room was very clean and spacious especially washroom was very clean. Also, i loved their breakfast but fried egg was a bit salty. Other than that, it was very delicious and servers front desk agent were very friendly. Thank you.

Welcome Back

Second time in Varres Hotel. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They welcomed me back like I was family which is heartwarming.
There are still Covid conditions, but overall they are coping very well.
The guys on the front desk are brilliant. The breakfast too.
Thank you all for looking after me.

Lovely room in a beautiful location.

Lovely hotel in beautiful grounds with olive orchard & lemon trees. Rooms were clean & nice facilities like pool & pool bar. Breakfast was amazing - so much choice. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Hidden gem

Varres is close to (walking distance) to Zakynthos Town and Tslivi. When I stayed it was quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the breakfast staff.
The room was very comfortable with good air conditioning and lovely views over Varres. The pool was immaculate and the pool bar served good food and drinks.
All in all I can’t fault it despite difficult circumstances. I would recommend Hotel Varres and believe I will return.

A little hidden gem

Lovely hotel between Zante and Tsilivi. I’m quite active so walked to Tsilivi in about half an hour and Zante town in Twenty minutes. Rooms clean but a little basic but doesn’t detract from the ambience of the place. Staff pleasant, and helpful and breakfast tends to be the same everyday but more than enough for anybody. A great hotel at a great price in beautiful surroundings, will definitely book again .

Shame about location

It was a nice hotel which was clean and the staff helpful. The biggest issue for me was location as I had forgetten / left my driving license at home. It was so far out of the way of anything lively if you did not have a car. Very little public transport at this time of year, and too far to walk anywhere in the nice weather, So it cost me a fortune in taxis. I also felt like the only English person there so felt quite lonely at times whereas I think it would have been different in a livelier area. I would think about staying there again if I could hire a car though and be with company.

Lovely hotel in the quiet hills about 1 mile out from the town centre. Perfect for a quiet start to a holiday, and especially if you have a car or bike. If not, taxi service is good. I liked it so much i might come back on my last night of trip.

Lovely property - but need transport

While this property was lovely, and clean,it advertised a childrens club and restaurant.
Both of which were closed on my arrival. I mentioned this to reception, who explained due to it being low season the resturant would open in the the evening only, but he would be happy to order a take out!
I choose this property based on there being a childrens club also for my 8 year old son. Thius was not open.
As it was low season there was not a lot open, other than in the main town, So having no childrens club was a big disappointment.
It should be clearly advertised when the childrens club would be open. The childrens club opened the day of our departure so my son was not able to even enjoy one day at the childrens club as we left at 10am that same moring, very disapointing.
This location is very lovely but no local amenties, you need transport.

Stayed for five nights right at the end of the season. Had a wonderful stay, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. Food a little basic but plentiful with unlimmited amounts at breakfast, filled us up for the whole day.
Visited the bar most nights where we were looked after very well,given free bar snacks and treats we didn't expect and very generous measures of drink at very cheap rates
Hotel a little shabby in places and the pool freezing but easily overlooked having too much fun!

Bad accommodation with smelly bathroom

The common area of the hotel, like reception, pool and restaurant are very nice and they have a very friendly staff. However, the room itself was really bad. The bathroom had a horrible smell, like sewage smell all the time. We asked for a double bed as we are a couple and they gave us a 3 twin bed. I didn't understand why as the hotel wasn't full. They had many available rooms out there. Although the staff was friendly and the hotel well located I would not stay there again because of the accommodation, unfortunately.

Very pleasant stay

Varres is located in a beautiful location in amongst an olive grove....pleasant outlook and very quiet. It has great facilities....a big pool, dinning area and games room. The one minus is that's located outside the main town.....whilst you can walk it, it's on a busy road and a footpath is not always there. Breakfast was reasonable and the staff were very helpful. All in all it's great value for money and I would highly recommend.

Nice quite hotel

A very nice hotel in a quite area of the island. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and corridors. High variety of the breakfast buffet. AC in the rooms, most of the rooms has a small terrace where you can enjoy a drink in the evening.
What I missed is more plug in the room, as we had to charge our phones, cameras etc. Also maybe a box of tissue could be useful in the rooms.

