When I'm working in Devon I always stay here.
Its perfectly comfy and its has good size rooms the parking is free and plentiful even in a large Van you can park around the rear of hotel. Close to tiverton town centre and supermarkets. Staff are very friendly too.

Once again, reception and bar staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms are looking tired and could do with a lick of paint and some updating. The bathroom needs the most attention as feels dirty even though it isn't, due to old grout and fuxtures

People were great, and stay was okay only because it was 1/4 the cost of premier inn for my night. However , room smelt of mould, paint peeling off most of bathroom. Sheets/duvet pristine but the softest bed I’ve ever slept inn … the worst thing was the noise from the heating/water pump going all night.

First time at this hotel, staying for one night. A quick visit to Tiverton on the way home from a few days in Bideford to see the Grand Western Canal and assess the potential for a future longer visit. Overall, facilities, food and staff excellent, decor a little tired. Free parking on site a major advantage. Room comfortable, but no USB ports provided to charge phones etc. However, will definitely consider coming back at a later date.

Firstly and probably most importantly, the service was helpful and friendly. We had some additional requests (bags and bike storage to name 2) and nothing was a problem.

Rooms clean, albeit dated, everything worked well.

Food was ok. Atmosphere in bar / restaurant was a little quiet and bright for me, but again, service was spot on.

The staff was helpful, the room large and fairly clean. Housekeeping was provided on a daily basis.
The downside, there is no elevator, so if you are on the 1st floor and have knee issues, there is an issue. Toiletries are sparse and the room does not come with a microwave or mini fridge.

A couple of small issues but a decent stay

3 of us in a family room with 1 bed / pull out sofa bed. Free WiFi, free parking.
Single glazed windows let some noise in, but we we were at the back of the hotel at least and the room was big, bed was comfy, duvet and pillows were comfy. Bathroom was fine with bath and fixed shower head.
Only 2 sets of towels, 2 cups, 2 glasses, so had to request extra for our daughter which was sorted straight away.
The room was serviced every day which was an unexpected welcome surprise (we stayed 4 nights)
The place needs general refurbishment in the public areas but it's not going to affect your stay if youre only using the hotel as a place to sleep at night. 10 minute walk into the town centre, less to Tesco.
Our only gripe would be that after 5 hours of driving, we arrived 20 minutes before check in and despite being the only people in the reception area, we were completely ignored by the 2 people at the front desk who were discussing something on the computer. Not even a nod of the head to acknowledge they were aware we were waiting. A couple of minutes later, another member of staff appeared without acknowledgement, then a 4th. 4 people behind reception ignoring us for 5 minutes. Finally we were told we were too early to check in and could we come back after 3, so we sat in the car for 15 minutes before returning. No problem with being told we were early, but being ignored for 5 minutes without any acknowledgement made me feel I was in a GP reception rather than a hotel.

Was a nice hotel, however the rooms were really hot and room cleans were not 100%. Put the clean room sign out first day and it was not done, put it out the next day and it was partly done, bins were not all emptied. Breakfast was good however, we were told till 11 but then got told at breakfast it was till 10 so wasn’t able to get some of the food available. Staff however were lovely.

We were only there for 1 night sleep, we were visiting family. 1 small hypoallergenic dog, charged £20 for the night, the room would have needed no more extra cleaning. We had paid for the superior room, if I had not have asked we would have been given a standard room. I had told the hotel, and requested ground floor as I have difficulty walking and requested a shower and not a bath. The room which was given, after the Change to superior was a good walk down a corridor, the room smelt very musty and we had to open the window. It was a shower over a bath, no good for me. The room was very tired and was in need of modernising. we’d had a long drive and needed to go straight back out to see family. When we arrived back, the children and babies were noisy (the dog didn’t make a sound) babies were awake in the night. Overall not the best experience. In the morning we left at 9:30ish and I told the reception and said I’d left a window open due to musty smell, there was no apology. For £1

We only stayed 1 night, unfortunately there was a very early 2am fire alarm, and we had to stand outside in the rain for 45 mins. The beds were very soft, the interiors need modernisation. The bathroom was clean, but again needed modernising. It is convenient for our need, but the stay was to reduce the long journey to Cornwall, and prevent a very early start on a Saturday, unfortunately the fire alarm counteracted the reason for the stay as we were all very tired the next day.

Upon arrival we were waiting at reception a while before being served, a young girl came over and completely ignored us then walked off again, until we went to enquire if someone could check us in and they advised they had called someone. (She could’ve just told us that rather than walking by and ignoring us). The room was clean. No real complaints there at all. A fan in the room would have been ideal as it was very warm but otherwise all good. Breakfast was good.
