Expedia helped us to book this room, when our \"reservation\" in Wautoma was inexplicably cancelled. Shawn from Expedia was extremely helpful to us, as we were in a tough situation. Many hotels were booked due to the EAA gathering in Oshkosh, WI. This room was booked for us at the original rate we had booked in Wautoma. We are thankful for Shawn's assistance!

The very definition of budget hotel on a non budget price. The staff is quite unfriendly, the room smelled of cigarette smoke and the air conditioner was so loud you could hardly sleep.

My review of each category is a result of poor management decisions. Almost 8 weeks ago I booked 2 rooms and inadvertently selected the wrong checkout. I called the property within an hour. They refused cancel my reservation and they could not accommodate my additional day request. Poor poor poor.

The air quality was so bad from the wild fires, Our daughter was really struggling with her asthma and we decided not to stay in that area. I called that morning to see if I could get a refund or at least move the date to a later time. They said no. Apparently breathing in a bunch of smoke isn’t a good enough reason to get a refund.

The hotel is starting to look a little worn. Our bathroom door had a hole in it, and some of the walls and doors were worn and had scratches. Our entire floor smelled like cooked food. Also, our door to our room would not properly latch the only thing we could do to get it to close all the way was to lock it from the inside, which wasn’t helpful when we were going to leave. We discussed with the front desk and they said that the hotel was safe and they were cameras, and that was supposed to make us feel better. I would not recommend this hotel and I would not stay here again.

Upon arrival I notified the staff the room had no shower curtain and it remained that way for all 3 nights. I would just put a towel down to absorb the over spray. Windows dirty and cracked. Ice machine broken and only 1 for entire hotel. Lastly same scrambled eggs and sausage all 3 breakfasts.

Will not stay there again.

It was a great, standard, hotel visit. Nothing unexpected and nothing above and beyond. The breakfast was hot and ready and the staff was gracious with a few extra minutes before closing up and cleaning up.

The pool was nice as well, there is a kiddie pool, wish there was a hot tub. The pool areas was quite sauna warm feeling but getting out of the water was wonderful!

This place was so rundown I cannot believe I paid the rate I paid for it on a Monday evening. I paid less for my nice hotel in Vegas over the weekend. Everything was falling apart and just felt yucky. The bed was clean and comfortable, but literally everything else was in disrepair. The luggage cart, the ac, the bathroom. There was a plunger just sitting next the to toilet. There’s a “rec room” but even the pool tables cost money and felt like a money grab rather than an amenity. There was nowhere to even fill a water bottle, other than the juice machine that ran at a trickle. Booked based on Expedia rating of excellent reviews and 3 star hotel. Felt like a super 8 that should have cost no more than $65. Very disappointed. Will likely only book based on brand rather than relying on Expedia reviews.

For a discount Hotel, our room was very nice and the Breakfast was very good. Game room was used by some families. We did not use the Pool or Exercise room, so no opinion there.

One downside that we noticed, was that their water softener was too much!
I took a shower, but despite rinsing and rinsing, I felt that I couldn't rinse off the soap or shampoo. My wife said her skin felt sticky even after drying off.

Property was dirty and unkept. Pool was very dirty, floating chunks of hair and black scum on the pool floor. We had requested a room with two beds and a pull out and were told when we checked in that all that was available was one bed and a pull out. Upon entering the room, the pull out had no linens and none were in the room, the mattress was filthy with food crumbs and stains covering it with no cover or protector. Called to the front desk who told us to come down and grab the items. Went to the front desk and was provided one flat sheet. Asked for more linens for a full bed set up and was handed a blanket and told the had no pillows or other linens. Very disappointing and quite disgusting. No apologies or remedies were offered.

The outside of the facility looks great, and the check-in process was fine.

Our room was not only in need of some repairs (hole in the bathroom door, paint missing in some small areas), but the room was physically dirty. There was a red substance (I can only hope it was pizza sauce!) on the bathroom light switch. I have pictures. It was gross. It really makes you question the cleanliness of the room.

We were disappointed that there was no hot tub, but that was my fault for not being more observant. Breakfast was ok; not horrible, but there was room for improvement.

At check-in, staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean --however we did find a piece of gum stuck to the curtains that was not removed (which was pretty gross!)

