We got there to check in & had to wait because no one was at the front then we were asked to pay an additional $34 for some type of fee and $100 deposit for the room. After making payment he says “the bad news is you’re on 3rd floor and the elevator is broken” he helped us get our bags up the steps. Carpets disgusting. Got to the room, wanted to use the bathroom, flush doesn’t work, wanted to shower, no water. Rusty shower ! Dirty floors, walls, but good

Great location. Walkable to Convention Center (~10min). The Miami trolley stop (free) is nearby. A bit noisy Fri/Sat nights until ~11p with DJ and games if your room is in the Dorset building w/balconnet. The balconnet rooms open to a walled view.

The theme of the hotel is really cool. However Hotel is very outdated needs upgrades badly. The shower water pressure isn’t good and the shower wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been unfortunately. One of the ladies at the front desk gave my friend and I a complementary breakfast voucher and the breakfast was pleasant I really appreciate that.

Checking staff was not helpful. Room was not ready at check in. Was told they would call when it was. At 7pm we still did not hear from front desk staff. Pool was not kept clean, pool furniture was in poor condition. Staff was not courteous. The only Ice machine was in the kitchen that the restaurant and guests both shared. Our room was clean and in good condition except the shower had mold and did not look like it was cleaned well. Had to haul our luggage to the adjacent building through the outdoor restaurant to reach the elevator to our room. Would not stay again and would not recommend!

Loved the stay. Staff was very friendly and this was a perfect location. I am a huge fan of the rooftop pool experience, so very lovely. My only wish is that the room would have had more hangers or shelves as we were 3 who stayed in a room and it would’ve been helpful to have more space to put stuff. Aside from that, amazing experience.

We experienced multiple serious issues and were never provided with a livable room.

The first room had a strong mold odor with visible mold on walls and windows. It was clearly uninhabitable. We were moved to a second room where water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling due to a broken air conditioner. The noise was constant, and the situation was unsafe. Maintenance came but did not fix the issue and left the bathroom and AC partially dismantled.

We were then shown a third room. It had the same mold smell as the first room, and the air conditioner was loud and malfunctioning. At this point, it was clear the hotel could not provide a proper room.

We did not stay overnight and had to leave and book another hotel at our own expense. Despite this, a refund was not properly processed.

The location is good, but the condition of the rooms and the handling of the situation are unacceptable. This reflects a failure to meet basic health, safety, and service standards.

For the price and location, it's fine. I didn't see any bugs and the bed was fine. Some things were redone in the room, some are still ancient. Lots of noise though.. the fridge, the ac unit in the balcony door, the actual air duct in the ceiling, you can hear every detail that happens through the walls / doors.

I stayed in the maxine building and its was not as expected, I woke up to roaches in my room and the bathroom, I had to be moved to the main building the Catalina where I expected to stay originally the phones weren’t working it took them forever to bring us wash cloths it’s wasn’t horrible however it wasn’t worth the money spent the room in the Catalina was a bit better no roaches obviously and the sheets were a bit better quality. I would come back however I’d like to avoid the Maxine building.

They gave us another room and “discounted” us the different between the room we booked and the one we got so essentially I paid full price for a room I didn’t book. He was not accommodating at all.

There are actually 3 properties in which you can stay. We ended up in an adjacent property that was co-located with Taco Taco restaurant. We rented a junior suite thinking it would be larger with a seating area - it was a basic hotel room. The room was dated, the noise from outside could be heard until midnight, and the A/C rattled. Definitely never again .....

The room was to small, the bathroom was to small and the water leaked out of the shower . Theres no microwave or refrigerator to keep your food in. The point of paying hitel fees is for room service which they never came to clean the rooms you had to ask for them to clean your room. Well if im paying for that service i shouldn't have to ask. We had no windows and was put in the front with all the noise. Had to ask for clean towels and rags . Over all if i could give it a negative star i would. Do not recommend. Oh the beds were very uncomfortable . The staff at front desk wasnt pleasant either.

A little dated but clean and amazing rooftop pool area. Fun, cheerful and Miami vibes. The staff I would give 10 stars. Super nice and Maria greeted us with such kindness to where it felt like she was welcoming us to her home. Word of advice if you wish to sleep late ask to be put in the building without the rooftop pool. They have the music rocking at 9am. Beach access across the road and fabulous food walking distance.

We came here with kids and chose this hotel because it looked attractive from the outside and is close to the beach. Unfortunately, everything was disappointing from the very beginning.

