our stay until the departure it's been fabulous. Smiles are everywhere in the hotel. All staff are friendly, helpful, courteous, etc!! To be fair all has been great the environment, people, facilities, foods and their service. Definitely will come back again.

REMOTE AND UNIQUE

This would have to be without a doubt the most unique and beautiful hotels we have ever visited. The staff were outstanding and the beach location was remote but well worth the two hour drive from the airport. We began the day swimming with turtles and ended it with dinner on the beach. The only negative was the slow kitchen service but that didn't stop us from having a memorable Lombok experience.

Fantastic Hotel with 37 rooms spread throughout extensive, well kept gardens. Hotel is full of character buildings, curios and statues, harking back to an ancient Indonesia. Food was great. Staff were excellent, very friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone knew our names and our preferences - a truly lovely personal service. Really impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel, the grounds and the beach. Loved the close proximity to nature - butterflies, birds and at night, bats. The inside/outside bathroom was an unusual feature.

An absolutely amazing and beautiful resort. One has to see it to really appreciate the scope and grandeur of the property. Staff were incredibly friendly and so attentive. The food was superb and the restaurant's hours so flexible and open. On the vast grounds of the hotel, there are museum quality statues, antiques and artwork everywhere. Each day I saw something new and intriguing. Management and customer relations personnel were always present and went out of their way to be helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel-probably the best overall resort stay our family has ever experienced.

Best hotel I ever experienced

Tugu Lombok is a very special hotel. Thr best I actually experienced:
- setting is amazing. Art work every where. Beautiful. After 5 days, we were still discovering objects we had not seen the day before
- staff is great. Friendly, smiley, efficient. With an attention to detail I have never seen elsewhere. Our flight was cancelled, they did everything they could to make sure we came back home safely.
- great location

Overall, yes I will definitely recommend to friends. And I hope I will come back.

We had an excellent time at Tugu's. The hotel was wonderful at all levels (rooms, food quality and variety, staff, beach and pool). We spent one full week with the family and enjoyed the entire time.

The hotel is absolutely stunning and staff are super dedicated and friendly all the time. The rooms are amazing, all different and huge.

It takes only 20-30 min to get to get to the Gillis by boat, which departs directly from the hotel beach and can be arranged at any time with the very accommodating staff.

The beach is great for kids and Snorkelling is very good. There are some shells but the hotel provided excellent booties for the water. You may want to bring some for young kids. The pool is wonderful and they actually have two. Overall it was a fantastic experience, this is really a very unique hotel and the location is excellent.

Great resort hotel in peaceful and serene surroundings. Remote and ideal for a true getaway. Hotel has great beach itself with easy access by boat to the Gili Islands. Staff are very attentive and the service is very personalised. Great massages offered by the spa. Highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.

Only improvement I would make is on the hotel wifi which was sometimes intermittent.

The most amazing hotel ever!

We stayed for 3 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. I've stayed in quite a few hotels and have to say that this is probbaly the most impressive hotel I ever stayed at. The usual experience with other hotels is that the images online always make it look better than what it really is, whereas this one was actually quite the opposite, seeing it in reality I couldn't believe that it was even better than what we had expected. It has so much character and a mind blowing design that it is truly unique in comparison to a lot of other hotels. The staff is super friendly and really helpful. I unfortunately can't say much to activities and the surrounding villages as we didn't feel like leaving the hotel, that's how much fun we had!

We arrived late because our flight from Bali got canceled. After 4 hours at the ferry and 4 hours in taxis, it was perfect to arrive at Tugu. They had made us a club sandwich each. The excellent service continued throughout our three night stay at this charming place. We had earlier in our vacation been at Gili T, and if you want a plae to relax, will Tugu be the place. Nothing at the Gilis can be compared.

The first things that grab my attention is the hospitable nature of the people in Hotel Tugu. The minute you step out of your car everyone greets you like an old friends you never met for a long time and make you feel like home. Second is the character of the hotel very detail in every aspect. It crates curiosity and imagination of the past. Third is the comfortable room and warm nice clean beds always good sleep. Forth is the surrounding environment is naturally beautiful and clean. Fifth is the food they are delicious and dinner at the very private and peaceful beach. Holiday Memories to Cherish

This was a holiday experience which was just about perfect in every detail. A minor glitch at the outset - a family suite of two not particularly private bedrooms being allocated to two 'married' couples' - was immediately resolved and with both couples being upgraded for the last few days we all left at the end of our week's holiday very satisfied. The hotel staff were cheerful, attentive and efficient, the kitchen produced good food at reasonable prices and the facilities, which included a large pool, clean sandy beaches and excellent shore-side snorkelling, were generally well maintained and easily accessed. The men enjoyed two rounds of golf on a very parched course but with good greens and lots of rewarding rough in which the delightful caddies proved to be very competent ball finders. Boat trips to neighbouring islands were easily arranged and worthwhile. Candle lit suppers set up on the beach were very enjoyable. We all felt very fortunate in having found such a lovely place to spend a week on holiday. The two hour drive from the airport was more of interest than a disadvantage allowing as it did a close-up view of the island and its people.

