The hotel is centrally located near shops and restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the free post (cruise) shuttle bus. The room was immaculate with a full bathroom tea kettle and espresso machine. The host meets and even helped carry a small bag, sorry no elevator. The room included a few snacks tea bags cream, sugar and substitute as well as a few espresso pods. The Tv has English and Italian channels and WiFi is included. Perfect little place by the beach and port.

Very misleading description on Expedia! Stated second level, when actually third floor with no elevator. Big empty bedroom with very high ceilings, made climbing stairs more like five floors. With no on site staff, carrying luggage exhausting! Nice management staff, but would never stay again or refer to anyone

Room very warm. A/C could be better. Hallway hot/humid. Bathroom more hot and humid with an odor. Could use better ventilation. Was able to use bathroom skeleton key to open bedroom door. Bedrooms also used skeleton style keys. I presume that the all bathroom skeleton keys would have been able to unlock the other adjacent rooms in the hallway. However, host contactable and very accommodating.

The room is spacious and clean. The assigned washroom is located outside of the room not too far from our room. Major concern for seniors as there is no elevator. We had to walk 4 flights of stairs to get to our room. Anna the structure helper had to help us to carry the big luggage up. We’re supposed to get free transport to the cruise ship terminal at 10am. As I write we’re still waiting in our room for the free pick up. The time now is 10:20am. This morning’s structure helper is Nico. She asked us to stay in our room as she doesn’t really know what time the driver will come. A bit frustrated!

Loved our stay here. Views from our windows were beautiful. Location was great!!! There were four of us, and we stayed in the double bedroom. We thought they would be within the same hotel room, but they were actually separated, even though they were next to each other. This was just a little awkward and unexpected. Room was bright and big, bath was clean and private but just down the hall. Being on the third floor and no lift was a challenge with 48lb suit cases. The front door was not inviting as was the hall but once you make it to the 3rd floor it was fine. The host was friendly and helpful.

The set up was a bit odd and the add was quite misleading. The quad suite has one queen and two singles (one of them a cot) all in one big room and a small table and chairs. I was a bit surprised when shown our bathroom and it was in a public corridor along with 2 others.

Location was good, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Did not realize the bathroom was down the hall (that was in the small print of the description and didn’t even consider that the room did not have an en-suite bathroom or at least a sink. The bathroom was clean but smelled of mold. The bidet was not anchored to the floor and my husband almost fell off. The keys and locks need to be updated. If there was fire or other safety issue, we would not be able to get out quickly. Plus having to unlock our door, then unlock the bathroom door in the middle of the night and repeat to get back to the room was frustrating. The person who greeted us and helped with luggage was delightful and our driver to the cruise ship was also great. But I would not book this place again.

Nice hotel close to the port. The rooms were spacious with a nice view of the city street. If you have mobility issues and carry lots of luggage, this is not an ideal hotel as there are no elevators. Our room was on the fourth floor. No bathroom in your room but you will have your own bathroom down the hall. Breakfast was amazing and a friendly staff. The free shuttle to the cruise port was 7 minutes away at Largo della Pace, 00053 Civitavecchia RM, Italy.

Let us check in a bit early and was there in the AM for breakfast! The place seemed newly renovated so everything was clean and great. One thing to note is that the rooms are on the 2nd floor and there are no elevators. They have a decent continental breakfast. Pastries, cold cuts, cereals, etc.

I payed $790 $30 taxes for deluxe 1 bedroom with kitchen on September 2024. The owner gave me tiny room #3, without closet and no space to walk in room. When we put 2 our luggages, we block the bed and not able turn around. It was old guess house, not hotel, No kitchen in rom. It was one kitchen without microwave for 4 rooms. Building has very old elevator and you have to bring your staff one level up to the elevator. Owner of this guess house doesn't provide any shuttle to the airpot. You have to walk approximately 1 km with all your luggages to get city shuttle. It was advertising that room has city view. Through our window we saw old house in poor condition and ongoing construction project. It was total scam of. Expedia has to reconsider this property and provide correct advertisement. I was really regret to pay $810 for this room for 3 nights and will not recommend anybody to rent any room on this property room.

We arranged a transfer through the property and due to us not receiving our luggage (we communicated immediately with the property and driver), after being told we'd only pay $150 euro, which we agreed to, once we arrived at the property, they tried telling us we needed to pay nearly $300 euro. We argued for at least an hour, with the owner of the driving company stating he talked to my husband and that my husband agreed to pay that price, which is an out right lie as our phones didn't work and we didn't speak to anyone.
Property staff did her best to help us but it was an unpleasant experience and in the end, lots of arguing etc. and we settled for paying $200 euro, which is wrong. The property employee told us the next morning that she and the owner split the difference.
As noted, you have to carry your luggage up stairs. Bathrooms are not located in your room, they're down the hall with other bathrooms. The facility is very basic and the door trim was hanging down above our door. During our stay, we opened the door and it came down. We immediately advised staff and her response was \"what happened!?\" I showed her it was hanging down, the same as on other doors.
It's fine for what it was but there are most certainly better options.
Property staff did her best to help us but it was an unpleasant experience and in the end, lots of arguing etc. and we settled for paying $200 euro, which is wrong. The property employee told us the next morning that she and the owner split the difference.
As noted, you have to carry your luggage up stairs. Bathrooms are not located in your room, they're down the hall with other bathrooms. The facility is very basic and the door trim was hanging down above our door. During our stay, we opened the door and it came down. We immediately advised staff and her response was \"what happened!?\" I showed her it was hanging down, the same as on other doors.
It's fine for what it was but there are most certainly better options.

