Although we stayed for just one night, and did it have time to enjoy any of the amenities on site, it was a clean room, the ladies at the front desk were very helpful with our questions, the hotel is in a great location and we got to also enjoy the Hullu Poro Bistro. Breakfast on our way out was delicious…so many options!

Our stay was awesome. Well furnished apartment, with all the cutlery, utensils, nice balcony view, sauna etc... However wifi is very poor in the deluxe apartment. And the apartment is on the other side of the main reception building, so every morning one has to put your jackets on and go to the main building for the breakfast. But it may not be a huge problem. But I'm just saying it.

Even when in the morning we was roasting hot and had receptionist checking on us as fire alarm went off.. sauna didnt switched off from the evening before..they send someone to fix it it was just a perfect place. Decent location, walking distance to Levi town and ski resort. Front desk staff very pleasant, room is spacious and very clean. But a bit on the older end, the shower head is quite rough, there is no shower curtain or shower door in the shower, my bathroom was like a flood scene after one shower. Breakfast was very very average. Overall, not too bad but not worth 275 CAD per night in my opinion.

Overall good location, have in mind is more like a 3* hotel, breakfast choices can be improved.

It's a nice place, close to the Zero Point ski slopes. We also had a private sauna for our room and it was awesome, we used it every day.
I had better breakfasts than here, but it was edible. Though we rather bought some pastries as a breakfast in the closest groceries.
Our room was quite spatious and even had a mini kitchen with microwave, fridge and sink.
In the bathroom there was a drier machine for the wet clothes which we found extremely useful.

All in all, we liked to stay here, probably would come back again.

Waaaay over priced!

I found Hullu Poro to be grossly over rated for the price you pay (we paid 250 euro per night) . I'd rate it 2 star at best. We were allocated a room/suite in the annex building, a tired old building 5 - 10 mins walk (with little ones) from the main building. I had booked the hotel for the ease of B&B which was a waste cause we had to get our full winter kit on to trudge out to the breakfast room on the 4th floor. Where we also had a buffet dinner one night - big mistake. 30 euro per adult and 15 per child; the food was mediocore at best, I mean, fine for a buffet, but not at that price - just the mind boggles how they could justify that price! The room itself was grim. The drying cupboard old, rusted and falling apart. The dishes and cutlery were filthy, plates stuck together etc. Just so so so over priced. The staff were ok, not overly friendly, just there to do a job, not particularly pleasant or unpleasant, just meh, and for 500 quid I'd really expect a bit more from them. Very disappointing :(

Great Hotel, location and facilities are great. I have stayed here several times mostly in the winter season. One shortfall this time was a basic breakfast range as it is off-season. This is vastly different to what is on offer at other times.

Quite a basic room, but it was what we expected for the price. Very cosy, lots of storage. Beds really comfortable. Big bath and powerful over bath shower. Fridge in room. The only minus points were not very soft toilet roll and no toiletries, just a gel in a dispenser. Staff were friendly and helpful, snacks to buy in foyer. Buffet breakfast, lots of choice but not much in the way of fry ups the British seem to want wherever they go. Very satisfied

I would not rate this hotel as 4* at most 3*
Staff seems to be inexperienced or not very well trained. Information were not given out at check in with regards to facilities available at the hotel. Most notable was the breakfast was held at the 4th floor restaurant, information which was not volunteered until asked. Neither was I informed about the complimentary use of spa pool and gym facilities or where they were located. This hotel is quite a large complex and there are 3 or 4 restaurants and the gym and spa pools are tucked away in the basement down a long corridor.
Breakfast was okay. Staff looked harried and not very cheerful. The place was understaffed. Bedroom was okay, bath was okay. Twin beds were horrid. they were too narrow and the mattress tops slide about so they often hang over the edge and needed to be pushed back in position. The mattresses are none too comfy either. For the price I paid it was not value for money, I expected better.

Stay away from Hullu-Porro

Our stay at Hullu-Porro was less than satisfactory. We were given a twin room despite asking for a double. Staff didn't mention this until we came in to the room and their only option to change this was to downgrade.

