I would certainly seek better options next time. Keep in mind that La Verkin is far from Zion and has no restaurants, supermarkets, stores, or anything convenient whatsoever. It seems unreasonable to charge the same rates as other comparable hotels—some even located much closer to Zion National Park—while also imposing an additional fee for breakfast. The front desk staff was frequently distracted, and their demeanor often came across as superficially friendly, lacking a genuine warmth. The rooms were clean and well decorated. Beds were pretty comfortable, but the stark white lights illuminating the rooms are quite harsh and uninviting; a switch to warm, softer lighting would create a far more pleasant atmosphere. The pool area leaves much to be desired as well; its design is flawed, being completely engulfed in shadows from the property during the peak midday hours, making it less enjoyable. Additionally, while the gym boasts ample space, it lacks sufficient weightlifting equipment.