The managment arranged transport from the airport for 10 euros less than the other services we found online, clean van, nice driver(his name was Christian). On arrival the manager moved us to a sister property so we could have an elevator. Our room was quite, A/C worked great and lots of snakes for beakfast. Located 2 blocks from the train station, 100 meters from a nice supermarket. We would stay again pre or post cruise.

Port View Guest house is extremely convenient for anyone embarking on a cruise. Cherry was amazing. She arranged for transportation from the airport to the guest house and offered to arrange transportation to the port as well. I decided to walk instead. It is an easy walk however it will depend on where the ship docks. The facility is a little scary looking from the outside, but clean, quiet and safe on the inside. Beware! It is on the 4th floor! There are NO elevators! It was quite an ordeal to carry luggage up all four flights. However, for the price and the convenience it is well worth the stay. Oh…breakfast the next morning was AMAZING!

There is NO elevator and is 4 flights up and the bathroom isn’t inside the room itself. It’s more like an air bnb. I read many reviews before coming across Port View Guest House. After reading the many outstanding reviews associated with this B&B I decided to book our 2 night stay. I have to say it was even better than I had hoped. Cherry met us as soon as we arrived and immediately I felt welcomed and comfortable. We booked transportation through her when we booked out stay which made getting from Rome to the B&B seamless.
The room we stayed in was an ensuite (bathroom in the room). The room was spacious and bright. The A/C worked perfectly. I found our particular room to be mostly quiet although at times I could hear traffic outside it did not bother me. As many have stated there is no elevator and you have to walk up four flights of stairs with your luggage. This was not that incredibly difficult but it could be for some. Cherry did help us and I witnessed her help many other guests during our stay. Breakfast which is prepared by Cherry was always delicious! Just enough to get our day started. Cherry greeted us each morning with a warm smile and fresh coffee. For us there was plenty to explore in town and plenty of places to eat. We only encountered one small issue during our stay and that was the wifi wasn't working. Cherry tried to resolve the issue but unfortunately she had to place a service call. This was a VERY minor inconvenience to us but Cherry was every apologetic and said the owner wanted to offer us free transportation to the port which I thought was so nice.

My Pre-cruise Stay
This is an older building that relies on a series of skeleton key locks, which take a little getting used to. Everything works out, although there is no elevator so you do have to walk up flights of stairs. The people who run the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and modernized and its pretty quiet so I slept well. I would stay there again and its very convenient to the port and train station.

It is convenient to the cruise ship port. It is a serviceable B&B, not fancy or luxurious, but works if you need to stay overnight before a cruise.

Incredible stay Gold stars all the way. Sherri out host was so so helpful. She kept us updated, booked our airport transfers from the airport and back and booked a ride with the also wonderful owner Anna directly from the property direct to our cruise ship. The included breakfast was delicious and offered alot of choices. The room has an incredible view of the harbour and ocean, the beds were comfy and the air conditioning kept us very comfortable. Easy walking to shops and nearby restaurants.Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and will recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. Having Sherri speak English really helped us

We stayed at Port View prior to boarding our cruise in May. It was so lovely. The owner and property manager were so gracious and friendly. Our room was on the 4th floor walk up and overlooked a fun city area that had shopping and food. We were able to walk to dinner and around the area. It is just down the street from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. The church was beautiful. We had a delicious homemade brunch! I highly recommend Port View Guest House.

The room is dark and the outside noises does not allow for a peaceful sleep at all. There is no elevator so you have to take you luggage to 4th floor. Also the bathroom and rooms are all in one hallway and you can see other guests and hear them. The bathroom is in the hallway so other guests can see you. It is very awkward. The service is very bad. The host watches over everything you do. I would never stay there again or recommend it. It was one of the worst experiences of my life

Be aware this room is not in a hotel. A very nice woman met us in the street and took us to our room in an apartment style building. Room was great, breakfast consisted of packaged items, such as cookies, cereal, bread, jelly, and provided with an espresso machine. No restaurant involved.
Contact with hotel operators was via text. There is no central office. Rooms are located in 2 separate buildings. Our building had an elevator, the other does not.
Knowing all this, we would most likely have gone to a regular hotel, BUT I am glad we didn’t. Everyone was kind and considerate, all our problems were solved via text, room was clean and new, and close to the waterfront. It is a new aspect of running a bed and breakfast
