Amazing hotel and hospitality! Highly recommend. The landscape is beautiful! The staff Lorena was super nice. It’s close to the main town about 10 minute drive and the hotel will call you a taxi when needed. Beautiful place in Sacred Valley

Lovely hotel, really enjoyed the quiet, calm setting at the foot of a steep mountain, with the sound of a stream rushing by and wonderful gardening including tons of flowers. Adding to the peace and quiet, the rooms are in separated cottages, with fireplaces, big comfy beds, good linens, and outdoor seating. Very tasteful, this is a family owned hotel where the details have been chosen with care, and it shows. Lorena, Julio and the rest of the staff was incredibly helpful, lit fires for us, brought extra wood, heated the sauna, kept inquiring if everything was ok, set up transportion to and from Cusco. Really relaxing stay.

Beautiful property but could use improvements

Mixed review... the site is beautiful, absolutely loved the flowers everywhere. The staff is also so nice, breakfast was great, and the 1 dinner I had there was delicious (a little overpriced but that's expected at a hotel). The room had only a fireplace which was good for heat but the smoke was a problem after a couple hours so for the next night we had to ask for a space heater. The real problems came w/ use of sauna/spa. The websites don't advertise this anywhere, but to use the spa/sauna, its $25USD/person (and massages are $55, or $90 for a couple). We organized a massage + spa use, in the morning before going for a tour. A few hours later the hotel asked to move our massage by a couple hours b/c the spa wouldn't be ready yet. They then made it seem like they were doing us a favor by preparing the spa b/c apparently they only open it if there's more than 4 people? Even though we're paying $50 to use it? It was annoying to coordinate all of this. The massage and spa were very nice but the following day, I contracted a UTI. Of course I have no proof its from the jacuzzi but I can't imagine what else, especially since I didn't smell any chlorine in the jacuzzi. If you book this hotel, just know that it will likely be empty, its far from town, and using the spa will cost $ and maybe even not be available or hygienic.

This lodge is absolutely gorgeous! The flowering plants and the trees make this a picturesque and peaceful location. The accommodation is has been constructed with Spanish and Peruvian tones and is spacious and comfortable. Jose and the staff were very friendly and helpful with all requests. This was a memorable experience!

special place in the Sacred Valley

Absolutely beautiful setting at base of a mountain in the Sacred Valley. Great variety of room styles with comfortable beds, great showers, stunning flowers throughout the grounds. Even a dog and two cats to keep you company. Also a very good restaurant with some delicious choices. And the perfect host - German (name not origin.

W O W! Arriving it looks absolutely stunning, but my husband and I quickly realized that things were not as they seemed. Furniture started to break as we sat on it, our fire place bellowed smoke into our room followed by a sleepless night in frigid temperatures. My husband got food poisoning from the restaurant and we were awoken in the middle night by a staff member barging (not knocking) into the room and then quickly backing out. Be advised...

Beware of deceiving photos of the room you “think” you have booked. My husband and I booked a romantic suite with our whirlpool spa and waterfall and had been looking forward to this particular hotel for weeks. When we arrived the manger informed us that the guests staying in our room the previous night had broken the whirlpool so he had to put us into a different room. (No fire place in bedroom or whirlpool or waterfall!) We were not happy with the smaller, older room and asked to look at other rooms. Finally we asked if we could stay in our original room that was booked because it had a fireplace and terrace overlooking the grounds. When we got to our room the hot tub was full of old, yellow water and leaves and the room was dusty and dirty. We were clearly told a lie as this room had not been used in weeks, if not months. We were told we could use the public pool if we have them a minimum of two hours notice. We were going to cancel the second night but this hotel is extremely remote and we were afraid we wouldn’t find a another hotel so we stayed. We were also the only ones at the resort, which felt deserted. The kitchen staff mentions there had been no one staying at the property, which contradicted what we were told by the manager. On the second day we ran out of hot water which needed to be fixed. When we contacted the manager about our disappointment he offered no refund of any sort or nothing in return. Thank god hotels.com refunded us some money. Please beware.

Secluded and Cozy in the Sacred Valley

Our stay was unbelievable. The room was beautiful, the private jacuzzi was amazing and the service was impeccable. Michael went above and beyond to make our stay special. He's a fabulous cook, had great suggestions about excursions and taught a private Peruvian style cooking experience for us. The grounds are gorgeous, covered in flowers and grass. What we found wonderful was the seclusion of the resort which might not be for everyone if they want to be close to the action. Marco, who provides transportation to town and daily excursions, is one of a kind. If you're looking to relax in one of the most beautiful places in the sacred valley, this is the spot.

