I have visited Rixos in 2022 and was so happy with everything. 3 Years later it was completely different story: the rooms were very basic, no robes, flat pillows, towels with small holes.
The food varieties went downhill. What was very strange is the amount of \"supervising\" staff in the main restaurant and still the service was hectic and disappointing. Adult only area was way too small. Wifi was weak and hardly usable in the rooms
Another thing is THE SMELL from the neighboring plant in the evening, It was so bad, we could not be outside and spent evenings indoors.
Will we return? NO.

Staff were exceptional, food was great, especially the Indian and Italian food options. It's not as well manicured and grand as say the sharm el sheikh Rixos, but actually because most of the facilities are very close together, it's just a few minute walk to access anything.

Also, if you have teenage kids, then they can do multiple things whilst you have a central base at one of the pools.

One annoying thing is no one respect the pool policy of not reserving beds with your belongings, this makes it essential to get up early and leave belongings on sun beds. I hate that, prefer a first come first serve basis. Some people are literally putting down their belongings at 8am and not returning back for 3 hours, making it very unfair on all. They should really have a look into this.

The family suite was great, two fantastic size rooms backed onto each other.

I would say the a la carte restaurants are not as good as Sharm Rixos or others. They all feel similar in style, and the seafood restaurant was a Mish mash of random dishes.

The infinity pool area is great for adults, the bar their is lovely. Some of the bars they put little effort into the drinks others they make the drinks really well.

Overall though, I would recommend, but Sharm Rixos is probably a better option.

This hotel was fabulous. The variety of food was great, however I don't eat breakfast. There was a sink leaking across the floor in my 1st room. The second room I had a leaking sink from the faucet, the bathroom was not very clean especially the shower, and 4 lock doors that would not lock. The locks were repaired but the sink continue to leak. However, the beds were comfortable, the staff was very nice and helpful. The facility had lots of fun things to do and enjoy. All in all Rixos Bab A Barh is a beautiful place to spend your vacation or holiday.

The hotel needs to improve its communication with guests. Service at the bars, especially during the day, was lacking. Additionally, staff members rarely greeted guests—basic courtesies like \"good morning\" or \"thank you\" were often missing, which made the service feel unwelcoming.

2. Room Facilities:
The rooms themselves were comfortable, but there was a significant issue with the bathroom. Every time we showered, water leaked through the cracks in the shower, creating a mess and potential safety hazard. This should be addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Avoid! We were a group of 6 couples that had booked separately for birthday celebrations, only 2 couples had an easy experience upon arrival.
We booked a premium king room with sea view, received a small twin room with view of a car park

A couple booked pay on arrival room but as they didn’t arrive at 3pm their room was given away AND the hotel couldn’t source them another room and also DIDNT care, they didn’t even try and contact them to see if they were arriving - this is unacceptable.

Another couple booked a room that had been made up for a family and was not clean on check in

Another couple were told they had no reservation despite having email confirmation from the hotel and the obligatory ‘we are looking forward to you staying’ style email they received the day before

You can’t use A la carte restaurants until your second night - this was not made clear

All in all, really poor service and care from the management team who didn’t care because they knew that the hotel would sell out regardless
Imagine flying in with a young family and having any of the issues we did

Great stay for 2 adults and 2 teens

Excellent location and layout of resort, good entertainment and very attentive service with to seat and lounger drink service in every bar/location even on the beach. Food was to die for particularly the daily indian and seafood options but every taste catered for. Only complaint was the booking system for the Al-la-carte restaurants the app system just doesn’t work but I reckon they will fix that in the next few months. They seemed to listen and acknowledge the problem.

Let's start with the good points - The team are great. Whoever is recruiting them for their personality and hospitality is doing a great job. Especially the team at the Isla bar - so friendly as are the breakfast team which takes some managing. The hotel is comfortable and well kept. Where the operation falls down - the food throughout is poor, uninspired and not the quality expected of a 4 star hotel. The exception is the breakfast omelette chefs - they're very good! Although the team are great, they lack training and taking ownership. If the hotel can get to grips with this, it would become a great hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever

Stay away from this hotel. Because it is not a hotel it is a refugee camp. They are accepting nearly double hosts above their capasity. Everywhere was crowded. There was lines in restaurants and bars mostly. Biggest issues were about swimming. Most of public pools are possibly visiting by less amount of people. It was full with human. Sea was terrible too. Especially afternoon its coluor is turning brown.
We checked out one day earlier.

