If you don’t you are doing yourself a disservice and missing one of the best massages ever! The restaurant is fabulous and lots of the fresh produce is grown right on the property. Lizzy Wasi is a gem. After all the hustle of Cusco, we wanted to get away to a slower pace and more countryside. Urubamba and the sacred valley fit the bill. After reading reviews of Lizzy Wasi (Lizzy is Lisa and Wasi is house in the native Qechewan language) I booked and was so glad. It’s everything the other top reviews said it was. Excellent! It seems a little strange going there as it’s behind some older buildings an in kind of a dirt alley behind, but place is amazing. It’s small enough that you get to know the staff and they really do what they can to make your stay perfect. They arranged a couples massage, got our laundry done and back in our room during the day and even delivered a sack breakfast to us the night before leaving at 4 AM for Machu Picchu. You need to walk out to the Main Street and flag a tuk tuk down for a ride into Urubamba to enjoy that town for only 2 soles. Loved this place!

The restaurant attached to the hotel has decent menu options for Breakfast and Dinner. The hotel property is maintained very well and had Alpacas on the hotel property that you can pet! Lizzy Wasi was a memorable experience while in the Valle Sagrado. The property grounds are beautiful and create a relaxing space. The staff are beyond wonderful, making sure each detail is taken care of. The space is contained and safe, so much that our young daughter was able to run around the grounds, play with the Alpacas, and jump on the trampoline. Urubamba is a delightful town with kind people and many areas to explore. Lizzy Wasi is perfection.

I would give this 100 stars if I could. We stayed here with our kids to acclimate to the altitude and we are so glad we did. The family room we had was perfect for the 4 of us. The staff was amazing and each of them took special care to make sure our visit was great. They even lit the fireplace in our room each night which made it so cozy. The town is very safe and walkable to local restaurants - although the food at the on site restaurant is also delicious! The grounds and Mountain View’s are breathtaking.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Lizzy Wasi in the Sacred Valley. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were so peaceful with lots of places to lounge in comfort with views of the Andes Mountains. There are pretty flowers, birds, alpacas on the grounds. The kids loved the trampolines. We had breakfast and dinner daily - food was great. The best part of Lizzy Wasi was the people. From the waitstaff, to the restaurant manage, to the groundspeople, to the hotel manager, as well as Liz...everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable. Highly recommend Lizzy Wasi if traveling to the Sacred Valley.

This place is beautiful. You will not be disappointed. There is a restaurant on-site, and you can easily walk to town and enjoy the plaza and local restaurants. They have cab services that can take you where you like, and the staff is very helpful.

We had an incredible time at Lizzy Wasi! We booked at the last minute because we couldn’t get to our other hotel in Urubamba. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The service was next level and you could tell everyone there wanted to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. 10/10 wouldn’t change a thing. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Bruno. Bruno is the epitome of excellence and gave 100% to make sure all guests were completely happy.

Honestly I wish I had spent the whole week at Lizzy Wasi because it was THAT amazing. In fact, I want to go back to Peru just to stay there again! If you’re on the fence about booking here or where exactly to stay - STOP LOOKING & book at Lizzy Wasi!!! Lizzy & her entire staff are beyond incredible & helpful. Lizzy even gave us a ride into town one evening & helped us understand the bus system - just to be nice! We found Lizzy Wasi to be an excellent choice for our two nights stay in Urubamba. All of the staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous. I sent email asking if they can arrange a driver to pickup us at the Cuzco airport, they promptly got back to me and clearly explain the cost. When we arrived, they would help to carry the luggage. When we were leaving for Ollantaytambo to go Machu Picchu, we were allowed to leave our big pieces of luggage in their storage for two days, as by Peru Rail, passengers are only allowed to carry one backpack to go Machu Picchu. These are all the optional things they did for us as a courtesy. The hotel’s garden is very pleasant and in a beautiful setting of the Sacred Valley. The free breakfast is also very good. They would cook eggs to your order! I have already recommended this hotel in my social media account to my friends. If I come back to revisit Urubamba, I would definitely try to book my stay in Lizzy Wasi again.

This is a very tranquille place in el Vallee Sacrado. The accommodations exceeded expectations. The staff are very helpful. Wifi is good in the dining room/common area only, but hey, you're not here to work but to have a vacation! Good food in the dining room and pizza night with a wood fired oven. Excellent breakfasts. Open pit fire on the ground with seating around it so you can share your experiences of the day and look at the stars. Thank you to Liz, Alexandra, Fabian and Bill for making my stay so special

We were walking the Inca trail and I wanted plenty of time to get used to the altitude so before heading to Cusco we stayed several nights at Lizzy Wasi in Urubamba. Even if we weren't doing the hike though I would still start off my stay here. It was perfectly located - easy access to Ollantaytambo and Pisac. It's a 5 minute walk to the bus terminal with collectivos if you want an extremely affordable way to get to these locations - and if you are looking for a quicker more typical tourist visit the staff at Lizzy Wasi is incredibly helpful and will arrange excellent taxi service. We did a day trip with a taxi to the Salinas, Maras, Moray and Chincherro since they are harder to reach via collectivo (specifically Maras). The driver was great and it was a wonderful day at a reasonable price. Alejandra gave us maps and great restaurant options when we arrived. Garrel was also extremely helpful and owner Lizzy gave us all sorts of insights. The breakfast was incredible. They had a pumpkin soup which we had for dinner on our first night which was delicious. It's a gem of a place.

