The Ritz experience truly amazes you. From the moment you step in, the staffs all address you by your name, which is truly amazing. The staffs are always ready to serve, with much enthusiasm even though some of them were working the night before. It was truly an amazing stay, made special by the staffs. Kudos to Ritz. We also booked a desert safari experience, which was excellently organized and added great value to the stay.
Private pool villas offer complete privacy, absolute peace, and comfort.
Impeccable cleanliness and top-tier quality of materials throughout the villa.
A truly one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be compared to standard luxury hotels.
Staff were highly professional and everything met exactly what I expect when staying at a hotel of this level.

Accommodation and food prices are on the higher side, but if you are looking for a memorable and unforgettable experience, this becomes secondary.

Disappointing Stay – In Need of Better Maintenance

We recently stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert and, unfortunately, were not impressed. The resort felt slightly scruffy and in need of better upkeep and maintenance.

Our accommodation—a tented villa with a private pool—was spacious and a nice feature, but it didn’t give us the “wow” factor we expected. Having previously stayed at a Ritz-Carlton in Thailand, which was immaculate, we found this resort lacking in comparison. Housekeeping was rushed, and dust had built up in several areas. Outdoor furniture was missing cushions, and the ones that were there had noticeable stains. Additionally, we noticed black mold under the outer edge of the tented roof and a broken fence post that needed painting.

The staff were polite and friendly, but the service didn’t meet the high standards we associate with the Ritz-Carlton brand. We were on a full-board package—breakfast was acceptable, but the dinner options across all three restaurants were underwhelming.

Ultimately, my wife and I enjoyed each other’s company and the privacy of our accommodation, but the resort itself fell short. It’s in need of a stronger maintenance program, and the rooms and exteriors could use refurbishment. Sadly, we wouldn’t return any time soon

Hello. I stayed 2 night to celebrate my husband’s birthday weekends. Overall it was great to stay in the villa and pool however disappointed that did not get pre information gym and restaurant on the construction. The gym is temporary small space to use which is disappointed it. Also only two restaurant available during i stay , very very disappointed it. Its in the middle of desert which is no where to go eat outside.
It would be nice to let guest know if anything not available during the stay.

Wish we would have stayed longer! We got to ride camels to a perfect sunset with two bottles of champagne! Followed by dinner in the desert! Absolutely the best dinner we had in Dubi! Wow! Moon light views! Chef was amazing enough food for 10 we were a party of 4!

Beautiful room, but not quite the experience.

Beautiful room but ok/standard ammenities and common areas. Service was attentive but only one person at reception, spa and cafe therefore sometimes longer than expected (not the typical Ritz experience). Activities must be reserved with time because they get full (wasn't advised this prior to arrival). Spa as well. Good experience because of room but not for the price that was paid for what was expected out of the experience.

The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert Unforgettable

I was looking for that memorable hotel experience for a staycation, you know the one that you could never do as a 20- to 40-year-old so I went all out for the Ritz-Carlton in Ras Al Khaimah. I always wondered if these luxury hotels really lived up to the hype (and the cost).
What I found out was if you want perfection in service from the moment you walk thru the foyer then this is the place to come, we were there for two nights and could have easily stayed on for at least a week. The villa was out of this world with private views into the desert with wildlife walking by pretty much continuously. Oryx, Gazelles and birds gave us a nature show every day from dawn to dusk as we floated around in our private infinity edge pool. We had private bicycles outside the villa or we could easily call for a golf cart to take us to a luxury breakfast or aperitifs on the roof top moon bar to watch the sun go down.
The breakfast is to die for with a house speciality “Eggs Benedict” which was a huge winner for me, but with so many other fresh options available on offer. The hotel itself can be described as the opulence and beauty with a huge dose of Arabic class, it meandering across a 500-hectare desert scape. We are in the Al Rimal Villas that are impressive, private and unforgettable, I have reviewed other hotels in the UAE none that are more quintessential eastern culture in nature. We would highly recommend the Ritz-Carlton

Great location but activities felt simple and basic. Never really got the feeling of being in the desert, all close it in the property and always signs if civilization around.
Honorable mention for the Kids Club: great organization, staff and quality. Not for the main pool that was so cold I didn’t see more than 2-3 people in it over 3 days stay (I went once... nearly froze to death). Pity as great setting and attentive staff, but broken thermometer for measuring water temperature 😬
Service is attentive but inconsistent; often not getting it right at the first shot but making up for it quickly and reactively.
A nice property just not meeting my expectations for the Ritz brand and too pricey for the final product / experience.

