Le seul bémol; le personnel en salle à manger, soit vous avez de la chance au dîner et vous êtes servis par le meilleur serveur qui soit, soit vous tomber sur un individu qui agit comme un robot qui n’a pas l’option sourire en force ou une espèce de Matrone au déjeuner qui court tout le temps!!! Un aspect qui est franchement inacceptable dans ce genre d’établissement.

How this hotel was accredited with 5 stars is beyond comprehension. Some of the staff are totally disinterested in offering an acceptable level of customer service.
Unfortunately I risked lunch in the bar area. The salad was part frozen. Who freezes tomato?
Book at your peril.

I do not recommend

The room had a very unpleasant smell, as if the carpet had never been washed. Very small shower. Breakfast was awful, cold, unappetizing scrambled eggs that took a very long time to arrive. None of the waiters in the restaurant spoke English, is this really the standard for a Grand Hotel? The situation was saved by a very polite employee from the reception and a beautiful view.

We stayed again at Thermes before our morning boat back to the UK.
The many direction boards to locate the hotel are particularly helpful.
All went well as usual and we'll return next time .

Lovely resort-feel hotel.

Beautiful resort, right on the water. The rooms were lovely - LOTS of space, great air conditioning, roomy bathroom with good lighting, and a separate toilet closet. The beds were very firm, but could easily be overlooked because of all the other nice features! Staff was friendly and helpful. Lively bar scene, with nice (complimentary!) snacks.

The hotel looks very nice, the bar overlooking the sea-beach is very cozy and invites you to be there.
The rooms are small, and the bathrooms are old and small. Towels are not of the hotel standard.
To go to your room you have to take at least two elevators.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic location right on the beach and in walking distance of the St Malo walls and a local centre. Friendly staff, great ( huge) spa facilities and really comfortable rooms. Parking also easy which is not the case closer to the centre.

Seaside relaxation in full effect. Spa, beach, historic location... what more can you ask for? The service is excellent and the room was cozy. The coast offers cooler temperatures in the summer and being right on the beach means there’s plenty to do for the little ones. We will be back.

Great Ocean Front Hotel

Get a ocean facing room and the view is fantastic and you can leave the window open a bit to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The room was in good condition except for slow drainage in shower. The staff are very helpful and polite. The check-in personnel spoke English as did some of the wait staff in the restaurant. We ate at the Cape Horn restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. The only negative is a pet peeve of mind, which is having to pay for parking when you already paid good money for a room.

The bed was terrible.
My daughter left a suff toy in the bed room i call 2 times and wrote a mail and never heard from them , i clearly ask them I needed them to send the toy to Paris and I gave them my hotel in Paris ... no response !!

I did not realize this hotel was known for its spa and aquatonic pool area. I've never seen anything like this. For an extra €20 per person per day, you can use their 15 station salt water pool/ jacuzzi. Each station focuses on a different part of the body. For example lower back /middle back /hips /neck/shoulders! Definitely try this, especially if you have been touring a lot as we have ! I took 40 min to do the stations, but you can do it for shorter or for longer. There are two areas just to hang out and chill-Not as hot as American Jacuzzis so you can stay in a long time, And be comfortable The spa treatments were booked, so we did not try them .

Stinky hotel , don't stay there

We checked in for 2 days.when we were escorted to our room we through a smelly foyer with a stagnant stench . The carpet is totally stained . We spent the first night with absolutely no air conditioning functioning . Being a patient person , I suffered through the night and advised the housekeeper and the front desk that we had no AC .We returned to the room late afternoon and the reception told us everything was working properly . It was still not working , the maintenance people had left and the management wanted to move us to another room for the 2nd night .
I became upset when the manager offered us breakfast the following morning after having been inconvenienced for 2 days . I refused the offer on principle , considering that we were paying $400 a night for the room . I will never return .

We stopped at the Hotel les Thermes for one night, travelling from Cherbourg to Vendee.
The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were very professional.
We would stay again.
The only negative was the awkwardness we experienced from the more mature swimmers, when we entered the swimming pool with our 2 year old.

Great location on the beach at St Malo. Staff generally very helpful. We had to ask for
facecloths as they were not provided. The bath towels are ridiculously small and thin. The cooked breakfast was very tasty but spoiled by being less than warm and served on cold
plates. Apart from that, we greatly enjoyed our stay and will go back again.

FANTASTIC LOCATION, GREAT ROOM, SPA EXTRAS

As our three-week trip to France was coming to an end, we splurged at this spa-type hotel for two nights. A great find--a grand old European beachfront hotel spa services, including some amenities free to all hotel guests. We took advantage of the steam hammam and the saltwater therapy tub with high-pressure jets that sprayed streams of warm water on different parts of the body. There were indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, and it was fine to walk around the hotel in your robe and slippers. Our room was in a modern addition to the hotel, and it was newly refurbished and well-designed with a balcony, plenty of lighting and outlets for our electronics, lots of practical storage space, good wifi, and a separate WC. Service was what you'd expect in a luxury hotel. We paid an extra charge to garage our car, and when we wanted it, the concierge brought it up for us and then parked it when we came back. One caution: This is a beachfront hotel that is a brisk 20-minute walk along the seawall to the Saint Malo town center, a World Heritage Site well worth a few hours of exploration. We ate restaurants outside the hotel, but the hotel has three restaurants. We had the breakfast on our final morning, and it offered a lot of variety.

