If they fix the lobby which is your first impression & do a little deep cleaning here and there it could be 5 stars. Friendly staff, service sometimes slow…great food in restaurant, sweet shop owner. Easy adjustments to be excellent.

Outstanding stay. This is a spectacular hotel in one of the most interesting and historic districts of the city, the Kasbah. Rooms are beautiful and spacious, beds are very comfortable. The staff is lovely and the bar is very cosy. The hotel's feels more like a place for travellers rather than tourists - a very interesting mix of people. We would gladly stay again.

A quiet Riad in the south of the Medina. Staff were quick to make us feel very welcome with tea and choice of pillow scent. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The beautiful pool is heated and provides a welcome rest from the hustle of the city. Although the Riad is beautiful the staff are the biggest asset. We will return, thank you

The location in the medina is just what we wanted being in the old part of Marrakech. The hotel garden surrounding the outdoor restaurant and swimming pool was an oasis of greenery and calmness. The staff at the Reception Desk, Restaurant and bar were all extremely friendly and helpful.
The only negative was our Superior room. We chose this room based on the pictures on the Expedia website which were the newly Refurbished rooms ours was not and was rather dark shabby. Although kept very clean it was not what I was paying for and it did not spoil our holiday in Marrakesh. I believe the price of the room should reflect what you are actually getting.

Friendly welcome, beautiful building, fabulous gardens and gorgeous rooms (we had 113).

It's maybe 15 minutes from the main part of town, but oh so worth the steps when you retreat to what is an oasis.

This is a small hotel with a distinct Moroccan feel and beautiful gardens that hug the pool and rooms. My room was a little tired decor wise but had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in (including my own at home!). Excellent aircon and a free bottle of water each day. The stone floor in my room added to keeping it cool in the hot August sun of 46°C but it seemed grubby, as on wiping up a spillage of suncream, a fair amount of what look like dirt, came up too . Benefit of the doubt would say it could be discolouration from the terracotta floor tiles. The tiny ants crawling out from the edge of the sink taps in the bathroom were somewhat disconcerting. Great shower, though the hot/cold signs were transposed and I stupidly didn't cotton on until I'd asked the plumber to look at my cold shower! (Room 119). The room overall was very charming, which was just as well. The little outside sitting area was also a nice addition though not used as i was alone.
The staff were courteous and helpful. The food at breakfast was abundant however the evening meals were disappointing depending on your choice. Lovely pool area but as usual people leave towels and belongings to reserve them whilst disappearing for hours.
The hotel is in a convenient quiet spot not far from some shopping and attractions that are walking distance. We got taxis to venture further for dinner on three occasions out of our six nights. We did the sunrise hot air balloon experience which was excellent.

The hotel is in the Medina in a cul de sac. Quiet. You can hear the birds sing in the early morning hours. The area between the rooms is very nicely treed. Staff are extremely polite, helpful and pleasant. The Hammam and massage was great. Buffet breakfast was very good and we loved the cappuccino and the mint tea. The room and the whole are was very clean. We walked to many different places with ease. The hotel is an old style hotel (not a modern hotel) but it is maintained extremely well and has true character. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to see the history of Marrakesh and the Medina.

I had 2 issues with the lady at the front desk. She was Not very helpful. I dragged my bag of laundry to the front desk, and she didn’t bother to find the form at the front desk, but expected me to go back to the room to find it.
Upon checkout, she had not received the payment from Expedia. I wish she would’ve told me before check out

The hotel gives you a nice feeling with its beautiful architecture, lush gardens, the heated swimming pool (but very shady) and stylish restaurant.

The rooms are advertised as soundproof, but that's not the case, you can hear people in the other rooms talking. If you're a light sleeper that might put you off.

The location is not bad, about a kilometre from the heart of the old city, Jama Fina. The hotel needs some serious maintenance though. The toilet commode was not firmly fixed to the floor, the AC ran only at one setting and rooms are on multiple levels with as much as 3 steps between bedroom and sitting area.

We would recommend the hotel. The gardens were beautiful - sitting outside for breakfast or just relaxing. We really loved the roof terrace.

The position was good for us - 1 mile from the main square and away from the car and bike fumes of the city streets. We did not bother with taxis.

The Reception staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, we were disappointed when a manager showed no interest in a problem we had when ordering a drink at the bar.

We suggest taking care when ordering tours through the hotel, as the guides were poor on our two trips.

I think this is one of the best hotels in Marrakech. The beautiful gardens are just stunning. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 100% is the food. It’s good, but there is certainly room for improvement and the menu never seems to change. Nonetheless, we really look forward to returning to this hotel for the third time. The staff are charming.

A gem of a place in its own oasis of gardens and tranquility. Our room was spacious and had a lovely balcony and upstairs roof space with sun loungers.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful

We had a lovely hammam and massage - very relaxing!

Location is in the medina and quiet. A short walk away from the main areas or 50drm in a taxi.

Easy to get around and safe to walk around and experience the place

The hotel and grounds are lovely. Breakfast was good - not huge choices but enough. The pool area looked nice / we didn’t use it as didn’t have time as We were only there a few days for a valentines weekend.

