I chose this place since it’s relatively close to CCP.

First thing, checking in (for an executive room) took 1 HOUR initially, only for the staff to tell me there are no available rooms. I approached the staff and was told to wait for 30 minutes for cleaning, 30 minutes passed, they told me the room is still being cleaned. After 2 hours, they led me to a room without a tub, which is apparently my online request. They told me that only some executive rooms have a tub, contrary to what they market here in Expedia (there are photos of a bath tub in the hotel gallery) which I wish should’ve been clarified more. I could’ve went to a better hotel instead.

The room is not soundproof. Room smells like smoke, there are small cockroaches inside the bathroom. There are no room slippers available. Noisy air conditioning unit. Breakfast is mid.

My worst hotel experience to date. Will never book here again. Not worth the price I paid.

We were placed at 7th floor, however there were few issues, such as WiFi not accessible, water in the shower was so slow, bathtub was slippery- anti-slip mat would be very useful as I slipped whilst getting into the tub, and fixtures need upgrade.

Horrible, ended by paying extras due to reception mishap to grab driver. Room has outdated air conditioning system so had to bear with constant noise. There is an extra charge for additional service like additional pillow etc, simply not acceptable especially in hospitality arena. Breakfast has limited choices of western and continental options - the worst I had experienced. Room has no carpet and it’s all tiles - shocking. Hot water in shower is not really a hot water. WiFi is not workable in the rooms.

Overall it was a great stay specially the hotel customer service. I like the hotel building external classic spanish style architecture and the swimming pool general picturesque looks/design.. There are some minor flaws most likely because this is old building. Like there is not enough power outlet plugs -- the coffee pot I have to plug in the outlet in the washroom sink, hard to close the shower door handle from the inside of the shower stall you could close it when your outside the stall but if you are inside taking a shower, it's impossible to do so

The lobby is small but fine. It is a bit presentable than the room I stayed in. Front desk guy was welcoming when I checked in late night from the airport. There was a helpful guard and another guy staff that assisted me.

In the morning, a young lady from front desk was not welcoming. I was even the one who greeted her first, she seemed still tired or not ready for the day. Security guards were attentive.

It is small hotel, an old house turned into hotel. The room is very old. The paint is old. There is an old tv, old telephone, old tiny fridge. The bed is old. The bed sheets and pillow cases old. Old, dark, even the smell. Nothing exciting. Everything old. Old blinds. Slum area view from outside. Broken window.

Restaurant was not available when I checked in. It opens in the morning and closes afternoon. if you are coming late no food for you. I starved the entire night. I tried to search for online food delivery which was also terrible. I ordered the next day. It was okay yet a bit pricey for the serving. was introduced to be good for two but not.

The picture shown on post is deceiving.

My experience.. not so exciting..although I was able to get through the nights waiting for my COVID 19 test result.

Petite déception cet Orchid garden. Durant cette crise du covid, nous l'avons choisi parce que l'hotel était accrédité par l'Office du Tourisme.

Notre chambre 'superior' est grande et au calme, c'est bien.
Mais à notre arrivée, la propreté laisse a désirer : un peu de poussière, trace de gecko (merde) sur les draps de lits. De plus, pas d'articles de toilette, pas de bouteilles d'eau. Une bouilloire et des tasses sont prévues mais pas de café, ni thé.
La climatisation est vraiment bruyante.
Choix très basique de chaînes sur la télévision.
Positif, la wifi est excellente, très bien.

La salle de bains est minuscule, impossible de l'utiliser à 2 personnes en même temps.
Positif, l'eau de la douche est bien chaude.

Autre problème, le coin business dans le lobby est fermé et nous laissons imprimer par la reception 4 feuilles en N/B depuis un PDF. Prix demandé 220 pesos, un vrai hold-up!!!! Une honte.
La piscine est vide, peut-être a cause du covid.
Bref, expérience assez mitigée qui implique que je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

Stayed here for 5 nights, overall very satisfying ... good and friendly staff, get early check in as well, we didn't had breakfast in our room rate, but from earlier stays here, it's good and over average. They only thing is that there is only one lift, they have already installed a new one, and i think one more is coming. The wifi is among the strongest, i have experience in hotel's in Manila, I will definitely stay here again, next time i'm in Manila, and the rate's are within my budget.

