We arrived as a couple with two teenage girls and booked 2 villas.
This was our fifth time in Haad Yao, but our first time staying at this hotel — and it did not disappoint!

The surroundings are amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious, and offered beautiful sea views. Room service was efficient and convenient.

Breakfast was excellent — delicious and varied, a perfect way to start the day.

Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a beautiful location. 🌴🌊

Nice and well built bungalows. Also in
General a well kept resort, clean, new. The beach in front of it is nice and has nice spots for snorkeling.
Be careful though, in this area you are far from everything and to go east of
The island takes 40 or 60 minutes. Not to mention haad rin.

Also the food at the resort is quite expensive and it’s not the classic thai resort but feels a bit like a package place.

Amazing place just next to the beautiful beach. Garden view hut was simple but comfortable and clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Daily cleaning, changing the towels. Breakfast was delicious, 10 different options to choose plus coffee,juice,water etc. Highly recommended for people who wants to relax.

Loved it! The staff were wonderful and it's in paradise! Best resort along Haad Yao and has lots of beautiful areas to relax right by the beach - and the pool! We'd stayed in one of the fancier Salas and then decided to stay longer, so moved to the only available space in one of the little rooms at the back of the resort and that was still absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely loved our stay here, in fact we wish we could stay longer. Such great value for what you get. Without a doubt the friendliest most attentive staff we have had during our entire time in Thailand. We aren’t usually “resort” people, but were very happy that we were able to get the best of both worlds by staying in the budget bungalow, and still getting to enjoy the facilities.

10/10 for the breakfast that’s included. Room was turned down every day, new towels, water bottles. Every member of the staff friendly, smiling.

Can’t wait to come back one day! Thank you for having us.

Worst hotel on Haad Yao, bad service, trick you to book, then its x and y happens. Outdated - look at the picture.
They should change the staff who handles the bookings since they use scam methods and want payment in cash afterwards to get what you thought you booked = scam from personell.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Long Bay Resort. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, modern and we got daily cleaning, water new towels whenever needed. The breakfast is nice too, as well as the pool area. It´s walkable to many other restaurants along the beach and just a very nice base to be at. We will definitely come back and stay longer next time. Thank you for making our holiday so very wonderful.

We had a lovely stay in March. The bungalow was beach front, every morning made myself tea in the room and sat on our deck watching the waves as the sun came up. Loved being right on the beach! It was clean, no bug issues in the room, warm shower, good AC. The bed was bit firm but was king size which was nice. The pool was lovely being beachfront as well. Buffet breakfast by the sea was lovely every morning. There are a number of great restaurants down the beach perfect for sunsets which are spectacular on this beach. The ocean tides were moderately high the first half of the day which was great for swimming. We enjoyed snorkeling off the beach and SUP boarding rentals on the beach. Also Kayak rentals too! It was quiet at night being on the north end of the beach. Easy to rent bikes closeby and go to other beaches. The hotel arranged a taxi back to the pier for us for a great price.

It's a bit secluded a little more north on the island. Nice staff, much more expensive for drinks and food than other places close by, but breakfast was included in the rate from hotels.com and was a fantastic start to the day. Beach was nice and the bungalows are super simple, clean, and working air-con.

A simple 3 star with great access to the beach

We checked in for some R&R after a busy week in Koh Samui following the wedding of a friend. The check in was fine although there was some confusion on whether I'd already paid for breakfast or not. Despite this the girl at the front desk was happy to give me breakfast and clear up with booking.com later. The staff were friendly, taking bags to our room etc and had given us a nice room near the pool as we were travelling with a baby. The room was clean but very simple and the fixtures and fittings were tired, especially the bathroom which could have done with a makeover. That said, most importantly the A/C was working!! The pool bar served simple and tasty food and good prices and the breakfast was good. Would stay again.

We found long bay resort to be clean tidy and well run. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels and drinking water.
Downside was that the garden huts are very small ,lacking a fridge , and only one socket . Safes are not provided in the garden huts but passports or valuables can be placed in the hotel safe.
Overall it’s location on the beach , it’s pool and gardens make this a place that we will return to.

Nothing like the pictures

The stay with this hotel started off terribly. We ended up waiting 2 hours in the sun for the hotel taxi to pick us up. One of the girls from the hotel was waiting with us and was visibly annoyed as well that she couldn’t get ahold of th driver. When we got to the rooms, they looked nothing like the pictures, the room was musky, outdated grungy. We decided to try out the spa services thinking the rooms were a one-off. When we got there the girls were sleeping. Three of us wanted pedicures, and it took them 20 mins to start. While two people were being worked on, a guy came over for a massage and was taken right away. Leaving one person to do all three of us. The guy with us didn’t have anything done but cream rubbed on his toes! They charged us all for the “services”, we didn’t get the discount the front desk had said we would and all of us left very unhappy. We went for lunch after that and the food was terrible. Plates came out missing key ingredients that were listed on the menu. Overall the experience was not very good. I would recommend spending more to go somewhere else. This place was very disappointing.

after arrival i thought this place was too far away from everything on the island and decided not to stay. They didnt give me a refund, which is just horrible service. I understand its a policy but never had a problem before doing so when changing my mind on arrival. Wouldnt go back even if the room was given to me for free.

