First trip to Thailand

Lovely relaxing stay. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Our room which had a lovely sea view and sited above the restaurant was nice but was looking on the tired side, nothing a coat of paint couldn't put right.also the side window overlooked the canopy of the restaurant and could of done with a good clean to make the view a little more pleasant. Food was good. Pool was lovely and the gardens all well kept. Beach was lovely. Room cleaned every day with fresh towels for shower and beach. Excellent shower. Beds comfortable.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights. The room was big and cozy. The staff was very friendly and the entire antosphere of the place was very relaxing.
The only negative is that this resort is a little bit old. But other the. That it was a great stay for us and our one year old son.

Perfect hotel for couples! Right in the beach!

Nice hotel, we traveled in may and booked a sea view room for 2 nights. The room is nice, clean with balcony and you can see the ocean. The restaurant is really good, cheap and romantic. We dinner in the beach with candle lights. You also have minimarkets just in the entrance of the hotel. Overall was great but because it was what we was looking for. Just a couple nights of relax. Take in consideration that there is no night life at all. Restaurants close 22:30 pm.

Clean hotel, beautiful location.

The hotel is exactly as it is in the pictures, nice room and bathroom. Lovely view from the balcony. Rooms were cleaned everyday, hotel grounds were cleaned at least twice a day. Staff were all lovely. Perfect location with a nice beach. Nice and quiet location as well. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

Amazing & relaxing stay

The resort is about 30 min drive from Kohpan gan centre but if you are looking for relaxing beautiful view and beach it's perfect for you!
Me and my boyfriend spent there 3 days and we would have spent even more if we could have the time.
The facilities are good too for a 3* resort, the rooms are spacious, the wifi works very well everywhere even on the beach, they have a nice pool, and they provide a taxy service going to the centre any time you need with pick up too (for a little surcharge).
They have a restaurant right on the beach which offer good food and service at reasonable price,The breakfast doesn't have a huge amount of variety but it's clean and enjoyable.

Overall we loved it, great stay & location.

Great location, dont expect much service

You can't beat the beach but dont expect much from the staff. They never seem interested in helping you in anyway, except for the staff at the front desk. You can't room charge anything to the restaurant even if you can get their attention to get you a drink or a menu

The \"superior beach side room\" is not on the beach, its above the restaurant and gets all the noise, hence the lower price

Get a poolside room instead and hang out at the venues down the beach

Nice quiet place on the beach front it's perfect for a quiet chilled holiday . Not the best location if u like to shop or enjoy a lively night there are only a dozen or so hotels and small shops about . If u are going to the full moon the hotel dose have a shuttle bus which is a really good idea as its about 45/50 min drive away but would really recommend for S few chilled days away from the buzz of samui and the full moon

Room was lovely (215) with garden view. Staff were great. Breakfast plentiful . Stayed at start of monsoon so there was a lot of water about on the paths - which they constantly spray anyway!? Others have written about mould in bathroom - it's on the outside of the aircon pipe - well there's no ventilation so will develop regularly after cleaning - it's just not an issue.

Nice Rooms. Beautiful Grounds. Great Rates.

I stayed there for 5 days and loved it! The price is right and the grounds are lovely. Wifi was pretty fast and functional. Staff was very kind and helpful. I got a few good massages on the grounds as well.

One word of warning. The bike rental shop next door (NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE RESORT) will try and hit you hard for ANY scratches to their bikes. This is a common scam in Thailand. Our friend caught a rock on the bottom of his scooter. Very small scratch. Something you'd get out with a nail file. They hit him up for $200. They have your passport, so you're kind of stuck. Maybe try a different place. They're not so nice when they want your money.

Solid place without extras

Stayed for a few days. Wish we would have booked for longer. The island is perfect. Salad beach is especially beautiful at night with the many cheap romantic restaurants directly on the beach. The beach is more a snorkle beach than a swimming beach, it's very rocky and we cut our feet. Motobikes, pharmacy, shops, diving, etc. is all very close by. To go swimming you'd have to go to the other side of the island though. The pick up from the pier costs 150 baht per person. They charge you a lot for everything that's not included in the price. Our fan was broken and we told them and they pretty much looked at us wondering \"So what?\". The infrastructure is really neat compared to other Thai Islands though and the Hotel is really clean and fantastic for the price.