I arrived about three hours earlier than the check-in time, but since my room was already available I was allowed to have an early check-in with no extra charges. My room was on the sixth floor and had a great panoramic view of the surrounding area. The room was clean with complimentary bottled waters, dental stuff, slippers, and clean beddings. It was just perfect for my taste. However, I woke up early morning about 3am to a blaring music with cacophonous sounds coming from people. At first I thought it was from the neighborhood. I tried to ignore the sound, but after an hour and my sleep was already affected I called up the operator and complained to them about the sounds and how. It turned out that some hotel guests were in the veranda in the wee hours having the time of their lives and making sounds oblivious of the other occupants of the hotel. I think there should be a policy about the use of the hotel facilities in the wee hours.

Upgraded my room to the 11th floor. Nice amenities. Wifi speed in the lobby is good. Wifi on the 11th floor is very poor, almost useless. Staff is friendly, helpful. LOCATION- It's a walk away from a small mall/commercial complex and CCP, it's accessible because orange cabs, taxis, and the new Senate buses pass by the street.

It's a decent hotel for people on a budget. We'll surely stay here again when we have something to do in the area.

We always book our guests at Orchid Garden Suites because of its homey ambiance. We also like their breakfast. The food was great ! The staff are also helpful. They even upgraded the room of our guest. The bed was comfortable too and airconditioning was functioning well.

I was booked in another hotel but due to Chinese New Year, The Chinese took my room and ended up to this hotel which am satisfied. The other hotel is out of nightlife. The ambiance was so acquaint because of so many green and huge mango tree. It has a nice Cafe and good breakfast. I would book and stay again in the future but prefer a much larger room.

The buffet breakfast was nice and had a variety of foods. The only negative is that the floor was very dirty in the room. Being a smoking floor I think it needed a mopping as our feet were black within minutes.

This is the only hotel in manila that i have been that don't accommodate this kind of situation considering with the rate that they have. I do hope you would change this policy especially if there are available rooms.

But I really do like Cafe Alicia, especially with the customize egg request in the buffet area. It's one of the a kind.

WE STAYED FOR A NIGHT WITH THE WHOLE FAMILY IN TWO ADJACENT FAMILY ROOMS. MY FAMILY ENJOYED THE BREAKFAST BUFFET AS WELL AS THE DINNER WE ORDERED. Wonderful and comfortable 3 nights stay. Housekeeping and Restaurant staff were very hospitable and friendly. Hotel lobby and restaurant have the ambience of the 20-30's era with a modern touch!!! Food was excellent and the Breakfast Buffet was absolutely a big hit!!! The hotel is centrally located to everywhere you want to go. The experience was simply great.....really only 2 draw backs as they need to clean the pool daily & run it through a filter more often then they did, simply cause of the plants around it....the atmosphere the hotel creates if fabulous....the food from the restaurant is fabulous.....the staff is absolutely FANTASTIC....from the people at the desk...to the food service....housekeeping everyone.....they are great...the room had only one draw back & the was the shower as it is a hand held.....but with a few minor adjustments it can be taken care of ....but overall one of the best hotels I have stayed in....

Hotel that you can't actually Sleep in = Horrible

The hotel was mostly as expected from my research. Pretty old and out of date, but clean and they have a AC, pool and restaurant etc so it was fine from a \"not expecting too much for this price\" point of view.

The real problem was the elevator. I don't understand how this hotel could be in business with this elevator system for the past 30 years or however old it is. The \"ding\" that the elevator is arriving is an actual bell being hit by a striker by the sounds of it. This means it is is high pitched and the sound carries through the all tile hallways perfectly. Combine that with thin doors/walls and what you get is basically a audio torture chamber of a hotel room. Sitting there watching TV with the AC blaring on high, you can still hear the bell perfectly every 20 seconds.