It is my most nice place in Ko Pha Ngan

I had an excellent time when I stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks in April 2017 - it was outstanding. The rooms (my room - ocean view Deluxe Cottage) are beautiful and the pool area stunning. Food was good, with a wide choice of interesting options. One of the best parts of this hotel are its staff too - I can't speak highly enough of them. Changing flights or any activities the staff helped me with everything I asked for and this with warmth and kindness. Amornwan Sae-khu and restaurant and cleaning staff in particular were incredible friendly. For all of these reasons, The Long Bay Resort is a very special place for me.

We had a basic bungalow that was probably the smallest in our entire stay in Thailand, but it was clean and the bedding was clean and nice, A/C worked great, WiFi was slow in the bungalow. Great beach front and pool. Drinks and food (particularly the buffet breakfast at 400B each) were very overpriced which was disappointing. Would stay again though for the right price. There's not much else in Haad Yao in terms of eats except whatever you can find along the beach, and a great italian spot off the main road called Locco's.

Disappointing start to the stay, with a long wait at check in and confusion during our lunch once we arrived.
After that the staff were helpful, especially the one receptionist who advised about some good trips.
The room/Hut was 15steps off the beach which was the main reason we booked that place.
Breakfast was good as well as the wifi at the resort.
After a shakey start we really enjoyed it and would still recommend the resort although I'd probably try somewhere else on the island if I was to return.

I wish that somebody told me the bungalows were lit with awful florecent lighting. And the roof for the bungalow was so low you could only see out if sitting down.
The people who worked here were quite kind but generally had to ask 2 or 3 times to get something accomplished.
The beach BBQ is fantastic.

Get away from the touts

It was great to find a place with a long beach to walk on past a few resorts without being hassled, very friendly and not over commercialised. We booked originally for two nights but extended twice and ended up staying six nights The bar staff at the beach bar (Pugh and Greter) were great. Also the restaurant the cove(at the end of the north end of the bay) which we only visited the last two nights of our stay was a real find.

The staff are charming and that's about the best you can say about this awful hotel. We paid extra for an ocean front room - no mention of the construction going on both sides of our room 8am-8pm, the defunct pool, the open drains spilling out onto the beach or the suspicious sudden lack of ice and rancid drinks we were repeatedly served. They lie about when the construction will finish and when the pool can be used. On complaint, they moved our room but there was still noise. They make you pay upfront so you have no leverage, the food is awful and cold. They failed ring us for our wake up call, meaning we nearly missed our flight. The service was appallingly slow (one hour for dinner) and the shower was tepid and barely dribbled out. The room was big but the bed springs stuck in your back all night. It is a 40 minute trip to Haad Rin. I have had better $3 a night hotels in Cambodia. I recommend staying anywhere but here.

Wundervolles Ressort an einem traumhaften Strand mit mega Sonnenuntergängen. Schöner Poolbereich mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und Blick aufs Meer. Der Bungalow war in einem idyllischen Garten mit schöner Terrasse. Das Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und das Zustellbett hatte eine zu harte Matratze, ansonsten war alles in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, jedoch hätte das Personal im Restaurant etwas fixer und auch freundlicher sein können. Man musste sehr lange warten. Wir haben uns aber sehr wohlgefühlt und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Kamers zijn schoon en erg netjes. Ontbijt is matig en onze voorkeur gaat uit naar een ontbijtbuffet. Ongeveer 7 jaar geleden was dat nog zo en ook de Thaise sfeer op het strand is verdwenen. Geen BBQ meer op het strand en simpele Thaise restaurantjes.

Fantastisk sted

Vi har haft det mest fantastiske ophold på Long Bay Resort. Vi havde en beachfront hytte ( hvilket kan betale sig at betale lidt ekstra for) med den mest fantastiske udsigt til vandet og de vidunderlige solnedgange.
Personalet er helt igennem søde imødekommende , smilende, og står klar til at hjælpe, hvis det skulle være nødvendigt.
Dejlig morgenmad fra restauranten. Et par gange om ugen kom der en DJ og spillede om aftenen, stedet er populært og besøges af mange fra de omkringliggende resorts.
Alt er pænt og rent og der er rengøring dagligt. Haven og udendørsarealerne er holdt til perfektion og er rigtig flot. Skønt swimmingpool areal, med solbrikse.
Vi har absolut intet at udsætte på dette skønne sted, så det kan kun anbefales at prøve det. Long bay er et sted for alle aldre, der var en del yngere par med børn.