We were a bit disappointed in the pool area. It was really hot in the room, the chlorine was very strong and overall it seemed very outdated and dingey in there --with kind of a funky musty smell. Also, there was no hot tub as listed just a small kiddy pool area.

I used the fitness room and it was clean and had everything I needed. I was a bit disappointed there was no water cooler or TVs but I had my own water bottle and music.

The reason I chose to write this review is because the night we stayed here there was a huge thunderstorm. Our room sounded like rain was pouring into it. It was so loud that my husband and I got up several times to make sure it wasn't dripping/pouring into the room. It seemed like a major design flaw because every 30 seconds it sounded like one of those giant buckets at a water park that fills up with water and then dumps. The rain would pool into something and then there was a giant rat-a-tat-tat on our window sill/window that was so loud it woke all of us up (family of 5). We do believe this was a unique experience and likely won't happen to most visitors. All we could do was laugh about it. It sounded like we were in the last hour of the move, The Perfect Storm.

Overall, we would stay here in a pinch. It was ok for the price.

Walls are paper thin. You can hear what the people in the next room are thinking.

Breakfast was nasty. Very nasty.

Pool is fantastic. Later weekend hours would be nice.

Water pressure in the shower was very low. To the point where it is difficult to wash the shampoo out of your hair. Also, the water temperature was not very high. The hotel was very clean the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I would stay there again, as the pro's definitely outweighed the cons.

HOWEVER, the next morning we went to fill up the hot tub in our room and the water was basically ice cold. Thankfully we had a late check out and decided we’d wait an hour or two for hot water and just take a shower. Even after waiting a good long while the shower was still cold as well. Unsure if they were having water heater issues or not but the whole reason we booked the room was for the in room hot tub that we weren’t even able to use. Book at your own risk. Staff very friendly during checkin. Our party had 2 room and requested them be next to each other. Our first room smelt like smoke to the point we didnt go beyond the door. Staff remained friendly, but tried to put us on another floor because rooms were not yet cleaned at 4pm. Another employee came over and put us in a \"suite\" on the same floor. We accepted this graciously and proceeded to the room. It was a very large room with full kitchen, however it didnt get better drom there. Toilet had a bad leak and ran the entire stay, shower head in bathroom was broken to the point you had to lean against the wall to get in the water. We dealt with things and proceeded to the pool with the kids. No hot tub (our mistake to not check on this) but otherwise had a good time. After a bite to eat we took all the kids to the arcade as promised. Only to find out that all \"arcade\" games have been replaced with slot machines. Witnessed someone elses child accidentally drop a ping pong paddle on the floor from the table. It cracked at the handle and he went to front desk to tell them. Staff came in demanding the parents room number and charged them $10 to replace what looked like a 20yr old scrap of wood at this point. Ended up spending the rest of the night with our group of 9 in our rooms playing cards because none of the advertised entertainment existed any long dor the kids. At that point we found out that heaters were not working properly either. Sweated all night on max ac. NEVER AGAIN!

When we walked in, the room was FREEZING, but we fixed that right away (just never had that experience). The bathroom floor was VERY sticky, my guess is too much cleaning solution and not enough water mixture, but that's just a guess. The toilet wasn't flushing, no matter what we did (and we only peed) so we called the front desk. they came up, said they can bring us a plunger. I asked if we could change rooms because I didn't feel that I should have to use a plunger each time I needed to use the bathroom. He seemed a little annoyed but let us change rooms. The 2nd room was fine except the remote didn't work. I didn't want to deal with it so I left a note on top of the remote saying it didn't work. The last thing was, we were there for a college visit. About 10 mins after we left the hotel, my daughter realized that she forgot her nose ring on the bathroom counter. I called and asked if they had found it, he said that they were on that floor now cleaning and he was going to have them check. I asked that he leave me a message as I won't be able to answer due to the tour we were going to be in. I did get a call back, but no message. I called and he said that they didn't find it. Just seemed like they were quick to call back and didn't even really look for it; so $20 later we had to get a replacement. Again, I know this was my daughter' fault for leaving it behind but maybe have a better eye when cleaning the counters as I'm sure she's not the first to leave any type of jewelry.
