Very Good.

It is a great resort property and the beach is just few minutes walk. The open resort feel is awesome as the area otherwise is a bit congested on the main road. The staff is excellent and attends to all requests and needs.

I enjoyed my stay at the Lemon Tree hotel Amarante Beach Resort. I enojyed the short walk to the becah, the daily brunch and dinner service, the comfortable room, large pool and nearby shops in proximity to the hotel. I recommend Lemon Tree and would plan to stay at the chain of hotels on my next stay in India.

This hotel is in a very touristy area so with that in mind we had a great stay. On the property it’s a very calm environment. Staff are attentive and always willing to assist. Food was really good in the Citrus Cafe on property.

Fake 4 star hotel

Had a disappointment stay at this play. Fake 4 star hotel. From day 1 of my stay room had lots of issues. 1st water was leaking from air conditioner, 2nd no hot water in the morning to shower, 3rd didnt expect to see guests(insects) in the room. After raising these concerns still management didnt provide another room, they ignored. Only positive about this hotel is the friendly staff. Better stay away from this hotel if you want service for what you pay.

The whole hotel team was outstanding. From the check-in to daily restaurant interactions to the check-out , you feel welcome. Folks who complained about the restaurant don't give the staff credit for being truthful. As not all items in the menu are ready in minutes, since the town is a restaurant town . Guests usually stay at the hotel but eat out.

Nice Hotel, Poor Management

On arrival informed that our room was not ready as there was construction underway and would not be ready until the following day. We were moved to a sister hotel, just as nice rooms apparently, and told we could take over our originally booked room anytime the following morning. Well, the room was not of the same standard, it hadn’t been finished for the new season. After breakfast we asked to move back to the resort we’d actually booked and paid for, we were picked up and dropped off at reception. It became clear that the reason for our move had nothing to do with renovation and all to do with double booking as we were informed we would have to wait for housekeeping to prepare the room. I was unwell by this time with the onset of Delhi Belly and asked the assistant manager how long this would take, half an hour was the response. An hour and a half later, after a number of visits to ask why we were still sat in reception we eventually moved into our room. The room was fine, the housekeeping and catering staff were great. The reception staff were clueless and the management lied. I’m hoping the issues were around early season preparations and the fact there was an Indian Religious Cekebration on that weekend, but would not stay there again due to the management dishonesty.

4 day stay at Lemon Tree Amarante, Candolim, Goa

Excellent location, great staff (truly truly helpful and cheerful - big shout out to Jophilip at front desk, Ayub from travel, and Vineet from housekeeping).
The rooms are ageing and worn out. The double bed we had was two singles pushed together (so the middle sags). Breakfast could be improved (sausages tasted like bread) but who needs hotel food with such a great location and literally hundreds of restaurants and shacks within walking distance.

Great place to experience Goa

It's the people that make this hotel special. Yes, it's comfortable and clean and well looked after, but more importantly the welcome is warm and friendly, the staff are genuinely keen to help and I really enjoyed my stay. On the down-side - internet connection is unreliable and there are regular, short power outages (although this isn't the fault of the hotel - it's just Goa in general). The hotel is quiet, being set back from the road by a pretty courtyard but it is right in the centre of the main street and a short walk to the beach.

Ok, so I want to be hesitant to overly criticize the Lemon Tree because it wasn't bad. It was clean and safe, just nothing all that special. I read a bunch of reviews online that made the place seem a lot nicer than it actually was. Our expectation was that we were getting a luxury hotel but I'd more realistically rate this place on par with a 3-star hotel in the US, only with a nicer exterior and pool.
The room was clean but nothing special. Don't upgrade for the balcony, its a waste of money. There was only one chair and NO view. Waste of money. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. They set out what they called \"fresh\" juices but they tasted pre-mixed powder ones or watered down with water.
The service was average but it wasnt the typical \"we'll bend over backward to make you happy\" level of hospitality that we had experienced everywhere else in India. This stay was right after the Indian demonetization which made it nearly impossible to find cash. Before there, all of the other hotels were accommodating tourists by helping pay cab fares and just adding it to the final bill. But this was a task too tall for the LT and we had to under pay our cab fare with the only remaining cash that we had left. That wasnt a default service that they we were promised but just an example of being a notch below the others. They also ask u to fill out a survey at the end of your stay but will interrogate you if you leave anything negative. We laughed as we left bc it was so awkward.

