Had a very bad experience with the management of the hotel. There were some hicup at the check in and i believe management of the hotel should improve its customer relation management.
Thanks to the rest of the staff, i had an amazing stay. Management should really thank them. The staff was amazing and had a great customer relations.
Few things:
- the infinity pool needs a strong improvement.
- lots of bird poop on the sunbeds
- at the kids pool, (at the slide pool area) kids older than 3 years should not be allowed. They are jumping in the pool and if you have a baby it gets quite dangerous. My son was pushed several times
- the villa and the overall property is not stroller friendly (stairs everywhere,…)
But
Went for a family staycation. The staff is amazing and you can count on them. I had a back pain and one of the buggy driver gave us his phone number to call him directly so we would not have to wait and stand with pain! After this all the buggy team was aware of my back pain issue
The cleaning team was really nice and friendly as well as the restaurant team! Thanks the team
Very nice spot for family staycation. We also had a nice encounter with the photographer based in the hotel.

The quality of food for the restaurant of the Mediterranean restaurant has to be improved.
Also, friday very nice belly dance show at the beach and great ambiance for the BBQ. Must do!

Great resort, we stayed on the older villa side, the rooms are due for an update (as opposed to the newer rooms in the Village) but our 2 bedroom villa was spacious and clean and very quiet, so we had a great stay.

Very good for relaxing.

Rooms are clean, but little bit tiny and old compared to the other fancy resorts. Not all rooms have great views but still it's fine. All day dining restaurant outside dining view was great. Pools are very good and not crowded. Beach is also good and not deep. One downside is that water sports was not available at all.

The beach was great. Waiting time for a buggy was often too long at peak times. We wld prefer more Arabic/Indian dishes. Some natural juces w/o added sugar or sweetener wld be great, too. And, pls get rid of these damned plastic water bottles!

Beautiful location and great property! The views are spectacular! Rooms are big and comfortable. All inclusive is a great deal, good food variety and deliciousness. Excellent guest service. One observation is the late children activities from 8pm to after 9pm may be a different location would be better.

Nice hotel, fortunately with an adults pool as there were a lot of children. Food was good. Gym good although lacking a few machines I'm used to. Sauna area good too.

There is a buggy service to get you around the resort. As previous reviewers mentioned there are just not enough of them so you find yourself hanging a round waiting a lot. And in 40+ temperatures that's not fun. It's a bit dissapointing because the management must clearly be aware of this from previous reviews.

Great all inclusive stay!

We stayed for a 4 night break and would return in the future. The housekeeping was superb, nothing was too much trouble and our room was spotless.
We took the all inclusive package and only ate in Cinnamon which would have become repetitive if we’d stayed longer but the food was good. I have to mention Milan one of the waiters, he was so helpful and warm and always had a smile and a friendly greeting, a real asset to the Hotel!
The beach is beautiful and clean. The adult pool had lots of sunbeds. The all inclusive drinks were good.

Magnificent Resort, probably my favorite in UAE so far and I've been to many. It's huge, so internal transportations is kind of required always, but it's easy and quick to send a golf kart. Absolutely recommended. It's a hidden gem in RAK no doubts.

This is not a 5 star resort in anyway - more like a 3 star. The resort is lovely but its operational style is a disaster. To many issues to mention - but the most unbelievable one was that the last breakfast was at 10.30 - we arrived at 10.15 but 10.45 they were already clearing away the food so we couldn't finish breakfast. I paid over US$500 for one night. To be treated like this - unacceptable - I will never go back.

This is outdated and older hotel, they need to start updating, the rooms are small, and doesn’t have iron or ironing board.
You need to use golf carts to go to your room, and when I ordered the cart to check out it took them forever to send one.

Beautiful resort, peaceful, quiet, well ornamented with lights and beautiful trees and small roads of cobble stone. Lovely beach and beautiful pools (3 total). Staff is amazing and understanding and goes the extra mile to help out. For instance, I wanted a closer look to the sea and they helped me getting another room for my second day with a closer seaview. The only thing that could be improved a bit is the speed at which one can obtain a buggy to get around. Nonetheless, the resort is walkable for the most part, withstanding the weather. Overall great place, private, quiet, neat, well designed. Totally worth it.

