The reception, bar and restaurant were modern, clean and great environment. However, the cost of food and drink were particularly over priced. Couple this with having to pay 19 Euros for breakfast, 8 euros to use the pool - I honestly suspected I would get charged to use the toilet in my room at some point during the stay. The evening staff were not as friendly as the morning staff. We ended up venturing out for food due to price and experience, and managed to find a great local Asian restaurant - a 5 minute walk from the hotel - just be prepared for a hilly walk back up to the hotel!

If you are staying in this hotel you must have dinner there, it was fantastic, husband had steak and I had pork, we are still talking about it now.... please note if your English they do not provide tea and coffee in the room but were kind enough to let us have a kettle... I take tea everywhere with me....lol

Convenient hotel for visiting Breisach. Built on a hill, so slightly awkward layout. Reasonable choice in the restaurant. Check-in was at 3pm, but we arrived early, and were able to leave our luggage, which was good.

The desk service people were excellent. The place is run down and needs some refreshing, but it was clean and comfortable. Considering the excellent price I got with booking.com and the location, I’d stay there again.

The electronic sun shade in balcony is broken so hotel put an umbrella but can't shade as good as the normal shade. The room is aged even though show a sign of good maintenance. Have a good view over the river.

Worth a visit.

Great views over the Rhine and the dog was no problem for them. Local town small but loads to see. Very close to Colmar and Kaysersberg. Hotel was great but breakfast was a little expensive. Hotel close to local town which has lots of restaurants of all nationalities.

4-star Hotel in a Remote Location

The hotel is located at the top of a small hill and have several buildings. We were somewhat confused in finding our rooms which could only be reached after passing different passages and changing of elevators inside the hotel. We arrived in late evening and had difficulty in filling our stomachs because the hotel restaurant closed before 10pm and there were only bars for drink in the local area. The hotel restaurant had a terrace overlooking the Rhine River but there were not much to be seen. We selected this hotel for close proximity to our next destination to the old city of Basel. But we were a bit disappointed that it was quite time consuming in reaching this hotel through many small roads and streets even we were equipped with GPS navigation. Nevertheless, our room facing the Catholic Church was clean and quiet for a comfortable stay. There were sufficient free parking spaces around the hotel.

The hotel is in an excellent location and very clean. The staff were all helpful and friendly. My only suggestion would be that some tea/coffee making facilities could be put into the guest bedrooms and possibly a mini fridge or bar as there was no room service available and the bar does not appear to open on Sunday evening.

Private balcony overlooking the Rhine

Breisach is an interesting little town, definitely worth visiting. The hotel is located next to the cathedral on a hill above the town and is constructed so that the rooms have private balconies with a view of the Rhine. You cannot see your neighbors, just the view. I had a single room which was definitely small but very well designed I’ve had much larger rooms that were less comfortable.I liked the town and the hotel so much that I tried to rearrange my schedule to stay longer.Service, breakfast, and wi-fi were all terrific.

Shut it down and start over; this place is a joke!

From desk clerks overly concerned with their own safety ... she came to my replacement room with a hotel security goon lurking in the background, just to pick up the room key card from the first filthy room she had given me ... a totally unnecessary and insulting action from all aspects ... to broken lock chains on the doors, elevators that don't work, cleaning personel blind to the obvious, facilities in need of repairs, the list could go on and on. The building is an ugly modern structure in the midst of cobble stone streets and across from a Romanesque/Gothic cathedral, this hotel sticks out and not in a positive way. To get to the room on day one, it was necessary to descend three flights, walk down a long hallway lined with unused furniture to a second elevator, there to ascend three or more flights, depending upon the room number, to your room. Try doing that when one or both elevators are out of order! During the journey to your room, there is a view of the empty indoor pool and a filthy with cigarette butts place with broken furniture to lie out in the sun. How inviting! They should try vacuuming the halls and actually cleaning the bathroom floors! One last thing: if you decide to be out until after the reception desk is closed, supposedly your room card can be used to open the locked front door of the hotel. It doesn't work, so guests are forced to wander around the parking garage below the hotel, trying all the doors to find the magic one. What a dump!

A nice hotel with stunning views

The hotel was lovely in a picturesque setting and the staff were extremely friendly and provided an impressive level of customer service. The food was also delightful, the only drawback was the lack of Wifi in rooms although High Speed Internet Access was available for your laptop. All in all a nice hotel with lovely staff and food.

Keine Begrüßung, nur Hinweis das das Zimmer erst ab 15.00 verfügbar ist.
Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber ok.
Außer dem Wunsch nach einem guten Heimweg keine Verabschiedung. Spa kostet extra. Keine citycard bekommen. Zimmer wird nur alle zwei Tage gereinigt.
Preis Leistung nicht gerechtfertigt.
Highlight die asiatische Frühstücks Mitarbeiterin die jeden Morgen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend war.

Das Hotel liegt auf dem Münsterberg und bietet einen schönen Ausblick auf den Rhein und nach Frankreich. Auf der anderen Seite des hotels liegt der sehr schöne St. Stephansmünster. Der Wellnessbereich ist modern und komfortabel. Dieser ist leider nicht bei allen Angeboten im Preis enthalten.

Hôtel bien situé. Pas de climatisation dans la chambre double confort.
La décoration des chambres et de l’hôtel sont dépassés. L’hôtel manque d’entretien (des ampoules HS un peu partout même à la piscine toute neuve).
La piscine et le spa rénovés sont superbes.
Restaurant trop chère.
Le Bar de l’hôtel est très bien.
Le petit déjeuner buffet est très bien.