If you want to be away from the madness and chill - this is ideal. Taxis are plentiful and we went to the new town and also the Yves-Saint-Laurent gardens and museum by taxi. Basically 50 wherever you want to go!
We took the hotel pick up from the airport as hadn’t been before - easier for first timers!

The photographs online do not do this hotel justice: it has a large and luxurious garden with a lovely swimming sized pool. Dinner and meals poolside in the garden are dreamlike, and yet one is inside the Medina of Marrakech. This is NOT a raid, but a first-class hotel.

Property is absolutely lovely and well located for visiting. Staff are very helpful but sometimes lacked attention in the restaurant - had to wait a bit to be served. Decent sized pool and enough space to relax there or on the roof terrace. Food was very good, although menu could have done with varying both at breakfast and at dinner a little. Being critical as it is a high end Riad and therefore expect it to be good, but we had a lovely time and definitely recommend staying here

What gem of a hotel in the Medina. The location is fantastic as you can join the hustle of the Medina in minutes. That being said you can also escape the noise and heat of the Medina very quickly to a garden oasis with a large pool. The property is lovely with little nooks to hide away in. The rooms are large with comfortable beds and plenty of closet space. Everyone was very pleasant and extremely helpful. We were so glad to stay here instead of a larger brand hotel on the outskirts of the Medina.

The hotel is lovely and the over all stay was great. Unfortunately it was destroyed at the time of the checkout when the woman in the reception forgot to inform us their inter eat connection was not working and our final payment was refused even when the money was taken from the account. When showing her the transaction, she laughed at us and refused to listen and look into the issue further. A hotel at such level should not allow such rudeness in the reception.

Great location most major attractions are within walking distance, the area is safe and your taxi can drop you right at th front door. After a day out exploring you will love coming home to the tranquility of the gardens. The restaurant is brilliant we had a great meal here, but I will say breakfast was so/so adequate but so/so. The staff are brilliant they will go t of there way to help you and you will appreciate this in Marrakech. I would recommend this hotel and I would definitely return to this hotel.

Les Jardin de la Médina has all the amenities of a luxury hotel with the unique beauty of a riad. Highly recommend their airport pickup direct to the front door. Very warm welcome and notably all reception staff speak very good English. Food was great and both dinner by the fireplace and lunch in the garden were lovely. We had a Solarium room with little private patio and large sun deck. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. I’d love to return to Marrakech just to stay here again!

Hidden delight

Beautiful hotel in a luscious garden setting with lovely birdsong in the morning. Well appointed room with a private rooftop terrace, amazing breakfast, fine dining and good selection of wines. Friendly and responsive staff with the standouts being Nohsine and Soufiane who organized taxis, a private car and driver for a wonderful day trip to Essaouira and Sidi Kaouki and our train travel to Fes - incredible smiling service!

This hotel is fabulous, simple as that.

The staff are incredibly attentive and were super helpful throughout our trip - whether it was changing/breaking currency to booking excursions or making dinner reservations, they were willing to help in any way possible.

The rooms are terrific, and were cleaned twice a day, whilst the pool is such a brilliant option to relax in the Moroccan heat - and not common place in all hotels.

The spa was also excellent with a really great couples Hammam treatment on offer.

The perfect secret garden escape from Marrakech

When you walk through the door of the hotel you escape from the bustle of Marrakech into tranquil perfection. An old private palace, the informal reception sets the tone of the whole hotel. All the rooms are individual with thoughtful touches, like Illy 'nespresso' machine, basket with hats to take to pool or terrace, most have mini-terrace and are very comfortable. Great bathrooms, wonderfully perfumed soaps and gels. You get to chose the perfume for your pillow on arrival, a nice touch. Gardens, pool and rooftop terrace wonderful to just relax. Open air bar and dining area very tasteful and comfortable, food consistently good. Great breakfasts laid out every day. Hotel staff all very friendly, will do anything for you. Bar and restaurant staff also very friendly, sometimes quick, sometimes not so quick. The location is in the south of the Medina, which does mean a bit of a walk each day to and from, down the narrow little streets with everything going on in them; but probably 15 mins to Jemaa el Fna. This also adds to the charm, but is a little more tiring. It is worth it though, when you walk back through that door...We will definitely stay at the hotel again

I spent 3 nights at this hotel last May as a solo traveler. Haven't used the spa services and facilities.
This is a very nice hotel with large room and bathroom with attention to details. The service is discreet but efficient.

I dinned all 3 nights at the hotel and although the menu is the same, there are enough choices to take different things each night. Quality of foods is good. The full breakfast has enough varieties.

