The resort seems to be distinctly divided into 2. The old part (ex-Hilton prior renovation) and the newly built part which mostly spreads down along the beautiful beach.
Having finally arrived following a long flight and 1.5 hour taxi transfer we were most disappointed to find our names not being known to security at the entrance gate. This was then followed by drop-off at what seemed like a backdoor reception room. I was adamant we had been brought to the wrong hotel!
No refreshing towel, no welcome drink..
Only afterwards we learnt that the lobby was still undergoing refurbishment. Fair enough but we weren’t informed. We were initially assigned a dark, tired room with aging decor, furniture and a far cry from our expectations having thoroughly enjoyed our stay at RIXOS Saadyat Island, Abu Dhabi the previous year.
The following morning having requested a room change we were pleased to have been offered a chance to upgrade to one of the new suits, with direct beach access. Night and day!
The new suites are beautiful, clean, modern and we are so relieved to have opted to change. Despite having to pay a bit extra, this completely transformed our stay.
Most staff were very polite and extremely helpful.

make our stay enjoyable.

Das Rixos Al Mairid überzeugt durch einen sehr aufmerksamen und zuvorkommenden Service, eine hochwertige Auswahl an Spirituosen sowie eine große Vielfalt an Speisen bei durchgehend guter Qualität.
Die Anlage ist weitläufig gestaltet, wirkt zu keiner Zeit überfüllt und bietet dadurch ein dauerhaft entspanntes Urlaubsgefühl.
Besonders hervorzuheben sind die schönen, gepflegten Strände und die angenehme Lounge-Atmosphäre in den Strandbars, die zum Verweilen einlädt.

Superb hotel with very good food and service. Brilliant for a family trip.

The evening entertainment at this hotel is the best I’ve ever seen, it’s like a full west end show every night.

Staff are great. Restaurants also very good.

The condition of the hotel is good, the rooms are good (not the best Ive been to at a Rixos but still good).

The hotel is very Russian heavy and as a result some stuff is aimed to that culture, but not a major issue.

Hotel was not ready for our large group of 40 people. Most of us got our room away after the 3pm check-in time and then there were various problems within the rooms mainly that of lack of hot water! Eventually all sorted and we enjoyed the rest of our time. The buffet is vast but it would be nice to have a bit more variety of vegetarian options other than salad and an Indian corner.

We had a great stay at Rixos Ras Al Khaimah. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the reception team and the bar staff who were quick and efficient even when it was busy. There are lots of pools to choose from, which was fantastic, and the buffet had a really good variety of food.

The only downsides were that the rooms in the main hotel felt a bit dated, and there was no food or drinks service on the beach despite being told at reception that there would be. It was quite inconvenient having to walk about 6/7 minutes each way to get water or drinks, especially with little kids.

Otherwise, it’s a lovely hotel overall — great service, good facilities, and a relaxing stay.

Do not go to this hotel.

We arrived on Friday 11th July and have left on Wednesday 16th July to stay at a different hotel due to how awful this Rixos is.

I am unsure how the hotel can class themselves as a 5 star and all inclusive. I have been to Dubai many times and this hotel lacks everything Dubai offers.

The restaurant rush you from the moment you sit down for dinner and don’t leave you to enjoy your food.

The rooms are VERY dated and tight for space. The booking system to book restaurants is a complete faff and does not work. By the time you manage to get on they are fully booked.

The buffet restaurant has no dress code and people are strolling in for dinner in swim wear.

You cannot get snacks anywhere in the hotel, no snack bar, no ice cream nothing. You can only eat from 12-3. After this you cannot get anything until dinner. This isn’t great when you are traveling with kids.

Very disappointed with the lack of staff, no real effort to help you or make you feel welcome. Will never stay here again!