Das Restaurant war soweit schön. Außer man könnte Mal wieder die Fenster putzen. In den Zimmern sollte man auch Mal was machen ( Tapete löst sich von den Wänden, Licht im Bad und im Schlafbereich sollte mal repariert werden.
Und das Servicepersonal war zwar freundlich aber es gehört richtig geschult ( wie ein guter Service Ablauf geht).
Das Essen war naja ( Kartoffelsuppe war gut aber der Rest vom Buffet hat zu wünschen übrig gelassen) Grad wenn ehemalige Mitarbeiter vom Hotel zu Besuch sind.

La chambre était spatieuse avec de la moquette au sol et un coin salon comptenant une table, un canape et un fauteuil. Le carrelage de la salle de bain etait un peu daté mais tout était tres propre. L'espace sauna etait formidable. Plusieurs types de sauna pour plusieurs envies. L'hôtel nous a fourni tout le necessaire : claquette, peignoir et serviette en plus.
La piscine est tres propre et agréable. Les personnes à l'accueil ont été tres sympathiques et accueillantes. Le buffet du petit dejeuner était gourmand avec un choix varié de mets sucrés et salés.
Nous avons passé un excellent sejour dans l'hôtel, situé idéalement pour faire les marchés de noël en alsace.

Très bel hôtel avec un excellent petit-déjeuner très très varié, vraiment excellent. L'hôte bénéficie d'une super vue car il est sur une colline. Nous n'avons pas testé la piscine et le spa mais c'est claire un bel atout pour cet hôtel. Les chambres sont grandes ainsi que la salle de bain. Le seul petit bémol, nous sommes restés 2 nuits et la chambre n'a pas été faîte ni les serviettes changées, est ce comme ça en Allemagne ?

So la la.

Tolle Lage über der Stadt und Blick zum Rhein von der Terrasse und auch manche Zimmer. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Frühstück lecker und vielseitig. Leider war das Zimmer nicht sauber und die Amaturen im Bad schmutzig und verkalkt!

Das Hotel liegt schön oberhalb der Altstadt mit Blick auf den Rhein und ist mit dem Bus erreichbar ( ausser Sonntag). Das Zimmer war gross und gut eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen.

Dieses Hotel hat eine wundervolle Lage, dass ist aber auch schon so ziemlich das einzig Bestechende.
Die Zimmer sind runtergewohnt - 80ziger Standard.
Alte Teppiche, alte Bäder und auch teilweise Schmutzecken (riesiger Vogelschiss an der Terrassenscheibe, Staubecken im Bad)
Aussenanlage ziemlich verschmutzt und verwahrlost.
Personal völlig desorientiert. Tischreservierung auf der Terrassse für ala Carte nicht möglich. Kommunikation schlecht.
Terrassentür des Zimmers (Lage so das man einsteigen kann) nach ganztägigem Ausflug von Housekeeping offen gelassen.
Schwimmbad geschlossen.
Gästekarte für vergünstigte/gratis Eintritte nicht ausgehändigt.
Der Einzige, der lobenswert zu erwähnen ist:
Chef der Bar - kompetent und sehr nett.
Positiv auch ein schhön dekorierter Geburtstagstisch und eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung an diesem Morgen.
Das Hotel ist in diesem Zustand nicht zu empfehlen.

Hôtel situé en hauteur avec une vue magnifique sur le Rhin. Le personnel de l'hôtel est très sympathique et à l'écoute du client. Le restaurant propose également un très bon service est des plat de très bonne qualité. Le Spa est la piscine sont propres est de très haut standing. Je pense réserver à nouveau dans cet hôtel lors de prochains séjours dans la région.

Wat erg jammer was dat in de omschrijving van het hotel stond vermeld dat er een minibar aanwezig zou zijn op de kamer om je eigen drank koud te houden.
Deze waren echter weggehaald om onduidelijke reden.
Het kastje stond er wel maar de koelkast was eruit.
Heel vreemd.
Bij navraag zei men dat we onze drank af konden geven bij het restaurant zodat zij het in de koeling konden leggen.
Probleem was dat er overdag niemand aanwezig was daar en we dus alsnog niets hadden aan deze optie.

Het gemis van een airco was groot.
Erg warm op de kamer.
Zéker toen ook nog het rolluik het begaf.
Er is iemand komen kijken op dag 2 maar daar bleef het bij.
Wij zijn daar 6 dagen geweest dus wat ons betreft een serieus aantal minpunten.

Bij de receptie waren ze verre van behulpzaam en vaak kort van stof.

Op het hotel zelf is niets aan te merken.
Héél schoon, goed ontbijt. Mooie ligging en fijne wellness.

Wel mistte we voor s avonds een bar waar we nog even een drankje konden doen.
Daarvoor moet je echt met de auto beneden in het dorp.

Das Hotel rette mich mit der Werbung angelockt: Eröffnung Wellnessbereich zum 1.7.20. Aber dem war nicht so. Der das Personal beim Check-In und Check-Out war zu keinem Entgegenkommen bereit. Die Zimmereinrichtung ist auf dem Stand der 80er Jahre, bad fühlt man sich auf 3 Quadratmeter eingezwängt.

Hotel aus einer anderen Zeit. Zimmer und Einrichtung sind nicht mehr zeitgemaess. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemueht aber wenig professionell. Nach unserem dritten Kurz-Aufenthalt warden wir nun nicht mehr wieder kommen.

Gutes Hotel in toller Lage

Es wird einiges am Hotel noch verbessert (z.B. geplanter Spa Bereich), was mich freut. Die Lage über dem Rhein ist toll, daher sollte man sich ein Zimmer mit Rheinblick gönnen. Freundliches Personal. Tolle Restaurant Terrasse.

The hot water supply in the shower wasn't ok.
I think you should correct this because everything else was realy good and gave us a very nice stay in Breisach
