The location and views from our balcony were incredible! We made a tiny plumbing issue with our original room, but were moved next day to a much nicer one! The food, drinks, and entertainment in this All Inclusive were the average, but we would choose it again for the beautiful layout of the property, easy access to hotel's two private beaches and very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel and staff was very poor. Our room was moldy and dirty and filled with mesquites on the walls and ceiling. The ac blew directly on the bed so you frozen if you used the unit. We stayed one night but had booked 7 nights . We moved to better hotel in bodrum for almost the same price . Food was poor quality and displayed in a rather unappealing manner. Do Not book this hotel

Find yourself a better hotel

It all depends on your expectations and what you want to get out of the holiday. Although it was advertised as a 5* all inclusive, it really is a 3* at best.

There are two main pools in the hotel. The \"relax pool\" is a a pool mainly where families and couples will hang out. We spent most of our time here until there was a situation where a kid pooed in the pool. It took the staff approx 3-4 hours to do anything about it. They didn't have a sign up so people kept on jumping in despite the poo. It was so gross to watch. The other pool labelled \"activity pool\" - I strong advise staying away from. It's full of men who wear bum bags and gold chains around their neck. They sit in the pool all day blasting house music. It's quite intimidating and not a very friendly atmosphere, especially if you have children.

The staff are relatively helpful, though some were plain rude. Especially the guy who serves drinks at the main restaurant. He blanked us every time we tried to order a drink and I also heard guests say the same.

The alcoholic drinks were disappointing and the beer was always flat.

The rooms are okay, I suppose. Though, they seem to be infested with mosquitos. I tried to count how many times I was bitten on my legs - I got up to 30 before I gave up counting.

Some places around the hotel smell like sewerage - awful to walk past at times.

Overall, hotel is very dated and could do with modernisation. Tacky furniture that has a lot of stains.

I visit Turkey every year and stay in 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel was one of the worst 5 star hotels I’ve seen. It should be 3 start with 3 out of 5 rating. The rooms were not properly cleaned. There was mold in the shower. The food is not good! There isn’t a real entertainment at night which most all inclusive have. The quality of drinks are very poor. The a la cart restaurants are not good. People come to hotel around 3-5am yelling and talking loudly bothering guests and there isn’t
anyone to tell them to be quiet. You can hear loud music at night and day time. Dinner is served at 7:30 and from 2pm the only food you can find is some pastry! This hotel is not cheap for what they offer. Not sure who gives these hotels stars but they should definitely reconsider this being a 5 start hotel!!!

The property was good, well located, but the staff, despite being friendly, didn’t speak a lot of English, so communicating was a challenge throughout my stay. I was not impressed with the food, quite bland and most of the items didn’t have labels in English, so many times I didn’t know what I was eating. I also had an issue with the Wi-Fi connection, 3 days in, it stopped working and despite complaining, there was not a satisfactory solution for it. In fact, there was no solution at all, I was told the problem was my phone, but it worked anywhere else, except there. Also, the night before checking out, I was packing and when trying to open the safe to retrieve my passport, the safe didn’t work. I called the reception and it took them almost an hour and 2 phone calls for them to send someone to help. It turned out, the battery on the safe died, but I feel some details about the room/hotel were not cared for properly.

Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel staff was super accomodating and switched our two rooms to a gorgeous family room as we were travelling with kids. The beach is wonderful as is the pool. The staff is all fantastic and the hotel is located very close to all the happening spots in bodrum. Over all a wonderful experience.

Worse hotel I stayed, I do not know how this hotel is rated as five stars, even not qualified for four stars, room is too small, the bed is smaller than twin, no lotion, put all hair conditioners at the room, called the room service, then put all shower gels, room is stinky, bathroom is cracked, for foods, very limited choices, all the same for a week, if you go there a bit later, you will miss fish, people are fighting for fish, only good food there, no shrimps or other seafood, out of this resort is dirty, even inside it is not kept clean, a tiny theater, where you have daily show, worse than a street performance, for the beach, hard to see such bad water and sands, the service is very bad, few people speak English, cocktails are just like water, this resort is not near five stars, at the maximum, three stars, stay away from this hotel, unless you want to mess up your expensive vacation