Amazing location, right by the beach

Salad beach has the best location ever, in one of the best beaches of Koh Phangan - Haad Salad. Staff is very helpful and the hotel area is very green and well treated. The pool was a little dirty and the rooms were not great but still definitely recommend this hotel for the location, restaurant (on the beach) and surroundings. P.S. Definitely rent a motorbike as taxis are too expensive.

Stayed 2 nights last year so couldn't wait to go back. We thought it had deteriorated fro last year and our room was very dated and general hotel areas were rather scruffy,the outside of our room was rather smelly and we had big problems flushing our toilet! We ate there 2 nights and the food is excellent with good service, the hotel is right on the beach so perfectly positioned.

We were a party of two couples. Most enjoyable stay with lovely white beach and swimming in both the sea and hotel pool.Hotel food was good and also visited other restuarants within walking distance.Met some lovely visitors also staying at the hotel. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. We also hired scooters to explore other parts of the island. Generally we had a ball. Will visit again.

Good for the money

I stayed there in early December for a few days while it was still in the low season and got the room for 650 thb per night. For that money it was excellent. Salad Beach is a nice shallow bay with a little bit of reef life. I caught the ferry over to Phangan from Bang Rak pier on Samui and hired a scooter just off the pier at Phangan and drove the 30 mins to the resort. Very easy to do. A scooter really opens up Phangan - salad beach might be a bit too condensed otherwise.

The resort is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic location, beautiful and peaceful area with clean beach on the doorstep. And if you want to go anywhere further you can just take a taxi ride.

Food in the restaurant is tasty and service is fantastic.

The only negative memory I have is morning hours receptionist. She's the most unpleasant and apathetic person I dealt with in the leisure industry. But afternoon/evening receptionist was absolutely superb!

Friendly, happy staff, wonderful beach!

We loved our weeks stay at Salad Beach Resort! We hardly left the beautiful grounds and beach at all. Very relaxing and the restaurant food is lovely... A very good Inhouse chef. The receptionist was lovely and went out of her way to help in any way she could. Cleaning and water daily. We will definitely return!

Great for those on a low budget

I thought Salad beach was perfect for those on a low budget, the place is old and worn, however it has all the basics, great WiFi everywhere, good airconditioning, hot water (not that you really need it), and they clean the rooms and change the sheets and towels everyday. I had a room in the main building and as far as I could tell it wasn't really any different to the bungalows but was a lot cheaper. The location is fantastic, right on the beach. I would avoid the resturant though, there are a couple of much nicer places to eat on salad beach.

Relaxing beach location

We were looking for a relaxing, away from the madness place to relax and unwind and that is exactly what we found. I initially only booked here for two nights and immediately extended our stay here. The staff were amazingly helpful and went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed. The rooms were perfect, clean, comfortable and really well priced.

The only hard decisions we needed to make were weather to sit by the pool or overlooking the beautiful beach.

There were lots of families and couples here so nothing mad happening after 10pm. Cocktails and excellent music could be found in the next bar. The sunset each night was amazing a real treat to see.

This was definatley the best palce that we stayed during our holiday.

Once I came to Salad Beach Resort, I transformed from a 30 something year old man into a little incompetent child. Everything is so strict there! For instance, they make you sign out for towels, the hotel room has a water tap that is a push down mechanism that allows you a little amount of water. They make sure you cannot seperate your key from they power card because they are so paranoid about you using the electricity while gone. No one in the restaurant can speak adequate English where you end up speaking like a baby to them. The good Points are the Beach is Nice, there is convenient stores nearby, and the pool is ok.

We had booked two nights but ended up staying four. We really liked the hotel. The staff is very friendly, they helped us with our ferries and train tickets. The room is very comfortable with very nice bed and pillows. Hot water was not that hot, but it wasn't really necessary to take hot showers.
The breakfast is pretty good, with eggs cooked any style, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and more. In the evening they set up tables on the sand for dinner. Good food and average prices.