Hotel location: The resort is set in a beautiful landscape, in the north side of the island and takes about 2 hours from the airport. So if you decide to stay in Tugu, be prepared to \"stay-in\" the resort for your stay duration. Room: we were upgraded to the Honeymoon Suites - Dadap Merah, which is a massive room with big four poster bed and leaf shape plunge pool on the beach front. We loved our room, except some part, such as the wardrobe area and bathroom could have a brighter lighting. Hotel staff: friendly and they would go out of their way. All you need to do, just ask. Would we go back? maybe not, because of the location is too far way from everything else

A hotel with both imagination and class

This was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in a long while. The owners have created a magical atmosphere through using reclaimed furnishings and creative lighting. It is a little expensive for Indonesia but good value none the less (particularly when compared to other top notch hotels on Lombok). Wish we had stayed longer than our two nights.

Customer Service- excellent; Quality of Food- excellent, but more expensive than Bali (maybe because more remote location), outdoor bathroom- only if you like to be one with nature; Beach- nice, but a little rough getting in and out, and trash washes up on shore (hotel cleans it, and I guess it sadly can't be helped). Overall, a nice hotel with friendly customer service, but the location/remoteness/theme is only for some people.

Private, boutique villa on the beach

We stayed 10 days for a relaxing break. We expected to spend more time doing various activities on offer but were upgraded to a fabulous villa with a huge private pool on the beach - which was very difficult to leave. The setting was beautiful, meals offered at any location of your choice, plenty of variety both local and international. We tended to brunch in the restaurant, then have dinner on the beach. Massages great, yoga on the beach where the only noise was the waves and the odd fishing boat chugging around the bay. We took the \"Dragon boat\" snorkelling in the Gili islands and visited local sites - the hotel arranged guides and drivers, who were all english speaking.
Staff were very professional, friendly and quick to make suggestions and offer options. Any issues dealt with quickly, with no fuss. The property is spread out and we hardly noticed others. We valued the the chance to read a book in a beautiful setting with the choice to venture around the island as we wished - this was a fabulous R&R holiday.

Setting was ideal food let it down significantly

The location, staff and general feeling of the hotel was glorious but the food was overpriced and a real disappointment, on several occasions we took the first bite then pushed the plate to the side, something unusual for both my partner and me. Breakfast should be included, they have got a monopoly with breakfast as closest alternative is 40min away. The pricy and distasteful meals left a bad taste in our mouths...pun intended!

Our memorable honey moon

We were staying for 5 days. Once we arrived at hotel Tugu, we were welcomed with warm welcome from the hotel General manager and first class service by Tugu hotel staff. The room we stayed was at Bagawat Gita suite we welcomed by a private swimming pool and open beach just in from room. Food were fantastic and recommended to have private dinner by the beach. Love hotel Tugu and will be seeing you soon

Amazing

Probably one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The food was amazing, the staff where so warm, friendly and no request was too difficult. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and well maintained and the rooms were sublime, especially that amazing king size bed that could sleep a small army. We felt very cared for whilst at Tugu and loved our massages and cooking class. I can't think of anything negative about experience at all, total paradise.

Fantastic hotel, amazing experience

We have just returned from a week in this amazing hotel. We We cannot fault any part of our experience there. The people at the hotel were so friendly and helpful. The accommodation we were provided (Aloon Aloon Villa) was five star. The location of the hotel itself was amazing, on a white sandy beach with the Gili islands in the distance on one side and the volcano in the distance on the other side. Will always be a magical memory for us.

Piece of paradise

The hotel transports you into another era. Each piece of architecture is beautiful and woven into the hotel experience. The staff is extremely courteous, though the service is slightly slow, but the quality makes up for it. The Spa, the beach and the restaurant are absolutely brilliant. The Bhagwad Gita suites are worth splurging on.

Authentic Indonesian Glamour

We really enjoyed our stay and was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the resort and the friendliness of the staff. We will definately go back it was well worth it. Very relaxing and felt very spoilt by the experience.

Great Lombok Getaway

If you are looking for somewhere to relax this is a great place to stay. Restraunt food is good. Accomodation is comfortable. You need to have a clear plan of which boat and ferry you would use to get the Gilli islands - Banka ferry wharf is an aweful place to go.