We spent three nights at the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and unusually for a French hotel we had a mini bar and tea/ coffee making facilities. However there was no milk and only a two sachets of instant coffee were provided each day. The shower room was good but slightly dated. The hotel had a good location right on the promenade and a 20 minute walk to the old town. Le Cap Horn restaurant was excellent as was the beach bar restaurant la Terrace but we found the bar upstairs to lack atmosphere and style.
The swimming pool was heated salt water and was a nice temperature. It was relatively quiet and a decent size. There was a small unisex changing area (some cubicles) beside the pool which was not quite what we were expecting. We also had to find our own towels in a cupboard in the corridor and were treated with disinterest by the pool attendant. When swimming you also have to wear blue and white caps - these are provided in the hotel rooms and it was fortunate that we had brought them down to the pool. We did not use the spa.
When we left we were surprised to have been charged for breakfast as we had booked room only and had not eaten in the mornings. The hotel did, however, refund our money when we pointed this out. I would advise anyone planning a stay to check their bill carefully.

We booked a city-view room, but for some reason (?), we were up-graded to a sea-view room which was large, beautiful, clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful & efficient whether it was for valet car service or special requests such as an ironing board. The hotel is located at the begining of the promenade that lets you stroll sea-side directly to the old town. Very nice stay!

All in all I thought the hotel was beautiful and perfectly situated on the sea front. I personally loved the 1.5 mile promenade into the old town but can see that if you have difficult walking it may be a little far.The room was small but very comfortable and impeccably clean.My only complaint is the cost of the breakfast which at over 20 euros is excessively high for a meal that is traditionally the smallest of the day. I know I could have eaten more if I'd wanted but I'm not prepared to gorge myself to ridiculous levels just to get value out of my meal. As such this price for 2 mini croissants, a bowl of fruit salad and a coffee felt a little steep. I'd therefore recommend that you enjoy the rest of the hotel but wander into the walled town for a leisurely breakfast instead.

Nice hotel with a great location and wonderful views. We had a water front room that was fantastic and enjoyed St. Malo very much but thought the hotel was over rated. The staff was a bit stuffy and the hotel showed signs of needing updates. I would give it a solid 4 stars but not 5.

Not a Family Hotel more like a Care home

We booked the hotel expecting a room like in the Adverts , but what we got was a small room no bigger then a cupboard looking into a corner of the building .When we tried to use the pool as shown in all the advertising we were told that we had to pay 19 euros each per day! The Gym was no bigger then a small bedroom and only opened at 9.00am and with breakfast ending at 10.15 meant you could not exercise then go to breakfast .No atmosphere in this hotel with very little to do the bar area or evenings and the entertainment was a piano player who only done short stints . For what the 4 days cost including travel food etc we could have gone all enclusive at a top class hotel in Tenerife with flights incuded !!

Hotel bien agréable, bien situé en bord de mer. Personnel sympathique et présent. Le spa est plaisant notamment ce parcours aquatonic. Deux bémols: les chambres sont assez petites et le prix du petit déjeuner est exorbitant en rapport aux produits servis. Nous le prenions dans le passé (2 ou 3 précédents séjours) mais cette fois-ci, non, nous allions à l'extérieur.

nous avons effectué un séjour très agréable.
les prestations sont à la hauteur, cependant un peu trop de monde au spa le samedi.
Le personnel très accueillant et poli.
Concernant la restauration , je conseille le Cap Horn le midi pour la vue sur la mer et la Verrière le soir.
Je recommande cet hôtel pour une belle parenthèse à St Malo.

Très beau séjour dans cet hôtel que nous aimons beaucoup. Quelques points à améliorer toutefois: la chambre n'avait pas malheureusement le standing d'un hôtel 5 étoiles. La salle de bain comportait des traces de moisissure et la décoration était défraîchie. Nous avions séjourné dans la partie plus récente l'année dernière et avons été surpris que la partie dite 'historique' n'était pas rénovée au même standard que l'autre section.
De plus, je crois que pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, il devrait y avoir une option 'early check-in'. Ce dernier est toujours très compliqué à cet hôtel, comme ils nous font attendre jusqu'à la dernière minute possible pour prendre possession de la chambre. Cela est irritant.
Le petit déjeuner était très bon et le parcours Aquatonic un incontournable. Je crois toutefois que ce dernier devrait être gratuit pour les clients de l'hôtel.