Comfortable clean and quiet, steps to the beach!

Haad Salad is such a quiet beach on Koh Phangan, far away from the ruckus and partying of the southern beach (Haad Rin) where the full moon party takes place every month. There is not much going on around the resort - only a couple small shops and restaurants. You can rent a motobike to explore the neighboring beaches and snorkel or check out the sites. The resort is a good place to find peace and quiet, clean facilities, a nice pool, good food, friendly staff, and a nicely landscaped resort that feels almost luxurious compared to so many other accommodations around Thailand. They charged a lot to provide transportation to and from the full moon party because they know that people will pay to get there.

Excellent relaxing getaway place

I stayed at this resort in August for about a week. I was looking for a clean resort in a beautiful place, on the beach, and this is exactly what I got! The rooms were a bit dated but very clean, large and comfortable. The shower was working well, with hot water and good pressure. The wi fi was available in the rooms, but in the 2 rooms I stayed (I was upgrade on the last night!) it was very sketchy, often unavailable or too slow. However it was available on the restaurant and patio area. The patio with the sun beds is right on the beach, perfect for when you just want to stay in. Sunsets were beautiful, the view from the resort is unobstructed and you don’t get the shadow in the late afternoons that the resorts in the south part of the beach do. The beach itself is beautiful and isolated, however rides and scooters are available cheaply to get around and if you book a tour tours operators will come and pick you up at the resort. Overall it was a perfect choice for me!

No complaints about Salad Beach Resort. The room was comfy and cool. The fish BBQ was extremely tasty. And the staff were helpful. We enjoyed the stay and would recommend the hotel if you're planning to be in the area. The only downside is that the beach is basically unswimmable during low tide.

Great hotel with quiet beach

We stayed there for 2 nights during the full moon party. It's far from de full moon party but you have shuttle for 200 bahts per person. The beach is very quiet est clean. It's not shallow at all but very beautiful. The beach is not very big but just enough. Very good view. The hotel was very clean, and the rooms too (we tried 2 kinds of room and the 2 of them was great. Big and clean bathroom with big shower, and a balcony. The service was very good and people at reception was kind. It's a little bit far form other things to visit or do on the island but theres are taxis for 200 bahts per person OR, the best way to visit, rent a motorbike for 200 bahts per day !! Enjoy your stay!

if you're after quiet, relaxing beach break this is a perfect hotel but don't come here if you want lively!
the hotel is very pleasant with extremely friendly & helpful staff
the beach is idyllic, the pool is pleasant, the restaurant offers well priced delicious food the surcharge for wireless internet is very low, it's very common to be charged for wireless interent access on all samui islands we discovered
there are amenieties such as pharmacy, convenience store next door but i wouldn't support the description \"shopping centre\"
not all of the listed room facilities exist or are accurate eg jetted tubs don't exist, there were no \"deigner toiletries\", but basic toiletries were supplied, we had garden views not sea or mountain views
however in general i would say this is a perfectly pleasant hotel for those seeking tranquility & isolation

Vi likte oss godt på hotellet og nøt noen fine dager her. Ett problem vi hadde var at vi fikk et rom/villa hvor vi ble vekket hver morgen kl 0645 da de ansatte kom på jobb. Det var masse støy fra traller og ting som bråkte masse. Til frokost kunne de gjerne hatt betjening som var litt imøtekommende og hyggelige, og ikke sure og tverre. Står det at frokosten starter kl 0700 så bør den være klar og ikke slik som vi opplevde det. Grei strand og flott restaurant om kvelden, hyggelige priser og god service om kvelden

Das Ressort hat einen wunderschönen Garten, auf den man vom Zimmer aus blicken kann. Der Strand ist wunderschön und bietet die Möglickkeit zum Schnorcheln. Das Zimmer selbst ist leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen und weißt an der Decke leichte Schimmelspuren auf. Die Matratze ist leider so durchgelegen, dass man die Spiralen des Federkerns im Rücken spürt. Das Frühstück ist zufriedenstellend. In der Umgebung findet man diverse Shops und auch kleine thai food Lokale.

