my stay was comfortable. hotel staff are very good especially the check in girl called Sindy. She was very helpful.
My main recommendation is that overall condition of the hotel is getting old and renovation is necessary.

The staff are very helpful and everyone very friendly. Especially Cindy on reception desk and the porter at the front. Always happy to assist and made stay very pleasurable indeed. Buffet breakfast is wide choice for all tastes and consistently well prepared and delicious. Will be staying again.

Desperately needs a refurb. Used to stay here regularly and was looking forward to going back. Very surprised Mariott Bonvoy allowed this hotel to get so run down. Some staff are trying to still give great service but generally they are not interested.

Great business stay in Dongguan

I've stayed in this hotel many times for business over the years. The design and the interiors are perhaps a bit outdated already, but it's a very comfortable stay with great service, good food, spacious room and decent sport facilities. Also conveniently just a short walk away from the busy shopping streets.

The Sheraton is a great choice if you are visiting the Dongguan area in China. It has multiple restaurants to choose from my favorite is the Italian one. The staff is great, very accommodating for getting things like transportation or special requests.

Incorrect Information in Hotels.com

I booked with Hotels.com for a room with 2 double beds + Sofa Bed + Breakfast for 3 people. However when I checked in and I was told that this room type next existed, the information in Hotels.com is not correct, and finally I have no choice but pay extra charge for extra bed and 1 more breakfast. I was really disappointed with the hotel booking this time, would Hotels.com please review and update the room type correctly to avoid other customer to suffer the same.

The room seems not quite to the specification to the star rating. Shower was very weak, minibar fridge is just at room temperature, room size seem not quite as large as what is advertised.

I have been staying at this hotel every few months for 10 years. In CHina this is a great hotel experience. Two things I look forward to here are a comfortable bed and high quality food. 5 stars on both of those. The breakfast is consistent and excellent. They have a real Italian chef running the kitchen and he makes sure that the food quality is the highest. He brings Italian food integrity with him to the Sheraton. I stay here to start my business trip every time (after the long flight from North America) because a stress free couple of nights and mornings is just what I need to regain my energy. From here I travel to other cities in South China and stay in always the best hotels, this Sheraton has been my favorite and has earned my loyalty!

I have stayed at this hotel for many years, multiple times a year, and I've never had too many complaints. This time I was so grossed out my the lack of cleanliness in my room, I will never go back. (ie. hair on the shower walls that was not mine, & what I hope was just dried lotion on the marble wall in the bathroom) also there was a battery missing from the back of the remote which I called about so I could use it, and no welcome fruit like previous visits. I didn't even attempt the food situation because they have scaled back so much.

Would not honor my Orbitz reservation.

The hotel would not honor my orbitz reservation even with a print out and my phone showing the email from orbitz. They refused to contact Orbitz to resolve the problem. I ended up going accross the street and getting a room at the HJ International. Fun stuff!

Deep in the heart of Dongguan

The Sheraton DG is a good business hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable although the WiFi in my room was not exceptional. The Italian restaurant in the hotel is pricey for China standards but good. The morning buffet was in a very nice setting and was a refreshing start to my day. The hotel staff was excellent in providing options when I needed to reserve transportation.

I have been staying at the Sheraton DG for over 10 years. This hotel needs a serious renovation. Everything is old and dingy. The foot massage that used to be in the hotel is gone. Luigi's is closed for lunch. The lobby is dated and the rug is gross. The flower arrangement in the lobby used to be AMAZING, now is measly. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful but a reno is way overdue!

Clean, comfortable, state of the art hotel

I stayed in a deluxe room for six nights. Room includes free internet access, in-room safe, cool air conditioning (necessary as it was warm to hot outside), generous wardrobe, iron and board plus satellite TV and remote. The
remote was touch sensitve in that you had to point it directly at the receiver unit on the TV or it won't respond.

The shower cubicle was large and luxurious. You could fit two people in and still have some space remaining!
During the day there was quite a bit of road noise coming from motorists using the main highway directly in front of the
hotel. As the road was under road works, one would think this may reduce once the works were completed. Luckily the
noise subsided during the evening hours and did not affect quality of sleep.

Complete Hotel in Dongguan

Good Hotel with nice japanese resto , good massage and nice luxurious KTV .
The only bad thing in the hotel is the bed is very hard uncomfortable for sheraton spg standart , also the pillow isnt comfortable .

I've stayed at this hotel regularly over the past year. The staff has continuously improved and there is low turnover. The quality of the service continues to improve. Restaurants provide diverse choices. Hojie Town is a bit off the main highway, a little confusing to some taxi drivers.

Great hotel for a stay in Dongguan area

I typically travel to China twice a year and stay in the Houjie Town Dongguan area. The Sheraton is definitely the best in the area for a Western traveller who doesn't speak any Chinese. The Sheraton train many staff at this hotel from around the world, meaning they have many English speaking staff on hand. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and each time the hotel has met my expectation. Clean rooms, great staff and good food in the restaurants. The area of the hotel is booming and has many shops and amenities within a few block radius. Definitely recommend a stay here if you are in the area. It is 45 minutes from both Guangzhou and Shenzhen so you are right in the middle of the epicentre of Guangdong's business hub.

Stayed here for Canton Fair as rate was better then what you can find for comparable hotel in Guangzhou. About an hour bus ride to fair.
Great hotel but location is not great, no good restaurants within walking distance. If you are adventurous you can cross the road in front of hotel via an overpass and walk along the main street and there are a few restaurants but be warned once you leave the hotel you will find very few that can speak English it's not like Shanghai or Hong Kong.
Restaurants in hotel where very good but a little pricy breakfast buffet was $23.00 and dinner buffet was $50.00.
Hotel staff where excellent.

Shopping across the street. Irene's Bar down the alley behind the hotel that caters to expats and travelers. Say hi to Marcus and Irene. The Japanese retaurant is surprisingly good and, of course, the included breakfast is superb. It's the only place I stay in DG.

Very professional and clean. I have stayed here several times and had very good expeiences
.I recommend staying on the executive top floors if possible for the breakfasts and evening complimentary food and drink/ business center.
Shopping mall across the street is really nice to get out and about with the locals in the evenings and afternoons.
I have been traveling to China for 7 years now. This is a nice hotel.