My stay was very good, the place is delightful, and most of the staff are very friendly and polite. I say most because the guy who checked me in (unfortunately, I don't remember his name) was rude and inattentive. I informed him that I had two separate reservations for two consecutive days and wanted to stay in the same room without needing to check in again. However, due to his lack of care on the second day, my room was blocked, and I had to go to reception to resolve this. Thankfully, I was perfectly assisted by another staff member (whose name I also don't remember) who quickly and very politely resolved my issue.

Another issue I find serious about the hotel is that despite using the term \"ultra all-inclusive,\" the à la carte restaurants can only be used from the second day onwards, and I only found this out at the hotel reception. I checked the entire website and found no mention of this information.

There are also times when it's impossible to get any kind of complimentary free food because all the restaurants are closed, and there is no area where you can get any kind of snack.

The operating hours of the self-service restaurant do not match those stated on the website/check-in because half an hour before closing, there was hardly any food or utensils left for us to serve ourselves.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will definitely return to the hotel, but I believe that information regarding the use of the restaurants should be immediately included on the website.

I recently stayed at this property with my family and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the property was very clean. They also had great entertainment options for both kids and adults, which is a nice touch.

However, I was a very disappointed with the food and drinks. While there was plenty of variety, we all found the taste of everything was very bland and the brands of drinks were of cheap quality. It would be great if they could improve the quality of their food and drinks to match the high standard of their staff and property. Overall, it was a good stay but the food and drinks could definitely use some improvement.

I had a bad experience at the check in and check out. The receptionist (Ismail) that checked me in was unprofessional and remarkably rude he had an attitude throughout the entire check in process and was not cooperative. It took hours for me to get my room. Moreover I booked a room with a pool/sea view and PAID extra for it. I was given a room with storage view where the pool would barely be seen from the corner of a small window. Overall, there was incompetence and uncooperativeness during the check in. During the check out, the receptionist were rude and unqualified. I called to get a late checkout to enjoy the beach for longer time, but the receptionist was rude about it and made a condition that I don’t enter the restaurant. They barely gave me an extra hour as a “late checkout” and tried to sound generous about it as if it’s not my right. The management was incompetent and all over the place, were not cooperative, and sounded condescending. This is not hospitality anymore. This isn’t how treatment should be in a five stars resort.

We were intrigued by the \"All Inclusive\" offering, and our expectations were certainly met. Upon arrival, the sheer size of the place was hard to miss – it's massive!

Although there was a minor hiccup during check-in, where our reservation wasn't initially in the system, the check-in staff efficiently resolved the issue. However, it did cause a bit of a rush for us because check-in starts at 3 pm, we were delayed by 15 mins or so and then the lunch buffet ends at 3:30 pm. Even without the delay lunch ending just 30 minutes after check is something I found a bit disappointing.

After enjoying lunch, we proceeded to our room and decided to explore the premises. Our visit to the Isla bar was a warm and enthusiastic experience, with Rafael taking excellent care of us.

We also made a reservation for dinner at Fish Bone, and we were impressed by the diverse menu options. The staff at Fish Bone were not only attentive but also very friendly, with special mentions for Abassi and Krishna. Following dinner, we extended our evening on the outside terrace, savoring our wine and enjoying live music.

The breakfast and lunch buffet consistently maintained a high standard, and the staff continued to be exceptionally attentive, with Seemab providing excellent service.

Finally, check out was super smooth, with a team member with a tablet there was no need even to go to the counter and we were checked out in seconds!