Now, I know you are thinking, \"every 20 seconds\", how is that possible, this guy is a raving lunatic. No, believe me, it is sometimes even more often than that during the busy times of day when the elevator is used often. The bell rings when either of the 2 elevators stops at ANY floor. Maybe the bell is on the 5th floor where I was staying and people can't hear it so much on other floors? But from what I could tell there was multiple bells as there were slightly louder/quieter rings. I think they just echo up/down the elevator shaft and out into the hallways that well.

Anyways, the point is trying to sleep is impossible with a high-pitched bell dinging, even every hour or so (twice) in the middle of

Manila boutique hotel in great location

We stayed at the Orchard Garden Suites on two separate occasions. Each time we stayed, the rooms were great for two adults & 1 teenager. Internet access was good and reliable and its staff were excellent. Good value and excellent service compared a number of other hotels we stayed at while in the Philippines for over a month.

It's a good and inexpensive alternative to hotels in the heart of Manila.

The stay was pleasant, even though it occurred during the busiest days of the year - the transition to New Year (I understand the hotel was fully booked). The staff went out of their way to be of assistance. There were some understandable delays, and the staff were prompt in informing us of the possibility of delays due to the full booking.

Worst Hotel with no parking

It was a very disappointing experienced for my family. When we booked it was indicated that there will be free parking, but when we checked in there's none. Front desk did not do anything to get us parking instead they said that the free parking was a \"first come, first serve basis\" which did not indicated on the booking and hotel details. I ended parking my car in the street. There's no effort on the front desk personnel to give me a slot or help on where to park.

The rate was also a SCAM. We booked around P2,800 a night but when we arrived the tarp posted in front of the hotel was a big P1,999 a night only.

Worst bed ever! Don't stay if u intend on sleeping

I was excited to stay at this boutique looking smaller hotel. I really wanted to like it.The place looks nice enough from the outside and lobby, but the rooms do not match. Richard the kindly bellman was the only plus staying here. The ac worked well, but the fridge was not clean. Very basic furnishings, but honestly, the worst bed I've ever slept in. Hard, lumpy, plastic-covered mattress, and weird slick plastic-y pillows that the cases kept slipping off during the night. I had such a terrible night's sleep, I checked out before 8 am the next day, even though I had booked AND PAID for additional nights! I could not bear to stay another hour! Both when I called down saying I was checking out early, and when i was at the desk turning my key in and again said my departure was premature, they didn't seem to care and did not even inquire why? Unless you are used to camping on plastic tarps, don't bother with Orchid Garden Suites.

I chose the hotel because of its location. I had business to finish so I picked the nearest affordable hotel. Unexpectedly, the place was really clean despite its relatively old structure and furniture. The staff were great and accommodating, the linen and towels were clean, and the room ambiance is comfy and homey. They even have free ride to MOA. All in all, my experience was position and I would come back for sure.

Great staff and friendly. Accomodating. Although the facilities are quite old but clean. Only drawback is the location of the aircon which is low... i suggest to put it on a higher place. The rooms need renovation especially the bathroom and shower.

it could have been a better stay

this hotel is very close to malls which should be attractive to travellers who would love to do a lot of shopping and eating/dining. however, the nearest mall has seen better days while the other one that is not that near is a melting pot of people from all ages and walks of life.
the hotel altho old is quite well maintained. however, the linens and towels need replenishment/refurbishing. the staff is amiable. however, their supposedly free transportation to the not quite near mall needs to be upgraded cuz as of now, it's service sked is only going once in the morning and one pick up in the afternoon. i have stayed in other hotels in MM and similar service is more accommodating.

Nice hotel - I stay there again ;-)

Weekend stay over in Manila, nice quiet hotel... good service from staff, cosy place for breakfast, but could keep open until 10.30am in weekends, not only 9.30am.

Staffs were courteous, clean rooms and comfortable size (four of us). Reception area very presentable, even my friend who pick us up was impress of this little jewel that is hidden inside a metropolitan Manila. Close to all, buffet selection is not much, but doable. Would recommend to friends. Definitely will come back and stay with them.

Great location with helpful staff

I've booked an Executive Suite which is very spacious with simple decoration. Great location with helpful staff. Walking distance to the zoo and Harrison Plaza for dining. Dishes and cups are provided in the pantry, but it willl be more convenient if there has a microwave.
