The staff were amazing. They always provided me with first class service. My air conditioning quit working just after 1am. I called the front desk and maintenance was at my room in 5 minutes.

2 night Stay

Staff at check in made me feel uncomfortable, almost not welcome.
Our room on 5th floor (highest in hotel) was facing road/front of hotel super noisy with road traffic, car alarms etc, not hotel fault but beware.
House keeping need to check and replace what been used.
Otherwise room was pleasant, rest of staff friendly, Breakfast nice variety, special shout out to Joseph in the bar, thank you for making us feel welcome.

Stay at Hotel St. Ellis

Be aware only that they might give you a room with a suffocating drainage smell bathroom. Doesn't have big towels, needed to request. Guest Service was helpful when planned to stay another night and they gave me a better room. A variety of breakfast was fine, staffs were attentive, comfy place and easy access to city.

The staff at the reception and breakfast area were accommodating and helpful. The shuttle bus ride to the airport was relaxing. Hotel was walkable to malls and restaurants.

Good service, clean rooms. Free breakfast was good and the free shuttle service to the airport was a bonus. Lots of restaurants to eat and shopping malls are walkable. We had a lovely stay.

Would certainly stay again! Front desk and dining staff were excellent. Only quibble would be the remodeling going on during the stay. Was supposed to be from 8 am until 5 pm. Often it continued on into the evening, but I was in the Philippines. Island time is a real thing after all.

I had never stayed at a hotel with no toilet paper or tissue in the bathroom. It was just terrible with just two towels in the bathroom. In addition, after we checked out, we had to hang around until the room was inspected. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

You get what you pay for

The hotel has no hot water.. I’ve been here a number of times and the sheets always have some sort of smell the other time it smelled like smoke and this time is smelled like it wasn’t washed properly had a faint smell of a dirty dish rag if that makes any sense? It smelled sour? The sink filled up when u left the tap on and had a smell of sewer.. the breakfast was better than I expected tho had a decent selection of food(Filipino food). Staff were accommodating and polite.. but hey you get what you pay for. Not THAT bad. A 2-3/5 rating..

Cockroaches running around in our room , we asked to be moved but they initially refused , stating they are fully booked . My uncle has to get mad to finally moved us to another room after we insisted & shied then pictures of the cockroaches & they finally moved us to another room which also had baby cockroaches upon our arrival . Then they moved us to another room they says it’s executive. No apologies received stating they upgraded us but the third room is the same as the first room we had .. pool was not working ..the only consolation was sone staff are very respectful & pleasant.
Will not booked here again …

The hotel could use some modernization. It looks like retro 1960's. Paint is chipped or peeling. A bath mat in shower would help as the floor was slippery.

Beautiful interior, excellent service and friendly staff. The only issue is the parking. They told me to drive around back. The parking are was a small, uneven gravel are, with piles of garbage & trash. About enough room for six vehicles, but two would have to move if you were there first. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. Nice hotel, and I told them I would return, but let me know when they get better parking arrangements.

We had left a very fancy hotel in another city before coming here, and we noticed a slippage in the overall maintenance in the back areas of the hotel, but the lobby was excellent overall.
The staff made up for any shortcomings by enthusiasm and diligence. They try very hard.

Stay Away -COCKROACH!!!!, We were greeted by a cockroach in the room, front desk sent somebody to get the cockroach we trapped in a glass and that's it. We packed our bags and decided to move hotel.
As we are talking to the front desk they offer to move us to another room while 2-3 cockroaches passed around the area. It was a booking trough Expedia and all was prepaid, front desk staff looks wasted more of our time and looks like they don't know what they are doing when I demanded a refund.
It's been over a month and I'm still waiting for my money back, Expedia team is working to reach them but somehow the hotel is unreachable.
Worst hotel experience!

A taste of quiet luxury

Impressive lobby, great breakfast, helpful staff, nice pool. Cozy room with adequate lights, nice bathroom. The only negative thing I could.say are the pillow cases though were definitely clean had that peculiar smell of laundry that had not thoroughly dried. Good location, close to St. Raphael Church.

I booked 2 rooms for myself and my friends for few days. The breakfast buffet food was nice. Hotel room is clean and bathroom as well. They serve distilled water in a unique “bottle”. Hotel receptionist named Nicole was super nice, from check in to check out, she arranged my hotel-airport transfer. I went back to the hotel to get some stuff that I’ve forgotten to pack when I checked out. Thank you!

We had a great time at this hotel for 2 weeks. Very helpful and polite staff. Great ambience inside. We were comfortable in our room. However, cleanliness of the bathroom is one issue. Have to address the mosquito problem too! No hand towels, main concern from my boyfriend hahaha. Wifi is not that strong in room. 20mbps is just not enough for all. Other than that all good at St. Ellis hotel!

The staff of st ellis were first rate. Very helpful and anticipating needs. The poor condition of the premises were more from wear than neglect. If staying in the urban quarter is a priority id definitely recommend st ellis.

I will not recommend this place

The hotel is well located, walking distance to the square. The staff is friendly and helpful. However, our room was in bad shape with big rust/water stains in the closet, no wash cloths (the housekeeper said it will come the next day), the air conditioner can't be controlled, there was a big fly and a big roach came out from somewhere. The public areas are in better shape. The breakfast service was good and I enjoyed the warm milk they put out with the coffee. Too bad I can't recommend this place based on the room experience.

Clean and quite room but the pool is an eyesore, looking from my hotel window. Water is supposed to look blue from afar but It's green (looked like lumot). They really need to improve it 'coz it's one of their selling points.

Highly Recommended for the Budget

The service, quality of rooms, foods served during breakfast and location, this hotel is highly recommended if you are thinking of stopping by for a night or two at Legaspi City. The price of about 3,000 Php gives you an accommodation more than what you paid for.

If you have kids, the pool is enough to excite them during their stay.

Decent hotel - Walking distance to Embarcadero, Ayala Mall and Gaisano Mall. You can't ask for more if you stay in Legaspi. Breakfast (included) is good. Hotel provides free transfers to and from the airport.

Room Smelled of Paint

We stayed at Room 309, but moved to Room 407 last night. This was because when we came back from work yesterday, the room smelled terribly of paint. We had to stay outside and I went immediately down to the front desk to express my disgust. We found out that 2nd from 309 is being repaired or repainted. For repainting like that, they should have considered not having that room occupied by guest for safety reasons.

Despite this disappointing experience, I would like to commend their speedy response to the matter. We were transferred immediately and hotel staff assisted with our transfer.

Another thing that they will have to look into is the internet connection in the 4th floor. It was intermittent.

No thrills hotel.

The Hotel is an old hotel. showed a lot of wear. The Bath was very small and worn down . The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean . Easy access to several malls and city center . Walls are thin you can hear inside and outside . Very small elevator . Complimentary Breakfast was good . not great .