Mysigt och lugnt ställe, vi ändrade bokningen och la till en natt direkt hos hotellet och var tvungna att byta rum, vilket de fixade genom att hämta oss.
Fantastisk strand, frukosten var magisk och personalen underbara.
I visst behov av renovering och dåligt tryck i duschen, men så avkopplande och mysigt ställe!

Die Hotelanlage ist schön angelegt. Die Bungalows bieten viel Platz sind hedoch beteits un die Jahre gekommen. Eine Renovierung wäre wünschenswert. Tägliche Zimmerreinigung und frische Handtücher. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und man hat eine gute Auswahl. Es wird nicht in Buffetform angeboten. Man wählt täglich sein Menü.
Die Lage ist durch den Strand vor der Tür nicht zu toppen. Fußläufig gibt es Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und auch Restaurants. Taxi befindet sich direkt vor dem Hotel.

Très bel hôtel dans un coin de l'île pas trop surchargé.
Le bungalow est très bien , peu être pas luxieux mais est bien équipé.
La piscine et l'espace restaurant est très agréable et on y mange très bien .
La plage devant l'hôtel est très bien et entretenue.
Possibilité de louer des scooters par le biais de l'hôtel.
Le personnel est très sympa et arrangeant .
J'y retournerai sans hésitation !

Ich war bereits zum 2.Mal im Long Bay Resort. 2019 das erste Mal war ich ziemlich begeistert. Leider sind die Unterkünfte mittlerweile sehr in die Jahre gekommen und es wurde anscheinend die letzten Jahre gar nix getan. Relativ neu ist das Restaurant, welches verschiedene Sets als inkludiertes Frühstück anbietet. Dauert zwar länger, aber alles frisch.
Der Service ist nach wie vor 1A in fiesem Resort. Sauberkeit war in Ordnung und das Personal super freundlich und immer bemüht.
Mit ein bisschen Liebe für die Räumlichkeiten wäre es echt ein tolles Resort, was ruhig gelegen ist aber dennoch genügend verschiedene Möglichkeiten zum Essen am Strand oder an der Straße bietet. Ebenso gibt es Massage am Strand, fußläufig zB noch einen 7eleven, eine Apotheke ..

Aufpassen bei den Gartenhütten.

Wir hatten zu zweit die äußerst preiswerten Gartenhütten für insgeamt 4 Nächte gebucht.

Zu unseren Erfahrungen:

Bei der Ankunft haben wir erfahren, dass die Gartenhütten wohl überbucht wurden, weshalb wir in der ersten Nacht in einer preislich teureren und größeren Hütte übernachten haben.

Nach dieser eher unruhigen Nacht (Gecko im Zimmer & Schlange vor der Eingangstür ca. 25-30cm), sind wir am nächsten Tag in die Gartenhütte gebracht worden.

Leider entsprach der Zustand der Hütte aufgrund des alters und des augenscheinlich ungepflegten Zustandes nicht unseren Erwartungen. Die Decke sah schlimm aus, in dem Boden der Außenwand befanden sich Löcher. Zu allem Überfluss befanden sich im Duschbereich jede Menge schwarze Larven/Würmer. Das Hotelpersonal hat direkt auf unseren Hinweis reagiert und die Insekten entfernt. Da sich die Tiere vermutlich in den Fugen und im Duschabfluss befunden haben, war der Duschbereich wieder nach 15 min voll damit. Gegen einen Aufpreis von 500 Baht konnten wir in ein anderes „höherpreisiges Zimmer“ für diese Nacht.

Wir haben uns dann dafür entschieden, das Resort nach 2 Nächte zu verlassen und woanders zu schlafen. Aufgrund der geringen Verfügbarkeit war das andere Hotel 10x so teuer wie die Gartenhütte, uns war es das aber wert.

Es gab jedoch auch Lichtblicke, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und ist verständnisvoll mit der Situation umgegangen. Das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr gut.

Für alles andere kann man sich ein Moped mieten....

As all accommodations on this beach, also this family long bay resort is beautiful located. Only add breakfast if you like having choice of exclusively western breakfast (bread).
Friendly employees but dissapointing service levels, lots of miscommunication due to lack of English skills I assume.

We spent 5 days in the garden hut and we loved it.
The bungalow is not big but comfortable and the bathroom is new. The garden is beautiful and swimming pool too. The resort has improved a lot and now there is a nice bar where they serve an excellent breakfast and in the evening good cocktails.
Soon will open a restaurant too but outside there are other places to eat. The beach is one of the best one on the island.
Staff is extremely kind and friendly and always smiley.
We will come back!!

