Quality is not the same

I stayed there last week and it was better. This time, the room was nice and confortable but it is useless to have a stove and microwave when I didn’t have any cutlery or plates. Not even a decent glass. Pool was closed. The gym didn’t have AC, no towels and the equiptment wasn’t clean. The breakfast options were very limited and always ran out of food.

Hotel was in very nice condition overall. The room service did not replenish towels, mini bar, toiletries, soap etc. without me asking at the Front desk. When I arrived at the room the first night there was no lotion.
The pool was shut down due to winter time and the workout area was very old and dated.
The bed was not very comfortable.

I know well this flat, I love the place, I got an upgrade in the check in, but.. two lamps were not working, the towel carpet was missing and the showers' faucets would require approx. four turns to open. I could certainly get another room if I asked for, but I only noticed most failures when I was ready to shower, late at night.

Nov 2016 Stay at Mercure Brasilia Lider Hotel

At the end of Nov. 2016, I stayed and enjoyed two nights at the Mercure Brasilia Lider Hotel. Excellent, large stylish room on the third floor with a balcony and vfew of the TV tower and some of the governmental buildings section. This hotel is located right beside the large Brasilia shopping mall, very convenient with some nice mall restaurants. Easy 5 minute walk to the TV tower and green space surrounding it. Excellent service with friendly and helpful staff, who could help me in excellent English with answers to my questions and check-in info. Included a small business center with internet access computers. Very nice and large buffet breakfast available. Overall very nice stay at this hotel and a totally favorable and enjoyable stay and experience.

My room was dirty from the last guest when i arrived. I asked the front desk to arrange it to be clean up, but after i came back from lunch, 2 hours later, it was still dirty. I had to chace down the cleaning lady and ask her myself to clean the room. would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone!!!

Not the best room service

Overall, it was a reasonable experience. The hotel is clean and the staff amenable. Due to work constraints I was forced to order room service for a couple of days. Room Service does not pick up orders (I had to call reception), and dinner took over 2 hours and a half to come to the room.
Also, if you rely in telephone services, make sure you have your cell phone charged as calls don’t go through the telecommunications system.

Good business hotel i a convenient location.

Good location in Brasilia with reasonable amenities. The staff tries to accommodate and respond to concerns. As with much of the hotel industry in Brazil there is a shortage of English speaking staff for tourists and this hotel is no different. Friendly staff!

Good business hotel

This is a good business hotel with nice rooms, a decent buffet breakfast and free (albeit slow) wifi in the rooms. The service was good. It is also only five minutes walk from Brasilia Shopping, a big mall with lots of shops and restaurants. Two things would be good to improve the hotel: 1) a blanket in the room (only sheets are provided as standard), and 2) a kettle in the room.

Almost on the Beach

The Acapulco Copacabana is a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, and I was able to watch the construction of a platform where Pope Francis was scheduled to conduct Mass three days after my visit. The only problem I had with the hotel was the room's clock, which refuse to work even after I complained. The breakfasts at the hotel are hearty, and my room was clean and attractive. The staff was courteous and friendly.

Rooms and staff were great and breakfast was excellent. The hotel did not have a lot of helpful information for tourists. There was a map which was really badly scaled and no free concierge to give advice. There were only a couple of staff at the desk who were busy with check in or outs that spoke English. This is more of a business hotel for Brazilians. You might be able to walk to tourist sights, but not without a better map or some guidance. The hotel restaurant was closed on the Sunday we were there and it wasn't clear what it's hours were.

Good quality business hotel

I've stayed in a lot of Brasilia hotels and I think this will be my preferred choice from now on. Great service, good (and free) internet connection, great breakfast buffet. My room was clean and had pretty much everything I needed. Bed was very comfortable. The only improvement I would make would be to have a kettle in the room.

Very nice, except that in this 2-room suite (bedroom and living space with mini-kitchen and fridge) the carpeting needed to be replaced and the couch needed some serious cleaning also. Location is great, staff were great, b'fast was great, internet was free. Room service was quick and great.

They charge R$35 for 24 hours of wifi access!

The hotel is kind of fine. They're upgrading from old apartment style rooms to proper hotel rooms, so at least they're making an effort there. Nothing you can do about the hotel zones, so no matter where you stay it's going to be a R$20 taxi ride from anywhere. The pool is rather pleasant on a hot day. But all of the good was overshadowed by the fact that they cling to the exorbitant R$35 fee for 24 hours of wifi. Which, if you decline to pay, leaves you with achingly slow ethernet access (assuming you're lugging a laptop, and out of luck if you're just on a smartphone). A friend at the Comfort Suites had a beautiful room with wifi included. Plus it's closer to the mall (Brasilia Shopping), which has free wifi.

Very happy with this choice

Was thinking about the other Mercure (next block!) but chose this one based on reviews. Despite minor glitches, my friend and I were very happy with this choice. The restaurant closed early the one night we wanted to use it and the sister hotel's was also closed due to a plumbing problem! But the room was great - two rooms in a small suite actually - comfortable and totally clean and modern. By my British standards, it was nearly luxurious. My moan: WiFi should not cost 35 reais a day (so we didn't use it).