This time it exceeded our expectations in service, activities & quality of food.
We are regular customers at Rixos Bab Al-Bahr. It rarely disappoints us. This time was one of the best if not the best. Extra activities - all day long - that engages the family and kids at the pool, kids area, at the beach, inflatable bouncy castles. Staff were very helpful and service oriented, and service continues till very late at night with same passion and dedication. On top of our mind few names that were really attentive, Sinawla, Subash & Ismaiel.
Yet we have couple of concerns, we aways request adding the stay points to our ALL account but every time we get disappointed. The hotel has shared ownership and we don’t get the stay ponts 😆. Another issue is the flexibility at check-in and out and the free upgrades. Late check out & early check ins are common requests, but hotel is very inflexible with this. Thanks to Redha at front desk for trying to help.
Anyways, thanks for Rixos team, keep the high quality service all year long.

Everything outdoors including food was amazing, room was ordinary (at best 3.5 stars), there was no garden view (as was made to pay), there was a huge noisy generator (I guess) right outside the room, the windows were not sound proof and noise from the road outside was constant, mattress and pillows were below standard and not comfortable, curtains were torn, fittings in the toilet were leaking, wash basin clogged, towels definitely not up to standard (were old, over used and multi colored).

Overall room 3/10 whereas other outdoor facilities 8/10

Was not so good specially the food is based on quantity not quality due to the huge number of people there are alot of options but the quality is very bad considering the price in addition it was very much disappointing to not find availability to book restaurants although from 6:30 to 10:30 we were just walking around and the capacity of the same restaurants which where supposed to be full had soo many empty tables all out through the night. Apparently we lost trust.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Perfect for a family beach holiday. The staff are excellent. The food in the buffet is of a very high standard - recommend going a little later (8pm) to avoid the rush and sitting outside. Restaurants can be a little difficult to book. Recommend calling when you arrive and making a couple of bookings in advance otherwise they book up very quickly.

The hotel is nice, overall the staff is very nice and friendly. Some points are to be highlighted.
Check-in is too slow and time consuming.
The booking process for a la carte restaurants is horrible and unprofessional where you have to book by calling 6699 which is busy all the time and no one answers. There is no option to speak to someone face to face, so they have to work more on that .
The facility in general is getting old and needs more maintenance as this can by a nice 4 starts facility but not up to the level of 5 stars

We payed for two rooms same price, one had balcony, second had no balcony.weird.
When it comes for quality, beer were served with room temperature everywhere. Food is good except the fact that you have to wait in the line for 10 min to get bread.
Reception staff is with low iq. Frankly, I would not suggest to go this place. Its just too crowded with families.

I have been to other Rixos resorts and the experience was totally different.
I will give it 2/10 (1 for the nice waiters and 1 for the last apology complementary lunch).
This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had.
It was my daughter's birthday, of course they did not make any nice gesture about it.
Rude staff with no understanding of what hospitality means.
No cleaning for the rooms, you need to call several times to get it. I asked the housekeeping people who were just outside the room to clean the room several times, every time they were saying yes and when I was coming back to the room realizing that they did not do anything.
Hard to find a booking in most of the restaurants.
The hotel needs a lot of renovation and deep cleaning.
The all-inclusive is equivalent to full-board (3 meals) plus drinks except for on Friday where there are some snacks.
They also did not recognize the VIP status.
For sure, this is the last time I book there.

Overall good stay but needs improvements

Overall it was fine but there is still room for big improvement. I had ro spend 30mins just for check-in and everything was so hectic at that time. Due to the crowds, I felt like the ac was not working inside the hotel.

The check in process was not smooth and the staff asked me to have a lunch first because lunch buffet close at 15:30 (and I don't know why check in is at 15:00 and why it's under-staffed at 15:00- the busiest time of the day)

When I arrived at the lunch buffet at 15:20, the restaurant was hectic again. The food did not look fresh and was not tasty.

However, the dinner restaurants, drinks, show were fine.
Definitely it was good weekend trip but I think it has to improve its quality.

The staff are the hotels biggest asset, at the cocktail bar they go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.

At the steak restaurant the food is amazing but the courses literally come on top of each other so could be spaced out by even a few minutes. Again the service staff were friendly and helpful.