Solo posizione e ristorante si salvano!

Il resort è in un'ottima posizione dato che la maggior parte delle spiagge belle sono a nord. La camera,per essere superior, era pessima... pulizia carente, WC mal funzionante, rubinetto del lavandino a pulsante con durata 1 secondo, doccia pessima e no asciugacapelli in camera. Climatizzatore sul letto quindi molto fastidioso. In reception c'è molta confusione e spesso gli orari non sono rispettati (ad esempio la navetta delle 12 è partita alle 11h50,per fortuna eravamo in anticipo). la colazione è buona.

Durchaus empfehlenswert zum angemessenen Preis. Wir waren ganz oben im Hauptgebäude, mussten immer ganz schön Stufen laufen. Wenn man die Wahl hat etwas mehr zu investieren, würde ich die strandnäheren Bungalows empfehlen. Der Pool ist toll, die Liegen auch, der Strand schön. Nur die Lobbymitarbeiter sind irgendwie seltsam und nicht sonderlich freundlich. Ich hatte oft den Eindruck dass auf Thai über Gäste gesprochen und gelacht wurde. Das gehört sich nicht. Außerdem war das Englisch zum Teil wirkich schlecht.

Vi valgte hotellet for at undgå Full Moon Party freaks. Hotellet ligger ved Haad Salad, og det er svært at komme til andre områder (pga. bjerge) med mindre man bruger transfer eller lejer bil/scooter.

Bedste mad på stranden er ved Double Duke og Salad Hut.

Bemærk, at der er en del myg i området og ved poolen.

TIP: brug ikke butikkerne lige udenfor hotellet. Gå lidt op ad vejen og tag købmanden ved det første t-kryds. Han er halv pris af de andre butikker.

Bra resort, barnvänligt

Bungalown är sliten men funkar ok. En mysig resort för de som har barn. Stranden är ok, men ej badduglig(vi var där i juni)
Det som är minus är alla mygg! Men det är troligtvis för att hela resorten är omgiven av växter/träd .
Frukosten var bra, buff'e
I det stora hela är vi nöjda. Rummen är billiga.

Chambre confortable, climatisation efficace, calme garanti et environnement enchanteur (plage, piscine, massages, restaurant...).
Le personnel est très accueillant et très agréable.
Tous nos compliments au personnel de la réception qui a réussi à faire acheminer notre téléphone portable (oublié sur le desk lors du check out...)jusqu'au port de Nathon, sur l'île de KO Samui.
Un grand merci à toute l'équipe et à l'équipage du ferry de Lomprayah...

Willing and helpfull staff.
Everything is in very good shape - looks new and more luxury in comparison with other resort in the same \"price level\".
The Salad beach is very nice; good snorkeling place.

Nära stranden och barnvänligt

Det här hotellet ligger bra och det är det enda positiva jag har att säga om det. Restaurangchefen och två killar i servisen är de som är trevliga. En av receptionisterna är trevlig hon med. Mitt starkaste minne kommer att bli hur otrevliga de flesta var. Städningen, ingen har städat under sängen på flera år. Äckligt. Har sällan känt mig så ovälkommen.
Köpte transfer till piren, en resa på 20 minuter och avgången från hotellet var en timme före båtens avgång. Jag var ensam i taxin. När vi ska svänga av mot piren stannar chauffören och frågar om han kan plocka upp två till vid en strand 10 minuter bort. Svarade nej. Han strandade i det. Ringde hotellet och hon sa att hon skulle ringa upp honom men han struntade i vad hon sa. Han körde lite svartkörningar samtidigt. Dessa tjejer skulle inte ens till piren. Kom fram 20 minuter före avgång och 10 minuter efter incheckningen stängt. Lyckligtvis så är det Thailand, i ett europeiskt land jag fått köpa ny biljett. 20 minuters resan tog 45 minuter.