From misleading photos when we booked, to a pool that was 36 degrees, to repairs conducted for hours in our villa and many issues with housekeeping, this stay was terrible. When it was The Banyan tree it was great. We won’t stay here again.

Beautiful reserve , great place to relax as well as for the kids to enjoy the private pools and the bicycles . We enjoyed seeing the animals it gives a great feeling .

Checked in with no greeting and sat about having to approach a member of staff.
Didn’t tell me where to go.
No sanitizer offered upon arrival ... it was there but only on small table.
When we got to villa floor dirty / no glasses is bar area.
Room service came incorrect with items missing, when requested took 30 mins to bring items which were still incorrect:
Villa behind was blasting music so loud we had to complain.
We have our own villa and pool so we expected this place would be amazing ... if we wanted a roudy party vibe we would of gone elsewhere.
Breakfast slow and again things wrong / missing.
Cleanliness of room poor. Things were not cleaned / sanitized.
Staff nice and we had a desert dinner which I must say was lovely.
Nice villa but not worth the money.

They have still to charge correct amount also ... and deduct the check in deposit

What a unique and beautiful property! But what touched us most was the wonderful 6 star service staffs! The staffs constantly overindulged our children with complimentary juices, candies and genuine care. The private pool overlooked the desert with wild animals and it was temperature controlled. The tented villa was spacious and extravagant. Special thanks to Jihya and Jeff. We came as guests and left feeling that we made friends.

Was a nice stay however when we received a wrong letter (having the name of other hotel customers) from the management wishing us a great stay we complained to the hotel management and their action was to send someone to pick the letter up and not even send us a correct one or apologise, a day later the hotel called us to ask how is our stay and upon complaining about that issue they didn’t try to rectify it or even apologise, so what’s the point of trying to ask about someone’s experience when you can’t even do something about it? Other than that the service could be improved, that being said the rest of the stay was pleasant.

Amazing!!! We came to the Ritz Al Wadi for 1 night only as we were in Dubai prior to arriving for work & a wedding. Everything about this resort is stunning, from the lobby to the outside desert area. Room was amazing and the private pool was a lovely extra. Staff, food, spa were fabulous. Had the most awful weekend at the hotel. The hotel doesn't not have Ritz service and facilities as they have take over from Banyan tree and have not fix the villas and service is very bad. We had to change 3 villas in 2 night stay as all the rooms had major problems. We traveled with 2 kids and i have to say that this hotel is not kid friendly at all.

We went for our aniversary for 2 nights and was a terrible experience,,, the service in the hotel doesent exist,, our pool was dirty,not menu to order room service,, you request this and toke o1 1/2 to bring, you order somenthing to the room and aleays takes 1 hour , the food is not good , and even in the only restaurant you have to wait 35 min to recibe a coke,,,, a complet desaster hotel and expensive

One of the best in the region but...

Great hotel going through a transition to a new operating company (Ritz Carlton). Staff was great and the experience is outstanding, but there's quite a bit of work to do to get up to the standards that I expect of Ritz (and they expect from themselves). I expect to see big changes over the next year and look forward to my next visit!

Good overall. Service in Al Waha restaurant (main one) was slow, time taken to get menu, bread basket etc even when not that busy but food was decent portions and flavour once it arrived. Staff very friendly. I believe this is becoming a Ritz Carlton shortly so maybe things are winding down as banyan tree which might explain why some room fittings like broken curtain strings, cracked toilet seat, silver paint coming off bathtub plug have not been attended to at present. I think the sister beach resort is closing for 6 months of renovations next month by Ritz. Bikes were good addition as quite a distance to get around the resort, great oryx and wildlife roaming around. Less welcome wildlife was the fly problem, i must have had 50 or so on the pool deck, so annoying, they should issue each room with these electric tennis racket swatters but guess is because of the horse stables, camel and other wildlife around. Privacy could be improved around the pools, there is evidence there used to be material stretched between them but these have now gone from most so is a short wall left now allowing neighbours to look in if they tiptoe. But overall we had a great time.
