Zimmer und Betten ok. Fenster für kleine Menschen schlecht zu öffnen. Miserabel isolierte Heizungsrohre laufen durch, weswegen es zu warm zum Schlafen ist.

Overall the hotel is closed to the center and the station. One thing what I missed was the cooling in the room. With this hot weather I was not able to find solutions to cool the room down, and do not know if that even exists. Beside that, the hotel is good for short trips.

Es gibt bessere Hotels in Chemnitz

Bei meiner Anreise um 15:30 Uhr war mein Zimmer noch nicht verfügbar. Ich sollte um 16:00 Uhr noch einmal vorbeikommen. Es gab weder ein Angebot, mein Gepäck dort zu lassen, noch eine sonstige Entschuldigung. Also musste ich mein Gepäck wieder im Auto lassen. Für den Parkplatz wurden 15,00 € verlangt. Als ich am Abend von einer Besprechung zurückkam, gab es keine freien Parkplätze mehr. Eine Rechnung für die Übernachtung gibt es auch nicht, weil ich über Hotels.com gebucht habe. Bei allen anderen Hotels habe ich eine Rechnung erhalten. Der Service ist wirklich schlecht. Das einzige, was das Hotel hat, ist die zentrale Lage.

It is like a socialist nightmare. Didnt expect this to still exist in 2024. Tiny, dirty room, with no AC, only one outlet behind the tv, no space to sit on old desk. Wifi horribly spotty, impossible to work let alone do a virtual meeting. Avoid.

Das Zimmer bot fast alles was wichtig ist. Bei diesen hohen Temperaturen (über 30 Grad ) wäre vielleicht ein Ventilator nicht schlecht gewesen. Das Fenster ließ sich zwar öffnen, aber bei diesen Temperaturen nicht wirklich hilfreich. Vielleicht wäre auch eine Klimaanlage vernünftig.
Ansonsten war unser Aufenthalt sehr gut.

Everything was fine when we checked in. Then we got to the elevator and had our first aha moment. The background noise didn't exactly inspire confidence. The rooms were tiny, you could barely walk around the bed. If you kept your dog in there, the animal protection agency would step in. Using the toilet was a real challenge, squeezed so tightly between the wall and the shower cubicle. Strange hair on the bed.
The breakfast deserves a positive mention. It was varied and appetizing. However, the placemats were so dirty, disgusting.
All in all, never again!!!

According to my previous experience with my stay in 4 stars hotels in different cities all around the world, I asked the receptionist to give us tow pairs of Slippers but they refused and said give the negative rate as you wish. I am also got charged extra rather than my invoice from Expedia.
I guess the receptionists there need more orientation lessons to learn how to deal with customers like me. I am a medical doctor and unfortunately my wife suffers from OCD however we had no issues with our previous stays in another hotels but Congress Hotel in Chemnitz.!!
So disappointed.

The hotel was very close to the main station which was helpful. Very close to food. I loved that my room had a very large bathtub. Was a little upset that the room didn’t have a safe. The listing says that there’s room service during limited hours but there wasn’t anything in the room that would have described the services offered by the hotel. The WiFi was free which was great until my free access code was disabled. Over all my stay was fine.

Constant pounding from 7:00 AM until after 10:00 PM. They must have a trash shoot from upper floors because there was a constant wind howling and the sound of duct work expanding and contracting. Got no sleep due to the noise.

Spoke to the manager in the morning. She explained your in a city hotel you should expect noise. I agreed that we would expect traffic noise but not construction noise. The manager was rude and basically said too bad. Rooms in the area of the renovations should not be rented out. The situation was handled very poorly by the manager and staff.

There was mold in the showers so we asked
To change rooms. After we asked to change the hotel staff seemed irritate. They then said I would need to pay for two towls that I had used to wash my makeup off my face before even trying to wash it! It's makeup it will come off with a little soap and water. I gave the towel back and said I'm not paying because y'all haven't even tried to wash it. Internet is 5 dollars per device per day so that wasn't great If you needed to use more than one device.

There was about two courteous staff members of the 7 I talked to throughout my stay. They did have free apples and plums that I thought were great and the area was really safe. Walking away I think the staff needs to work on their customer service but the overall hotel was ok

OK Hotel..Not too much happy

So I book this hotel by looking at the pictures and review, what I found is they gave me 2 twin bed and when tell them I need queen bed, they charge be 15 Euro more per night. Well I paid and when I got to room, there is only one pillow on queen bed. The comforter was small (seems to be 3.5ft wide) so I dont cover you if you turn during your sleep. There is no Iron in the bed room and when you ask for iron, they have to hunt of iron and tell you that its not available but they found iron for me the next day. Interesting thing, there is no FREE WiFi, you have to pay 12.5 Euro per day for WiFi and also you can use same WiFi account to your cell phone and laptop. You have to pay extra to login to other device. No Free breakfast, it 15 Euro per day. So at the end of of the day, either the hotel deal was a good one but you pay so much extra, it is better to find a different hotel.

The hotel has a locked storage room when arriving before check-in. The earliest check-in in 1pm.

The wifi for a guest is 5 euro for 24 hours per device. Otherwise it is 12 euro. Having to pay for internet is reason enough to never stay here again for me.

The room was clean and decent size. They also have a bar and breakfast though we opted for cheaper food from one of the many near by restaurans. The hotel staff are very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Be aware most everything is closed on sundays.

