This was the most scenic and beautiful hotel we stayed in our entire Peru trip. We could see the mountains from our balcony. Secluded hotel. Perfect for a quiet getaway. We stayed here for one night. The room was huge and beds very comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety and the staff helped us get some vegetarian options from the kitchen made for us. The restaurant and cafe onsite had good options. Some things to note which doesn’t take away any stars from the review but good to be aware of. There is no other entertainment on the property to keep kid busy. The wood flooring was creaking a lot in our room. Maybe needs some attention. Overall we loved our stay here and it was a wonderful property.

The Property is secluded but in the mountains and makes it feel like you are away from the city. The property is well maintained. The Staff is super friendly specially their Manager Suzan. She went over and above to make our stay very comfortable. She helped us with the area attractions, restaurants and shopping. She was very sweet. The restaurants at the hotel has great food also. It was a pleasant surprise that they had little ice parlour too. Overall amazing stay. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful location with delicious food

The grounds were gorgeous with blooming flowers and fountains. The setting was spectacular with the mountains surrounding the hotel. It’s a bit isolated from the bigger towns in the Sacred Valley with limited shopping and services.

The breakfast bar was delicious with lots of choices. Lots of food options throughout the day and evening.

Antigua Casa de San Blas is excellent! Check-in process smoothly, rooms spotless and the colonial style is just beautiful.
Location is good and relatively close to the Plaza de Armas, however, you need to climb a steep road to get back to the hotel.

Check in took a very long time and after talking to 3 people about our VIP Free beverage per person most of us did not receive this. We had the worst waiter we’ve ever had at the main restaurant. Staff in the restaurant were unfriendly and not accommodating. We were a large group at an off time in the afternoon when they weren’t busy. Grounds are beautiful but not sure we’d stay there again because of the staff

The property is extremely nice, well kept and very conveniently located. The only critics I would make is to include a coffe machine in the rooms, improve the breackfast service (extremely slow!) and be better connected with Expedia (Eventhogh I paid the room through expedia, they still wanted to charge it again!). It was probably a confussion but if I wouldnt have checked I would have been charged this.

When arriving at the property it is impressive and gives a false feeling of good things to come. Checkin was a long process with no explanation of any amenities beyond their restaurant. We were walked to our room and it appeared very nice, but after the porter left, things quickly turned. First, the wifi did not work and they had to send someone with a ‘special’ password to get it to work. Then there was no hot water and we had to call again and wait for that to be fixed. Had to call again for bathrobes. Finally gave up on calling for any dishes or teacups to use for tea or coffee (despite having a kitchenette with microwave. Then noticed long black hair in the bathroom (claimed to be disinfected)
Their restaurant offered only Italian food, which was mediocre (their ‘Caprese’ = no mozzarella). The service was very nice. During dinner we saw them setting up fire pits in the courtyard and went to finish our wine at one after dinner, only to be told they were private and had been reserved. Ok, so I went to the front desk to ask about getting a fire pit. They had reserved the day before, I was told. When I asked why I he not been offered the option at checkin, I was told they were a private party and had reserved. No better explanation or clarification. 15 min later, after I was in my bathrobe and relaxing, I was called and told ‘now’ they could do a fIré. A little late. Nothing offered from the hotel at checkout. I wasn’t expecting money back, but some goodwill.

The hotel room was very nice and in general the place is beautiful. I think they could improve the food a bit. This place is mostly used by tourists that travel from there to Cuzco, Machu Pichu and other nearby archaeological sites. There is not much to see in the little village where the hotel is located, but there is one small ruins that you can visit. The surroundings are just gorgeous with all the mountains.

Our room was cold and space heater was broken. Hair dryer was old and only had cold air - requested a new one and 2nd one was the same as the first!
Hated all of the construction noise that started at 7, even on the weekend 😤

Great Hotel. Shower temp difficult to regulate

Very nice hotel. we stayed here (2) different nights. on the first night, there were very few guests and they did a great job taking care of us.
On the second night there was a full sized bus parked outside and a corresponding large group of guests which resulted in much longer wait times.

On both stays we found the regulator of the hot water for our shower to be below expectations. We turned the cold water on 100% and then gently nudged the hot water to get a shower that was the right temp, however even while taking the shower the temperature could go from comfortable to cold to very hot. The front desk sent a technician to 'fix' it but nothing changed.

This place was very beautiful and quiet. The food at the restaurant and the pizza place were incredible and the staff was even more incredible! The internet was not good. I had to go to the lobby for them to reconnect me, but every single time I used WiFi, I had to connect all over again. I was a bit disappointed with the hotel transportation. I am extremely grateful for the taxi driver who did not overcharge me like the hotel wanted to. Overall, it was a beautiful and peaceful hotel.

We came back from MP just before 10pm and, even though it was closing time, the staff at the Pasta and Pizza (Nevula(sp?) and Janas) made us dinner. ~~ At the front desk, Shirley (named after Temple) made an extraordinary effort to accommodate our numerous requests for transportation (connecting 3 speakers and 3 different languages). ~~

Stopped just 1 night on our way to Aguas Calientes, Was a delightful property, no hesitation recommending it. Bar and food was great, found the curtains didn’t guarantee privacy or block out the morning sun, also had a downstairs room, the noise of people above us started very early!

