Hotel Vista is excellent and I would recommend to anyone to stay here! The location is fantastic as a 5 minute walk from Kanazawa station. The room was lovely - very nicely decorated and furnished. All anmenities were very nice. All the staff were so kind and helpful. The value for money is extremely good and I would definitely choose to stay here again!!

The room was good with a soaking tub and shower. A separate toilet with the Japanese bidet. Only heater and opened the window for cold air. Both Japanese breakfast and american breakfast with OJ, coffee, croissant, bread, scrambled eggs noodle soup, pancake, waffle, sausage, meatballs, and side dish items.

Good decor, clean room. We enjoyed breakfast buffet and public spa. We booked the room with daily breakfast, but we needed to leave for the airport early on the day we left. We asked if we can bring something like a takeout breakfast bag with us. They declined our request. It would be nice if they would let us bring some breakfast on our way out. This is the only regret that we had.

Good place for a short trip
After getting off a long haul flight and headed straight to Kanazawa, there was nothing more we wanted than a hot shower. They weren’t ready for us to check in initially, so we came back right before check-in hours. They were able to give us a room that was already cleaned with extra pillows we had requested at the time of booking. The hotel is surprisingly new and roomier than most standard hotel rooms in Japan. TV was small and placed in a rather strange location, but that’s not a big deal. Public bath was very nice with extra security provided with an additional key. The stay was overall pleasant, even though the hotel is somewhat similar to an American hotel business model (charging extra for little things such as water or extra towels).

Other side of station from most of the sights but only a five minute walk. Note that jr rail national passes work on 2 bus lines. Fare on others only ¥200 though if better times. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel.

Hotel Vista Kanazawa was amazing. From the moment I walked in it was a warm welcome from all of the staff. They were very helpful. Whether they spoke English or not, they always worked hard to make sure that everything was understood. Your room key scans to let you use the elevator. Once in the Elevator you scan your key again and it takes you to your floor, you don't even have to press a button. Breakfast was every morning, it was buffet style. They had Japanese breakfast and European continental breakfast. The Japanese breakfast was delicious, eggs cooked to perfection.
Inside my bedroom there was a tablet/Ipad that had information on it for everything in the local area and within the hotel. There are spa/public bath facilities they have male and female. You use your key to access it. That was 5 star. Stunning and had all the facilities to go with it; hair dryer, lotion, shampoo, towels, robes, slippers, ear swabs, etc..
Everytime I left the hotel and came back, I had a very warm welcome. Overall I had the best time there. I would recommend 100% and also I would return!

New, clean rooms with a spacious public bath on 2F, very comforting after a long day. Staff were friendly but don't expect any sort of concierge service like helping you book a restaurant reservation. I asked if they could help me (non Japanese speaker) to book a restaurant. They told me it was against their policy to do this. Also they couldn't explain to me what the phone charges would be if I used it, so I didn't.

Hotel is brand new and has nicer design than the usual chain hotels around a train station. The public bath was a very nice addition. Breakfast was pretty good in a bright and airy room and it’s got a lot of fruit on offer which is a nice touch.

Close to station and sign is visible from the JR exit - opposite Korokoen side - and on main boulevard. Opened less than a year ago and very clean. I had a compact double on the fourth floor which was alright - the open bath and restaurant are on the second floor and are both good. Only two elevators which can be slow at times. Overall, comfortable and convenient.

While it is near Kanazawa station, it is on the Western side of the station but most sites are on the Eastern side so it adds a few minutes of extra walking time if you wanted to walk to the sites, such as Omi-cho Market, Higashi Chaya area etc. But if you plan take the bus services from Kanazawa station to these sites, the hotel is perfectly convenient. One thing I noted was that the air-con / or heating was centrally controlled and I couldn't adjust the temperature in my room.

We stayed only one night and regretted not staying longer. Kanazawa is an amazing and beautiful city, and the hotel is great too. The hotel is well located, just a 10-minute walk from the subway. The hotel breakfast is very good. The room is wonderful — super comfortable, with a great shower and bed. We discovered too late that the hotel has public baths — a lack of attention on our part due to the tiredness from walking around the city and the short time we spent at the hotel. One day is not enough for either the hotel or Kanazawa. We would definitely return to the city and to this hotel.
