Presentation of the room is very poor…carpet is smelly, used for years maybe. Toilet/shower condition is very poor. Very old. Tap water is not working, tip of the tap is rusty, edges of the toilet are too dirty, shower curtains are dusty and smelly. Door’s toilet is too old, paint is dissapearing.

Great location, not so clean

Hotel location is great since it’s close to the airport and to the mall. The only problem was that one time, there was a mouse running around inside the room.
Overall, staff was friendly and very accommodating .

The hotel is new and easy to find. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is a large serving and food at the restaurant are both fulfilling and tasty.

One major issue though is that we found a bedbug in the morning of our second day so we requested to transfer to another room. The bedbug may have come from the previous guests but still, if the beddings were changed and washed then the bedbugs should be gone. We concluded that the beddings were just re-used and not washed. :-(

Overall, it was a nice hotel.

Very welcoming staff, clean and convenient (very close to the airport). The only thing is...it says free shuttle service when needed going to the airport but when we were about to go, the front desk staff couldn't reach the driver. Well, overall was great!

A big turn-off...

Overall, the hotel is good. Affordable and nice staff. But, what turned me off is the lack of quality in food preparation. There was a chunk of plastic in my creamy tuna sandwich..like a broken plastic jar piece! Holy cow!, what if ingested it and punctured my esophagus? I hope, what happened was a rare scenario..

Three night stay.

My wife and three kids stayed here and enjoyed the hotel very much. The meals were very cooked and brought to your room which worked out great. The area is ok a bit busy with traffic but very safe neighborhood.

Overall Good Stay

Overall it was a good stay. The location is convenient, with food places around. The hotel itself is nice. My only complaint is the air conditioning unit that was either too cold or too hot. No comfortable in-between.

Great stay at Casablanca Suites

We enjoyed our stay in Casablanca Suites. We arrive early in the morning and we were allowed to check in early. The front desk personnel allowed us to take our free breakfast even though we weren't supposed to have one that day. The rooms were clean and the air conditioners were working really well. The service of the hotel staff was great. I'll surely recommend this hotel.

Not worth the money

Bathroom is really dirty, the drain in the shower was clogged but never got fixed despite complaints. No towels when we arrived. Beds were as hard as concrete. It wasn't a comfortable stay at all. Front desk staffs were friendly though.

Too pricey

It's an ok hotel but too pricey. For more than 1k per person,I expected a 5 star hotel. It's not. I am sure you can find similar hotels for less. I also made a mistake of requesting late check in. That made the reservation non-refundable. All rooms are on the second floor. There was not enough help to bring up the luggage. Some items were not available in the included breakfast. Breakfast was served in the lobby area while their restaurant is just next door. The air con unit was very noisy. I just did not have the energy to ask for and move to another room as we were tired from our trip. The snacks on top of the refrigerator are not free, beware.

I'd happily stay here again

If you are looking for a place where the staff fawn over you in an ultra-subservient manner, then Casablanca Suites is not for you. If you like a place where the staff are real humans, with human qualities, who are friendly, happy to help, and there when you want them, but not intrusive, then you will probably like Casablanca Suites. My family and I enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay there again.

It is conveniently located, just a short drive to the city centre, and also Cagsawa Ruins and other attractions around Mayon Volcano. Busay Falls is worth a visit, but you need to be reasonably fit and agile to view all seven. The paths leading to the falls need careful negotiation, but the guides are very helpful and give aid when necessary. We only managed to make it to two, but then I and my wife have been Senior Citizens for quite some time! Still worth the trip though.

I will retain fond memories of our stay at Casablanca Suites.

ps. I rated everything at '4' because I'm always a bit suspicious of '5' ratings (there is very little in this world which is perfect). I would have given '4.9' if the option was available.

Nice hotel but lack of maintenance lets it down

The hotel did not provide the airport pick up as arranged. We were just left waiting there.
The bathroom was in a bad state of repair. The shower did not work properly and the sink was blocked. We requested the hotel to repair but they just ignored the request.
The room had cockroaches.
The breakfast was OK but nothing special.
The bed was very hard and uncomfortable so sleep quality was bad.
It is a shame that the hotel neglects the maintenance as it looks quite a new building. It just suffers from a total lack of organisation.

hotel is being used as a terminal for rental shuttle vans, consequently, drivers loiter at the lobby and in front of the hotel, an eyesore. For Expedia- please find a way you can comply with Philippine Law on Senior Citizen law on discounts

Ideal for a quick Pit Stop.

The reception staff were great. They sorted out with some quad biking at the fringe of the Mayon Volcano. First time experience for me and enjoyed. The shuttle and driver was food...restaurant fine. Only bugbear was the bathroom in our room. Everything in it was old fashioned, the basin tap did nothing more than dribble and the shower sprayed all over the place...otherwise good.

Highly recommended!

Hotel front desk are very nice people, so accommodating that if you came in early and there's a room available, they will let you check in early. Very polite and will give you service with a smile. They have also three selections of breakfast to satisfy your appetite. I was happy with our 3-day stay and I highly recommend the hotel to others.

