Conveniently located to major facilities such as shops etc but also far enough away from the hotels and bars so is nice and quiet. Rooms are very clean and comfortable and car park is behind a locked gate in the evening. It is good value for what you get but it is 3 star so functional not fancy.

Not great value for your money.

Ot was ok here. Room was clean, staff were friendly but its a bit run down. No where to sit in the room except on the bed.
The pool was nice and there's a bbq area but the bbq wasn't clean.
Laundry facilities available but the ehole place needed a tidy up.

Good value, neat, clean room and stocked bathroom. With no bedside lamp as advertised, Charlie was able to bring us a lamp for light. A great position to walk into town for supplies or drive straight out on the right to Nitmiluk Gorge. A big fridge. The cooking hot plate space is not practical in size and when we were there, a dark corner as light on exhaust fan didn’t work. Happy with our stay.

The motel has recently been renovated. The room was neat but the room door kept jamming. The towels and face washer had dirty stains on them. The sheets were a 'dirty white' colour and we were unsure as to whether they had been changed. The fridge in the room was very noisy. The water in the swimming pool was murky and appeared to not have a filter and had no chlorine smell at all. We hopped out very quickly.
The owner was friendly and you can tell that they are wanting to do a good job. However, it is definitely very average and when you're having to sleep in a motel with spikes on the fences and an electric gate that is closed at night to keep the locals out, it's a little unsettling. If you're looking for a cheap and poor to average motel this is fine, but do not expect any more.

Nothing makes the price acceptable

Whilst this property is renovated backpackers - the price of $249 a nite is absolutely not warranted. Staff, as mentioned in most other feedback, are very accommodating, however there are a few things that dont work well for solo female travellers. Curtains were quite small and i was unable to completely close them and as windows are low enough anyone walking past can look in, so all rather disconcerting. As also mentioned previously, property has safety gate that is locked @ 7:00 pm .. however if you are returning after that time you actually have to get out of your car to enter gate code .. again as a solo female - very uncomfortable especially with current level of crime in Katherine. On the plus side .. there is a full size fridge if that's helpful for you .. Overall hopelessly overpriced - perhaps would stay again if price was half

K-Town Hotel is just what you need after a long drive in the outback. Hassan and his wife are doing a terrific job with this business in a difficult and remote location. The room was perfectly comfortable, clean and well appointed. The king bed was very comfy and sheets clean and soft. Great shower, full size fridge, huge smart tv and a very inviting pool which we didn’t use. Easy and secure parking with automatic locking gate after 7:30pm. Highly recommended

Was clean and the aircon worked really well. Contrary to most other properties, the tv was well connected and allowed for viewing of streaming services. The area felt a bit disconnected but it was very quiet and we had a good night sleep.

I don’t recommend. Pubes throughout, shower needed cleaning as floor had some sort of substance on the shower floor making it slippery, no blanket on second bed, toilet not cleaned and when telling the owner all he wanted was to not have a bad review and that rooms get checked randomly.
I don’t recommend.

I will never deal with this motel or Wotif again. Both blames each other for a cancellation that was not applied and I had to cover full cost without staying there. I tried to communicate with both several times with no compassion for my situation.

Management provided me a room that upon entry seemed very clean, modern, and quite well laid out. However the main downside which is major is that they asked me to stay in a room without a door lock, and management on site further advised that it was acceptable for me to do so. The on site manager gave me a door lock and expected me to change the lock after handing me a screwdriver. The lock did not work and further they knew about this for the day and don't bother checking the door lock.

Unacceptable and unprofessional. The owner called me and refunded me but it was a pain and time consuming for me to find alternative accommodation.

Entrance to hotel on Giles St, not Third St. The property has been recently renovated, so the room was nicely decorated and furnished. Some of the details were not perfect (like the caulking in the bathroom), but overall nicely done - clean, comfortable and functional. Could use a few more large pillows. Staff were a bit odd - had 2 different staff call me the day before to confirm my booking, and when I checked in there was some confusion regarding payment (I had selected pay on arrival, but when we got there our credit card had already been charged that morning). They supplied toiletries - somehow we ended up with 3 shampoos (no shower gel/soap or conditioner). When my husband went to get soap, the staff member rolled his eyes like it was all too hard, and ended up giving us body lotion, not soap. So we used the liquid hand soap on the sink to shower with. The pool looked murky, so we did not use it. Not sure about the area around the hotel, but all of Katherine has a bit of a strange (unsafe?) vibe. Great location for access to Nitmiluk / Katherine Gorge as you just follow Giles Road. Overall a good stay (a bit weird), but I would probably stay in the caravan park next time.

The advertised accommodation was presentable with a list of inclusions. But this did exist at all. The actual accommodation was beyond description, to name a few: uncomfortable queen bed instead of king with just one sheet, a thin waffle blanket and two pillows that have passed their used by date; a table and chair; a fridge; one bedside table; a TV. The bathroom was dirty without any amenities. No adequate hot water for shower and the list goes on. We strongly do not recommend this provider.

The place presented quite well in the pictures but the new Reno job is a bit below par. New appliances though and staff member at the front desk was helpful.
Unfortunately there was no running water when we arrived after our long drive (these things happen though), but also little things like our bath mat being damp, toilet seat had the word “slayer” etched into the top of it haha, back of the toilet leaked, and we also had ants come into the room (partly our fault as we had something sweet in our bag). The staff was helpful in trying to remedy this but we just felt that we were a bit hard done by for what we payed. Expect a hostel done up cheaply to look like a hotel and you’ll be satisfied

Staff looking after reception were very helpful and helped me through some difficulties during my stay.
Rooms were beautiful and clean.
Security was of high importance to the property and they ensured patrons and cars were safe with overnight gate in place.
I would look forward to staying again if my travels take me that way again.