This was our third stay last time was 7 years ago .. you would have thought being a return customer the hotel would look after us!! But NO the room they put us in the flooring was coming up the shower didn’t work and door frame came away whilst opening…we change rooms after complaining.. the hot food was cold most off the time very limited choice ok if your wanting to diet !! And when it get busy they only have one bar tender so people get very frustrated.. they have spent some money doing up foyer and lounge but rest off hotel needs money spent on it …also the sun beds by relaxation pool are so uncomfortable they do your back in….the plus is that the hotel has amazing views from roof top restaurant…..

Staff were very nice provided other rooms but they were all old and not clean. They provided me full refund and than I went to another hotel.

According to a 5 stars hotel, the wifi never worked in anywhere. The rooms smell like sewage. The guests were so annoying we had to call the reception everynight and they did not take any action i even asked them to call the police. If you are intending for a relaxing trip, this hotel is the worst for such trip.

Dear Expedia Customer care team,
I don't know where to start with our horrible experience during our 7 day stay at Royal Asarlik Beach Hotel & Spa - All Inclusive in Bodrum Turkey from August 24th to September 1st. (Respective Itineraries: # 7456173968213 & 7456177873203). This vacation supposed to be a reunion of my family members where 10 people wanted to enjoy the re-union in a relaxing atmosphere without any hassles or stress. Unfortunately we ended up going through a nightmare with this hotel which resulted us to cancel the hotel for the second week and made a new hotel reservation in the same area, where at least we can enjoy the rest of the vacation at least for the second week, and were willing to pay more than $2,400 plus transport cost and other terrible experiences, so we can get rid of this horrible hotel. I have listed in the attached PDF 19 different major incidents and issues mostly with the hotel, but also included my experience with your poor customer support.
After I created the list, I could not believe that we went through lot of horrible issues and asked my self, how Expedia can rate and list this hotel in their catalog and give them a 5 Stars rating? As a long term Expedia customer I rely on your quality management team and their audits and I was wondering if you have ever conducted an audit with this vendor?
Since our first week of our vacation was a total waste of money with no joy, I demand a response from your management team by September 15th 20

The rooms could use a little updating and the beds could be a little more comfortable but this has been stated before in the reviews and I knew this upon booking. There could be a little more variation and improvement in the food offerings also. Over all if you’re expecting 3.5 star hotel you will be pleased... if you’re expecting 5 stars you will be disappointed.

The hotel rooms are in need of an update and thorough clean. The food repetitive and bland. Service ok but housekeeping needs improvement. Mehmet at the bar a gem, really engages with customers. Bodrum centre 3.25TL with dolmush and 25TL with taxi so a little isolated from the main town.

Hot meals cold. If English do not expect anything that resembles an English breakfast. Food very poor we had to eat out every day. This adds more cost to what should of catered for all inclusive. Room was OK but room very hot when you return as power to air con only goes on when you insert door key card. Safe was £20 extra which considering the price should be free. Towels changed daily, shower room old and looks run down but OK. Beds OK and sheets changed daily. The sea view was more about what the roofs of the buildings in front look like, which most needed some work on.
The cleaners come round early and even though we put on door not to disturb the did, also on last day we paid extra to keep the room till late so we could get ready later. This was also so we could pack later so we did not want room service done. When we returned someone had been in, taken the tip we planned to leave later, but the worrying thing was everything was out ready to pack including the safe contents.
Drinks are OK but only local so nothing like what you expect, the bars around to pools and beach are poor. They smell and look untidy, dirty floors and the equipment looks ready to pack up. The staff work very long hours so do look tired towards the end of their day. Plenty of sun loungers, towels and places to rest, beach area OK but need something on your feet to get in and out of the sea as it’s very stoney.