Excellent value and good location

I stayed here for 4 nights with some friends. The rooms were comparable to a hotel that I stayed at last year, but for $30+ less per night. The breakfast was good and the lunch options, provided by Kamia's, was excellent and very reasonably priced. The location of the hotel itself was a great plus, as it was a short tri-cycle ride to the nearby mall. I plan on staying here again next year!

We stayed here for two nights. At first, our initial thought was that it wasn't such a great hotel. however, upon inspection of the room and dining at their restaurant, we decided to try it, and we were very much satisfied. their staff were friendly, in fact, they were the one who suggested an alternate hotel if we were not satisfied enough, and they told us where to go for tour. we were very tired from our 15 hour trip from manila (due to traffic and several stops), but we were able rest well in the hotel. overall, it was such a great experience.

One of the reasons why I booked in this hotel is because of their ads telling free Wifi. However No wifi connection for the 4 days stay. Hotel staff always says that there is a problem with the wifi connection.

New Hotel

We arrived in Albay and ask our driver to take us to Casablanca. Little did we know that there were 2 Casablancas. We should have told him that it's just near the airport, Casablanca Suites is the name. We got our rooms and it was clean but we have to ask for slippers and extra cup and saucer for our coffee and also for extra towels for the other room we rented. I asked for a masseuse and the man in the reception said she'll be coming after an hour. I took a bath and waited! I was so sleepy that I called reception again and I decided to cancel because it's already an hour and a half after and no one came. I missed that massage!

A Problem

We faced a lot of pressure to leave the hotel and go to another one across town even though we repeated over and over that we did not wish to leave. The hotel had booking problems and the management felt the way to solve it was to move guests who were already there.

Not staying there again!

We were escorted to a dirty room and had to just go to the room next door. The bed sheets were old, torn and looked dirty. There was no kettle in our room. There was no wifi for a few hours which is very important for us and had to ask the receptionist to follow up. We leave very early for our flight (0650 hours) when we check out and so we need to make sure we have transport arranged to take us to the airport. We spoke a few times to a few receptionists the night before and was told all will be ok. But the next morning we were told nothing was booked! We didn't want to miss our flight and really didn't want to be there anymore so we grabed a taxi outside and went off. The only nice thing about this place is the food and Its proximity to the airport.

Majestic View of Mayon from the Room

We booked two rooms for two families. Upon check-in we were told that we needed to pay extra per additional person in the room (includes breakfast)because the rate we paid for in hotel.com was only good for 2 adults and 2 kids (12 years old below). The rooms were clean, beds comfortable and offered very good view of Mayon Volcano. However, the bathroom was problematic. The drain wasn't built properly so the bathroom floor flooded while showering.

The breakfast was ala carte. Most of us ordered the Bicolano set because it looked appealing. However, the \"new look\" dried fish was very salty.

The service personnel were courteous.

Since the hotel has few rooms, it offered a home-my feeling. Kids loved the free wi-fi access in the rooms and hotel lobby.

A class on its own!

Casablanca Suites, Alternate Road, is not to be confused with Casablanca Hotel situated in the downtown area. Casablanca Suites is elegant in its own right. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, safe enough to sleep and yet not too far to the downtown area. Cafe Rosenda's, in-house breakfast restaurant's, pili bibingka topped with pistachio ice-cream is to die for. Actually, my husband's strong liking for their version of 'maja blanca' with pili nuts is also strongly recommended. Their Bicolano breakfast is hearty enough to keep your gut filled up until the early afternoon. Quite interesting to see what goes on a plate of a typical Bicolano breakfast, to include their style of suman and 'adobo sa asin.' Must try. I commend the selling technique of their shuttle driver. With an upgrade to get a view of the Mayon Volcano from the room, the shuttle driver knew how to sell the upgrade by pointing out only an increase in 200 pesos a day. In fact, he did it better more than the front office clerk on duty.Commendable! Wished that the front office staff would be more knowledgeable on the attractions located in other towns. Perhaps an extra dose of curiosity from other travellers and locals would make a difference.Nonetheless, Casablanca Suites has a class on its own!

Decent enough for this picky traveler

This was a comfortable stay in a town with few if any higher-end accommodations. The staff is friendly and accommodating, although I got the impression that they are not used to dealing with a lot of tourists. Breakfast/restaurant was decent, but there are several other options immediately next door, and Pacific mall is a short tricycle ride away (20-30pesos).

The air conditioner was an older, noisy window unit, which had a slight odor to it.

Overall, a decent stay, and about as good as you're going to do here, but don't expect true western-style luxury.

Our room has a good view of Mayon. There were 3 of us sharing the room & it was comfortable & enough space for us. We didn't feel overcrowded. Bathroom is modern & has all amenities, i.e. shampoo, blow dryer, soap, towels. Staff very friendly. Included was breakfast & was enough to satisfy us. Hotel is fairly new & clean.

This hotel does it all if you happen to be in Legaspi. Location is central, breakfast is great(English or Filipino), staff is there to help. Price is great for being in the Philipinnes