There was no proper parking available — we had to pay $43 for valet parking, and it wasn’t even clear where our car was being taken. We also had to wait about 40 minutes to check in, with only two receptionists working very slowly.

The pool was dirty, with a lot of hair, some feathers, and what looked like mold on the bottom.

It was also very noisy at night. We went to bed around 10 PM, but loud music from the bar kept playing. We had to leave the air conditioner on all night just to block out the noise.

The reception was poor. The clerk was not helpful. There was no drinking glass in the room and tv didn't work. Called the front desk. No answer. Went downstairs. Said the clerk was out for 5 minutes. Waited and he didn't return.

It was the absolute worst! Not only was the hotel crappy the room next door was being renovated and the carpenters were drilling, pounding and hammering everyday starting before 9am. I'm calling my credit card company! It was THE WORST - AND THE VALET GUY WAS A TOTAL JERK WHO TOOK FOREVER TO GET YOUR CAR! THE WORST STAY EVER!

The one front desk lady continuously rolled her eyes everytime we talked to her, she was very arrogant and rude.
The property had no ice machine, we were told we had to walk next door to “taco taco” or walk to “Maxine” next door to get ice.
If you wanted to use the pool you had to walk next door on either side to use those buildings pools.
Our hotel room was very small.
There was no mini fridge or microwave. It was a very basic room- just a bed, small dresser, tv and a bathroom.
Online it’s advertised that there’s a pool and bar etc. - again you have to walk next door for any of those things.
When we got to the hotel they charged an additional $136 that you don’t get back on top of the deposit, they did not disclose this until we were at hotel.

Only stayed one night after a cruise but will definitely be back. Reasonable price, amazing staff went above and beyond. Maria at the front desk is wonderful and helped make our stay even better with breakfast and dinner vouchers for maxines and a bottle of wine. Kelvin assisted other details to make everything perfect for us. I can't wait to come back with more family and friends.

I had a terrible experience with this hotel, and I would strongly caution others before staying here.

The front desk arranged a taxi for us to go to PortMiami and clearly quoted us a flat rate of $75. However, as we got close to the port, the driver suddenly changed the price to $138 with no explanation. This felt like a complete scam.

To make matters even worse, the driver didn’t even take us to the correct cruise terminal. We were dropped off two terminals away and forced to walk the rest of the way with all of our luggage. It was stressful, frustrating, and completely unacceptable—especially when trying to make it to a cruise on time.

Since this ride was arranged directly through the hotel, they should take responsibility for the services they recommend. Referring guests to a driver who engages in deceptive pricing and provides poor service reflects very poorly on the hotel.

This experience ruined the start of our trip. I would not trust this hotel to arrange anything for you—especially transportation.

Be very careful if you stay here. And I’m not a tourist !

The hotel is in a great walkable area with several restaurants right downstairs and only a block from the beach. The only issue was that when we checked in and were admitted to our room, the elevator in our building was out of service, so we had to walk up three flights of stairs with our luggage and then down again for checkout. Once there, we realized there were no towels in our room for showering. We asked twice and waited over an hour with no towels. When we were leaving the room, we ran into housekeeping and asked again, and finally received towels.

Overall we had a good stay. The place could use an upgrade. The bathroom setup was very different but ended up working out ok. The room was very big and had plenty of windows but non of the windows had a view. I liked having the restaurants right on the property. We ate at both of them and the food was very good. I liked the vibe of the area and it was just a short walk to the beach, The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good value and great location. Rooftop and courtyard pools were great to have use of as well as the beach/pool towels provided. Room seemed a bit worn and furnished with what appeared to be flea market furniture. Certainly not a 5-star place, but was still fun and worth staying here. Property doesn’t seem to be able to enforce its “no smoking on premises” policy. Plenty of cannabis aroma in the air. :(

Check in was very difficult they wouldn’t let us unload our bags without paying $45 even though we weren’t actually parking, the photos on website does NOT resemble the actual place. My hotel room was actually next door in an entire different building took about 20 minutes to locate. Staff was not very welcoming, the elevator was out of service so i had to use the stairs. The room was at the end of the hall near an exit door that stayed cracked open the entire trip. The room door itself did not have a chain nor were they any towels in the bathroom. The room phone did not work so i had to walk next door to front desk for towels for the gentleman to tell me that he would bring them & never did. I requested them again the next day and another staff said the door was locked, when I requested to speak to management they said that they weren’t there. Last but not least I never received my deposit & now they’re not answering and im back in my home town. Will never return, dont waste your money I would not recommend!!