After all I would recommend the hotel for families or people who wants a quite pleasant stay.

Hotel near quiet area

I really liked the room here but what I didnt like was that the shower would clog up and also it was too small. I also didnt like how the breakfast had no variety its basically bread with eggs and little sausage wedges, thats about it. I think they should hire more staff because it took them long to reload the breakfast area because the same lady who cooks the breakfast she is also the room service so yeah its pretty short on staff. The view was nice and also the bed comfort but I encountered many little insects under the beds and on the doors such as spiders and nats. I give a 3 out of 5 I think the only thing I liked about it was that its close to the main square and that the heater worked

The hotel is located not far from Zakynthos town so it's convenient to go there in the evening for a nice dinner. The breakfast is ok and also a not so bad wifi. The bar at the pool had some good food as well. Would stay again.

Wir waren vom 07.07.2025 - 12.07.2025 im Hotel zu Gast.
Die Lage des Hotel Varres ist idyllisch gelegen umringt von viel Grün und Natur.
Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und wurde täglich von freundlichem Personal gereinigt.
Das Frühstücksangebot war reichhaltig und von allem etwas dabei. Von Aufschnitt, Rührei, Speck, Brot, Toast, bis zu Gemüse und Obst.

Der Pool war sauber und angenehm zu benutzen. Man konnte tagsüber bis spät in den Abend hinein am Pool Speisen bestellen und Getränke ordern. Das Essen reicht von Pizza, Burgern bis hin zu Gyros, Feta und Nudelgerichten. Alles war äußerst lecker und die Portionen waren recht groß.

Vor allem möchte ich mich beim gesamten Personal bedanken. Alle waren ausnahmslos freundlich und kompetent nahezu liebevoll zu uns und sämtlichen Gästen. Vielen lieben Dank

Schönes, sauberes Hotel mit extrem unfreundlichen und respektlosem Personal am Kiosk am Pool. Dort fand auch das Mittag- und Abendessen statt, das wir gebucht hatten. Der Ober hat uns ewig warten lassen, wir konnten nie zur gewünschten Zeit einen Tisch reservieren, obwohl es möglich gewesen wäre. Wie kann man jemanden, der keine Touristen (außer Griechen) mag in einem Hotel beschäftigen? Ein Grund garantiert nicht wieder zu kommen. Er war nicht nur zu uns, sondern auch bei anderen Gästen frech und herablassend!

O hotel na verdade é simples mas tem tudo o que você precisa. Café e piscina muito boas, possui elevador, estacionamento, atendimento excelente com dicas sobre passeios, informações importantes. Cama e chuveiro bons, minha única queixa é que o chuveiro é forte mas molha bastante o banheiro.

Struttura immersa nella natura senza rinunciare alle comodità della città di Zante che dista a soli 8 minuti di auto(che consiglio per godersi tutta l'isola). Qui non troverete caos come nella zona di Laganas, quindi ottimo per chi vuole rilassarsi a 360\"grazie anche al personale gentilissimo.
Unica pecca il nostro bagno, molto piccolo.... Con acqua che usciva dalla doccia..... E senza bidet..., ma per il resto è stata un ottima esperienza.

Hotel molto carino immerso nel verde a 10/15 min circa di macchina del centro di Zante, quindi perfetto per chi cerca un po’ tranquillità. Personale molto cortese, facilità di parcheggio all’interno della struttura. Colazione non troppo assortita soprattutto se si preferisce il dolce.

