We stayed here on the last night of a three night stay. The price was great and the hotel was quiet and quaint. We loved the outdoor patio with lots of couches and places to sit. Unfortunately nothing was open at the hotel (restaurant, lounge, gift shop). The restaurant looked very nice but when we looked at the menu for breakfast it was way over priced. Dinner like prices for breakfast!! There was no refrigerator in the room which was a bit of an inconvenience and the hotel smelled very badly of varnish as they had just polished the floors. There is on site parking that we had to pay for which we though was quite ridiculous as the parking lot and hotel were empty and it’s literally part of the hotel property. Overall it was clean and the rooms were inexpensive but not sure we would go back

Staff and aesthetic of the property were amazing. However, my room was damp upon arrival, had a stained wash cloth rolled up for my use as of clean and I the shower curtain had an odour ( urine like) that I could smell upon entry of the room. After use of the shower the smell was stronger. I bought a candle to help.

The location of the Inn is perfect if you want to walk to the falls or to clifton hill park. I arrived 2 hours early and they let me in, which i found that it was nice. Parking lot is not included with the booking price and you have to pay for it (45 CAD) at the front desk. Please notice that there is parking lots just across the street just for 10 dollars a day.

We were originally put in a room that smelled like wet dog and didn't reflect the fact that it claimed to be a boutique hotel. The pictures on the web site made it look much nicer then it was. Would not recommend this hotel nor would I choose to stay here again and the original room also seemed to have a nonfunctional air conditioning unit

While walking to the inn we felt the back looked a little ghetto with some graffiti on the wall outside. The front looked nicer with a lot of beautiful flowers.
Check in time was not until 4 and check out at 11am so we didn’t have time to be out in the courtyard.
Parking was expensive, meanwhile there is $10/day parking all day. Not sure why parking is not included in our stay.
There were quite a few loud neighbours the night we stayed. Early morning slamming doors and yelling. Staff did nothing to give me a refund or lesser charge.

Our first time visiting Old Stone Inn and it definitely won’t be our last. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations we even got to check in early, which was such a nice touch.

Dinner at the Flour Mill was incredible, the Library Bar had the perfect cozy vibe, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable.
This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts we got engaged in the speakeasy! An unforgettable experience from start to finish.

Pros: place is cozy and we loved the interior design, our room and pool was clean, no broken toilets or shower, drinking water available to easy refill. Staff was nice, paid extra for breakfast and really liked the breakfast and the dining room.

Cons: expensive parking on-site, our room on the first floor smelled of mold, kids got skin rash after swimming in the pool (too much salt) that required anti-allergic medication.

It was my first time staying at the Old Stone Inn Boutique, I gotta say, I was impressed.

There were cute little photo spots set up which I had alot of fun using.

The staff were very nice and helpful.

The room was beautiful decorated with a vintage feel and had everything we needed.
I needed a room with a fridge but unfortunately our did not have one, so when booking a room, make sure you choose a one with a fridge.

I would stay there again, great location, close to everything.

Based on the mixed reviews of this place, I was a little worried about my stay. But, I had nothing but a wonderful experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I forgot to advise at check-in that my partner would be arriving later, and the front desk called me to confirm I was expecting a male guest when he arrived. I appreciate the diligence and guest safety mindset. My courtyard room was clean, and everything was functional (air/heat, fridge, coffee machine, lamps, etc.). Had a nice swim in the morning. The pool area does need maintenance, and evident mold on the ceiling. But it was nice to have robes and towels included. The overall property had great character and decor, and was well maintained. The hotel is accessible to everything and a great place to stay for the fireworks. The display is set off at the right end of the street and down the path from the hotel. I took advice from reviews and parked kitty corner to the hotel and saved some money rather than parking on site. I was not hit with any of the resort fees that were mentioned in other reviews. I booked through Expedia, and had no challenges with check in/check out. Overall excellent stay, and I will definitely be returning.