- The hotel is clean and well maintained, and has beautiful gardens and views.
- Free coca tea at the reception. Complimentary pisco sour at the bar.
- Free WiFi. It was a bit slow but considering the location it was completely acceptable.
- There is a nice cozy restaurant named Tawa Restaurante only a minute walk away.
- Hotel staff speaks English very well.
- Buffet breakfast has a good selection and begins very early in the morning for guests who need to take an early train to Machu Picchu which we highly appreciated.
- Shuttle service from the airport upon request. USD70.00 must be prepaid online at the time of reservation. Our driver Fernando was a very nice person and spoke English very well. He kindly offered a ride from the hotel to PeruRail station in Urubamba (10min drive) on the next morning and also from PeruRail station in Ollantaytambo to Cusco (2h drive) after our trip to Machu Picchu at a reasonable price.

The property was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, however, with only one heater unit for three beds it became a bit chilly at night. The restaurants on site were delicious and the breakfast was impressive. My only complaint was scheduling transportation through the hotel vs. scheduling your own taxi; often the hotel was quoting American dollar prices at nearly double the soles rate (be careful with this). When we corrected them on price they then adjusted it accordingly.

No one speaks English. They do not assist with tour expeditions. There is no ATM machine and there is no Spa service offered. The when showering the water temperature constantly changed. There is no heater in the room, other than a portable heater they provided. Be careful with the outlets. The outlets are 220 - need to ask for a converter - which they do provide.

We were immediately impressed with the service levels upon arrival. This was the case throughout our stay. The hotel with its expansive layout was impressive with beautiful grounds including an old lit up church. Tried all three restaurants that were on the premises. Excellent Peruvian cuisine at the main restaurant. Excellent breakfast provided. We would certainly recommend this hotel to our friends.

Booked a so called matrimony room which looked very nice on the picture with great view and king size bed. When we checked-in we were given a room without a window to look outside and very dark, 100% the opposite what we expected. We asked to change the room which was done without a problem, to a room on the ground floor with the window facing the walk way where lots of guests are passing to the restaurant. Conclusion, curtains have to be kept closed so other guests want stare in your room.

Apart from that, rooms have wooden floors, we could hear every single step of the top floor guests when they prepared to leave the room at 4:00 am and when they entered the room at night around 11:00pm, sleeping not possible when top room guests were in the room and not sleeping.

The hotel itself is really nice but only enjoyable if you have a top floor room if you want to get a good night sleep.

Great hotel for couples or families

This is a great hotel. Book it. I would give it 10/10 but for th fact that the rooms are a little dated. They are spotless and have all he facilities you need
Breakfast is a great buffet with eggs prepared on an Aga like gas fired stove and the rest of the buffet is more than adequate.
The pizza restaurant is great value by international standards and offers fresh made pizza that is cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. Staff are friendly and the location really works as it’s near enough to access Maccupichu and also Cusco. I would advise staying here before Cusco to avoid altitude sickness as it’s at a lower height. ( around 2200 meters)

Outstanding service at front desk and in restaurant — convenient luggage storage if staying overnight at Aguas Calientes (town at base of Machu Picchu) and returning to hotel
Location is about 5-minute car ride (but not walkable) to Urubamba train station to Machu Picchu.
Room is clean and spacious in size, with beautiful view of garden.

It was beautiful. Staff was friendly. Quiet peaceful location.
We were offered 2 water bottles a day the first 3 days. The 4 th day we did not get them so my husband went to ask . We were charged 14 soles and told only the first day were these offered. That left a bad taste in me. Overpriced and tacky. For goodness sake this is High altitude place and you need to keep you customers hydrated. All the 3 other hotel chains we visited gave us daily water!!

Large hacienda style for bus groups

We wanted a stopover after MPicchu before Cusco. The expansive grounds and gardens of this older hacienda style hotel had creaky timber flooring and dated bathrooms, but the rooms were comfortable.
Nice bar and restaurant.
We hired a taxi to take us to Moray, and the salt terraces -21/2 hours. Used the same taxi next day to Cusco via Chincero - lovely tranquil change and interesting people.

Beautiful place to stay in the Sacred Valley

We visited this beautiful hotel with our two teenagers. It is located in a little town called Yucay. It is an ideal location if you plan to visit the Sacred Valley. The hotel, food and service were excellent. We were very satisfied during our stay. Lower Altitude in the Sacred Valley

Beautiful, rustic hotel with lots of history. Absolutely excellent staff! Food in main dining room and cafes is first class with great service. Best to skip in buffet lunch, however. Interesting hiking trail leaves from beside the hotel up into the mountains. Great location to base your visit to entire Sacred Valley.

We went back to this hotel after 15-16 years, and although nowadays there are more options in the Sacred Valley, our choice was the right one -the hotel is wonderful not only due to its \"small town\" setting but also because the service is really efficient and, more importantly, very warm -they make you feel like being part of a big family. Another plus for someone looking to enjoy a bit of peace is that its location beats crowded Urubamba

Beautiful grounds in peaceful setting

large comfortables rooms, excellent rerstaurant on site,very good service. Only thing we did not see was air conditioning ,although the evenings were so cool that we did not neede it in May 2016 . Overall rating very good, staff excellent,facilities very good,cleanliness excellent and comfort excellent.

Nice Rustic Hotel beautiful surroundings

Comfortable rustic hotel in Urubamba Valley. Pretty gardens and surroundings.
A few miles from town . Restaurant food can be improved if you are eating at hotel .