ホテルはとてもきれいで、スタッフの対応も良かったです。部屋のクーラーが壊れていて使えませんでした。窓を開ければ涼しかったのですが、網戸がなく蚊が入ってくるので、そのあたりが少し残念でした。朝食のギリシャヨーグルトは、とてもおいしかったです。

Situato in una meravigliosa e tranquilla zona di campagna in mezzo agli ulivi, alle conifere e alle viti; personale di servizio impeccabile; Ottima la pulizia; ottima e varia la colazione; un po' scarsa la qualità dei cibi se pranzate a bordo piscina; eccellente e rilassante come poche la zona piscina. Qualche pecca in camera: una sola e scomoda presa di corrente libera: per ricaricare i nostri cellulare e lettori mp3 dovevamo staccare pe spine delle abat jour, le porte del bagno e della stanza si chiudevano male perchè deformate dall'umidità; i tubi della doccia anneriti e ossidati sarebbero da cambiare. Infine il letto è un po' stretto: se siete una coppia \"corpulenta\" avrete difficoltà. Nel complesso lo consiglio senz'altro.

Sono stato 8 giorni con la mia famiglia ad Agosto 2019. Camere molto ampie e pulite, la posizione è tranquilla e ottimale per spostarsi verso le spiagge e a zante se si possiede un auto. Nel complesso la struttura è buona. Nel mio caso non sono stato contento della mia camera, in particolare del bagno. Trovo che la doccia con la tenda sia non accettabile. Oltretutto al centro del bagno c’era uno scarico per l’acqua che emanava cattivi odori e l'uscita dell’acqua fredda era con pochissima pressione. In camera non c’era nessun cassetto per posizionare gli indumenti e ho dovuto lasciarli in valigia una settimana.

Hôtel désuet / chambre réservée non disponible !

Je ne recommande pas l'hôtel Varres:
- Ayant 2 enfants en bas âge (dont 1 bébé), nous avions réservé une suite junior. On nous annonce en arrivant que cette chambre n'est plus disponible et on nous propose uniquement 2 chambres standards séparées, non communicantes. Pas jouable avec des bébés / enfants qui se retrouvent alors livrés à eux mêmes et peuvent s'évader de la chambre... De longues discussions ont été nécessaires pour être relogés, le lendemain, dans une autre chambre. Aucun sens du service client.
- La moitié de l'hôtel est complètement désuet : les chambres situées dans le bâtiment au dessus de la réception n'ont pas été rénovée de longue date, contrairement à celles situées dans le bâtiment en bord de piscine.
- Wifi ne fonctionne pas
- La demi-pension n'est pas intéressante car 1 seul menu imposé et qui n'est pas bon.
- Même avec cela, on ne nous a pas servi le premier soir ce qui était prévu au menu (\"sorry, no fish today!\")
- Problème notoire d'insonorisation des chambres (tout résonne dans le couloir, les portes claquent, etc.)
- 2 climatisations présentes dans la suite (1 par espace de nuit) mais on ne peut avoir qu'une seule télécommande ! Donc pas possible de changer en cours de nuit la température dans une des 2 pièces indépendamment.
Quelques points positifs cependant :
- La femme qui sert le diner en terrasse de piscine est très gentille et conciliante
- La salle de petit déjeuner qui donne sur les oliviers est très agréable

Da bei meiner Ankunft diverse Gruppen dort waren, bekam ich ein ganz kleines und lärmiges Zimmer. Sobald diese Gruppen weg waren erhielt ich ein tolles Zimmer mit super Ausblick. Was mir als Tierfreundin zusagt, die 7 Katzen auf dem Grundstück sehen gepflegt aus. Sie sind zwar super mager, bekommen von den Gästen und von der Küche Futter. Der Besitzer des Hotels wohnt auf dem Grundstück und schaue zu den Katzen. Sagten verschiedene Angestellten.

OTTIMO RAPPORTO QUALITÀ /PREZZO

Hotel immerso in un bel uliveto a un paio di km da Zante città e 3 km da Tsilivi. Ben gestito con personale gentile , capiscono un pò anche la lingua italiana. Struttura moderna, noi avevamo la camera vista piscina : spaziosa , gran bel bagno con doccia , materasso doppio grandissimo e morbidissimo. Grande pulizia con cambio giornaliero degli asciugamani e ogni 3 gg delle lenzuola. Ampio balcone. Tv lcd, cassaforte, asciugacapelli e dispenser di bagnoschiuma nella doccia. Buona la colazione da gustare anche in alcuni tavolini all'aperto.
È necessario avere un mezzo perchè intorno non c'è nulla. Abbiamo chiesto alla reception e dopo mezz'ora avevamo già a dispozione lo scooter. Buona la posizione per girare tutta l'isola, in mezz'ora si raggiungono quasi tutte le spiagge. Zacinto town ha un lungomare molto caotico con scooter si riesce a muoversi molto meglio ed a parcheggiare rapidamente. L'isola è molto bella con tante spiagge sabbiose prima fra tutte alykes. L'hotel è estremamente silenzioso soprattutto alla notte.