Note: ALL the hotels are in more or less the same location (north side or south side of the main road) so there is no point in making a choice based on location. They are all next to each other anyway.

Great location, but need some improvements

The hotel itself, the rooms and the area are great and very convenient, but the matresses and pillows need to be changed. The springs on the matress were really loose and the pillows gave no support at all. The sofa-bed was a bit worn out too.

Best option in Brasilia (I've tried them all)

The Mercure Lider is the best value for the money in Brasilia. I've spent months in Brasilia Hotels and seen every hotel in and near the city center. The Gold Tulip Alovorada is a nicer hotel on the lake, but the internet is insanely expensive and really slow. Tyrp and Melia nearby are alos nice, but again suffer from terrible and expensive internet access and miserable tiny pools.

The Mercure Lider (White Mercure) is next door and not to be confused with the other more expensive (and not as good Brown Mercure).

Book in advance as this hotel is often booked out on weekdays (as are all hotels in Brasilia) and rates can vary drastically based on availability. The hotel pool is great from Mondays to Fridays, but gets filthy by Sunday afternoon as its only cleaned once a week.

Room service is great. Buffet breakfast is cheap (15BRL) and a decent selection, good coffee. The best thing about this hotel is the fast internet access.

Two room styles, the only difference is size, not worth the expense unless you really need the extra space.

Highly reccomend for Brasilia stays over all other hotels in Brasilia. I have seen or tried every hotel in this souless city!

TERRIBLE - THE WORST EVER - SPARE YOURSELF

This place rated as 4 stars is a dump.

Just horrible, At first I was shoveled into a dirty room, with a smelly toilet, and serious stains on the carpet. After complaining and waiting I did get an marginally acceptable room.

The Internet connection (they advertise as having hi-speed Internet in the rooms) was slow to the point of being unuseable. For a $20 or so a day premium you get a barely servicable Internet service. (So I racked up about $80 in unexpected charges). I had to call a few times to get that working.

The desk staff were curt and unfriendly. The guy who ran the concession stand in the lobby was the only remotely friendly person in the place except for some of the maids.

The restuarant was a joke as well.

I HATED THIS PLACE!!!!! WORST EVER!!!!

Good business hotel in central Brasilia

I have stayed at this hotel many times, if you book in advance it is the best value good quality hotel in central Brasilia. The Golden Tulip Alvorada on the northern arm of the lake is vastly superior though generally slightly more expensive. The best rooms are the ones futherest away from the noisy highway on the south side of the building. They have standard and delux rooms, the only difference being the delux are slightly larger.

We checked in fairly late at night with a rather large group of people traveling together and the counter staff were very efficient, pleasant, knowledgable, and helpful. The hotel itself is not new, and shows some signs of wear, but it was very clean, very comfortable, and very pleasant for an overnight in Brasilia. It is an apartment style hotel, so the rooms are quite spacious and well equipped. The price we got on Expedia was great!

One of the best recommendations is this: one of our group left her camera on the patio of her room, and when we called the hotel late the next day, they located the camera and sent it immediately by courier to our next location. We were very pleased with their service and their integrity. I would recommend this hotel just based on that experience!

Hotel de renome mas infelizmente eu não recomendo essa unidade de Brasília cheguei de uma longa viagem de 12hs e muito cansado apesar de cobrarem o estacionamento nao se pode deixar o veículo na porta para fazer o check in pois eles exigem que antes o hóspede estacione o próprio veículo no subsolo entre pilastras e vagas apertadas…achei um absurdo por se tratar de um hotel 3 estrelas e cobrarem estacionamento.

De um modo geral o hotel é novo, os quartos são amplos e o café da manhã é muito bom. Os funcionários foram muito prestativos e atenciosos o tempo todo. A pressão do chuveiro deixou a desejar e o ar condicionado do quarto era bastante barulhento, parecia que necessitava de manutenção. De qualquer forma, é uma boa opção de hospedagem com bom custo x benefício.

O quarto estava em boas condições. Não gostei do café da manhã, o queijo frescal era de qualidade baixa e o pão de queijo não estava gostoso. Pelo preço cobrado poderia ser muito melhor. O Gran Mercure Eixo cobra 2 reais a mais e o café da manhã é muito melhor. Tanto é que no 2º dia da minha estadia, optei por tomar café da manhã lá. Obrigada pela oportunidade.

O quarto era grande, limpo, a equipe atenciosa. O maior problema é uma obra que tá tendo em frente ao hotel, muito barulho pela manhã cedo, dificultando o sono. O café da manhã é bom, mas pode melhorar. A sanduicheira estava quebrada. Localização muito boa.

Ótima localização. Confortável e de fácil locomoção.
Duas observações a fazer:
1. O controle das luzes no quarto, não tem opção de desligar de forma individualizada por área;
2. Durante o café da manhã do domingo, assim que deu o horário de finalizar, os funcionários fecharam as portas (tudo bem para ninguém mais entrar) e começaram a retirar toda comida, mesmo com o salão ainda com muitos hóspedes. Inacreditável!! Nunca vi em nenhum hotel tamanha falta de cortesia.