5 star in Gumbet

After having a fantastic holiday last year at the Royal Asarlik we could not wait to go back. The hotel has amazing views, beautiful pools and great staff. Food is varied and always plenty of it from 7am to midnight with wide choice of drinks and cocktails. Rooms are a good size and comfortable and cleaned on a daily basis. The only downside for this hotel is that although it is a distance from the clubs, they are very loud and can be heard from the rooms causing some sleep disruption well into the early hours. However there are plenty of shops and bars within walking distance and you can always snooze around the pools.

we had to wait two hours for the room to be ready, but after we have entered to room it was still not cleaned,dirty plates everywhere, no soap in the bathroom and the minibar was empty and no drinking water. The wifi had poor connection and it was almost impossible to use a chat app. Moreover, our room was located directly near a generator which was turned on one time at 5am and couldnt sleep after that.
The advantage of the hotel is the location, its 10min away from bodrum city by taxi and 5min walking from the bar street, in addition the hotel has a straight access to the beach and a good restaurant with a nice view.

The Hotel was great.. Old little bit so we can say it was 5 stars hotel 7 years ago but still great.
The staff were great smiling friendly and helpful and most of them were trying to speak English witch is good.
The food was amazing, a lot of different dishes every time, food and sweets all of the day.
Drink what ever you want from the bars, eat snakes and ice cream enjoy the sun then at the end of the day wash your self in the Turkish bath.
We booked a stranded room it was ok but no WiFi in the rooms. The relaxing room looked great so if you want to relax spend some more money and book the relax room.
We recommend this hotel strongly.

This is not a 4/5 star hotel

This is definitely not a 4 or 5 star hotel. At best, I would rate it a 3 star. The building has seen better days. It is in need of renovation and modernisation. The deco is tired and rooms are small. The bathroom was tiny with a small corner shower which hardly had any pressure or hot water at certain times. The laminate flooring in the corridors is so badly worn out. The food at this all-inclusive is not that great. We booked the relax room with a sea view so at least it was quiet. The location is very good, right on the Gumbet beach and the dolmus bus stops just outside the hotel so you can get into lively Bodrum in about 10 minutes. There was entertainment one of the evenings which we found really good. There are hardly any top-end hotels in this area so for that reason, the Royal Asarlik has the edge due to its size and being all-inclusive, otherwise, it would never be my first choice.

Quaint Resort Hotel on the Beach

This is a quaint little resort hotel for sun-worshippers, but definitely, positively is not a 5 star one. Food is better than average, but the facilities are showing their age. If you are looking for basic accommodations, unlimited drinks and colorful night life in Gumbet, this is would be a good resort for you.

I just came back from this hotel in Bodrum. The stay was awesome, the locacation of the hotel is comfortable, there are many bars and shops just very close to it. Night life is vivid, but what is nice is that the atmosphere in the hotel is rather relaxing. The beach is private and clean. The food was abundant and tasty. I can advise this hotel to anyone who would like to have a woinderful holiday in Bodrum, Turkey.

Lovely staff and good food are the best qualities.

A room with a sea view or in the garden area near to the pool is the most desirable and certainly worth paying extra for. It's quieter, more attractive and convenient except for wifi which was best in the lobby. The adult pool is quite charming, grassy and pleasant to be around. The other pool has dance music and water sports so great for the teens..
Plenty to do with a town, bars and beach access close by. Bodrum is 10 mins away and worth a visit as is a boat trip to local beaches. Great all inclusive holiday for the family not to be disappointed.

Its not five star I'm afraid but it is a four- good pool areas, next to beach with good water sports. Good choice of food in restaurants with variety. Good lunch service. Drinks are local spirits and all ok (except for the whiskey!) Cocktails offered in the bars. Waiter service available in four restaurants each week serving Italian, Chinese, Fish & Ottoman menu's. This is as well as the normal buffet style catering which offered a variety of dishes nightly. We stayed in the Relax rooms with sea view balcony - these were good. Some guests who stayed in the hotel at the front complained of noise but the Relax rooms were very quiet. Room cleaning could be improved but staff do want to help so you only have to ask if something is missed.

By every definition - a resort!