In the main restaurant again the service staff could not do enough for you, they always had a smile on their face and went above and beyond. The food though was average, not bad just average.

I think post Covid you will be able to book more restaurants easier, but if you book now you should book the reservation before you arrive.

The show they put on was a laugh, more laughing at how bad it was more than entertaining.

Overall it was a pleasure to stay because of the service staff

It was an extremely disappointing stay. While we had booked a premium room with a sea view, it was partial, shallow waters…and the layout of the room was completely opposed to having any view which was strange- the bed and the sofa beside for sitting were both facing the wall and the tv - the sea view was on the opposite direction…it amazes me how a room could be so !!! The saving grace was the service of the staff…

The hotel is a great concept, and the all inclusive aspect is unique, however the hotel is run down and needs repairs - in no way was the room a five star experience. The shower tap was broken, stains on carpets, and just generally didn’t feel so clean. Buffet was good most of the time, but the restaurants were major disappointments.

Check IN took 45 minutes its too long wasn't expected at 5 Star Hotel.
Reception stuff very slow,require a lot of training to be smiley, friendly , not comprehensive , they are not reflecting a good image of Rixos policy unless its as the staff showed.

We got late check out, they called our room more than twice & house keeping came many times knocking on our door starting from 12 noon since our time extended until 2 PM , bad management & coordination between departments

Over crowded and not good for babies.

Hotel was full to the brim and queues for everything. A few of the restaurants were closed which meant a few eating venues only for such huge crowds. Everyone good at wearing masks but social distancing not possible when you pack a hotel that much.
Baby pool way over subscribed with murky, dirty water. We stayed 1 night out of our 3 night stay as it was pretty uncomfortable. Room was spacious and clean, no bath though even though there was enough space for one.

The hotel accomodation, pools and restaurants were all very good. Food at the restaurants were excellent. Service by all staff was professional and kind. We enjoyed the stay very much.
The disappointment was the beach, which did not have that much sand (for sandcastles building) and at low tide did not allow to swim very far from the shore.
With respect to the pools, there should be a policy for holding pool loungers (sunbeds) as many guests drop a towel and do not come to use them, leaving other guests without a place to lie down and enjoy.

An amazing stay

It was our first time staying there, we always had a sneak peek at the hotel from the neighbor hotel but now that was it. They still have an amazing offer for \"all-inclusive\" and they really mean all-inclusive. We had everything available from the main meals to drinks and snacks.
There is Seven Heights restaurant for all-day dining, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner as a buffet. There are six a la carte restaurants, most of them for dinner only, starting 6.30pm. But they cater for all tastes: Italian cuisine, Asian, Turkish (this is our favourite, we ate there twice), Seafood and Steakhouse. There are another 9 bars and outlets offering different services like a sports bar, coffee&tea house etc. Also, they are passing around the pool and beach icecream, fruits and sandwiches at certain hours.
Entertainment is for everyone and there is kids pool and Rixy Kids club (age 4-12 years), Aqua Pool and Teen's club (age 12-17 years). We haven't visited the kids club as the weather was very nice outside and the kids spent a lot of time at the swimming pool and at the aqua park.
Evening entertainment with a bit of theatre and musicals starts at 7.45pm for kids followed by the one for adults at 9.00pm. Amazing shows, we enjoyed them all.
We are 2 adults+2kids and we had one room, paid AED 2,500 for 2 nights all-inclusive. We did the reservation through @hotelsdotcom

Hugely disappointing

Overall, for the price we paid our stay was extremely disappointing. The place was chaotic and disorganised, with staff too busy and rushed off their feet to offer any level of decent service. We often got ignored, felt like we were annoying staff or simply did not receive what we had ordered.

It was meant to be all inclusive, but we had to fight to get any reservation in the a la carte restaurants and were regularly told that they were full and the buffet was open. The buffet food was APPALLING and far from 5 star, with the buffet area busy and unpleasant. When we got into the a la carte restaurants, they were good, but we didnt want to have to complain to get a reservation.

The snack bar food was some of the worst I've ever paid for, far worse than a McDonald's or other fast food. Processed, disgusting burgers with a few fries, literally, from what is meant to be a 5 star place.