Our room had quite a few ants and a few spiders along with someone else’s long hair on the pillow. Room needs to be updated. Parking lot was in poor shape, limited tv channels. We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on that. Location was pretty good, a couple kms to the falls. I think If I were to come back I’d spend the extra money and stay closer because if you don’t like walking then you have to pay to park closer to the Falls on top of the $40 parking fee of the hotel. Overall I’d give a three star rating

While the lobby and restaurant were very nice and welcoming, the rooms need updating. We loved the idea of a boutique hotel rather than a large, mainstream brand but it felt more run down than chic. Our room, while clean, showed a lot of ear and tear. For example, there were several spots on the walls which had been touched up with the wrong color paint which make it feel neglected. The location was pretty good- walkable to all the activities- but we probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Front reception was excellent. Hotel is very cute. Shower was a bit odd to turn on. Restaurant was amazing our server Danielle was great. I would definitely staff again. Only suggestion would be one flatter pillow with ones that were there. Possible a larger tv and clearer instructions, not everyone is stream savvy.

The lobby looked amazing with the stone build look and ambiance. Staff were polite and friendly. The rooms were an anti climax and was smaller than it looked in the pictures; magic of photography I guess. It does give mid-century ambience in the room; but I have been in motels with the same ambience. Selected a King room with the fire place and it was just a mini electric fireplace. The price tag of C$600+ of 2 nights was definitely not worth the experience.

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. At first glance, the room appeared clean, but when I pulled back the bed covers, I found a pair of dirty socks left in the bed. This immediately raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and whether the bedding had been properly changed.

I reported the issue to the front desk, but the response only made things worse. I felt dismissed, as though my concern wasn’t taken seriously. While they did offer a solution, it felt inadequate given the situation—they only compensated me for parking and did not offer any compensation for the room itself. There was little acknowledgment of how unacceptable and unhygienic the issue was.

Cleanliness and proper housekeeping are basic expectations, and this experience fell far short. Between the condition of the room and the lack of an appropriate response, I left feeling frustrated and uncomfortable.

Overall, I was very disappointed and would not feel confident staying here again unless there were significant

First of all, charging guests for parking is ridiculous—especially at the rate you’re charging. The lot is at the back of the building, and guests coming from out of town have no other option. It feels like a forced extra fee on top of already expensive rooms.

When you walk into the hotel, you’re greeted by buckets catching leaking water. That’s unacceptable for a property charging over $200 a night. The building is cold, outdated, and nothing like the photos online. It feels old and poorly maintained.

I reached out ahead of time to ask if anything could be done to make our stay special for Valentine’s Day—our first Valentine’s as a married couple. I wasn’t asking for anything extravagant, but the answer was essentially no unless I paid more. That’s incredibly disappointing.

To make matters worse, the room didn’t even have a single bottle of water. Basic hospitality standards are clearly not being met.

When I spoke to the hotel about these issues, the response was dismissive. I was told they were sold out, as if that excuses everything. Being fully booked does not justify poor service, lack of maintenance, or indifference toward guests.

This stay was extremely disappointing and far below what your pricing and advertising promise.

The issue with our room was the shower. It seems that an insert was put over an old tub & the tub has water trapped between the layers making the floor of the tub not steady & difficult to stand in. We would have mentioned earlier but didn’t use until we were getting ready to leave.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights on boxing Day to have a getaway with our 15 year old Jack Russell.
Immediately at check-in, we were greeted by such friendly staff. The lobby and restaurants were all Decorated so well for Christmas!!
The food in the restaurant was Amazing!!
We just had a small problem with our first nights dinner and it was Quickly resolved ,very iprofessionally by the manager Manthan!! It was a nice walk to the Falls, then the festival of lights and then to Clifton Hill from the hotel

We were told to come back at 4pm for our keys, we were told an addtl 10 to 15 minutes. Ended up being 30 minutes. We had dinner reservations that we wanted to get ready for. Then our room was on the same wall as the Christmas pop up bar so all we heard was loud music bass until almost 1230 am.
The room was really nice and the jetted tub was amazing, but for what we paid to stay there, I would have preferred a room that was quieter.