We stayed here for 7 nights. Nice pool area and not far from the beach but route to the beach is not very clean.The rooms were comfortable but in desperate need of updating. Our windows were completely blocked out so we had absolutely no views and during our stay our phone wasn't working so we had to walk down to reception every time we needed something. Bathroom accessories weren't replaced, infact our shampoo container in the shower was empty throughout our stay. Staff friendly. I think the would benefit greatly if some refurbishment were carried out.

Our group of 6 had booked 2 rooms at Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort for 2 nights. We had a wonderful stay at the resort.
Last minute addition of an extra person was very smoothly managed.
We had a small incident wherein one of us had lost our mobiles, and the hotel staff patiently helped us with the CCTV footage to help us trace our phone. We spent a good 30-45 minutes with them seeing some slow repetitive footage and the staff was very co-operative with us.
Our rooms were maintained in good conditions. The linen was spotless and clean. Housekeeping staff also moved around smoothly not disturbing our routine or with the constant nagging we sometimes come across at other hotels.
On the whole, we had a very good experience / pleasant stay at Lemon Tree.

Location is perfect if u want to stay in Candolim and close to the beach. It is a 5 mins walk to the beach but the road is secluded after 7 pm. The property is getting old and needs refurbishment. The AC was leaking and they couldn't fix the problem as it got repeated in day 2.

Breakfast is average though the spread is wide. Service at breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Pan Asian restaurant is very good and recommended

Beautiful property to spend vacation

This was our my vacation after returning to India. And I am glad I started with Lemon Tree in Goa. This is an amazing property with a lot of heritage feel. The room was excellent with the balcony opening towards the greenery. The staff was really courteous. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety. Though its not right on the beach, its very close. Its also very close to a lot of eateries.

The hotel is situated right next to many cafes, shops and restaurants in the heart of Candolim. Back side of hotel has a path to the beach. 5min walk. Only negative is there was lukewarm showers. I like mine burning hot!

“Great place to stay!”

We, ( a group of 4 friends) stayed in this hotel towards end of November and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The pool area was very well maintained and looked beautiful. The hammocks were very nice to way relax! The whole decor was very pleasing. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and because it was till 12 noon we could have leisure time in the beach in the morning and make it for brunch! The beach was a short walk from the hotel back entrance and was not crowded so it was excellent to walk/ play in the mornings. Also we get taxis, scooter rentals, shopping, restaurants just outside the hotel so it was well located on the main road. On the whole a pleasurable experience and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall very nice hotel. excellent location, the pool was clean and staff were friendly. Wouldn't recommend eating or drinking at the hotel because the price listed isn't actually the price you get billed at the end they add 12.5% VAT and then a service charge on top too. Half the price in all the restaurants and bars just a step out the front door and from the shacks on the beach. There were also no drawers to be able to unpack our cases only a wardrobe. 24 hour reception and security on the gates. Reception staff able to recommend good local eateries although some speak limited English.

The hotel was great. Very pretty and good area. Centrally located and easy access to the other beaches around by Scooter. The one downside was that they were redoing the pool when we went and getting it ready for the season so we didn't get to try it out. The breakfast buffet was awesome!!

Nice hotel, Heritage room 4 poster was nice but no drawers in room.
Brilliant housekeeping services. Pool staff very attentive with towels and chairs, but I had to go to the bar every time I wanted a drink.
Hotel restaurant served excellent food but the service was shockingly poor, I even had to ask for cutlery to be provided at one stage.
The restaurant attached to the hotel 'Republic of Noodles' was the complete opposite. The service was the best we had in Goa and the food was magnificent as well.
Be aware that the Republic of Noodles shares the bar with the hotel. If you order a drink by the pool it costs twice as much as having the same drink in the restaurant!

I stayed in Lemon tree resort from Aug 24 to Aug 30, 2014. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Listing some of the good points and areas of improvement

Good points
a) Very well maintained rooms. Rooms were very clean and house keeping made it a point to clean the rooms daily.
b) Very polite staff. They made it a point to ensure that stay was very good. Right from the staff at Citrus cafe such as Chandan, Mahavir and Sandeep who were very good to the staff at the reception desk, all very very friendly
c) Very good and clean swimming pool
d) Very good breakfast spread

Areas of improvement
a) Some times, noisy guests created a scene outside the rooms late into the night which created inconvenience. Although its not the hotel staff's fault, some sign boards could help.
b) Found the rates at Citrus cafe to be very high, not to mention the high service charges and tax added to the bill. Hotel should review the rates or atleast reduce the rates during off season.