In terms of COVID measures, there was nothing apart from masks. Areas were rammed full and not socially distanced, it was scary at times.

Room was fine, but nothing you wouldn't expect and did not override the issues we had. We had to make a total of 3 different complaints, as our initial complaints did not receive a promised call back from management. Shocking customer service and care for people paying a lot of their hard earnt money.

Would not recommend in any way, shape or form, unfortunately.

There should be two prices: with/without alcohol

Fun place for family/kids for a few nights, and all inclusive concept is good. However some drunk people getting carried away with the all inclusive, hotel was only at 50% capacity but still felt overcrowded especially at the buffet restaurant, and rooms are dated. There should be two prices, one for those who are drinking alcohol and another for those who do not want to drink alcohol.

One of the worst hotel experiences.

Terrible experience. The hotel is meant to be a 5 star but it is not even close to being 5 star it would be 3 at a push. The room we booked looked nothing like the pictures with stain on the carpets therefore had to pay for an upgrade. The restaurants require pre booking which we did as soon as we arrived to be told they were fully booked for the 2 days we were there. After begging the manager to provide us with at least 1 resturant to eat in during our 2 night stay he finally managed to get us into the meat point which was nice food, nothing compared to the main buffet resturant we had to eat in the night before which was stone cold and tasteless. No draught beer anywhere only canned beer, drinking from paper cups majority of the time, staff did not understand anything we asked them to solve our issues, TVs in the mojito bar was fuzzy so I had to go and watch the football in my room on my mobile phone, the lunch in the Italian resturant was terrible we were served ice burg lettuce with a few grey looking shrimps on the top, the hotel corridors are dark and gloomy, old fashioned furniture throughout the hotel, the toilets around the pool and resturant area are disgusting and not maintained well at all, the breakfast buffet was cold and bland and had to wait around 30 minutes to receive our coffees which when arrived were cold, no water sports were available which we wasn’t told at the time off booking, we were told we hadn’t paid a deposit which we did. Overall shocking.

It was a nice trip, good hotel ( room as 3-4 star ) amazing staff . Only my comment on the check in process where it starts late 3pm “ and takes an hour , so technically you would not have a chance to enter the room and access the pool before 4-30 to 5 Pm . Pool is over at 7 pm which means you loose the full day including the lunch of the entry day . What annoyed me that they are very strict for check out “ at 12 sharp latest 1 “ also they will not allow you to have a lunch on the check out day “ very bad as you also loose the lunch in the check in day due to the check in time” else, all was nice

Since my twin babies became restless during the dinner time, I requested the floor manager to help me with packing the food I have taken (to table) to the room. So that the food is not wasted and we can have dinner peacefully. But the Manager didn’t approved since the hotel doesn’t have the policy to take the food to room. But on the same night I saw another floor Manger Senthil who approved to prepare and take food for another’s toddler family to room. The waiting Saad who was helping us saw the same and he was very much supportive in helping us, but since his manager not approved, he couldn’t take a stand.

The hotel was crowded and seemed overbooked... Social distancing is not a thing in the hotel.. do not recommend during COVID time.
There was a huge line in the morning to grab breakfast.
The sink was clogged but was fixed quickly.

The only issue we had was the toilets in the room. Even our friends that we traveled together had the same issue. Seems the seating area is over size and round , this was the only issue we faced.

Tired Hotel and Poor Cleaning

This hotel is old and tired. King Suite had threadbare carpet, worn ripped curtains, poor lighting, a massive balcony that had not been cleaned so covered in sand and a kitchenette that didn't even have a single glass or cup.
All up this was well below the standard we expected for the price.
I do not intend to return.

3 stars hotel, old , ugly, smells bad, disgusting

One of the worst hotels i have been to, i am so so so disappointed that i have been fooled by pictures taken maybe 10 years ago. The hotel is old, the room are low cost, there was a bad smell and the all you can eat offer is not worth it. it ruined my weekend we even wanted to leave before the end of the stay which never happened. can't believe i paid 550 euro for this scam