Our stay was okay but the room was definitely not worth the price at all. It was overpriced multiple times of what it is worth. The room was tiny and had a smell of mold. The bed was rock solid. We woke up with sore body. Otherwise barbeque event was nice. The location is great and once you are out of the room and walk a bit, the view is nice. Not sure if I want to come back. We paid way too much for it.

Excellent setup. Very nice views from rooms. The rooms are spacious. The beach is far to walk but the pool is very large ... Nice bars. The buffet was too hectic as many package tourists were there. The personnel was friendly. The front office, esp. Anastasia was very friendly and professional. The food quality could be better. We loved it and highly recommend this place. Amazing Establishment - BUT Poor Service

We originally had booked 2 rooms. Both rooms were given late. 1st room 8020 and then one hour later 8012. We also requested both rooms be next to each other when we initially booked the rooms from Hotels.com. Also we did not get the view from the room which we originally had booked for (Deluxe Room) which we paid extra for.

Then after getting the key to 8020 - as we were walking to van to take us to the room, I noticed where my luggage was on the trolley, there was also someone else's garments which were on top of my luggage - to be exact it was on top of my 7 month old's foldable bed. In current conditions with COVID, this was very appalling. I raised the concern to the attendant who was putting other peoples garments on top of my luggage - at which the attendant completely ignored my concern. Then I went back into the reception and raised the issue, and also raised the issue with Ibrahim (Front end manager).

The difficult part was obtaining a van to take us to and from the beach + pool. Waiting time was ridiculous as we had to make several calls because we had a children 5yrs and below with us, walking in the heat was difficult for them.

At one point when we were taken from beach back to our rooms - the driver made another stop to pick up additional guests to pack the vehicle. Now this is another COVID precaution red flag - especially with a newborn in the vehicle the driver was mixing up guests.

Dears,

My experience was very bad, this was my first visit to this hotel and unfortunately it will be the last, and here I will mention a few points :
1- The room was smelly and dusty.
2- The Tv signal was lost and there was no channels at all
3- The Sink was broken and whole was blocked adding to that we found that the water that is coming from the water faucet was yellow! means not clean.
4- The service was very poor due to the current circumstances so it was taking like 20 - 25 mins to get car for transportation between the rooms and the Main restaurant or to the beach.
5- My wife passed out due to the heat on the beach and they didn't send a car to pick us from there for more than 35 mins!! more than 5 calls to reception and no response.

IN the end I had to check out 1 day before my check out due to this poor service.

Lovely resort, with a wonderful secluded feel. Staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. I had a fab room with a balcony from which I could see the sea. The huge stretch of beach was amazing too. Breakfast offered a great choice and I dined in Basilico, which was delicious.

-Resort is gorgeous

- service is poor, you have to request things numerous times

- choice of restaurants is poor, both food quality and service, overpriced

- spa (massage) is poor, unprofessional and very over priced

Overall, the resort is gorgeous. However, the whole thing is overpriced. The service is poor, so is the food quality and options as well as the massage spa. Essentially, you’re paying high premium prices for not premium services. That’s my honest review.

This was a fantastic resort for just relaxing and contained everything you needed.
Loved the fact there were two choices of pools where there wasn't any young children allowed at one which meant it was lovely and peaceful.
Wide variety buffet for breakfast and dinner .... we opted to have lunch out or at the pool cafe/bars which were delicious and very filling!!
There was no advertised entertainment as such but there was a pool DJ, live singers in the dining area once or twice and another DJ in the bar area once. Would be nice to have had some sort of evening entertainment rather than watching football on the large screen TV!
Would definitely recommend this resort.

