The room we were in had problems with the lock not locking correctly. The staff were always quick to try to help, but it wasn't ideal that we were never 100% certain our valuables were safe. (I hope this was just an isolated issue that affected only our room and that it has since been repaired.) The hotel itself was nice, and the staff were friendly. The location is fairly central, with the train station just a short walk away.

I was surprised that on check in I was informed they had down graded me from the room i'd booked, but no refund of the difference, only an offer of 1 beer.
The room itself was ok but very noisy due to the construction site right outside the window.

As explained already, this hotel is in a very bad neighborhood. You feel obliged to pay $20 per night house parking even though there are plenty of space on the street, just does not look very safe

Dinner was good as well as the breakfast. Many options to choose from. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. There was no a/c but the hotel had a fan you could use. The weather really didnt call for it. I would say if you stay on the back side where we were,(2nd floor), and open your balcony door for freah air there is noise from the local train during the day and into the evening.

Worth checking out.

I had a great deal on a superior room. Well worth it for the proper desk and sofa. Huge bed too! Shower very warm and pleasant. It’s not in the best area of Drammen, but the property itself is great. Steady broadband. Staff very friendly and well-versed in English. Food - excellent, in a great dining area (see picture). The breakfast has everything you could want.... even meatballs! Don’t forget that a light evening meal is free too! I have stayed many times elsewhere in Drammen, but this will be my first choice now.

When meeting up with friends in town and staying overnight, Hotel Tollboden is a very convenient place to stay. The area is pleasant and the rooms are nice and comfortable. Drammen has been going through a major refurbishment in recent years, and this side of the river is being upgraded likewise, so there is quite a lot of building work going on, but only during the day time.
I stayed at the Clarion, Drammen, recently on a business trip & I would give this hotel a good rating for the following reasons:
- The friendly approachable Hotel Reception staff who organised a lunch pack for my journey (ask for a Niste Pakke) with the bread and toppings of my choice and who also printed out my Boarding passes.
- The excellent buffet breakfast and buffet dinner choices
- The room was equipped with a fridge (where I could safely store some Norwegian food goodies), nice bathroom and overlooked the hotels garden courtyard.
- The pleasant lounge areas with access to Tea, Coffee & Water throughout the day.
Overall I would highly recommend this pleasant Hotel.

The place to stay in Dramman

Clarion Collection in Drammen was an absolute winner! Best value for our money, and the price was very reasonable. All staff couldn't do enough for you (Sekinde Maria and Thomas were the best). They were cheerful, helpful, friendly, concerned. The room was very good (Superior rooms available for an upgrade). Plenty of common areas (indoors and outdoors) available, to talk, read, have a drink, meet up with people, smoke. Very sociable atmosphere, like a boutique hotel. Lovely central garden court. Gym with machines and a sauna as well. Even table tennis, and a room for children's activities. Breakfast and dinner and waffles in the afternoon and Wi-Fi included in the price. 12-minute walk from the train station. We left at 4am for a train, and they arranged for a box breakfast for us! Maps and information about Drammen available. Only an hour from Oslo Airport, or 30 minutes from Oslo Center via express train. We will definitely stay here again.

Ina greeted us with a smile. She and all the other staff were wonderful. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The standard room was large. But there was no ac in the older part. There was a desk, chair, cabinet w/fridge, 2 chairs w/pillows & table in the room. The shower was large with good water pressure. There was a convenient shelf in the bathroom. We were happy with the wifi that the hotel had and able to access the internet with our US smart phones. It was an open wifi.

I stayed here for two nights for work and loved the atmosphere. The food was good the room was comfortable. It was a short walk from the train station which was convenient and I could also walk to town. I'd recommend staying here.

chose this hotel due to the parking fees (or lack there of) but when we arrived they had changed the rules and added parking fees to the stay. When i pointed ths out to them they became rude and I was informed this was new and nothing they could do about it. Asked for management and it was sorted.

Hotel is in township out of Oslo by 35 minutes on the train. Don't get confused with hotels of the same name on town. However this hotel was very friendly. Buffet dinner/supper was complimentary and good. Breakfast great. Very nice place to stay if you don't need to be downtown.

