Three night stay and first time to Istanbul for one of us. Hotel was right in the middle of everything, walkable to shops, the Main Street, dining, historical sites etc. Surprisingly quiet despite the close proximity to everything. Hosts were very nice and accommodated our requests quickly, suggested a place for parking, etc. Breakfast was enough to start the day (coffee/tea and some small pastries, and I think cereal was available too). Elevator in the hotel was a nice relief after days with over 25k steps! Room on the smaller side, altho well appointed. Bathroom was nice but small shower and a few minor issues like a towel bar that was not secured and some showerhead issues.

This hotel is very central to shopping and restaurants. I find the room isolates noise quite well, around 95%, which is not too bothersome for a good night’s sleep. I booked the deluxe room with balcony. The balcony is great for eating and people-watching. I found the Wi-Fi is weakest on the Balo Sokak side of the building, but that didn’t worry me as I had a lot of data to use up for the trip.

Nice clean and modern hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were large and well appointed. Free breakfast items were appreciated. Area was not the best next to a few bars but they werent too much bother and quietened down relatively early and walkable to Taksim Sq and Galata districts with a few minutes. Price was very reasonable for quality of hotel.

The location was great - close to Taksim Square and all kinds of restaurants and shops and also the metro station. The room was cute and clean and despite being close to Independence Street and night clubs and stuff that were busy and crowded into the night, when the windows were closed I couldn’t really hear anything and I slept well! The room was also modern and cute. They don’t really have a breakfast other than complimentary tea and coffee and cookies, but there are loads of places nearby that serve turkish breakfasts. Staff were nice - especially the maid. The wifi was a little slow sometimes though.

Great first-time in Istanbul!
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. It was clean, modern, in good repair, with good amenities and a comfy, small-ish room. I had a message within 10 minutes of booking offering extra services. An extra pillow and iron were waiting in our room for no extra charge. Staff gave recommendations, answered questions, gave converter plugs for electronics upon request, etc. Petros is around the corner from Taksim, a 15 minute walk in either direction to the Metro, and taxis and buses meet just across a main busy road. Sound-proofing is decent in the room, but there’s so many restaurants, bars and cars outside that it gets very noisy; ear plugs on weekends are essential! The week was quieter though. Just keep the window closed and put the aircon on a timer before bed. Would 100% recommend Petros to others and would stay again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff member Barish was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was spotless, modern, and well-equipped with everything I needed. Other reviews do refer to the street noise that go on into the early hours of the morning , however this was not a problem for us. You need to consider the location and that this will be particularly noises. I choose Taksim as I wanted to be in the centre of Istanbul and for us the location was perfect , with easy access to local attractions and dining options all on istikal street.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Taksim and special thanks to Barish and staff for surprising me with a birthday cake - very thoughtful .

Some rooms can be noisy due to businesses outside that keep later hours, but that’s why you’re here - the nightlife that is right outside your door. Light snacks offered in lobby at breakfast.

I liked the balcony room where I could sit and have coffee and watch people. This is a boutique hotel and room was reasonably spacious. On a busy and noisy street but did not bother me as I was out sight seeing and dining. I also used my noise cancelling Apple airpods and i could not hear anything. It's very close to Isthiklal street where you can go for walks and shopping. Taksim square is pretty close as well. I took Uber to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, fairly cheap, and did my own leisurely walks with no pressure of tourist guide. Unlike Egypt you can go sight seeing on your own with no guide. Staff at the hotel spoke English and were super nice and helpful. They provide simple complimentary breakfast. But right across and on Isthiklal there are tons of places to eat full breakfast/ lunch or dinner. Tried different Turkish foods and sweets. People are generally nice but they don't speak much English at the stores.

If you’re visiting Istanbul stay away from this area and hotel. We booked two rooms but only one room was used for one night. My friends were going to come the next night but we canceled it. I called orbit the day we arrived to let them know how unsafe the area was and informed them we wanted to change our hotel but when they called the hotel no one was there since it was late. The next day we checked out at 10 am. When I told the staff at the front desk they informed me I will be charged for 2 days for one room and 1 day for the other. I think that was absolutely ridiculous, i was told it’s because they will lose a night of stay and I am penalized for it. Why would I want to stay in an area where it’s super dangerous. Save your money and your sanity do not stay anywhere near there.

I really enjoyed my stay. It was right in the middle of restaurants, clubs and shopping. Yes its loud at night but that didnt bother me. It kind of added to the experience. If you decide to book, I suggest getting a room with a balcony.

This is in a great location near Taksim. It’s just far enough from the busy area so it’s somewhat quiet. There are still a couple bars nearby that you can hear. You can walk to a lot of areas from the hotel. Front desk staff were always friendly

Over all the hotel was very nice. Updated rooms and bathrooms. New windows so it helped reduce the noise from outside. The location is just off a main street with lots of bars, if that's what your looking for. The noise is not too bad mostly all you can hear is the bass from the clubs. What was not great is the people that were going to the bars. Walking this area at night may be an issue for some. For example there was a group of young men that got into a fist fight by the hotel entrance. The hotel can't control this but going out at night here didn't feel very safe.

This was one of my worst experiences during a hotel stay. The hotel itself is quite cute and cozy although rooms are quite small for a 5 star hotel. The bathroom cleanliness was not the best. The room temperature was way too high for winter, I had to sleep with the windows open which was not the best because I could hear all the noises from the street. The room had a digital thermostat screen but changing the temperature did not lower the temperature in the room. The worst of all is the staff. They did not help with lowering the temperature of the room. One night they insisted that I had brought another guest in the room and asked to present HIS for passport, when I was there by myself. During that incident they implied that I was lying and questioned my sexuality which made me feel the worst. I had to phonically go to front desk to set everything straight.
On checkout I had scheduled an Uber to take me to the airport, however they insisted on calling their taxi service alleging that Uber was illegal in Istanbul, which I knew was false since I had been using the service through my stay, they said on a threatening manner that I would regret the consequences if police stopped me. I cannot recommend this place to anyone because of their staff. Hotel is nice, historic and with great location, but cleanliness is subpar and staff is awful.

Character property centrally located. Very easy access to Isteklal Ave, eateries (local) and restaurants, able to walk and explore Istanbul city and easy to the metro and bus service. Most front desk staff gave clear concise information (a man called Mostapha) and a disengaged disinterested unwilling unhelpful night staff member who came across as standoffish (in relation to a particular younger staff member).

Hotel is very clean and the location is excellent to explore istanbul. However, there are also many nightclubs downstairs and sound isolation is not very good

This is a lovely small hotel with excellent facilities and a wonderful staff ready to do all they can to help. The room was a bit small to my liking but ok as it was new and very clean. The location is so close to the main strip of cafes and shops it was nice. BUT there is also a small portion of surrounding unseedy people who, never bother you but it would be nicer without their presence.

Excellent hotel! One of the best in Istanbul. Super clean and comfortable and the beds are so comfy. Their bath robes are super soft and warm, something to look forward to at the end of a cold day in Istanbul. Mustafa the front desk employee was very nice and helpful. They agreed to keep my luggage with them as i was going to the island for one night. Then i came back to the hotel and booked three more nights. They gave me the best room. I love that the rooms have big wide windows that allows a lot of sunlight. The bathroom is very clean and all toiletries are provided. They answer all your needs instantly. I would definitely stay again. The location is great and takes you right out the middle of istiklal street.