Overall very happy with my stay and would love to come back again.

Beautiful place on the right location in Goa

I stayed here for more than a week. I must say this is definitely a good place to stay. I don't know why they call themselves a Beach Resort. The beach is quite near from this place.. less than 5 mins walking distance but they do not own it.. the beach and the hotel are not connected either. Location of the hotel is really good in terms of distance to other tourist places. I was served by staff who are deaf-mute and I think they are as efficient (or even better) as the other staff who are not physically challenged like them. They like their work and they really want us to be comfortable and satisfied with their service. Among them, I must mention Sandeep who was the best and I will remember my stay because of him.

Bathroom water inside room !!!

This hotel is having a pleasing atmosphere. Located in a very good location surrounded by lot of nice restaurants . Staff behaviour is pleasing. The two security men standing infront of the gate are great with their behaviour. Reception area looks like that of a 2 or 3 star hotel, not so good. Swimming pool and surrounding area looks awesome.
The worst thing about the hotel was the room and bathroom facilities. I have booked a superior room. The room was too small. The bathroom was leaking ,once the water flows out of the bathroom and filled the room. Staff took around 30 minutes to dry out the water from the room.The toiletaries was also leaking. I didn't see the bathroom dry once.

The lemon tree hotel as a whole were very accommodating of our needs. Staff were always friendly and always made sure we were comfortable. I liked that the breakfast was until 12pm so we didn't have to wake up super early and there was a lovely place to eat, as part of the hotel, republic of noodles - great cocktails there too.

The hotel has a lovely spa at good prices (full body massage around £25, head / feet only around £12-£16), the rooms were always super clean, the pool is lovely, the decor is just wonderful and the nicely funny little pictures frames with hilarious commentary was a nice touch.

There are always taxi drivers outside the hotel. Take a cab to Calungute for great night life experience, clubs, bars and beach life during the day is great. Very exciting. Mumbo club was by far the best one there. Better that Titu's (which I didn't like at

For the firs,to time after visiting Goa eight times finally found a room that had a decent mattress on the bed!!!
The hotel was superb, room spacious and all facilities, it was cleaned everyday.
Only ever ate breakfast each day but there was plenty of choice and good quality.
The hotel was in the centre of Candolium but despite that there was no noise from the busy street 100 yards away.
All in all will definitely book this hotel again without hesitation.

Oasis of calm in busy Candolim

Stayed for 2 weeks. Staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. No views as such from our bedroom but the hotel is central so buildings either side. Pool area was lovely. We had breakfast there once which wasn't great but had dinner and it was lovely. Drinks are expensive compared with elsewhere but i guess thats hotel prices. Free Internet for only an hour each day which was a bit of a pain don't know why they just can't make it totally free for guests all the time. Overall enjoyed our stay there.

Best hotel / beach resort in Candolim !

We just got back from a 10 day holiday stay. All expectations were met. Our experience was excellent overall. The friendly, helpful staff, services, location and ambiance made for a most relaxing stay.
The grounds are quite appealing and were so beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday. The pool area was a great place to relax and enjoy excellent service. We were very pleased to have chosen Candolim over Calungute for our hotel location.

Well maintained hotel well sited to enable you to access all of the resorts facilities. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel and rooms extremely clean and tidy, Food at the hotel was of a high standard, the only draw back was the price at the Bars. You could visit many of the high quality local restaurants eat and drink for half the price paid in the hotel, but then you would not want to stay in the Hotel all the time and miss the opportunity to sample the excellent local fare.

Friendly staff, rooms need a bit of a makeover

The staff at this hotel was very nice and accommodating. The pool is very nice, as are the grounds. What is lacking is the rooms -- they are nice, but for the price (I think Goa hotels are all generally pricey), the rooms could be updated a bit. They are a bit older. Still, it's a nice place.

