The room was spotless, the staff is world class. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a relaxing ambiance. The shuttle to and from the train station works very well and is very reliable. After hours the hotel can arrange a taxi. I recommend this hotel for a nice stay in Kanazawa

A newly built hotel just a few minutes by car from the centre (with a complementary and regular shuttle to the station). Excellent and spacious rooms, very welcoming staff, spotlessly clean, wonderful onsen facility and very wide and good choice for breakfast. Good value and lovely design. Highly recommend. Does not have in house lunch/dinner restaurant but plenty in town and some local ones nearby.

We took advantage of the shuttle transport from Kanazawa Station, which was just the begining of the many services this lovely hotel offers guests. Upon arrival we were greeted and our check in was processed in a very personal and welcoming manner, making us feel special and valued.

The hotel has an absolutely beautiful interior featuring muted colours, subtle lighting, a peaceful courtyard garden, restful public areas overlooking a lovely peripheral traditional Japanese garden, extensive artwork displays, reading areas on every floor and a rooftop area for contemplation.

Our room was arranged for maximum use of space and serenity, with wonderfully thoughtful features to enhance our feelings of cleanliness and comfort.

In our many years of travel, my husband and I have never before stayed in such a truly lovely and restful environment - our stay at the Kanazawa Sainoniwa Hotel will be remembered as a highlight of our first trip to Japan.

A GREAT place to stay In Kanazawa. The location is not easily walkable, so we either took a taxi or walked to a nearby bus station to get around, but everything else about this hotel was close to perfect and well worth the minor inconvenience of location. The hotel itself is uniquely beautiful in a modern way, everything is orderly and spotless. The room feature both traditional mat floors and futons, or beds with mattresses (all in the same room). The public baths are very spacious and clean (men vs women), and the breakfast is outstanding. 90% of the guests are comfortable walking around in their kimono/robes, and 90% are Japanese/asian. Truly feels like a place that caters to Japanese, but also very accommodating to westerners, so definitely stay here if you want a great Japanese experience, and did I mention the room rates are very competitive, if not on the low side.

Wonderful hotel. Beautiful room and great breakfast buffet, the hotel staff were very kind and accommodating. It is a little ways from the main touring areas but the hotel provides shuttle service to the train station so was no problems. The shuttle driver actually took our luggage to the hotel so that we can tour around before going the hotel to check in which made our first day go very smoothly. All in all, we had a wonder stay!

Quiet location with good service

Regular shuttle bus makes the hotel as convenient as nearby the train station. Buffet breakfast is with great variety and plentiful. Service is good and staffs are very welcoming. Lounge with free beverage is definitely a plus. Room is clean, spotless, with amenities provided. Parking space is provided free. Coin laundry facility is available despite we did not use during our stay.

Great hotel with amazing service, very attentive with welcome tea. They are not in the centre but have frequent complimentary shuttle bus from/to the train station. They also have luggage storage facilities at the station. Good breakfast. They put the country flags of their guests in reception which is a nice touch.

This hotel is just freaking fantastic. That's all you really need to know.

But, to write more, everything about the Sainoniwa is wonderful. The staff is exceptionally detailed oriented and helpful. They think of everything. The hotel is new and beautiful.

The only quibble is the location in Kanazawa. It's not quite near the center of town. But, it's absolutely worth it, and the hotel runs a shuttle twice an hour.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Kanazawa.

It’s not possible that in a “new hotel”the air conditioner doesn’t work, cause you only have the option of warm or cold and hotel choose it for you, even your room in the day is a Sauna.
I try to fix it both days, but they only offer me that I can open the window.

The hotel is beautiful, creating a zen like atmosphere. Staff is most accommodating and more helpful than any other hotel I have ever stayed at. There is good shuttle service to the train station. Check in was fast, efficient and the staff were polite and so accommodating. Room was smallish but spotlessly clean, amenities were great, had everything we wanted. Called a cab for us for dinner and booked a table and then waited until the cab came to give the driver instructions in Japanese. Breakfast buffet one of the best in Japan. Couldn't fault the hotel in any way, definitely recommend staying here if you come to Kanazawa.

Very nice choice in Kanazawa if you drive

A very very nice modern hotel with Japanese tradition. It provides Japanese style indoor clothes for guest that you can wear to walk around like a traditional old-styled hotel. And it has a nice public hot bath! The rooms are in very new, clean conditions. Staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very nice too. Highly recommendable!

Real Omotenashi with flexible western service

The hotel really provides great facilities, breakfast, quiet onsen and more importantly, service and care. I stayed with my family (2 kids) and would certainly return. Location is a bit off, nonetheless, it is offset by all the qualities. It will cost you around JPY1,500 to go to the main tourist attractions. Shittle bus takes you to Kanazawa station.