Excelente hotel com boa localização, fica perto do centro de Zakynthos Town, cerca de 7 min de carro e possui estacionamento privativo. O café da manhã é bom. Restaurante durante a noite é excelente pra jantar, comida boa e relativamente barata, compatível com os restaurantes o centro da cidade.
Quarto amplo e espaçoso, recomendo a hospedagem.

El hotel en general era aceptable, pero el BAÑO de la habitacion no corresponde con ninguna de las fotos y tenia unos 1,70X1,50 con ducha, NO CABIAN ni dos personas. Imposible convivir 8 dias asi. Evidentemente es la ultima vez que viajo con expedia la cual considero responsable.

Hôtel agréable situé sur les hauteurs de Zakintos. Le personnel est très serviable, à l'écoute et très réactif. Nous avons apprécié la piscine et le restaurant extérieur. Cuisine de qualité à des prix raisonnables. Beaucoup de choix au petit déjeuner mais peu de fruits comme bien souvent en Grèce ... Notre chambre était situé dans le bâtiment près de la piscine, les chambres étaient très confortables : bonne literie, climatisation pas trop bruyante, wifi ok, salle de bain avec douche à l'italienne. Le seul bémol vient des locataires des chambres voisines.. Pendant 2 nuits, nos voisins ont été excessivement bruyants .. Impossible de dormir. Les voisins suivants étaient bien plus discrets.

Ottimo hotel letteralmente immerso nel verde!

Abbiamo trascorso due settimane di relax , in un bell'ambiente , ben tenuto e circondato da ulivi e vigneti! L'hotel è davvero bello e offre un ottimo trattamento. Panorama bellissimo e ottimo clima. Data la posizione dell'albergo assolutamente indispensabile l'auto per visitare l'isola e le spiagge.

Ystävällinen hotelli rauhallisella paikalla.

Hotellin sijainti on hyvin rauhallinen. Zakynthoksen kaupunki on kuitenkin kävelymatkan päässä (ei tosin helpoin kävelymatka, sillä välissä on korkea kukkula). Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä, ja allasalue viihtyisä. Huoneiden äänieristyksessä oli toivomisen varaa, sillä käytävältä kuului ajoittain muiden vieraiden mekastusta.

Vacanza felice e spensierata 😍

Abbiamo soggiornato con la mia famiglia e amici nella prima settimana di luglio. Avevamo prenotato una camera quadrupla familiare + un letto supplementare vista montagna e all’arrivo ci hanno assegnato due camere adiacenti ossia comunicanti, una per noi e una per i nostri ragazzi; le camere anche se non di costruzione recente (come quelle vista piscina) sono ben tenute ma soprattutto PULITE che per noi è la cosa fondamentale. Il cambio asciugamani giornaliero e spesso anche le lenzuola. La colazione a buffet a nostro parere abbondante ,è anche intercontinentale e viene servita in sala e su una veranda con vista collina. Abbiamo scelto la mezza pensione e tutte le sere cenavamo a bordo piscina dove, con menù fisso, Kella si è fatta in quattro per accontentare le nostre richieste.
Io non ho lamentele e lo consiglio vivamente.

Super!

1 week geweest. Super kleinschalig hotel in een olijfgaard. Kamer pas gerenoveerd een dikke 10. Keurig verzorgd zwembad met snackbar. Alle lof aan meneer Adit de receptionist! Geen vraag is teveel zeer behulpzaam en deskundig op alle fronten. Dit hotel beveel ik iedereen aan.