Hübsches Hotel in Strandnähe

Die Zimmer sind großzügig und werden täglich gereinigt. Gegenüber des Hotels kann man gleich einen Roller ausleihen. So ist man beweglich und kann jeden Ort der Insel erreichen.
Im Hotel werden auch verschiedene Ausflüge angeboten. Den Transfer zur Fähre sollte man gleich zu Beginn buchen, da es schon mal vorkommt, dass einige Fähren ausgebucht sind.
Die Küche ist ausgezeichnet. das Abendessen am Strand sollte man genießen. Das Frühstück ist für asiatische Verhältnisse gut und es gibt eine wunderbare Kaffeemaschine.
Über das Personal gibt es nichts nachteiliges zu berichten. Wir wurden verwöhnt und kein Wunsch blieb offen.
Wir werden sicher wieder kommen.

Hotel muy bonito

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, el personal muy atento, los desayunos muy completos, las habitaciones estan muy bien relacion calidad precio. El lugar es precioso, pero el único inconveniente son las cuestas que hay hasta llegar tu habitación que esta en mitad de la naturaleza.

Il manque un pilote dans cet avion.

J'ai séjourné au Salad Beach en novembre 2014 et il me semble que quelquechose â changé...pas dans le bon sens.Le coter plage, restaurant, détente est à rafraîchir.
On sent le manque d'un manager de qualité.
Cependant il faut relativiser et toujours se rappeller qu'à 42€ la nuit avec petit déjeuner on ne peut pas non plus avoir la prestation ***.

Best hotel at Salad Beach

We had a very nice stay at the Salad Beach Resort. Very friendly staff, big rooms, the Best breakfast, right on the beach, perfect with small children. We would definitely go back!

Schöne Anlage an Top Strand, Service ausbaufähig

Sehr schöne Anlage mit tollem Pool und Hoteleigenen Sonnenliegen direkt am Strand. Wir hatten keinen Bungalow sondern ein Zimmer mit Meerblick direkt über dem Restaurant inkl. Frühstück. Wir haben uns grundsätzlich sehr wohl gefühlt hier, va der Strand war zu unserer Zeit (Ende Nov/Anfang Dez) genial, klares Wasser, man konnte ein gutes Stück rein laufen, aber auch relativ früh schwimmen. Das Frühstück und das Restaurant sind allerdings überschaubar gut, wir hatten hier selten gut gegessen und waren meistens auswärts essen. Einzig negativ auffallend ist das Service Personal im Restaurant/Strandbereich. Hier hatte während unseres Aufenthaltes keiner wirklich Bock auch nur irgendwas zu arbeiten....
Zimmer waren ansonsten sauber und wir würden durchaus wieder kommen...

Ruhige Lage an sehr schönem Strandabschnitt

Das Hotel liegt etwas Abseits des Trubels, der sich Anfang Sept. ohnehin sehr abgeflahaut hatte. Das Zentrum ist aber trotzdem in fünf Gehminuten zu erreichen. Die Aussicht beim Frühstück und beim sonnen ist herrlich. Bei guter Sicht,, d.h. vor Vollmond kann man sicher auch prima schnorcheln. Aufgrund des flachen Wassers und der Steine ist der Strand deshalb aber zum schwimmen nicht geeignet. Preisniveaus des Essens und der Getränke empfanden wir gegenüber der Konkurrenz als zu hoch. Klimaanlage im Zmmer störte die Ruhe ein wenig.

Nettes Resort am Strand renovierungsbedürftig.

Trotz eines upgrades enttäuscht, Betten durchgelegen, kleiner überfüllter Pool mit vielen Familien. Lage und Strand sind schön. Baden erst nach 150 m möglich da zu flach.

Un peu déçus en arrivant. On ne retrouve pas la sympathie habituelle des thaïlandais dans cet hôtel. Cependant bien placé. Très belle plage. Très belle vue. Mais c'est un peu l usine ! Dommage !