A older style hotel that has had a few licks of paint to keep it looking spruce. The beach is situated about 8 mins walk through walkways between private houses, only when it's daylight!
The rooms are not cutting edge, but suffice, make sure you test the bed and have no interconnecting door, we changed room to get a more peaceful sleep, be warned, lots of kids around, especially the weekends.
The staff are the best, especially pravesh, who's a dab hand with towel animals.
The breakfast buffet is reasonable and well catered for vegetarians, not much in the way for big meat eaters, but nice, avoid between 10-11 when it's rather busy.
The pool is lovely, shallow, but swimmable, and the mini gym is sufficient. The food is ok, stick to the local cuisine for best taste.
I would return, but would avoid in the peak., the hotel is situated off a main road, with lots of restaurants and shops. The taxi guys just outside the hotel are a bit of a rip off, we walked up a bit to the next taxi rank on the left.
If you've never been to India before, be prepared for an assault on all of your senses, it's both frustrating and fantastic, the hotel is a bit of a haven after a day out- enjoy!

Distant Beach & Uncooperative Staff

The Lemontree Goa Resort is well located. The Food is very ordinary & the restaurants have poor staff , especially the much awarded \"Noodle Republic\". Pathetic service led us to walk out as no one is interested in taking food & beverage orders. The Reception is least co-operative, we had a family of 4 & our flight was delayed. Upon requesting for a late check-out, they outrightly refused. We booked through hotels.com & the buffet breakfast was supposed to be complimentary. On checking in, we were surprised that this was not the case. We had to pay 550.00 Indian Rupees per head for no fault of ours. Please check in at your risk. Many better places available in Goa.

Had a good family stay at the hotel, first at a Lemon Tree. The hotel appears small from outside, but is bigger inside. It is not on the beach, but not that far too. You need to walk 2-3 minutes from the rear exit of the hotel, through a local area before you reach a nice sandy beach. It has a good pool, which was fun. Breakfast buffet was decent, though the al-a-carte menu seems to be overpriced. The Pavilion room was spacious enough, with a comfortable bed. Staff is OK, can be more pleasant.

The stay was wonderful, and we would like to stay there every time we come to goa! For me its a 5 out of 5 stay. The breakfast is awesome and the pool is outstanding.

Hotel with a character

The hotel has a character of it's own,staff is extremely friendly.the swimming pool and the breakfast buffet are definitely the highlights if the hotel.it also helps that there is an excellent departmental store just as one wals out of the hotel,especially families traveling with kids.housekeeping was up to the mark too!

Brilliant hotel. Would highly recommend.

We stayed in a twin room for four nights. Brilliant hotel, so clean and the staff were so friendly. Exceeded all of our expectations. Our room was cleaned daily and bottled water in the room. Beds were so comfy. The pool was nice and clean. Breakfast was amazing. We even used the gym (small but adequate). You could rent DVD's from reception when it rained (it was monsoon season). Very close to a nice supermarket so we bought anything we needed from here. Every member of staff greeted you with a smile and was always willing to help. The Noodle restaurant next door was expensive but the best meal we had in Goa. Only thing would be that tax and service is not included in the price so would always end up costing more than you thought. Highly recommend this hotel. Wish they were all this good.

REFRESHING...for sure!

I rated the Lemon Tree as 5 out of 5 because it delivered more than it claimed that it would. My wife and I stayed for a week and left thoroughly relaxed. Hotel, food, accommodation and staff were all a full star above what was claimed and advertised...and that meant they lived up to their mission statement...REFRESHING. Family (even elderly couple) friendly.

Pleasant, great food.

Very friendly staff who go the extra mile to help and make you comfortable. I needed new towels and a comforter at 2 in the morning for a sick child and I got it.
Breakfast is until noon - great that you dont have to wake up and rush to catch the breakfast buffet after a late Goa night out.
Republic of Noodles, the pan Asian restaurant is outstanding.
Short rides to Calangute and Baga.

Beach access is not very clean, but then its outside the hotels purview as you have to walk through Candolim back roads to reach the beach.

Overall a very nice, relaxed and comfortable stay.

“Getaway trip” -Honeymoon

Had a short but a good stay at the hotel.

Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort, Goa. The stay was really nice and so are the staff.

Upon arriving I found myself in a valley of smiles from the very first person I met. He explained everything I had available.

The Housekeeping & Front office is very efficient, while passing from the Front desk we happen to mention to one of the boy there if the hotel has swimming costumes, he said you can proceed to the room you shall get it , was a surprise the housekeeping got a couple of options to select for ladies and gents.

Not to forget to thank Mr Durga at the Reception who always had a smile on his face and made our check in and check out excellent .