Beds were way too soft. Sheets are too small so that after a night of twisting and turning you lay on the actual mattress (that has some dodgy hairs on it). Balcony is useless as you share it with the entire floor (thus also meaning you need to have the curtains closed at all time)
And last but not least the breakfast is very poor.

2/5 would not stay again.

Hotel has some positives all based on its location. Its close to centre of Levi (5 min walk), next to a supermarket and alcohol shop and has restuarants, also it has free wifi so you find people sitting in the lounge areas just surfing. However unfortunately this is all I can rave about with this 4 star hotel - seriously is more like 3 star. The staff were friendly and helpful at the end of my trip but were rude at the start. I know my finnish is bad but on arrival the receptionist looked at me as if I was crazy to ask in finnish to check in and proceeded to speak slowly to me in English the fact I am English made that highly irritating. Also you have to be psychic in knowing your way around the hotel as they seem to not want to tell you on arrival - the elevator is through the lounge, breakfast is in the top floor restaurant, the gym and sauna/beauty treatments are on reception floor level and to the very far side of the hotel, oh and if you want to catch the airport shuttle bus wait outside the hotel not inside as I was told because it will assume no one wants it and will go - as was my case and had to pay for a taxi to the airport! But didnt affect trip too much as I tried to stay out as much as possible. There are lots of activities to do if you dont want to ski however most are overpriced and waste of time.

Excellent hotel in the centre of the village.

The hotel was so easy to get to on the local bus at just over 7 euros. As we arrived extremely late on the first evening we were given an alternative huge family room which was no issue as we were just glad to arrive but the staff were so attentative and offered us tickets for a concert that we had travelled to Levi to see and also vouchers for eating out. We were happy enough with just the offer so just took them up on the eating out vouchers.
When we got to our proper room it had everything that we needed, we have stayed at this hotel on many occasions previously and find it caters for every need.
Since our last stay with them they have changed the ground floor lobby area to include a 24 hour bar with snacks available which is a great improvement.
We have to admit that as we do not have children we found that staying at Hullu Poro at this time rather than just before Christmas was ideal as there were not lots of spoilt children running around causing havoc everywhere so we will return next February as we can not rate this hotel enough.
There are many other hotels in the village but this is by far the best, Well done Hullu Poro. Kiitos...

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean.
Breakfast was amazing. They had a very large buffet.

Within 5 minutes of walking you are in the center of Levi and ski gondolas.

They even have a washing machine in the cellar for use.

Majoitus oli meille mieluinen. Sauna ja parveke kruunasi vapun viettomme. Sängyt olivat todella hyvät. Siisti ja toimiva huone, vaikka pinnat hieman kuluneet. Se ei toki meitä haitannut. Hullu Poron aamiainen oli monipuolinen ja maittava. Hieman olisi toivonut osalta aamupalan henkilökunnalta lämpimämpää vastaanottoa. Ihan vaikka huomenen toivotuksen☀️

Hotelli kaipaa ehkä hieman jo päivitystä. Tilat alkaa näyttää kovin kuluneilta jo eikä vastaa tasoa, joka yleensä hotelleissa on. Siivousta ei ke-su välisenä aikana tehty kertaakaan. Yläkerrassa oli juhlijoita ja henkilökunta teki parhaansa hillitäkseen meteliä, joka kuului ja tuntui alempaan kerrokseen. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällistä, mutta luultavasti valitsen toisen hotellin seuraavaksi.

Hotelli hyvällä paikalla ns. kaikki lähellä. Astia / välineistö huoneistossa niukka, esim. juustohöylää ei ollut ollenkaan, jonka kävimme sitten itse ostamassa. TV huoneistossa oli, kuten huoneiston kuvauksessa lukikin, mutta sieltä ei näkynyt ollenkaan suomen kanavia. Perheellisenä olisimme kaivanneet, että illalla olisi voinut katsellaTV:tä. Tästä olisi pitänyt olla maininta hotellin sivuilla, jotta tähän voisi varautua.
