I have stayed at this hotel many times, however 2 issues arose this time that would keep me from giving it 5 stars. One, housekeeping never came during my 4 night stay. I was a bit surprised at that. Thankfully, I made it work with the towels I had. Two, the AC unit in my room got incredibly noisy and loud around 4am. The compressor was whining badly. I tried turning it off but no luck. I did let the front desk know about it that morning and they said they would have maintenance look at it. Thankfully, it was quieter the remainder of my stay.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in Athen, Georgia. It was clean, had a great breakfast, and the rooms were nice with big bathrooms. The location is close to shopping and some good chain restaurants. Everyone likes to stay in the downtown area near the college but I will definitely consider this property next time.

This is a beautiful, clean property. My only complaint is the outside noise. High traffic area 24/7. We were on 2nd floor over looking parking lot & facing main high traffic road. Also near trash container & it was emptied about 5:00 am!

Superbly clean, but outdoor noise from traffic and sirens made rest pretty much a dream. Everything within the hotel's purview was excellent though, even soft music in the parking deck. One tidbit of advice though. Male workers shouldn't enter the hotel gym if a solo woman is in there exercising. It should be treated almost like a female restroom.

My husband had surgery. We stayed to make sure he was good before traveling home. When I asked for a wheelchair to take my husband in, the wheelchair was an adult stroller. It was not even an average size wheelchair. This is an issue for any one over 200 lbs! He had to walk on a walker with oxygen and a catheter bag down a long hall to the elevator and then down another long hall to the room.

I thought the room was very nice, and the bathroom, but a bare minimum of bathroom amenities. Refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body was in shower is fine of course, but one tiny little bar of cheap soap? No lotion, no shower cap. Geez. There was a sign about reaching out if you needed something.

The one thing I get concerned about with booking through Orbitz is that when I go to the front desk, not here but another hotels as well , they still try to charge me for the room, not knowing that it was already paid through orbitz. I’m not sure how to clear up this Misunderstanding that it’s already been paid for through Orbitz

My only complaint is the location. It wasn’t a convenient area or very nice. We had to be at the Classic Center and there are hotels that are more convenient for accessing the Classic Center. I wasn’t familiar with Athens and didn’t know.