Room was clean stuff are all nice and friendly. It was bit away from main station (not walking distance) but they have bus service (free) to the station which was very helpful.
Japanese style public bath was very clean and nice too.
Best of all breakfast was excellent but it may be little too fishy (grilled fish served from morning which is common for Japanese) for forgin visitor who has less traveling experience in Japan.
Appart from grilled fish smell (which is ok for Japanese) breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is a short hop by bike (which you can borrow) or courtesy bus (every 40 mins) to the train station. the hotel has very good facilities including spa - onsen, a superb breakfast and is very clean and quiet.

It is in a slightly odd location but that does not detract. It is a good base for exploring Kanazawa - which was a great surprise as a fascinating place.

An unexpected experience.

Stayed for one night. V goid impression of the hotel. Bed is double bed size even if meant to sleep just one person. Spacious room w a separate living/dining room area, which is big enough to add one extra bed even when it has a japanese style dining table set. 2 TVs in the room, video on demand available. My dad enjoyed some kung fu movies. Everythg is clean n new. Didnt try the public bath but it looked comfy. Good quality bfast w range of choices, including both western n japanese style. Shuttle bus between station n hotel available. Lobby staff speak ok English. Good service.

The hotel is very modern, comfortable and inviting. It is a little bit distant from the centre of town, but a shuttle bus service overcomes the issue. Fantastic recommendations from staff for restaurants.

Awesome hotel!!

Incredible hotel for the price! Great facilities and amazing breakfast buffet! The only downside is the location which for us was not a problem as we liked walking around and exploring! It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the main lovely areas and the hotel is in the middle of a residential area...but hotel is amazing!! Very boutique hotel feel! Free laundrette as well!

Perfect hotel

This new hotel is 'modern Japanese' style. The room was a good size with lounge area and big bathroom and well fitted out. The whole hotel is beautiful including the gatdend

Great hotel

Very nice hotel. Location is a little bit off center but it has free shuttle to the train station. The service is exceptional and the rooms are well appointed. Will definite come back to this hotel.

９月１８日から２泊３日でお世話になりました。今回は私の還暦祝いの旅行で、金沢に数多くあるレベルの高いホテルの中から、妻がしっかり調べて彩の庭ホテルさんを選んでくれました。
金沢駅からホテルの送迎バスを利用しましたが、スタッフの方の対応が素晴らしく、ホテルに着く前から良い気持ちになりました。
ホテルは施設全体が綺麗で、清掃も行き届いていましたし、装飾品や調度品も素敵でした。
彩の庭ホテルさんの朝食は金沢旅行の楽しみの一つでしたが、どれもこれも美味しくて、金沢の食文化を思いっきり堪能しました。
スタッフのみなさんの対応も素晴らしく、金沢旅行の良い思い出が出来ました。また、利用したいホテルです。

従業員のみなさんに大変親身にご対応いただき、感激しました。
室内はもちろん館内全体が清潔で、気持ちよく過ごすことができました。
今回は夫婦のみの宿泊でしたが、今度は子供も一緒にお世話になりたいと思います。

近くにあるお寿司屋さんに行きましたが、常連さんがいっぱいだったからか、私達が入っても注文も全く聞いてもらえず。ビールを運んできていた女性のからも何も声をかけてもらえなくて、どうしたら良いか分からずでした。
お客様が煙草を吸い始める段階で、嫌な気分になって出て来ましたが。結局、その時も何も声がけがなくて、こんなお店があるのかとビックリしました。
その後、金沢駅まで行きましたが。早く食事をしてホテルでゆっくりしようと思ってた計画がすっかり台無しになりました。

部屋、設備などは綺麗な上に調度品もセンスのいいモノが多く、快適に過ごせました。

残念な点と言えば駅や近江町市場などの観光地から少し離れているところでしょうか。
駅までの送迎バスはあるものの、不便さは否めないかなと思います。

ただそれを上回る落ち着いた雰囲気が魅力ではないかと思います。

とても素晴らしい対応をしていただきました。

両親との旅行で利用させていただきました。お部屋、お食事ともにとても素晴らしいかったです。
大浴場も清潔でとても気持ちよかったです。
朝食時、満席だったため10分ほどラウンジで待っていたのですが帰りに待ったことに関して一言謝罪をくださり、スタッフさん内でとても連携が取れているんだなと母も感心しておりました。
また金沢に旅行の際には利用させていただきたいです。
知人に自信を持って紹介できるホテルだと思いました。
