They were ...are renovating this location, decent weight room with TV, and a punching bag...never seen that before, my room was clean, It is close to downtown, safe and the staff was wonderful. Looks like it was something back in the day....I wonder if they will be able to recreate that.

We booked a 'renovated' room with 2 Queen beds and breakfast included in January. Once arrived there, we received a room with 2 double bed into an old crappy section of the hotel, full of construction around the room, and no Breakfast was offered. The staff never advised us or let us know that we were downgraded other than after we complaint and brought theses issues up, so that was rather frustrating. So we complained to the staff, told them that we would have never booked there knowing that we would have this crappy bedroom., The staff told me the see the manager the next day at 9AM. The next day, the manager was not there at 9:15 AM, the staff called the manager, and the manager would not answer his phone. Finally after 3 attempts, they reach the manager, he would not talk to us, would not come to the office to meet us, and he told the staff to only refund us one night out of the 2 nights that we booked. I contacted Hotels.com Customer Service and finally got my 2 nights refund. I would avoid this hotel at all cost, very bad customer service, and very bad accomodation overall.

The room was old, and musty smelling with what looked like black mold throughout. Power bars into the wall (which is all you could use to plug into) all had the grounding pegs removed and the lights connected would flicker (fire hazard), floor was uneven and the carpet was old and filthy, the window was not secure. I would highly recommend staying anywhere else! The window to our room did not lock and was directly above a landing where anyone could access. The window also completely blew into the room one day out of the frame from the wind. Ceiling fixtures were so old and half attached and filthy with perhaps black mold as well. Other rooms on that same floor that they tried to move us into after were in similar conditions. They try to tell you they are 'under renovations' however I am not convinced that is not just a cover story for a deteriorating building. We left partway through our stay, and the hotel would not honor expedias approval for a full refund. Please, do NOT stay here for the black mold exposure alone.

There was no heat or hot water in our room on the second day of our stay. The temperature went down to 12.5 C overnight. There had been a burst pipe. There was also no breakfast offered on the second day. I understand that things can happen but there was no compensation or alternate room offered. We won’t be staying there again.

Outside, the hotel looked pretty good and the lobby was nice. Staff were courteous. It is currently under construction, so we were placed in a different room, but it was a free upgrade. The only thing bad I have to say is that there is a lot of noise from other rooms. I heard a fight almost break out across the hall, no idea what that is about. Very little soundproofing, and my room was attached via a door to another. It made it mildly uncomfortable to stay there knowing they could hear every word uttered. Besides that, it was a good experience. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.

The room was just fair. paint on ceiling in the bathroom was peeling. In the morning when I moved my toiletries bag, a cockroach crawled out from under it. It crawled behind the mirror. I called the front desk and they sent someone up. While this person was there, another cockroach was crawling up the wall on the outside of the bathroom. I immediately shook out all of my belongings to make sure that no cockroaches had crawled in during the night and then checked out of the room. The front desk attendant said he would let his manager know. I have a call in to the manager, but have not heard back from him as of yet.

No ac in my room, smelt awful upon entering, no screen in window, very limited cable tv channels, awful tv remote controls half of the buttons didn’t work, couldn’t even switch the input on the tv because no buttons on it, so couldn’t use Xbox we brought for YouTube or Netflix, two of our friends stayed in their own rooms, one had no power in it or hot water, after only being told it had no heat, he payed before we got there on Expedia, they charged him double and said they didn’t get the payment, and our other friends room smelt awfully like mildew with wallpaper peeling back. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone, so not go here. You’ve been warned!

Room was for the most clean..lots of cobwebs..the paint is peeling in the bathroom but they are under renovations, so that should be cleaned up soon. Beds were cozy and comfortable pillows awesome. Hot water took forever to come up in the shower.. didn't show up in the sink tap. Window was broken didn't open and when we tried it was a struggle to close. Air conditioning was not circulating the best stayed at 20 in the room was hoping for a bit cooler but was okay to sleep. Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly. No view from the window but not a big deal. Bar fridge was good, tv worked fine, lots of room to walk around, tub plug was stuck closed had to put something underneath it to keep it open to drain water. Long walk to elevator for my mom she's unstable..stairs were a lot. Pool was warm and lots of towels there, don't think it's been cleaned in awhile though lots of weird fluffy floaties. Breakfast was good had a variety of items toast, bagels and waffles. Juices,coffee (was good)cereal and fruit, yogurts..teas.

