Great location and very convenient for a short stay. It’s within walking distance to a range of restaurants, and having McDonald’s, Coles and Big W nearby made everything really easy.

The beds were comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. However, the room itself felt quite run down and had a noticeable “old” smell. Cleanliness could definitely be improved as there was visible dust build-up and even some lolly wrappers left in the corners.

Overall, a convenient spot in terms of location, but the rooms would benefit from a refresh and more attention to detail when it comes to cleaning.

IThe room was old and musty. Very worn and shabby. The room smelt funny and the stair way smelt of cigarette smoke.

Did not feel safe walking in the area during the late afternoon.

We did not end up staying the night as the condition of the room was questionable and we didnt feel safe.

The room I received was spacious, I wasnt expecting such a nice room, and bathroom had a spa bath. Bed was comfortable and good fluffy towels in very good condition. Clean room, great view of street outside and can see the shops across the road

I always stay here for business trips - clean and comfortable. A bit dated, but I always get a ground floor room - has a little courtyard (which as a smoker I love). Plenty of places to eat and close to shops.

Outside the room in the stairwell and outside walking areas was really dirty - cigarette buts, mud and dust under the steps that looked like it had been there for years. It was pretty bad for something that could be so very easily cleaned. They had no pride in their business - would never go there again.

Very convenient location close to town. Check in was a text with a code for the door- worked well. Bed comfortable. TV older, not all channels available and sound cut in and out continuously which was annoying. Could hear people in room above me walking around lucky for me they weren’t too noisy and it was ok. Would stay again.

For when you just need a bed, this motel is central and affordable. It’s clean and looks like they are doing upgrades. Out of hours check in was super easy - PIN number sent to your phone for the door lock and straight in. Heater was on and of course the electric blanket was required for Ballarat. The cars hooning outside didn’t bother me once I was asleep.

Were there for 3 nights, reception closed for 3 days!! One of our keys did not work phoned the number on reception door was told he would not be coming in and to use the pass number!!
Carpets on stair ripped which is a tripping hazard, very unwelcoming and unfriendly environment. Would not recommend.

It looks really good from outside and spacious. However, I would have given 0 for cleanliness. Carpets have never been steam cleaned and soles of our feet were black from dirty carpets. Chairs and sofa were unsafe to sit as they were broken.

I don’t even know where to begin with how disastrous my stay was at this establishment. I had specifically booked a room with two queen beds and a kitchenette, but upon arrival, I found that the room had been swapped without any prior notice.

When I arrived around 3:30 pm, reception was completely unmanned. I was left stranded, making countless phone calls over the course of 25 minutes before finally reaching someone. Even then, they gave me the incorrect door code twice, further wasting my time and patience. When I finally got through to the person on the phone, they had the audacity to suggest canceling my reservation, despite me having just driven 700 kilometers to get there. After insisting I needed my room, I was given a room that was entirely different from what I had booked.

Instead of the two queen beds I had reserved, the room contained a single bed and a king bed. There was no proper kitchenette—just a microwave and a toaster, which made it impossible to cook. As a result, I had to eat out, which cost me significantly more than expected.

To make matters worse, the bathtub/hot tub was completely inoperable because the faucet was missing, and the room itself was clearly not cleaned properly. Adding insult to injury, the pool area was shut down without any prior notice, which was one of the reasons I had chosen this location.

The hotel room does not meet the expectations set by the 'Comfort Inn' name. There are several issues:

1.The carpet has a large, unsightly black mark.
2.There are no curtains for the bathtub, which affects privacy.
3.There is only one small bottle of shampoo provided, which is insufficient for 4 people.

These problems detract from the overall comfort and quality that one would expect from a hotel branded as the 'Comfort Inn'. I would hope the hotel management addresses these shortcomings to provide a more satisfactory guest experience.\"

Great quick check in. We were just staying one night on the way to Tullamarine airport in Melbourne.
A spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Bloomin' luxury with the electric blanket as it was a chilly day! The view was lovely and we also appreciated the blinds at night time.
I didn't indulge in the hot tub but it was extremely tempting!
We loved the easy walking proximity to resturants and shopping. Desi Vibes fed us amazing Indian cuisine.
We would love to return and explore more of Ballarat.

This was a great place to stay in a really convenient location close to restaurants. Huge room, really well appointed, fabulous bathroom. Only negative is that all the windows were filthy and various parts of the room were dusty. Bed was super comfortable and clean. Check in was easy (didn’t see any staff the whole time I was there). I felt secure in the room and it was easy to park. Given it’s location it was really quiet. I really liked that there was cutlery provided, it really helped me with both dinner and breakfast!

Room was really pleasant to stay in - air conditioning made the 36° day last week actually bearable, the room was way bigger than I thought it would be,
the windows let in a lot of natural light which was really nice, the bed was really comfortable to sleep in, I had a large desk with a lamp that I could utilise and a large kitchen table with comfortable chairs was better quality than most places I have stayed at.

Really liked the place and felt welcomed and greatful to the kindness of the staff for being so accomidating towards me and my multiple extensions stays

The staff are really kind, approachable and accommodating to individuals and their circumstances.

The flexibility in their approach to customers and allowing for things like late check ins after reception is closed is noted and appreciated.

An online chat support option exists to assist those with questions/help needed who are apprehensive or unable to safely talk on the phone at that moment so can't do it themself but that person on the chat box helping you actually calls the reception on your behalf to make arrangements or answer your questions!
I was so surprised and so greatful at the consideration and convenience of that unique option provided by Comfort Inn that I've not come across before at other venues.

The cleaners left dirty dishes in the sink, and no liquid to clean them. The reception times on web site are incorrect. Several bags of dirty laundy left at the bottom of the stairs for the 2 day stay we had. The pool advertised is closed AND our room was double booked we had a stanger enter our room at 7pm as he was told this was his room number by Reception.
