Hotel was great apart from one big flaw in our room. We had a double bed but it was flush against 3 walls giving access by one sude only. This is not great if you need the loo during the night and you dont want to climb over your partner.

Really good, convenient location and decent stay. Everything you need for a nights stopover. Check in/out and all the climate controls, room lighting being accessible via your phone is handy a neat touch, no need to check in or out at reception if need be. Bathroom area is a wet room effectively so be aware of that. Lifts to room can be a little frustrating, despite 3 of them, but multiple people requesting different floors does put the system into overload - seems to prioritise ‘lift going down’ so just be prepared to be in a lift a little longer than intended because of this. Other than that, location is great for south terminal security as well as enough eateries/shops, the north terminal shuttle & trains are only a short walk away - clearly signposted - if you need to go those ways.

Very convenient and clean. However lighting dim, especially in the bathroom where bright light is needed. Also not keen on having to move everything out of the way for the wetroom which also becomes slippery when wet. Had trouble adjusting temperature, either too cold or too hot. Having said that it is spotless, the bed is comfortable, towels generous, and the closeness to the South Terminal wonderful for travellers.

Stayed in room 600, a room with a window. The room was quiet and I had a good night’s sleep before an early flight from Gatwick south terminal where BLOC is located. So the location is very convenient as it is also very near the train station. There are coffee machine rooms on the 5th and 7th floors to make up for the lack of tea/coffee/kettle within my type of room. Shower/wet room was clean and the shower was good. The bed was comfortable for me. It took a bit of time getting the room ventilation to a comfortable level for me personally. I used the BLOC in-house web app for this rather than the bedside control. It is convenient to use for lights, room ventilation and window blind but can be a bit slow to respond. The room WiFi worked well. For a one night stop over it was perfect.

Our flight from Canada was delayed to the point where we arrived about half an hour before check out. We had time for a 3 hour layover before our next flight and the staff made sure we were able to sleep the whole time by providing a late checkout. We truly appreciated it!

Room was clean but sparse, and quite compact with one extended length window. Bed was very comfortable and coffee/tea/hot cocoa, bottled water and cookies were the amenities. Bathroom was wet-bath style but worked ok. Touch-pad light, heating/cooling, and blind controls worked fine and if you have smartphone, check-in, digital entry key, and check-out all worked fine, thought elevators were sometimes picky with the smartphone digital key to allow access to floors that rooms were on. Would stay again for overnight, but probably not more than one night.

On presentation of our card key discounts were available at some of the eateries near the hotel. Tea and coffee machines were available at no extra charge. The shower was good but left a wet floor for later use of the wash basin and toilet. The hotel is convenient for the departure place, but not sure we will use it again.

This hotel is perfectly located if travelling from Gatwick- in fact it is actually in the South Terminal - I was flying from the North Terminal but the transfer took less than 10 mins .Room was good value and perfectly adequate for the competitive cost. The photos online are misleading they are taken from impossible positions to disguise the fact that the “room” is little more than a pod they also give the impression of windows; yes there is a footnote saying the room is without a window but it is easily missed.
