The hotel room operates only if you have the room key in a slot by the door. Therefore the A/C would shut off while out of the room. Even over night, the A/C did not cool though. Asked for extra pillows and at first the staff wanted to charge me for them. Booked this hotel primarily based on the dining options but only the buffet was operational due to renovations. Several options near by for food though. There is a hospital across the street so prepare for sirens around the clock. The room was also not what was pictured so it seemed a little tiny and out dated. Pros: felt safe during the stay, could walk to convenience store and some dining near by, bus stops near by, and gym was easily accessible.

Nice stay for a weekend away

Check in was easy and the room was spotless. Sheets and towels were crisp and floor didn’t have any weird visible stains. Mattress was stiff and hard but that was the only complaint. Breakfast buffet was worth the upgrade. The views from our room were amazing and the staff was very helpful.

17층 Executive 에서 가장 끝 방에 있다 보니 높이만큼이나 뷰도 좋았습니다. 객실도 깨끗하고, 프론트의 직원들도 매우 친절하고 대응도 빨랐습니다.
옛날 방식의 에어콘이다 보니 온도가 빨리 내려가지 않는 부분은 요즘처럼 더운 날에는 약간은 아쉬운 부분입니다만 뭐 그 정도야. 코로나 때문에 뷔페가 단품 운영하게 된 것 또한 아쉽지만, 조식 식당이나 중식당도 괜찮았습니다.

I booked a room for three adults and we checked in after midnight. An extra bed wasn’t prepared in advance and a staff advised because of late check in, they may not be able to provide the bed but need to double check. We didn’t bother and ended up two of us sleeping on one of the single beds. There were also two shower towels and slippers only and so we had to call the reception. Overall not very satisfied.

For business this is a good hotel. The limo bus can be a bit confusing cause they only announce in Korean and the first stop “Hanif town” also mentions Ramada plaza. In Korean they say next stop so avoid the mistake of getting off too soon. Hotel is clean and rooms are well presented. Restaurant food isn’t so cheap but not bad and they also offer Indian food.

Great stay as always

I had a great stay at the Ramada. My only complaint would be with the air con which was blowing warm air throughout the night, irrespective of the setting, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
The reception desk informed me the central AC is switched off at night (something I haven't experienced in years past staying at the Ramada). With no possibilities to open a window, the hotel offered to provide me with a fan instead.
The Ramada remains my hotel of choice in Suwon, but should the Air con issue be a new hotel policy, I would look to stay at other hotels in the area in the future.

I thought hotel staffs were never interested new guest. They were just talking when my family arrived at the hotel lobby. No one help four families luggages and unclean bathrooms condition and not enough towels. Again this is not 4 stars hotel.

The hotels rooms are big and comfortable. My room was smelling used and Smokey. When I asked for a change the reception staff wasn't very helpful and just said that although the room is non smoking some people smoke. They could not move me into another room because they were fully booked. That was it.

OK apart from Air Conditioning and Brekfast

I arrived in the evening and checked in, first impression of the room was very nice, I then went out to dinner with friends.

I tried to have breakfast at the Chefoo restaurant on the 5th floor, but they insisted on trying to charge me 33,000 KRW for the full \"American\" buffet breakfast when all I wanted was a Continental breakfast (Coffee and Toast) - I ended up leaving and going to Starbucks just across the road for my breakfast, and the next morning I went to Dunkin Donuts just to the left of the hotel - neither was my preferred choice, but there was no other option as I wasn't going to pay the amount of money the restaurant wanted for food that I didn't want. If I'd ordered room service for breakfast I could have a had a Continental breakfast for 16,000KRW.

During the first full day in the hotel I was working in my room using my laptop and I became aware the room was getting uncomfortably hot - The Thermostat was set at 20C which is as low as it would go but the control panel was showing a symbol indicating it was heating the room not cooling it. I went down and spoke to reception, they said it was because of the weather that the system didn't work - that explanation makes no sense at all to me. However they quickly moved my room without any fuss. The new room was just as nice but I wasn't able to set the temperature below 23C - it was ok but I'd have liked it slightly cooler - I have since seen many other reviews reporting faults and issues with the A/C.

Room thermostat wasn't working, took a few hours before I was allowed to move to new room. That thermostat wasn't perfect, but figured it out. Buffet Italian dinner gave me a gastric bug. First time in a long time, but the bulgogi did taste a bit iffy.
Note, the bus stop to return to airport is 10 minute walk away, or 5000 WON by cab.