What an amazing hotel, we had a great stay. The hotel is lovely although we thought the rooms need refreshing they are kept nice and clean. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. The gardens are gorgeous and very well maintained. A few swimming pools all nice and clean.
We had a small issue with the room and Prakash from reception, in a great professional manner, did everything he can and more to ensure resolving that issue for us. Thank you Prakash 🙏
His colleague Dally was also very nice and helpful. Thank you Dally 🙏
In general, all the staff were so friendly and helpful, which really made this hotel stand out compared to many other 5 star hotels around the world we have stayed at.
Mohamed Ali by the pool was giving all guest including us a true 5 star service every single day! Very professional, extremely attentive and helpful! Thank you Mohamed Ali🙏
Another great member of the staff was Basil at the buffet restaurant. He was there as soon as we sat down making sure we have everything we need. All the waiters there were really nice and good but Basil stood out with going an extra mile to provide excellent service. Thank you Basil 🙏
I am not one to write reviews, in fact I never do, but this time I feel that the staff and especially the above mentioned members of the staff really contributed to our fantastic experience at this fabulous hotel that I could just not go without sharing this and recognise the amazing service we received from the staff.

Went during eid holidays, fully booked but you don't feel it since the hotel is big. Beach and pools are beautiful, Food buffet is good but repetitive, a la carte restaurant are Ok, service is good, rooms needs an update, in overal 4/5. I recommend and will come back

Great room! We stayed at a villa with direct access to the beach it was wonderful! The quality of the buffet is not that of other Rixos hotels, small and runs out of food too fast. We managed to book at the Brazilian steak restaurant and the food was excellent

as Hotel location Building and facility was perfect and very Nice , i can proudly say one of best Hotel i visited in Ras Al Khaimah But the only problem in my opinion you are missing managers in ground to manage the stuff , stuff is available but they need a manager to organize and guide there work and scope of job

Staff were amazing - so eager to help, polite and bent over backwards to make our stay so great. Rooms were good quality and quiet in our location. Food was excellent especially at the Turkish and Steakhouse. However the new booking system means you have an internet scrabble at 9am to book the restaurants and they were all technically booked in 10 seconds. However, in reality they were deserted so we found our way around the system! Only negative was that it was full of rude Russians and there was no bar waiter on the beach. However, would definintely consider returning

Fantastic resort and great value for money. The staff were all amazing - friendly, helpful and attentive from check-in to check-out. The all-inclusive food and drink were good quality, and there were plenty of activities and amenities to enjoy between meals. The resort is a short taxi ride away from several shopping malls and hypermarkets, and whilst it's a long drive from major airports it's worth the journey if you want somewhere a bit calmer than Dubai but with the same level of luxury.

Hotel has gone downhill massively since becoming a Rixos. Food was largely inedible, including in the Al cartes. Only two Al carte restaurants open with very limited menus.
Queues at the buffet restaurant, unable to eat outside at Orient, construction work, pounding music until late at night….the list goes on

Unser Aufenthalt im Rixos Al Maareed war von Anfang bis Ende einfach fantastisch. Das Hotel überzeugt durch seine traumhafte Lage direkt am privaten Sandstrand, die großzügige und gepflegte Anlage sowie das herausragende Service-Niveau.

Die Zimmer sind modern, sauber und sehr komfortabel eingerichtet – mit tollem Ausblick auf das Meer oder den Garten. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Vielfalt an kulinarischen Angeboten in den verschiedenen Restaurants: Ob orientalisch, international oder mediterran – alles war frisch, abwechslungsreich und qualitativ hochwertig.

Der Service ist absolut erstklassig: Das Personal war stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Auch bei kleinen Anliegen wurde uns sofort geholfen.

Die Poollandschaft ist großzügig gestaltet und auch für Familien ideal. Für Kinder gibt es zahlreiche Aktivitäten, während Erwachsene sich im Spa oder beim Sport erholen können. Die All-Inclusive-Leistungen sind hervorragend – sowohl bei Speisen als auch bei Getränken.

Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Rixos Al Maareed uneingeschränkt empfehlen – sei es für Paare, Familien oder Alleinreisende, die Erholung auf hohem Niveau suchen.

Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

L'ensemble, l'accès à la plage devant notre logement, la gentillesse du personnel, les piscines, la mer, le buffet excellent, le petit moins beaucoup de monde le week-end au restaurant et relativement bruyant. Les gens devraient être placés (des couples s'installent à des tables pour 6 personnes) et prennent la place pour les grandes familles dont les tables sont limitées.

The new concept is not as flexible as the previous one. Some renovations should be done. The platform for booking restaurants should be fine tuned and some additional training for the staff regarding consistency of food and drink quality as well as hospitality would be good. All in all it was okay but compared with our stay two years ago there is definitely room for improvement. Special commendation to the staff and food at the Orient restaurant and the front desk.