Beautiful place and location, almost perfect

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the rooms, furniture and bathrooms are comfortable and clean. The manager German, and the restaurant manager Miguel are great!
The only reasons why I would not give them a 5 star rating all accross are:
Location- it is so far from the town of Urubamba that even the local taxi drivers had a hard time taking us there after our Sacred Valley tour.
It is also about 45 minutes away from the Ollantaytambo train station where you catch the train to Machupicchu.
The room: I wish it had blackout curtains. It was hard to sleep in with so much light coming in.
The service for dinner: there was this lady helping us for dinner who needs a lot of training, she did not acknowledge us until we finally had to ask her for a menu, then she completely forgot what one of us had ordered and only brought food to my GF, it was not what we expected from this higher than average priced hotel.
Also if you are booking through Travelocity, and you want a room with a king bed, make sure you make the right reservations. We ended up with 2 queen beds in our room :(

If you like hot water, don't stay here!

We booked this room for $170 USD, specifically because it had a whirlpool. My husband and I had just hiked Machu Picchu and thought that a jacuzzi would be nice to relax our muscles.

First off, the hotel is extremely hard to find. It took our taxi driver another 30 minutes just to find it. And it's hit or miss with phone calls because they rarely answer the phone.

Also, it is located on a dirt road and is surrounded by dilapidated homes and buildings which I would consider \"slums\".

The hotel is greatly understaffed, with only 3 employees.

The whirlpool is located outside and isn't even full when you get there. You have to fill it up and take out all of the bugs, dirt and leaves. Unfortunately, we couldn't even do that because the hot water ran out one hour into our stay.

The hotel is located far away from everything in town. Unless you want to take a taxi, you are forced to eat at the hotel and the plates start at $20 USD. The food was mediocre at best.

Also, there is no heater in the room. They give you one bundle of firewood when you arrive which barely heats the room, then you freeze for the rest of the night. Morning was horrible. I woke up to the freezing cold and the water was still only lukewarm.

We were very upset about the whole ordeal. No hot water, unable to use the whirlpool and no heater. We only stayed for one night. We requested a partial refund for our problems but were denied by the manager.

Stay here if you like cold showers and overpriced food.

Secluded hideaway

The Sacred Dreams Lodge is located in a remote valley next to a babbling brook. The room we selected was on the highest point of the property and offered a challenge because of the altitude. On our arrival my wife and I both had to stop on our way to the room so that we could catch our breath. The staff was outstanding and service was impeccable. German, the front desk manager and Michael, the bartender/restaurant manager assisted us immensely.

Phenomenal Hospitality

This was a fantastic experience we will not soon forget. The staff was so accommodating, the grounds so beautiful and the rooms so comfortable. Driving there you will wonder if you made a mistake, but this is a lovely oasis at the base of the mountains. They arranged tours for us with a driver which were convenient to Sacred Valley sites. The breakfast was delicious and the dinners were also enjoyable as Mike played bartender, chef and gracious host.

My stay with a group of over 20 people seemed like a challenge, but the staff managed to pull through with great hospitality and service. If it wasn't for our overwhelming numbers, I know that the limited staff would've been even better with focused attention for smaller groups. Had a great time and I would highly recommend this place to any interested traveler.

Highly recommend it.

Beautiful location and property! It overlooks urubamba and is tucked into a valley. Some taxi drivers had difficulty finding the remote location. Food was fresh and deliciously paired and the manager Marck was knowledgeable and warm.
I am picky about beds and pillows, so it was refreshing to have both wonderful. It was the best sleep experience so far in Peru.
The only downside was the lack of heat and water turning cold after a 5 minute shower. We had a space heater but it took a while to warm the room.
We would definitely come back!

Nice location, with plenty of trees and fresh air.Stayed for 4 nights, mainly did some walking and small excursions to the surrounding area. Slightly out of town, about 45min or 10 min taxi. The food was quite good and the beers nice and cold. The whole place was pretty casual, you just had to look around for staff if you wanted something.

Pleasant Stay overall

This place is not connected well. Its located in awesome mountain foothills but not the best of connected places. Once you are there your only option to go around is long walking distance or Cab that Lodge people have to arrange for you. If you are someone who likes the freedom to move around and explore your surrounding area you are staying in for local food and culture then this is not a place for you. Stay was very pleasant but not well connected to surrounding markets and restaurants.