The bed was one thing that if I could take it home, I would have done. Hard in the right places and comfortable.

Pool is awesome and the Resort is located near the Candolim Beach

Very rich and tasty breakfast. With each breakfast I became more spoiled.

In the end I was almost sorry to leave

The rooms are well equipped and sparkling clean. The added advantage was a clean and refreshing pool with the bar, which made us forget to visit the beach too.

As we were on our Honeymoon we got a complimentary Red Wine bottle from the hotel which was a very sweet gesture. Expected a upgrade or some thing as we got a room 117 which was soo close to the kitchen , extreme corner.

Highly recommended if you want to have a comfortable, safe and relaxing stay at Goa.

For visiting Candolim, its near unbeatable

We stayed here for seven nights; the \"beach\" part of our two week holiday to India.

I've scored the hotel in the context of Candolim - for the resort it is of fantastic quality, but it can not go \"toe to toe\" with the likes of a Radisson Blu; as far as I'm aware there are currently no such hotels in the area (but I may be wrong !).

There were just two irritations for me, both typical of the hotel industry across the world and centre on \"greed\". Firstly the hotel insists on charging premium prices for food and drink, you only need to travel a few hundred yards to get similar quality with near equal ambiance for a third of the price in any number of bars and restaurants.

Secondly, and a particular bug bear of my own, is the charge levied for WiFi Internet access - if the local beach shacks and bars can provide this free of charge whilst selling you just £2 worth of drinks, a hotel of this caliber can surely absorb the costs of providing free internet access (if only in common areas) within the room rate.

Great Goa Hotel

We were part of a group of twelve. Staff were always courteous and would go out of their way to be helpful including arranging airport transport. Great swimming pool and short walk to the beach and the Arabian sea.
Food was delicious with lots of choices and the executive chef was very accommodating.
Our four day stay was most relaxing and enjoyed by all.

The physical premises of the hotel are adequate, but the distance from the beach is more than advertised and getting to the beach was distasteful as we had to pass by shacks and garbage stewn everywhere. Not my idea of a \"beach\" holiday.

Good location for the beach

Lemon Tree is a good comfortable hotel in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful which made our stay welcome and relaxed. We were there on a full board basis which was a mistake, especially as there are some good eating places near by, not least the Republic of Noodles. Whereas the dinning room in the hotel did not provide much variety and is small and claustraphobic. The pool table in the dinning room is not condusive to comfortable dinning and would be better placed some where in the outside or not at all.

Great hotel in Candolim...value for money.

Good clean hotel. Good variety in breakfast which was included in our package ...timings were 6.30 to noon. Lunch and dinner menu is also good. Asian restaurant on site is good as well. Beach is walkable...5 mins away...clean and not crowded. Beach side shacks are there but would not eat there...only ok for a beer. Good pool side bar.Kids pool also good.
Rooms are well stacked with towels...good hot forceful shower. Airconditioned rooms. In room service 24 h/day.
Additional bed is extra. Good location....shopping is walkable on either side of the hotel. There are 2 supermarkets closeby...Delfino's is a good one that carries all international brands...range of foods, snacks, beers, sunscreen lotions, etc.
No metered taxis in Goa...so do negotiate with cab drivers...generally can get a 80km/8 hr cab with driver for 1800/day with additonal 18Rs/km. All north Goa beaches are close. Lots of restaurants around, can order Dominos pizza in room as well. Overall enjoyeable stay, good service and value for money.

Hotel is located at a very convenient location on the main candolim-calangute road.It has nearby shopping areas and very good food joints serving variety of foods from european, chinese,mughlai, indian etc.ATM is nearby, street shopping is also convenient. Hotel is providing good service. However beach access is not convenient and needs walking from the back gate of the hotel almost 200 metres. Overall Good family hotel, restaurant food quality is good. The only drawback is limited parking space availability.

Not worth the money

The hotel is overrated and overpriced. The room was fine, but the rest of the hotel did not live of to 4 stars. The bar and restaurant was to expensive. We changed hotel to a better and cheaper doing our stay in goa.

It is a very excellent hotel to stay, Near to the market & 4-5 Km from Calanguate. Just a 5 min walk from Candolim beach, Beach is extremely clean supported by mast weather.

Rooms were clean & tidy, with excellent service quality. The only one drawback in this hotel is that food which was quite but a bit costly otherwise a great & a pleasant experience staying at this hotel.