Absolutely everything about this hotel is exquisite. I am very fortunate and have traveled internationally extensively; this was our last stop in a 4 month trip around the world. THIS is a hotel I will return to with my parents. As two college females traveling alone, we were so well taken care of by the staff. From the warm welcome; to porters carrying all our bags and being greeted by name, Les Jardins de la Medina is HIGHLY recommended as a fabulous place to stay in the Medina of Marrakech. The location is GREAT! I personally read multiple reviews saying that the location was scary at night but we never felt this. Moroccans are so gracious and very protective of their tourists; we are their livelihoods! Granted, we had our male driver with us at all times escorting us everywhere, but still, we never experienced any \"scary\" encounters. The spa/hamam is an experience not to be missed! The food was amazing and the staff could not be nicer! Allow time to explore the gardens, pool, and dining area. Our room was absolutely adorable with every detail thought of. Do not hesitate...BOOK THIS HOTEL with complete confidence! You will absolutely love it!

While I appreciated the excellent customer service, staff attitude, and the security of the hotel...there were far too many areas of improvement needed...here are a few;
1) Not enough variety on menu and limited time to eat...there should always be snacks/food to order 24 hours a day.
2) There were stray cats that wandered the hotel grounds which made for very uncomfortable moments during our stay. I am highly allergic to cats and felt on edge every time I left my room. I also lost a lot of sleep when the cats screamed and moaned all night....very unpleasant.
3) Dining room could use a screen door or keep doors closed...the task of eating with birds flying all over my food was disgusting.

From the moment we knocked on the door in that narrow medina street, everything was just perfect!

It is truly a cool oasis from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

Our room overlooking the pool was all we could ask for - the personal choice on arrival of the fragrance used - hand wash, perfumed pillows etc.- was a delightful touch. And diving into that pool at the end of a day in the souks was another piece of the jigsaw of perfection.

The food was of an extremely high standard - our breakfasts were included and provided that perfect start to the day.

This charming hotel is a distinct palace with great service, great breakfast, a good spa, roof deck and comfortable rooms. The pool is nice and heated, the bar is small, but charming. The staff took great care of me. The Hotel is about a 20 min walk to the major sites of the Souks, but close to the Saadian Tombs.

Lovely Riad right in the heart of Medina

I stayed at Les Jardins de la Medina over the Christmas holidays. Loved the location, about 10 minutes walk from Jemma el Fna and the Bahia palace and within walking distance of most other locations.The staff was friendly, professional and helpful though English was limited, which is to be expected.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. Staff was very helpful without ever being overbearing. Our room was private and spacious. Finding a Bluetooth speaker in the room was a great surprise! Everything was clean and comfortable. As a first time visitor to Marrakech we opted to stay in the old section of the city. It can be a bit difficult to navigate the neighborhood though and you will have to put up with a lot of young men insisting they'll help you find this or that. We live in a big city so it wasn't as if we weren't used to an urban environment and though we never felt in danger, it can get annoying to deal with over and over again. Our stay in the Ville Nouvelle area later in the trip proved much more relaxing in that sense. Overall a great experience!

Fantastic! ...a little sanctuary within the medina

Absolutely loved this place! It was our first visit to Marrakech, we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and stayed for 4 nights. We don't usually post reviews but just had to on this occasion. From the minute we arrived through the old front door, it was like going into the Secret Garden, it was amazing. We received a very warm welcome and were served mint tea and dates on the terrace, nice touch! The gardens are amazing, lovely pool area, lots of palms, birds singing, tortoises roaming around......We loved our room 120 on the 1st floor overlooking the pool through the palms, nice secluded balcony. I'm sure all the rooms would be lovely......the whole place is lovely! Breakfasts were freshly cooked omelettes, hot dishes and a selection of pastries, fruit and fresh orange juice. The restaurant serves excellent food, the seafood tagine and couscous were the best!! We throughly enjoyed our anniversary dinner and it was made extra special by the staff who served us with complimentary champagne cocktails and sang to us with the rest of the diners !!!
On the 2 afternoons that we spent around the pool, we were served complimentary fruit cocktails and delicious icecream....nice touch.
When we booked our holiday we wanted stay in a hotel where we would experience the true Marrakech........we were not disappointed!

20 mins from main square and a nice pool but one !

Hotel was very pleasant but the staff were very unfriendly ,
They tried to charge us for drinks from the mini bar which we did not have and when we asked for a refill for the tea/coffee making ingredients on the 3rd day of our stay we were charged which we were not warned about.
Breakfast was adequate but staff spent more time on there mobile phones than anything else .

The best hotel in the centre of Marrakesh

This is the first review I have ever written and doing so because I was so impressed by this hotel! Felt like a 5* hotel, so secluded and quiet even though it was fully booked on a bank holiday weekend. I want to move there forever.

Adorable riad! Would def go back.

We loved this place. Cozy. Good food. Reasonable. The pool is great, peaceful (note I didn't see any young children). It can be a little noisy in the morning as the breakfast gets going in the courtyard, but otherwise it's quite tranquil and charming. The staff was very helpful with getting a cab, etc.

Beautiful hotel . Garden looks like heaven

Amazing hotel. Beautiful garden with orange trees everywhere and a nicely sized heated pool. Been to a lot of hotels but this is very special. Probably not the best for a 16 month old as it's such a delicate place but even so we still absolutely loved it. Highly recommended. Staff amazing