Vi havde valgt et superior-room i mainbuilding - det skulle vi ikke ha' gjort. Værelset lugtede af mug og var ikke specielt rent, og badeværelset var mørkt og skummelt. Der var generelt ikke meget superior overværelset.
Da vi bad om at blive flyttet til et andet værelse, tilbød de os upgrade til et bedre værelse fra dagen efter - for egen regning. Vi valgte at takke nej, og bad om at få pengene retur. Da værelset var bestilt gennem Hotels.com, var det ikke muligt at få pengene retur, da seneste afbestillingsdato var overskredet. Vi valgte i stedet at booke et værelse på et andet hotel, hvor vi har været før, og lod Salad Beach beholde pengene for vores reservation.
Det skal dog siges at stranden og restauranten på Salad Beach så rigtig hyggelig og lækker ud.

Die Bucht Haad Salad ist an sich sehr schön und das Hotelpersonal handelt zügig.

Unsere Bettwäsche wurde 5x!!! gewechselt, da immer Flecken auf den Lacken oder Kissen waren. Genauso dreckig waren die Sitzkissen im Restaurant bzw. die Handtücher. Der Strand scheint nur mit Sand aufgeschüttet zu sein, da Säcke an manchen Stellen darunter hervorschauen und man kümmert sich nicht weiter darum. Insgesamt müsste einiges ersetzt werden, da es alt und kaputt ist.

》Hätten wir stornieren können, hätten wir dies sofort getan. Man könnte viel aus dem Hotel machen, jedoch scheint keinerlei Geld investiert zu werden, da nicht einmal kleine Dinge wie kaputte bzw dreckige Kissen ausgetauscht werden.

Très Bien pour farniente

Hotel très bien pour passer quelques jours de farniente.
Piscine sympa et accès à très belle plage.
Resto de l hotel pour le petit dejeuner ou autre très correct. D autres restos disponibles sur la plage. Possibilités de plongées classiques ou avec tuba.
Seul bémol taxi avec prix pour touristes si vous ne voulez pas louer de scooter

Inget för oss...

Detta är ett ställe som har sett sina bästa dagar. Hela området luktar illa av avlopp eller liknande. Rummen är något slitna, men framförallt är det mycket insekter på hela området. Speciellt runt restaurangen som är täckt av ett stort träd där det regnar ner diverse kryp till maten. Vill man sitta bra är det beachen som gäller på kvällen, det är svårslaget med brinnande facklor, solnedgång och bra mat för pengarna. Förstår att det är populärt bland barnfamiljer då det finns en bra pool och är relativt låga priser på mat etc. och den burmesiska personalen i restaurangen var bra på att underhålla barn av alla åldrar med bus. Ett starkt tips om man ändå bestämmer för att bo här är att gå till stället längst bort till vänster på stranden med massa lyktor - fantastisk mat och trevlig personal!

Fint område, men meget lytt mellom rommene

Harde senger og ekstremt lytt både mellom rommene og ut til gangen. Ellers var rommene på grei størrelse og uteplassen var veldig fint. Veldig langgrunt vann, så ikke de beste forholdene for bading. Hotellet arrangerer snorkletur for 750 baht per person, som vi likte godt!

Super Resort mit 1A Essen

Das Resort ist sehr gut gepflegt, hat einen eigenen Pool und liegt direkt am Meer. Liegestühle stehen sowohl am Pool, als auch an der Meer Terrasse zur Verfügung.
Das Frühstück ist sehr vielfältig und super lecker! (Das Beste was wir auf den thailändischen Inseln hatten)
Auch ansonsten ist für jeden Gaumen etwas dabei.
Absolute Empfehlung, wir würden hier wieder hinfahren!!!

Prachtige tuin en vlak aan t strand

Vriendelijk personeel, mooie tuin. Prima ontbijt; waarbij helaas wel steeds erg veel vliegen waren. Kamer in orde een beetje gedateerd qua inrichting, maar dat vinden wij niet zo belangrijk.

Sehr gutes Hotel. Für uns 2 bester Strand der Insel, schwimmen aber nicht möglich,da das Wasser nur bis max. zur Hüfte ging. Aber klar und weicher weißer Sand. Direkt neben an gutes und günstiges Restaurant mit musikalischen Personal!
Frühstück als Buffet.