I know work is going on at the hotel but even besides that it was horrible. The old building smells of smoke everywhere. Smoke. They tried smoke blocker but it isn't working.
I have stayed in many hotels and this is easily one of the worse I have stayed at.
Breakfast was ok and the staff friendly though.

I didn't realize the "North Building" was actually a separate building. We were in room 157 which was supposed to be an updated room but the repairs completed in the bathroom were terrible. The bathroom door wouldn't close, the railing in the tub was rusted, the toilet paper holder came off the wall each time it was used, the tile was chipped - the workmanship was terrible.
It was a non smoking room but the bureau that housed the mini fridge absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke each time the door to get into the fridge was opened.
It was terribly noisy and that might have been reduced if there was a door at the end of the hallway leading from the rooms to the entrance. I would have tried the pool but would have either had to cross the street or take the underground tunnel to get to it.

Ramp at the back entrance is not secure. My partner tried to go to the car and the ramp was not centered. When she stepped out the door she stepped on the side of the ramp and sprained her ankle and cut open her knee. Called the hotel for baind aids and icebag, they brought a first aid kit with no braid aids in it and a ziplock bag, told us to go up a floor if we wanted ice for her sprained ankle. When we went to check out we told the staff at the experience we had and as we were leaving we heard the women working laugh at us. Absolutely terrible experience with the staff.
Won't be stay here again.

Also a positive point to mention is some jewelry was left behind accidentally and the staff recovered it and turned it into the lost and found. Very high regards for the honesty and integrity of the staff for this.

the room was very very basic. one piece of soap one inch x half inch, two thin bath towels, nowhere to hang anything like a suit or dress. the fire escape door which was on the bottom floor (three floors down) was locked and would pose a significant safety risk in a fire emergency. this was mentioned to two managers working the front desk. the room was spotless and was well-appointed with lighting.

the pool was dirty and the liner definetly needed to be cleaned and there was stuff floating around the bathroom was awful, the water pipe came off the wall, you could see where there was caulking just put over the old stuff where it looked like blue mold, very limited breakfast, room was very small, and the view was a roof, the bedding and mattress were lumpy like someone just threw the sheets on top, I was not pleased and give this hotel a 0 rating and hopefully i can get a credit of some sort.

I've stayed i North Court and have had problems with cockroaches.they moved me to another room which was very clean (no roaches). They have been renovating the past few years,i've been there last year and again this year and nothing has changed,it seems as though they stopped working or they are working on their own time,raking in money but not doing anything to earn it,my opinion hire another company to get the renovation completed...enough is enough

This is a very large property that is currently being renovated. Great location. We were in an older room that will benefit from updates when its turn comes. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom had all necessities except it took forever for hot water to reach our room. Staff very friendly and nice. Actually, a nice place except for the construction disruption.

I recently stayed at the Charlottetown Inn & Conference Centre and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. While the staff was friendly and check-in was smooth, the overall experience left a lot to be desired.
First and foremost, the cleanliness was a major issue. I encountered cockroaches in the room, which was extremely off-putting. The rooms and hallways didn’t feel very well maintained, and to make matters worse, construction was going on inside the building, adding to the noise and general discomfort.
The breakfast was very limited – just some bagels, bread, and waffles. There were no hot food options like eggs, which is surprising for a place advertising itself as a conference centre.
The one positive is the convenient location near the waterfront, but even that felt a bit misleading. The photos shown online give an impression of a more scenic surrounding than what’s actually there.
Overall, this hotel is not worth the price. With better cleanliness and amenities, it could be a decent budget option, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very nice area that is walkable to many sites in the city of Charlottetown. They were under construction trying to improve the hotel which is much needed. Could hear the construction crew outside from our window. Cleaning lady 1st day was very good but 2nd didn’t replenish any coffee or items needed in the room. Breakfast staff very nice and helpful.

The room was poorly maintained. Bathroom sink cracked but the rest seemed clean but not well finished.
If I had known that it so badly needed an update I would not have booked there.