Nice hotel in Drammen

This hotel is certainly a good representation of Norway. Though it is not exactly close to the train station (like some other hotels), we enjoyed our stay as it is very peaceful & quiet all the time. We also enjoyed the walk from all the activities (main areas) back to the hotel. The setting is very quaint with its wooden structures. The breakfast and evening meals were good enough for us and we thought the variety was all right. We were glad we chose this hotel during our stay in Drammen. Will certainly stay here again if we visit Drammen in future!

Det er en veldig sterk lukt i hele hotellet, som en sterk manneparfyme eller duft’friskner’ av noe slag.
Supert med gratis middag, men på mine 3 opphold så har jeg endt opp med at den ikke er særlig god. Foodora funker fint, men det er jo litt synd å måtte bestille mat.

Hotellet luktet litt frityr da jeg kom. Og rommet manglet håndklær. Men det gjør ingenting, resepsjonistenes vennlighet og serviceinnstilling gjorde hele oppholdet. Spesielt nattevakten var eksemplarisk dyktig og profesjonell. Et godt eksempel på et hotell der det er staben som gjør oppholdet minneverdig. Kan anbefales og etter min mening den beste hotellopplevelsen i Drammen.

Trevligt och promenadavstånd till centrum.

Det var ett fräscht hotell med glad och trevlig personal.
Fick en känsla av att det var ett äldre hotell som blivit renoverat de senaste åren.
Middagsbufféen som ingick var god med flera tillbehör. Frukostbuffén var även den mycket god!
Tyvärr pågick det vägarbeten utanför vårt fönster hela natten vilket var mindre kul. När vi påtalade detta för personalen så kände de till detta vilket vi hade uppskattat att vi fått information om, hade isf bytt rum då hotellet inte var fullbokat.

En super dejligt hotel

Et super godt hotel. Hotellet vinder ikke ved sit udseende ude fra, men når man først kommer ind på hotellet er der flotte omgivelser med hyggelige steder hvor man kan slappe af. En dejlig gårdhave er der også. Også det mest imponerende, var et fantastisk fitness rum, vi har været på mange mange hotellet men dette hotel har de flotteste og bedste motionsmaskine, virkelig lækker kvalitet om omgivelser. Morgenmaden, fiks og kaffe og aftensmaden var helt perfekt. Alle ansatte var venlige og virkede glade for deres arbejde.

Fredag i juni

Godt hotell og opphold, veldig hyggelig betjening.Men rommet vendte mot en indre plass i hotellet og på denne fredag kveld ble det gjort renhold ? med kompressor bruk, eller bygging til kl23 om kvelden. Med lite barn på rommet ble det vanskelig å få til søvn. Prøvde å rope til han som holdt på men uten hell. Uansett burde hotell prøve å unngå dette en fredag i juni.........

Dejligt hotel med gode værelser

Stort værelse med et dejligt, nyrenoveret badeværelse. Overraskende god aftensmad (tacos med masser af tilbehør og salat). God, stor morgenbuffet. Ligger i gåafstand til masse restauranter og \"centrum\". Dog er Drammen umiddelbart en noget rodet og slidt by - i hvert fald i området omkring hotellet.

Fint hotell og koselig i lobbyen. Veldig bra med middag, fika og frokost ink I prisen. Bra utvalg av drikke både alkoholfritt og alkohol i baren. Er tilrettelagt for alle. Veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme personal. Men virket som lite system i parkeringskjelleren. Bare bestilte parkering men var nesten fult fikk smuget meg inn en stand men virket ikke som dem hadde system på det. Så tørte ikke og flytte bilen for hvis jeg tok ut bilen og kom tilbake på kvelden så var det sikkert opptatt.

Er svært ofte på hotell i Drammen. Dette var faktisk første gang på dette hotellet, men fremover blir jeg å bruke dette fast. Jeg reiste med hund. Stort og fint rom. Selv om det var over 30 grader i Drammen, så kunne jeg få det kjølig og behagelig på rommet. God mat (til og med kveldsmat/middag inkludert) og den mest hyggelige og serviceinnstilte betjeningen jeg har opplevd. Har allerede bestilt nytt opphold 😊

Dette hotel er ved at være godt slidt.
Bruseren kunne godt trænge til at blive skrubbet i fugerne og måske en ny lampe i loftet når den gamle er ved at falde ned.
Morgenmaden findes også bedre en gammel frugt og tør skæreost med noget kedeligt bakeoff brød.
Personalet i receptionen er meget flinke og hjælpsomme.