Okay so the place is a little bit far from town but you have everything available within the resort. There is a small shop that sells all beach/swim ware and other toiletries in case you forget to bring your own. Barber and pro photographer is available. Has a spa with professional masseurs from Bali. Little concerned about the hygiene of the turkish bath and massage room though. Room is good size but all commodities in the room and bathroom are really really old. Internet in room is a big problem. Room feels more like a 3 star at most. BUT! Great service. Friendly and helpful staff. Good buffet. In addition to buffet, you can also book for specialist restaurants that offer FREE Chinese, Italian and Ottoman cuisines and those restaurants are terrific! Bars serve food in the odd hours in case you miss the buffet. Free local drinks whenever you want. You won't go hungry and won't even feel the need to leave the resort. Two great beaches and two swimming pools. Lots of events every night organized within the resort. Final Verdict: A definite \"go stay at this hotel\". I am a very experienced traveller and love luxury hotels. Even though Royal Asarlik somewhat falls short of a true luxury hotel, it is one of the best experiences I have ever had.

THE BEST HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

AMAZING HOTEL! Could not ask for more, the service was 5 star, I was treated like a queen. The food was beautiful especially the barbecues at lunch or dinner time. We had an amazing view overlooking the sea. The hotel also have their own Spa service which I definately recommend to have all services as they are very polite and professional. They even have an evening disco for those who like the party life.

MY FAMILY AND I WERE LOOKING TO STAY IN A 5 STAR RESORT. THIS WAS MORE LIKE A FANCY MOTEL 6. THE BEDS WERE VERY OLD AND IN REALLY BAD SHAPE. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IN OUR ROOM WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEVER GOT FIXED AFTER COMPLAINING OVER 5 TIMES. THE AC KEPT GOING OUT AND NEVER GOT FIXED. THE FOOD WAS AT BEST 3 STAR. LOCATION WAS GOOD AND BODRUM OVERALL IS A GREAT PLACE BUT THIS HOTEL RATING NEEDS TO BE REALLY LOOKED AT.

I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival at our hotel as this is not a well known Australian brand hotel. Hotel has 2 big pools and also you can get turkish baths on site - A MUST FOR EVERYONE .... I STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!
All staff are great, nice and friendly. All inclusive package is good value.
Beware of the male waiters who are all eager to \"take you out\".

Otel konum olarak iyi ama 5 yıldızlı bir otel için yemekler vasat temizlik yetersiz özellikle bebekler için olan mama sandalyeleri temizlenmiyor. Plajdaki taşların temizletilmesi gerekli denize kesinlikle ayakkabısız girmeyin çünkü taşlar ayağınızı kesiyor açılana kadar kocaman taşlar var bana göre en kötü kısmı bu. En iyi kısmı çalışanların ilgi ve alakası yardımcı olmaları özellikle de erkek çalışanların. Ama bir daha tercih etmem sanırım.

Çok güzel vakit geçirdik ama bazı eksiklikler vardı alkol markası olarak ucuz marka alkoller vardı ve tadı kötüydü. Ama bira ve rakı güzel markalardı. pastane ve snakes çok iyiydi Ve çok samimi ailevi bir ortam vardı, hiç gitmek istemedik çok iyi vakit geçirdik. Deniz kum güneş mükemmeldi. 2 sene önce gidip daha mutlu kaldığımız bir oteldi. Referans olup diğer aile üyelerimizi de otele getirdik mahçup olduk. Odanın temizliği yüzeysel bir şekilde yapılıyor tuvalet ve lavabolar temizlenmiyor.Eğer bahşiş veriyorsanız personel ilgili ve güler yüzlü. Vermiyorsanız asık suratlı ve öncelik olmuyorsunuz.Personel sayısı yetersiz. Mutfağı çok kötü aç kaldık desek yeridir genellikle dondurulmuş gıdalar ve yeşillikler yıkanmamış, yumurtalar mosmor. 3 gün boyunca otelde asansör sıkıntısı yaşadık 2 yaşındaki bebeğimle günde kaç kere merdiven inip çıktım annem ve babam yaşlı insanlar zorlandılar. Çift yataklı dedikleri oda da çekyat var orda yatıyorsunuz. Mini bar asla yenilenmedi. Odalarda karınca ve böcekler vardı. Otelin sadece konumu ve denizi güzel. Çocuk havuzunda bile yetişkinler yüzüyor ve kimse uyarmıyor. Benzer yorumlar yazılmasına rağmen otel tarafında herhangi bir düzenleme yapılmıyor. Eksiklikler giderilmiyor.