I was in town for 1 night visiting friends who are local and this hotel was the perfect choice. It's within walking distance of the train station and a block away from the central shopping district. The bonus was that my room faced the Karl Marx monument as well. Internet was quite pricey at 12 euros for 24 hours.

The Hotel is fine but there was an issue with booking, so I was charged twice for the same reservation, once by the hotel and once by Hotels.com. The hotel informed me that they would not reverse the charges, so I was effectively overcharged 100%.

Great Place to Stay

Business hotel, right in the center of the city. We were there as \"tourists\" so it was a good location to the town halls and info center. Also convenient to the train.

Room was clean. Bathroom good--another small shower typical of a European hotel, but clean.

Two double beds were decent. Got a bonus of the fireworks show out our hotel window from the fair while we were there. Fun!

Das Gebäude hat Geschichte und bereits ein paar Jahre auf dem Buckel. Das sieht man auch direkt bei Anreise. Dies bemerkte ich auch beim 1. Zimmer was mir gegeben wurde. Hier schloss das Fenster nicht richtig dicht so daß permanent eine Art pfeifen zu hören war.
Auf Nachfrage wurde mir durch das freundl. Personal aber ohne Probleme ein anderes Zimmer gegeben. Auch hier waren kleine Mängel wie ein nicht kühlender Minikühlschrank oder Abnutzspuren im Bad an Spiegeln und Fugen. Für eine Nacht für mich jedoch kein Problem. Alles war nach Machbarkeit wirklich sauber. Auch Lärm oder Krach war für mich nachts nicht wahrzunehmen.
Frühstück in der obersten Etage ein absolutes Highlight allein der Aussicht wegen. Aber auch beim Frühstück selbst gab's nix zu meckern. Alles das was man braucht oder auch nicht. Von warm bis kalt, von süß bis herzhaft.
Mein Fazit: Wer mit kleinen Makeln leben kann macht hier nix verkehrt.

Insgesamt leider nur mittelmäßig. Für Aufenthalte im Sommer würde ich das Hotel nicht empfehlen: Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, lediglich auf Nachfrage einen Ventilator, und die Fenster lassen sich nur kippen – entsprechend warm und stickig wird es im Zimmer.

Auch sonst kam keine richtige Wohlfühlatmosphäre auf; vieles wirkt, als würde an allen Ecken gespart. Die Zimmerreinigung erfolgt nicht automatisch, sondern muss am Vortag angemeldet werden. Das ist grundsätzlich in Ordnung, anderswo gibt es für den Verzicht immerhin einen Getränkegutschein o. Ä. Ungewöhnlich fand ich außerdem, dass die Toilette im Erdgeschoss gegenüber der Rezeption nur mit Zimmerkarte zugänglich ist. Insgesamt okay für geringe Ansprüche und kühle Tage, aber für mich keine erste Wahl.

In einem Hotel mit 26 Stockwerken würde ich schon eine Klimaanlage erwarten. Stattdessen durften wir uns auf Nachfrage einen Lüfter abholen, den wir auch selbständig zurückbringen mussten. Das Ganze passt zu einem gleichgültigen Personal, einer geschlossenen Bar (Personalmangel), dazu einer leeren Minibar (keine Getränke im ganzen Hotel) und Fenstern in der Größe von Schießscharten, die mit auf Kipp zu öffnen war.

Beim Einchecken war die Dame an der Rezeption nicht zu verstehen, so schlecht war ihr Deutsch.
Als wir das Zimmer betraten hat es dort unfassbar gestunken. Die Bitte die Fenster für eine halbe Stunde komplett zu öffnen, wurde an der Rezeption auch beim zweiten Versuch und der durch mein Asthma bereits auftretenden Atemnot, rundheraus abgelehnt.
Auf dem Flur hat es die kompletten drei Tage entsetzlich gestunken.
Einige Stellen im Zimmer waren definitiv nicht sauber, die Fernbedienung des Fernsehers richtig ekelhaft.
Das Frühstück war gut, das Personal hier extrem freundlich, leider waren Frühstücksraum und Büffet für die Menge der Besucher viel zu klein.

•1. Negatives!: Der Brauseduschkopf von der Badewanne, hat nicht funktioniert! Es kam kein Wasser heraus! Nur aus dem Badewanne-Wasserhahn, lief Wasser! Was Mir aber rein gar nichts gebracht hat! Der Knopf zum Umstellen zwischen Wannenwasserhahn und Brauseduschhahn war defekt, trotz mehrmaligem Drückversuch! Kein Waschlappen vorhanden (weder privat, noch als Hotelservice!)! Somit war Ich gezwungen ungeduscht/ungewaschen (nach Schweiß stinkend!), nachhause (in Berlin: Reisezeit= Ca. 4½ Stunden, mit dem Öffentlichen Personen-Nahverkehr!), zu fahren! Sehr sehr unangenehm! Beim Ausschecken an die Rezeptionsmitarbeiterin weitergeleitet!

•2. Positives!: Das Frühstück war lecker, reichlich und die Servicemitarbeiter, waren sehr serviceorientiert!

Schönes Hotel, geeignet, wenn man nebenan in der Stadthalle eine Veranstaltung besucht.
Das Zentrum von Chemnitz ist nah am Hotel, also fußläufig zu erreichen.

Gut geführtes Hotel mit netten Personal. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend. Dafür hat man eine tollen Blick auf die Stadt.