Nice resort, starting to age

I stayed at the Cove Rotana for 3 nights. The check-in and check-out processes were painful but everything in between was great. I requested a non-smoking room when I checked in. The room given to me smelled of smoke and had a Cove Rotana ashtray and pack of matches on the coffee table in the room. The manager was just going to send me an air freshener but I insisted on having my room changed because the smoke is in the couch, curtains, blankets, etc. I still don't think the manager understood about the smoke as he was not sympathetic and did not apologize.

After the room change, everything was great! Manesh in housekeeping was very helpful with the room change and everyone was nice and friendly. The drivers were too talkative for my preference but I don't like small talk.

The check-out process was a pain. There were two clerks and they were both helping customers and a third clerk was helping one of the other clerks. I was the first person waiting. More people came to the counter. The third clerk then starting helping random people paying no attention to those of us who had been waiting a long time. I finally spoke up and the third clerk helped me. The other two clerks were still with the same customers when I left more than 10 minutes later.

The resort is beautiful but if you pay attention to the details, you can see it is starting to age. Small blocks of marble missing from steps, mold in the bathrooms, etc. Also, the hot water runs out very quickly.

Basic resort that needs updating.

The road to get in and out is inconvenient and there is no facilities near the resort. There is no ATM on the premise and you have to walk a long ways on a dangerous side road to get to the nearest one. The food is basic and only one restaurant on the property. There is another restaurant on a close property. Several bars and pools and great beaches. Privacy was great. Cost for value was good.

Leisure Stay at The Cove Rotana Resort

The Cove Rotana Resort is a great place to chill if you are transiting for a few days in either Abu Dhabi (two & half hours drive) or Dubai (one hour & 15 minutes drive).
The staff at resort are very courteous & polite especially the dining staff, room service staff & valet staff.

The only downside to our stay was the cost of wine & liquor in the restaurants which was outrageously over priced, but other than that the quality of food was outstanding both in buffet restaurant & fine dining restaurant

its a good hotel, great views but i faced some issues
i waited for almost 1 hour to check-in and go to my room because there was a water leakage in my room!!
it happened once while i was taking a shower the water has been cut and come back again several times so it was too annoying
and the water has been cut from 2am to 5am when i complained they sent me water bottles and they told me it will be fixed by 5am, But it happened again at the same timing from 2am to 5am ..!!

Amazing birthday weekend

Stayed for two nights with my husband for my birthday. We have been upgraded to a lagoon view villa with private pool which was a great start of our weekend away. The villa was spacious and very comfortable, private pool was not temperature controlled but it was still nice to enjoy a swim after the sunset when infinity pool and beach were closed. The only negative I have is number of flies in the room from the lagoon, maybe cleaning water there would help? As it was my birthday, a complimentary cake was delivered to the room, which was a nice touch, thank you Rotana. Staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast at the restaurant was good. The resort is huge, so depending which room/villa you stay, be prepared to walk a lot as it takes time to get to the restaurants from the villas and to the beach, alternatively of course you can call golf carts/cars to pick you up and drive you where needed. Overall good experience and will be recommending this hotel to friends and family.

A not so chilled out weekend!

Very disappointed this time. Item requested for the room, was not there, but arrived much later. Rooms not cleaned until 5pm. Extremely slow service at the beach bar, and balcony bar. A peaceful time by the sea was shattered by a DJ setting up for a private party!

Awesome place to visit for a wonderful holiday

Me and my wife had a wonderful time at Cover Rotana. It was truly a refreshing trip and I am happy i selected this location. Staff were good, place is very neat, you have your privacy.

Check in an check out will take time and you need to be patient during this process. But for the delay they provide some benefits like free breakfast or extended check-out.

One suggestion would be to arrange transport from Ras Al Khaima bus station to the resort.

Beautiful place with horrible service

Our stay was beyond horrific! We had horrible service from the moment of check in when they tried to charge us again for our paid for rooms! The internet we paid for didn't work; it took 2 hours to get a blanket; three hours for room service to deliver our extra food from the restaurant; the hotel staff were rude and argumentative; and we were treated disrespectfully the entire time. The gentleman at the desk was very kind and apologetic at check out.