Il n’y avais aucune propreté dans les chambres, les lits était cassé, impossible de dormir ou de bouger dans le lit la nuit tellement il fesait du bruit.
Le buffet étais nul toujours de la bouffe répétitif et degueulasse. Le personel était pas gentil et irrespectueux. L’hôtel manque de qualité et d’entretien. Je ne rouspète pas de l’hôtel mais j’ai assisté au changement de cette hôtel puisque c’était la 4eme fois que je suis venue depuis 2014

Otelin konumu ve otel genel olarak çok güzel, fiyat performans oteli ancak son gün çok saçma bir olay yaşadım. Tam çıkış yapacağım gün saat 11:30 gibi üstümü değiştirip giyinmiştim ki bir anda içeriye çalışan biri girdi, kapı tıklama yok içeride insanlar müsait mi değil mi sormak etmek yok. Otelden çıkış saatim gelmemişti bile bu olay yaşandığında. bu sebep ile çok tedirgin oldum açıkcası. Otele de tek başıma seyahat etmiştim, herhangi bir çalışan böyle zart diye odalara girebiliyorsa bu çok büyük bir problem. Tekrar tercih edip etmemek konusunda kararsızım.

Rezerve ettiğimiz odaları bize veremediler. Baska oda opsiyonları sundular. Erken girişe izin verildi. Çıkış saatine 1 saat önceden 3 kez telefon ile 3 kez kapıya gelerek rahatsız edildik. Yemekler vasat fakat mezeler güzel. Buz içme suyundan yapılıyor buz tüketmeyin. Sahili küçük bayram zamanı geldiğimiz için çok kalabalıktı yer bulmakta zorlandık. Yastıklar boş gibi kayboluyoruz yatınca. Sert veya dolu yastık istediğinizde yok diyorlar. Hiç konforlu değildi. Erkek grupları olarak gelenler vardı. Aile için çok uygun bir otel değil. Akşam Etkinlikler yok. Sadece dans gösterisi ve sonrasında cluba görüyorlar isterseniz.

Beklentilerimi karşıladı

Son anda karar verdigimiz bi oteldik beklentimiz düşüktü ama biz çok sevdik. Beach kısmı çok güzel üç arkadaş çok keyifli zaman geçirdik denizide çok güzel. Bi kaç tane asık suratlı garsona denk geldik ukela idiydiler ama digerleri çok sempatikdi. Yemeklerde üst düzey diyemem ama gayet keyifli doyuyprsunuz. Sabah kahvaltısında balkon çok sıcak oluyor ama akşam yemeklerinde manzara ve hava çok keyifli. Genel olarak begendik. Gümbete gidersem bundan sonra ilk tercihim olacak .

Öncelikle çok büyük oranda beğendik. Deniz’e ulaşımımız güzeldi biz relax odalardan birinde konaklıyorduk. 3 gece 4 gün kaldık farkettim ki otelde 7-8 günün üstünde kalan çok fazla müşterisi de vardı. Temizlik için her gün gelip sordular ister misiniz diye. Ortak alanlardaki tuvalet duş soyunma kabini gibi yerler de temizdi. Gerçekten sürekli olarak yiyecek yada içecek bir şeyler oluyor. Bizim önceliğimiz denizi güzel olsun,sakin olsun ve yemekleri de kötü olmasında hepsini de gerçekleştirdi bu otel. Tek sorun gördüğümüz yanı yemek vakti oluşan yoğunluk rakı içmek istiyorsunuz ama buz gelmeyebiliyor,bazen tabak bitiyor yenilenmesini bekliyorsunuz birde yemek çeşitliliği çok yoktu. İlk gün 4 çeşit tavuk vardı ama balık yada et seçeneği yoktu örnek olarak. Otel çalışanları da gayet yardımcı olmaya çalışıyor.