Boutique Hotel Lizzy Wasi will be our second home in years to come. It is more than an accommodation, it is a destination! Liz and her staff have become good friends and staying there will always be remembered as a very special time in beautiful and friendly Peru. The rooms are decorated beautifully, absolutely clean and very welcoming. The grounds are like being in the Garden of Eden! We ate every breakfast and dinner there and enjoyed exceptional Peruvian wine and food lovingly prepared by the lovely ladies in the gorgeous kitchen. Urubamba is the perfect place to stay to see everything in the Sacred Valley. It is a close walk to the famous ceramics seminario as well! Hotel Lizzy Wasi and the wonderful folks there will be one of the main reasons that we will return again and again to this amazing area.

Perfect place to stay in Urubamba
We arrived at night after sacred valley tour from Cusco airport. From a very narrow dirt road we were so skeptical if it’s a really good hotel that we saw in internet. But once they opened the door with such a warm welcome we saw beautiful hotel with well maintained garden. They offered the dinner. Dining room was so cozy and they put the wood burning fireplace on. We had very light dinner there: pumpkin soup, salad and some french fries. They are amazingly delicious and very cheap. We left all our luggage there before Machu Picchu trip. Only took a small backpack for Peru rail and overnight in Aguas Calientes. They even sent a taxi to pick us up next day from Ollantaytambo station and pick up our luggage on the way to Cusco. Everything I asked they accommodated. Breakfast was also great!!! We felt we were so well treated. Perfect hotel in Urubamba!!!!

The property was beautiful. The room was simple but clean—a good value for the price we paid. The service was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly helpful, going well beyond what you’d expect to ensure that you had a good stay. The location was great if you want to be close to Machu Picchu without staying in Aguas Calientes. If you decide to venture out of the property into Urubamba (and you might not given the picturesque grounds of the hotel), it’s very safe.

My only regret is that we didn't stay here longer! Lizzy Wasi was everything we could've asked for and more. All the reviews couldn't be more accurate that Lizzy is your mom away from home and this hotel feels like a sanctuary with the most stunning views. The rooms were so clean, the staff beyond accommodating and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. When I come back to Peru, I'll be staying here again!

I loved my stay at Lizzy Wassi, the staff were super friendly and helpful. I was traveling on my own but would recommend to families too as it has a spacious garden, The property also has stunning views of the surrounding mountains, Definitly no issue in recommending to others.

Our group had 3 rooms for two nights at this hotel. Rooms were as expected. They were spotlessly clean. Beds were very comfortable. The common area/great room was a fun place for our large group to convene. The host (Liz) offered us food and whatever we needed to be comfortable when we arrived. She made popcorn for us. We really felt like we were at home. She provided advice on things to see and even provided a ride for one of our group to the downtown area at no cost. The rest of the staff was equally gracious. Loved this place and would recommend anyone to stay there!

I must say that this is one of my best vacation ever. Lizzy Wasi offers all that a 5 stars hotel offers for much lower price. The infrastructure is extremely well maintained and just impeccable. Warm and clean rooms with hot water and perfect service.

Utterly beautiful with amazing staff
This was a family trip with my husband and our two teenage children. We chose Urubamba because the altitude was lower than Cusco and we wanted a quiet place to acclimate to minimise sickness. We were only in Peru for 10 days so we couldn't really risk 'sick days'. I'm so glad we made that decision because staying at Lizzy Wasi was a joy. Urubamba is a safe, quiet, and yet bustling with local activity with a great market and a couple of fantastic restaurants. Kids play in the streets and tourists are just a part of the scenery - we felt incredibly safe. My 15 year old son walked around on his own in the early evening just to have a bit of freedom and we were never worried. In Lizzy Wasi, we booked two rooms next to each other for 5 days although one room had 3 beds and was very large so we could have easily just had one room. The hotel grounds are immaculately maintained and breathtakingly beautiful- I can't emphasise enough how beautiful the views are- every morning we walked to breakfast we were in awe. Also on the grounds is a yoga studio where I was able to do some morning practice which is an added travelers bonus. The manager is incredibly kind and very helpful. He helped arrange days out (dune buggies to see Moray and the Salt Mines- definitely do this) and always asked if we required a taxi. Excellent suggestions were given for dining. Morning breakfast was a buffet which was simple but nice with good coffee and coca tea available. Highly recommended!

Great option - Owner managed at Urubamba
Hotel is managed by owner and they make sure you spend a great time at their hotel. Rooms are spacious and breakfast served and social area are nice. Mountain view is amazing and has a fire pit for night warming-up. Walking distance (at lest for me) from Urubamba square, market and restaurants. Otherwise taxies or moto-taxies are available for a very reasonable price. Several great restaurants in Urubamba (ask owner who will make reservations on your behalf). Also ask for your own mountain excursion that can be initiated from hotel front door to the valley.

Urumbamba is centrally located in the Sacred Valley. The staff at Lizzy Wasi is happy to arrange a car (reasonably priced) to visit surrounding sites or the bus station is a close walk and there are frequent busses to Cusco, Ollantaytambo etc. A great and peaceful base for the Sacred Valley!

Serene and beautiful and very comfortable
The property is hidden in a side street a little outside of the main town area which made it quite peaceful. As we were arriving we happened to see the manager that was on his way to lunch. I'm not sure how are check in would have gone had he not seen us to turn back and check us in. As with most properties it is located behind gates and it is not obvious how to gain entry. Check in went fine, and the manager's father was visiting who was on the tourism board and gave us lots of helpful information. The property was beautiful, lovely gardens, nice sitting areas, and a common room with a big fireplace where they had tea and coffee available throughout the day. Breakfast was served in the same room which included cereal, yogurt, fruit and breads. They also offered made to order eggs. Overall a wonderful stay. We never did get to me the owner which was a little disappointing as all the reviews said she was so lovely and helpful. However I would have no hesitation in recommending this property.
