Only one thing I could critique and that was when I arrived it was self check in which is fine however I never recieved a code to be able to drive in or to get my room key.
Otherwise pool area was nice with good seating for all , bbq etc. Room was very clean so no issues at all. Owners were very friendly on checkout. All in all beside no codes it was good

Our room was on the second floor, on the end and although we could hear people in the BBQ/Pool area, it a otherwise fairly quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. Breakfast was a great hot buffet that was regularly replenished. Also cereal, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and toast. All at a great price.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone paying through Katherine.

Being a technological luddite, I did not like this \"self check in\" business. I am used to seeing a receptionist who can not only check me in, but also give advice. I managed to sneak in as a car was leaving and the person at reception was absolutely fantastic. Checked me in and informed me about breakfast being included in the price. Information I would not have received had I attempted this \"self check in\". The other criticism is the lack of parking which should be made clear when booking. 25 spots for 50 rooms is not really good enough. Otherwise very good.

Yes, I know it is Katherine and consequently not a lot of choice but this motel could do with a revamp. The outside looks like a prison camp. The inside of the room was spacious which is good, but the step down from the bathroom caught me off guard numerous times. A hairdryer, toaster and more cutlery than one teaspoon would have been useful.

Stayed a night for exploring Katherine surrounds. Family room for space. Comfortable beds and quiet during the night. Close to the main centre. The lovely staff had a bar operating and pizzas for sale in the pool area when we arrived. Good atmosphere. They do a self check in when arriving and details were sent via inbox in Expedia. There is a code to access the front gate and another to access a safe for the key. Easy. Breakfast was a substantial buffet and included in your room price. A great stay!

The place was tired & needed some TLC. We had a 1st floor room & didn’t realise this when booking in.
However, the facility was accommodating & moved us to a ground floor apartment with no issues & ease and were friendly & approachable.
The included breakfast was a welcome & was a variety of cooked buffets or continental. Tea/coffee/juices.
Centrally located & secure.
Pool was a refreshing oasis after a day of exploring.

We were told we would be sent a message detailing how to access our room key as we had contacted the hotel already to advise we would be arriving after reception was closed. We received no message. Fortunately for us another guest arrived, who had received a message, who was then able to access the safe with all the envelopes containing keys for guests yet to arrive so thankfully she was able to let us have our envelope, plus the gate code for the car to come back into to locked car park. What would have happened without the other guest?? Very concerning

Not a bad stay - the room was nice (although the bathroom needs some love) and it was close enough to town whilst also avoiding the highway. I had trouble entering because the access email had been sent back in Nov - that's my problem but maybe look at resending it again when guests are arriving. Parking was a bunfight with guests leaving their cars wherever they could and there were a lot of noisy people leaving very early but I get that's hard to stop.

Where do I start? I called the Property to let them know I would be there late. They said there will be a key in a box for me. I arrived. No key in the box. Tried calling for 20 minutes. No answer left a message as I had my granddaughter with me got a return call to be advised that there was a key in the box under the carpet And my room was number six only to find out when I got to room number six someone else was in there on a man with a 20 month old child frighten the life of him not to mention myself to then be told no you can go to a mix Room number four another man sleeping. It’s 11 o’clock at night they said as these people were in the rooms and not meant to be there that would send someone around to sort out. I was then given so called upgrade rooms not on upgrade at all. I would not stay again as the room my key I was given could open up every apartment I wasn’t the only one with one of these keys safety not so great Not to mention that I’m saying that it was gonna send someone at 11 pm or 1130 by this time to kick them out on the street and beat them up not very safe or secure nor something I want to hear in front of my 20 month old granddaughter. Bed was hard sheets were not so nice they had pilling all over them shower was cold no hot water taps were falling off. The wall and tiles were broken in the entry to the bathroom. Internet service was very slow TV didn’t even run programs on pay TV very disappointing. The pool was nice. The staff in the morning very apolog

The hotel pool is well equipped with a BBQ facility, cooking equipment and seving plates, it was fantastic after been visiting the national parks near Katherine in warms days to return to the hotel have a swing in the pool and use the bbq for facilities to cook dinner instead of going out to a restaurant.

Relaxing stay in Katherine. Motel had all the necessary features. Pool was enjoyable albeit a little cool. Entry requires a code to enter on a keypad. A little tricky on arrival as we had not received an email re the code. Quickly resolved with a phone call to the contact mobile. Staff quite helpful.
Katherine has a number of features eg Nitmuluk Gorge, Hot springs, Top Didj that can fill a few days.

Loved it. It is a late 70s property with original fittings, but is very clean.
To our delight a full breakfast was part of the deal and at night they make excellent pizzas that you can buy at eat by the pool. The manager was chatty, the staff happy and friendly.
Would happily stay again if ever going to Katherine.

Spacious Room

We stayed on two occasions, a week apart. The room was large, very clean and had a long desk and a table with four chairs as well as the expected frig and hospitality tray, iron etc. Bathroom worked well. Air conditioning and blackout blinds were efficient. It’s a few blocks from the centre of town in very quiet surroundings.
There is a security fence around the motel, guests are emailed a gate access code to use if reception is closed on arrival. We were told that, if no parking space is available, to park on the grass in front of the motel.
Motel does offer breakfast for additional charge, we left early and did not sample it. The Katherine Country Club provides a courtesy bus Tuesday-Sunday nights, if they have a driver available.

The motel itself wasn't that bad although the Wi Fi left something a lot to be desired. There was no soap holder in the shower so no place to put the soap or your shampoo. The shower curtain rod fit loosely in the plug on one side so that if you even pushed slightly on the glass wall, the shower curtain fell down. Breakfast was mediocre for the price.
The town of Katherine was very disappointing due to high crime in the area and a security fence mentality that made one wonder if the town could see any growth at all. The sole attraction seems to be the Gorge which is 29 km out of town.

Friendly staff, great breakfast, and we loved the pool, BBQ and fire pit. The room and furnishing were terribly old and tatty, our room worse than our friends. The beds were decent, however a doona rather than single sheet with blanket (that probably doesn’t get washed to often) would have been nice and more comfortable.

Location is quiet and near the main street.
WiFi actually works! I have travelled a lot even during the pandemic and stayed at many abodes but to get WiFi that actually works is a rarity. Large room well laid out with desk, cupboard, table/chairs, fridge, bedside cabinets/lights, iron, wardrobe and comfortable beds/pillows. Great aircon and fan
