The ANA Crowne Plaza is an excellent conveniently located next to the Kanazawa Station business hotel. We staid one night when traveling through Kanazawa. We enjoyed dinner at the Japanese restaurant because of very good and the view at a Japanese garden. Our room was clean. Parking was provided underneath the hotel. Staff was helpful & friendly.

ANA Crowne Plaza Kanazawa is a big, friendly hotel that is easy to find, easy to reach, and comfortable in all the best ways. The staff was very helpful and attentive to my wife and I during our recent two-week stay. We tried one of the in-hotel restaurants, a Japanase traditional style restaurant of the 5th floor. It was splendid, quiet, spacious and beautiful, with a small roof-top Japanese style garden just outside the picture windows. The food was also excellent, served with much attention to traditional practices. Housekeeping, the bell captain and all other staffers we interacted with were excellent. The bar on 19 has a commanding view of Kanazawa downtown, especially nice at night. The hotel has laundry services, but we opted to use a neighborhood coin laundry (which also takes credit cards and some IC cards) about one block away. As usual among Japanese cities, the area around this hotel and the adjacent main train station has many shopping malls, hotels, shops, restaurants and other service businesses. In other words, it looked busy and successful, to us as visitors and foreigners. During our stay, the city celebrated its annual Hyakumangoku festival, which is one of the reasons we stayed in this city. We also explored various interesting districts nearby, and took a tour of a few regional areas of interest. Coming back in the hotel to a comfortable bed and hot shower after walking around a few hours always felt really good! I recommend this hotel.

The ANA Crowne Plaza was a great place to stay! Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great view from our room, and although the property is a but dated, it is meticulously and lovingly maintained. Our room had a full bathtub and some great free amenities to relax… bath salts, eye masks, and teas replenished daily. Highly recommended. Right y the train station and so many shops and restaurants!

But the room is likely outdated, actually kinda pricey for a small space.. and my boyfriend hates the old smell of the room though it doesnt bother me at all..

Clean decent size room (for Japan) with a desk so one can work. Property could use a revamp: lobby and sitting area furnishing were noticeable solid and tattered. Carpets had stains. Everything g was nice, but had a dated feel. Breakfast buffet is good value. Very convenient , next to train station and lots of shopping options. Short bus or cab to cultural attractions.

My stay at this hotel rocked my world. Literally. There was an Earthquake. The building stand tall and strong even though I was in a bit of a mess being my first time to experience this event.

Other than that, the hotel staff were all friendly, and I adore the additional items the hotel offers such as the bath power, heated eye mask, and other stuff that you don't usually see here in the States.

I had breakfast included in my stay, but due to my tight business schedule, I didn't get an opportunity to eat here.

Although we had booked a Deluxe room for two adults and two children (ages 7 and 9), no breakfast vouchers were provided for the children. We had to pay and an extra 12,000 yen per child per day for breakfast.

The location of the hotel was perfect, with 3 minutes walking distance from train station.
The front desk staff was helpful and friendly as well as the staff at the breakfast venue.
The hotel was extremely outdated and some condition was appalling. It was hard to imagine the room has no USB outlet. The restaurent seemed seriously short of staff. The breakfast venue was similar to a canteen instead of a 4/5 star hotel.

The best thing of this hotel is the location. It locates besides the Kanazawa station which offer very good and convenient transportation to visitors. But the facilities are relatively old. No USB was available which is one of the standard setting in hotel rooms for charging mobile device. Washroom facilities are also old.

Cigarette smoke in the three different rooms.

Had to use three different rooms because of cigarette smoke ingress. I eventually sealed the bathroom vent up and that solved our problem. Kept telling staff where the smoke was coming from. They really didn’t want to hear about it.. asked if anyone else complained about the smoke he said no. Reading different reviews on the hotel there were smoke related issues. Breakfast was very good and staff Overall we’re good. The hotel seemed a little old. Because of the smoke issue, I would not stay there again. I was on the 16th floor facing front or the street.

The Crowne Plaza is located next to the Kanazawa JR Station. As with othyer JR Stations, it's a hub of activity (transit center, shopping arcade, food options, etc). The property is relatively new and the rooms reflect that. The staff are helpful and my stay was enjoyable. I will return to Kanazawa and would stay at the Crowne Plaza.

The hotel is right outside of the Kanazawa Station. Perfect location. It is a fancier hotel so if you are willing to pay a little more per night, this would be the hotel to stay at. Breakfast buffet is really good which also included an omelette station.

The hotel has a certain standard of cleanliness and service but everything seemed average for an international brand. We been persuaded to upgrade to a room at a small cost thinking we could get some extra space and a better room. Unfortunately the room layout is very ill considered. It was a twin room, and one of the beds is literally across the doorway of the bathroom. It’s not even have enough space to pass the bed to access the bathroom with a clear width! I am a hotel designer myself and how can this ever be allowed to happen in an international hotel?

Really good service by the reception team, very friendly. Rooms are very clean but in need of an update (old bathroom suite, plug socket loose near the bed). Hotel bar upstairs charges a cover charge which is a bit odd. We tried to go to the tepanyaki restaurant but were told it was full for the following day... though we found out it was taking reservations when we walked passed the guide the followi.g day. However, well situated for the station which is a big bonus and as mentioned before the reception staff were very hospitable. Also note price doesnt include a Kanazawa city tax (200 yen per person per night)

Hotel full of smoke front desk trying to scam us into upgrading, didn’t honor our payment of the double bed standard room and gave us an itty bitty economy room that reeked of smoke all night and they charged us an extra $50 because we were two people instead of one even though the bed sleeps TWO. It was a total SCAM and I would never recommend this filthy unethical place EVER!!!!!!

Look elsewhere unless they renovate.

The ANA Crown Plaza must have been a good property in its day, but it’s looking dated and in need of an extensive renovation. If you can get a sharp price, then it’s probably okay but compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Kanazawa, it has fallen behind. I would recommend the Nikko across the street if one wished a property next to the train station.

Excellent access to the JR bus which can take you to the major attractions of Kanazawa including the Kenrokuen gardens, Kanazawa castle, 21st century museum of contemporary arts, Omicho market and Higashi chaya district.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Walking distance to the train station, close to many restaurants and easy walks to temples, market and castle. Only complaint was the front desk during check in.
The bellhop/concierge gentleman was absolutely helpful. Cannot give him enough stars. His service, demeanor and overall politeness was over the top.

Outdated tired hotel that needs a revamp. Don’t sleep on the rear of the property or you will hear the fans below (even on the 12th floor). Cleanliness of room could have been better. Western Breakfast wasn’t good and staff weren’t the happiest we have come across in Japan.

I would just like to write a note for the staff of ANA Kanazawa. This hotel is amazing and the staff are really honest. I left a huge amount of money in the hotel safe bay accident and they sent the money over to the next hotel I was at. I am really grateful to Mr Yoshiyama and his team for the help rendered. Thank You for the pleasant stay and sending my cash over to me. My family holiday would have been ruined if we lost the cash.

The hotel is ideally positioned within 300 metres of main trIn station so no problem walking with cases under a covered walkway. Also close proximity to Hop on/Hop off bus (at the train station) which takes you to all main sites around Kanazawa. We did not eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was excellent. Many small interesting restaurants within easy (10 minutes) walk from hotel.