Great Lodge in the Sacred Valley!

We had an excellent stay at the Sacred Lodge. It is a little hard to find because it's tucked away in the mountain but once you're there, you don't want to get out again and just enjoy the quiet and tranquility. The food was average, nothing great, but the room was beautiful and we are glad we stayed the night there.

Beautiful surroundings, quiet setting

Sacred Dreams Lodge is in a beautiful part of Urubamba, far off the beaten path. The resort's suites were well-appointed and attractively furnished - our room had a fireplace and sitting area. The landscaping for the resort is lovely and is surrounded by great scenery. There is a restaurant on-site but the food is a little over-priced for being somewhat basic (there are no other restaurants within easy walking distance). Try to arrange your taxi transfer from the rail station or city center beforehand, as several drivers we spoke with didn't know where the hotel was. Overall, a great find.

Delicious beds and linens

Towels, linen and room could not be better. We were cold, however there was a fireplace and wood was delivered by the groundsmen. All stove were friendly and helpful, and around at all hours. The manger would be there at 10pm for late arrivals, and up at 6 helping serve breakfast and prepare you for the day. Breakfast was perfect, fruit, eggs made to order, cereal, juice. Location is beautiful, however 10 minutes drive from town.

Villas are new, just a few years old, and very comfortable. Lodge is in a very peaceful setting in a valley with nothing else around. It is about a 15 minute drive to the nearest town, Urumbamba. Marck and the rest of his staff were extremely helpful.

Amazing Hotel

This hotel is AMAZING! It is far out of town and difficult to find but it is private and beautiful! Marco and Lizette were the managers and the most attentive staff we've experienced ever. The food in the restaurant was delicious! Our was gigantic and quiet. The entire location is simply peaceful. If you're looking for a place that is out of the way and definitely romantic, this is the location for you.

Everyone was so amazing! The location blew our minds and was beyond serene! The manager and his team were incredibly gracious and always went out of their way to make sure we were well informed and on time to all of our plans. Jacincto (one of the friendly dogs), was a bonus because he kept watch over us and was super friendly! The ONLY thing we would recommend is to provide travelers with a tiny map to show taxi drivers how to exactly find the location. Overall, we loved our stay and wish we could have stated longer! We will definitely return!

A must-stay when travelling in the Sacred Valley!

I can't imagine what my trip to the Sacred Valley would have been like without stopping at the Sacred Dreams Lodge! We booked our stay on a whim and while it took forever to find the lodge at 10pm at night (the main road off the highway isn't marked and the signs leading to the lodge aren't very helpful), we were so pleased with the location, the service, and amenities that we immediately extended our stay for a second night. The rooms are very well furnished with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower was divine (especially after staying in hostels for previous 5 days). Waking up to the sound of the river flowing by and birds chirping was a nice change from the bustle of the city. Completely worth every penny spent and I would highly recommend it to everyone travelling through the area! Happy travels!

Excelente lugar para ir a descansar y desconectars

En este lugar solo se respira paz, Germán el administrador es muy amable y servicial, las habitaciones son hermosas, tienen calentadores pues hace un poco se frío en la zona pero con eso y las cobijas está perfecto. desfortunadamente por problemas de salud tuve que devolverme antes de tiempo, pero sin duda me volvere a hospedar en este hotel cuando regrese.

Falta o mínimo.

Passamos apenas duas noites no hotel.
Fomos recebidos pelo gerente, muito cuidadoso e atencioso. O quarto era muito agradável, bom banheiro, cama confortável e decoração conforme fotos de divulgação.
Na primeira noite faltou água no quarto e o problema não foi resolvido, apenas no dia seguinte.
A lenha da lareira estava úmida, o que fez com que o quarto ficasse com muita fumaça.
Nos dois dias em que nos hospedamos o café da manhã não estava colocado no horário, no primeiro dia não havia nada, no segundo não havia pão ou biscoito... Enfim, para uma diária de quase 200 dólares, não havia o mínimo que nos atendesse.

Podría ser mejor.

Me dijeron que el hotel estaba siendo fumigado por lo cual el restaurant estaba cerrado. Aun así me hicieron cena luego de mucha insistencia. La habitación no coincidía con la descripción de hoteles.com cuando reclamé me dijeron que la habitación que yo quería costaba 20$ más, dije que la quería y me dijeron que estaba ocupada. Además el desayuno estaba medio flojo.