Long Bay Resort

Majoitus sijaitsee saaren pohjoispuolella, joten alue on suhteellisen rauhallinen. Välittömässä läheisyysess muutama muu majoituspalvelu, ruokapaikka ja kauppa. Mikäli haluaa liikkua vapaammin on skoottein vuokraaminen edullinen ja mukava tapa tutustua muuhun saareen.

Itse majoituspaikassa on muutama erityyppinen majoitus vaihtoehto. Vietin aikani perustasoisessa bungalowissa, joss ilmastointi, parivuode ja saniteettitilat. Bungalowin edustalla oma terassi. Majoitus mukavan kompaktin kokoinen ja huone sisälsi lähes kaiken tarvittavan, joskin jääkaappia jäin kaipaamaan. Myöskään tallenlokeroa ei huoneessa ollut. Päivittäinen huoneen siivous ja vesipullot sisältyivät palveluun.

Majoituspaikan alue oli mukava ja viihtyisä. Maksullinen aamupala tarjoiltiin merenrannan läheisyydessä, josta suoraan näkymä merelle. Alueella myös uima-allas, joka myöskin meren rannan läheisyydessä. Henkilökunta todella mukavaa ja palvelualtista.

Super Lage, vorallem die Beachfront Bungalows sind ein Paradies, man fällt vom Bett an den Strand, Meeresrauschen, Ruhe, nettes Personal
Gefehlt hat nur ein Mückennetz, was ich schon ziemlich störend fand. Frühstück minialistisch, dafür der Ausblick und das Lächeln von Mey (Frühstücksdame) gleichen das wieder vollkommenen aus

Le complexe est vieillissant. Des travaux doivent être engagés à l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur afin de retrouver la splendeur que nous avons connu il y a 10 ans . De mauvaises odeurs dans la salle de bain et toilettes. Le personnel est charmant et réactif. L'emplacement parfait avec ombre ou soleil face à la plage juste devant. Nous y retournerons afin d'encourager et d'aider les propriétaires à entamer des travaux de rénovation.

Wir haben uns nicht sehr willkommen gefühlt. Man hat uns bei Anreise nicht wirklich erwartet. Na ja die gebuchte Leistung Frühstück konnte nicht erbracht werden da das Restaurant beschlossen war. Uns würde ein Zimmerupgrade angeboten. Die Anlage war Baustelle. Am Pool wurde gearbeitet es war Laut und es hat nach Lösungsmittel gerochen also nicht nutzbar. Liegen waren alle in Reparatur. Baustelle pur, nicht die richtige Umgebung für eine Reise mit kleinem Kind. Wir haben die Anlage vor ein paar Jahren in einem deutlich besseren Zustand erlebt. Entweder umbauen oder Gäste beherbergen. Gleichzeitig ist das keine gute Idee.

Kiva ranta ja allas.

Rauhallisella rannalla sijaitseva resortti. Aika vaatimattomat pienet mökit, mutta puhdasta ja viihtyisää oli. Kiva allasalue aivan rannan tuntumassa. Hotellin ravintolassa ruoka ihan ok, pizzat erityisen hyviä. Rauhaa rakastaville pariskunnille todella rentouttava paikka. Phanganin parhaat rannat ovat länsipuolella olevat, Secret beach, Haad Yao (jossa longbay resort sijaitsee), Salad beach ja kaikkein paras, mutta myös kaukaisin (4,7km) Mae Haad beach jonne ajaa 10 minuutissa skootterilla.

Gutes Resort mit 2 großen Nachteilen.

Das Resort ist Ok. Das Zimmer ist groß genug. Das Bett ist OK. Klimaanlage funktioniert einwandfrei.
2 Punkte haben mir nicht gefallen.
Das Frühstück ist nicht gut. Immer das gleiche und wenig Auswahl.
Im Meer kann man nur paar Stunden am Tag baden. Das Wasser ist wegen starker Ebbe einfach zu flach.

Fantastiskt läge på fantastisk strand och stor och mysig bungalow. Receptionisten var väldigt hjälpsam, tack för all hjälp.❤️
Frukosten jättebra och likaså personalen vid frukostbuffen.
Kunde önskat lite fler madrasser till solsolarna så man slapp leta för att hitta en.
Tyvärr pågick det öppen droganvändning i hotellets strandbar vilket är väldigt konstigt att hotellet accepterade.

Bungalow und Service waren oK, Die Außenanlagen vom Pool und vom Restaurant waren schlecht, stark abgenutzt und teilweise defekt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mängel wurden nach Beanstandung sofort behoben. Das Essen zum Frühstück war eintönig und lieblos.

wir mussten für einen upgrade bezahlen, dass gebuchte entsprach nicht den Beschreibungen von Hotel.com,,, Es gab kein Restaurant am Abend mehr....kein Kühlschrank im Bungalow usw.
die Mitarbeiter tun uns...waren immer freundlich und hilfsbereit...