Exploring in Suwan

Ramada Plaza Suwon was comfortable, clean, close to bus stops and restaurants. Many coffee shops in the area. Walk to the subway is about 15-20 min, but an easy walk. Hotel was nice. We didn't speak Korean, but the concierge and desk personnel did speak English. No shuttle buses at the hotel, but they are willing to arrange taxis if needed.

This is a very nice place to stay in Suwon, only complaint is the effectiveness of the air conditioning! I've stayed here a dozen times, and it's always the same... The rooms cannot be brought down to what I consider a comfortable temp (20 C), it's always too warm (24 C or more)... luckily, there is a small window to open which helps at night! I don't stay here in the summer months, it's too uncomfortable. In the summer I stay at Hotel Castle just down the street. There's sometimes a slight odor too....

Finally a business hotel in Suwon that allowed to turn heat off. Could keep the room at 23 C without opening a window. Two minuses - the bus to the airport does not stop at hotel and no other option for breakfast than a buffet.

I was here on a business trip. I was very pleased with the staff who were very courteous and accommodating. The room was very neat with enough sockets to power multiple devices. They even had a US socket so I could charge two devices simultaneously as I only had one US-Korea adaptor. Both check in and check out processes were very smooth. They allowed me to check in around 11 AM even though, the official check in time was around 2 PM. Breakfast buffet and hotel's Italian restaurant had excellent food options. I didn't have time to use the gym facilities but I did have a look and they looked good.

Very nice hotel, appropriate for business stay -- not very good location for tourists.
The wifi was SLOW!
Don't believe that there is an airport shuttle. The hotel booked me on an expensive (more than $100) taxi when I requested their \"airport shuttle\" that they advertised. There is a less expensive ($11) option that is an express shuttle to a nearby location -- much better alternative.

The room was very nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We ate at Chefoo's, the buffet restaurant, and we're very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food. Wine was a bit pricey at £10 - £12 for a very small glass (well large glass with very little wine in it) but then again it was in a hotel in Korea (where wine is generally quite expensive).

Suwon business hotel.

Good business hotel in Suwon. Better than the Castle and the Ibis, but there isn't much around the hotel. If you want a good choice of bars and restaurants in walking distance the Ibis is a better choice.

The air conditioning seems to be quite tempremental, switching on and off somewhat unexpectedly.

Descent Business Hotel

I stayed one night at the Ramada while traveling to Camp Humpreys. Its still about 45 minutes away, but was the closest that I found online. The hotel was rather new, and has big potential. I couldn't get my A/C to come on and when I went down to the front desk, they explained that the the A/C system was off-line and that I should open my window. They offered to move me to the older wing which had A/C, but I decided to give the window a try. It was April 3rd, so the weather was still quite cool, and as I was on the 15th floor, the open window worked just fine.

The other issue was that there were apparently no traps build into the drains, so with the window open, the room began to smell of sewer gas. I filled the bathtub and sink with water and put wet tissues over the floor drain to block the stench. Overall, it the stay was fine, but I would not rush back there. For my purposes, I should probably have just stayed in Seoul.

Comfortable new hotel

The hotel was so new that most taxis had difficulty finding it. Judging from the number of other guests we saw, so did most guests! It's not very conveniently situated and the local area is of little interest. The room was comfortable in a clinical sort of way. Free broadband was a bonus. Not all restaurants were functioning but the buffet dinner at the main restaurant was excellent and buzzing with locals.

단점:
1. 전 사용자가 나이드신 분이었는지 처음 방문 열고 들어가는 순간부터 체크아웃 할때까지 가령취가 심해서 (특히 소파 등 패브릭 제품 근처) 많이 힘들었습니다. 환기를 시키거나, 섬유탈취제라도 좀 뿌려주면 좋겠습니다.
2. 배수구 욕조 마개 고정이 안됐습니다.
3. 맞은편에 큰 공사현장이 있어 뷰는 기대하면 안됩니다.

장점:
1. 편의점과 스타벅스가 근처에 있습니다.
2. 리셉션 직원분들이 친절합니다.

총평: 다시 수원에서 묵을 일이 있더라도 이곳을 재이용하지는 않을 것 같습니다.
