The place was well maintained. However, I advised the person in the reception that my mother will have difficulty going up and down the stairs and I was given the deaf ear. We managed being stuck in the 2nd floor with no elevator but just ignoring what was stated was poor customer service in my part. She didn’t want to have her breakfast because of this situation.

The room was great, the breakfast was excellent. Hall carpets need cleaning. My biggest complaint was the planting beds outside. Nothing but weeds. Bad 1st impression.

The air conditioning had wall mounted unit to control the window unit, it didn’t work. There was a $75 refundable charge in case of any damage in the room, if I had informed the desk about the broken, i could have been charged for the previously broken unit. The window also had no screen, so my only source for fresh air didn’t keep the bugs out. Breakfast was good with very attentive servers.

Breakfast was good, staff were grumpy. Room was clean, but bathroom was a poor renovation that needs it again, no vent fan and mold was visible. Shower head was low, even for my 5'3\" height due to a bathtub being put over another bathtub. Outside of building is gold vinyl siding that looks grey due to the freeway exhaust on the outside. Filthy. lighting even when turned all on and all the way up in the room was very dim. Room was quiet. tub didn't want to drain very well during shower, toilet slow in flush. bathroom flooring planking had seams too big, mold growing in between them. parking lot spots striping so worn out couldn't tell where parking spots were. Was not worth the money, I will not return.

On arrival the outside grounds could have been better kept. I was greeted by a young man who I later found out was the general manager Andre. My face/eyes were swollen due to allergies. I asked Andre if any pets have been in the room assigned to me and he assured me that no pets have been in that room and even took me to the room to be sure. The room was clean, and smelled fine, and I didn’t sneeze upon entry, so I was happy.

We waited 30 minutes just to get checked in, we were tired from traveling. I did not enjoy that our room was adjoining another room. Guests next door were loud and kept opening and slamming the adjoining door. Room was clean and beds were comfortable with the exception of the sheets were rough and scratchy.

I will not stay at a La Quinta again because of your extra charge if we got in early. Thats not right. I paid for the room for the night. I should not have to pay extra if i get in 1/2 hour early. Also, the property needs some serious upkeep.

Room could have been cleaner but manager was really nice, the breakfast was much better than expected, and beds were comfy so not bad.

The room was clean, neatly kept and free from odors. Microwave, mini-fridge and TV all worked as expected. Absolutely LOVED the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel pump dispensors in the shower. The hand lotion dispensor mounted by the sink was a nice touch too. I was VERY impressed with their free breakfast buffet. Scrambled eggs, sausage and hash rounds all served hot and perfectly cooked. Typical waffle iron, 2 cereal choices, oatmeal, yogurt, 2 juices, milk and coffee. Didn't see a bowl of apples and bananas as usual, but they had a bowl of fruit salad with cantalope, pinapple and grapes which was a nice surprise. And everything dutifully attended to by the awesome and friendly staff member, Theresa! She was very welcoming and helpful. Her fantastic service is why I'm taking time to type this positive review!!

Great value. Interior appears to have been recently updated. Comfortable bed. Ac/heating unit in room worked well - temperature was comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast was good with plenty of food and options including waffles, biscuits & gravy, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and fruit. Coffee, ice water and fruit was available all day.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was cleaned but had obvious water damage in the bathroom door didn't close because of this and the fan wouldn't turn on. The toilet was cracked from the floor to the bottom of the bowl. There was mold in the shower. When we walked in the room it smelled like someone had recently been spraying men's body spray like axe or something. The sheets were clean. Overall it was okay and I would book this hotel again for the price.

It’s a decent hotel for a 2 night stay. Check in and out was easy, breakfast was good. We had an issue with our sink having low water pressure. Also, the toilet tank seems to take a while to fill after being used. We liked having body wash attached to the shower wall but we’re not sure why lotion has to be there when there’s some by the sink. We stayed in room 212.

At one of the entrance doors there was a lot of trash. The trash lying around seemed like a potentially homless person or someone who had been kicked out of the property.

Didn’t stay because they wouldn’t take my business credit card upon check in do to a new policy. I used this card to book the hotel online with no problem. Now trying to get a refund.
The outside of this place looks terrible. They could at least cut the weeds and fix the siding.

The hotel was decent for a one-night transit stay on our way to Pictured Rocks. Breakfast was good—both in terms of quality and quantity—with no complaints there.

However, there are two areas that need improvement:

1. Check-in Experience: After a long drive, we expected a warm and efficient check-in. Unfortunately, the front desk attendant kept us waiting for several minutes while he was on a phone call. What was more disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment or apology for the delay.

2. Room Setup: The beds seemed smaller than expected—likely twin beds instead of queens—which made sleeping arrangements a bit cramped. Additionally, the room was stocked with only three towels, despite being booked for four guests.

Aside from these issues, it was a comfortable and satisfactory stay overall.

The people at the hotel were nice. The lady getting breakfast ready every morning was super awesome! Breakfast options were great. Our room was peaceful & the beds were comfortable. The smell in parts of the hallways was a really bad odor (like hold ur breath bad) & tile by the ice machine was broken. The parking lot is a bit rough as well. For the price I paid I did get a good value & probably would stay again.
