Nice staff, all was clean but carpets and such getting a little worn. WiFi was not great which was frustrating. Also, there is a good restaurant and bar in the hotel BUT if you stay over the patio areas there will be late night noise/people talking/laughing until 1-2am. I was working nights so not a problem but if you are not, stay towards the front or sides of the hotel, not near the porch facing the water.

Everything is clean and orderly. Everyone is delightful. I didn't catch that breakfast wasn't included, so it was a bit of a surprise when I got a bill. It was good, take advantage of the omelette bar if you get it, but $15 is still a bit expensive when there are cheaper options

My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront was outstanding. The property was genuinely clean from the lobby to the room, and housekeeping clearly pays attention to details that matter—fresh linens, spotless bathroom, and no stale odors. The location on the riverfront makes the whole place quiet and calm at night, which is a big plus if you’re traveling for work or just need real rest.
Parking was easy every day, well lit, and close to the entrance, so the property felt safe coming in late. There are solid dining options on site and nearby, and the bar and breakfast service were fresh, organized, and staffed by people who actually care about customer service. The hotel is also convenient to shopping and the downtown area without dealing with traffic headaches.
Overall, this is a well-maintained Hilton with professional staff, a comfortable layout, and the kind of consistency you expect from the brand. I’d stay here again without hesitation and would recommend it to anyone needing a reliable place in the Suffolk area.

The room had no shampoo or conditioner for our morning shower (they corrected later that day). Our room was situated over the entrance so we heard music 24-7 (it took us awhile to figure out it was from the entrance not the person below us). You had to turn on the A/C to keep the room at a comfortable temperature, otherwise, it was 80 degrees in the room. (bonus, it drowned out the music). The side door security entrance wasn't locked so anyone could enter the premises. We've been going for 5 years. It keeps going down.

I grew up in Suffolk and moved away due to joining the military. Often times when I cme back home i would stay at this establishment because it was nice and clean. However, that is no longer the case. The 3rd floor hall smells like animal urine. It was a horrible smell. The carpet in my room was dirty as well. The toilet did not flush unless you held the flusher down. I will not be staying here again.

The room was very modern. There were some odd things such as several holes where the toilet paper holder has been reattached many times. The AC doesn’t have a constant fan setting which makes for an extremely loud stay. Our room was close to the elevator so every time the elevator moves you can hear it very clearly. In addition, you can hear all of the echoes from the lobby. Overall comfortable but definitely bring your earplugs.

My stay was great until my sleep was interrupted around 4:30am by the sound of the fire alarm. We were up and outside because there was a fire on one of the front porches. After the all clear the fire alarm went off at least two more times. Other than that my stay was good

Parking was ok but company trucks park across the spaces so about 14 spaces were not able to be used. I had to park on the other side of the hotel and walk around to the front late at night by myself, felt very unsafe. These trucks should be parked on the other side of hotel. It’s very unfair

We have stayed here 3 years in a row now. Very nice location, staff is very friendly and helpful, pet friendly and the veranda is beautiful and so relaxing after a day of traveling. It’s so great that the restaurant will serve our meals on the veranda so that our pets can be with us and the food was wonderful. Only downfall this year was a fire alarm at 6 am. But we did meet a lot of friendly guests because of it. All of us in our PJs.

Great property but this location has two dead mummies outside of their bathrooms on the first floor. They are statues hanging on the wall. I felt so uncomfortable walking in to use the bathroom. The statues look demonic and not appropriate for this hotel. I would never visit again if they don’t remove those things. It’s interesting what some would consider art. I spoke to the workers who agreed the statues are not appropriate and other people have complained. Yet they’re still on the walls so I assume this will go no where. Which is fine. I just wouldn’t come back.

Ugh! I never leave a review but here I am. We really wanted the experience to be great but it really wasn’t. We paid the extra 20 to get a window “view” it really wasn’t the window view. Couldn’t see much out of our window just spider webs. We didn’t get much sleep, the walls must be very thin because we had someone next to us who left the tv on all night we kept waking up in the middle of the night. So no sleep
So we couldn’t enjoy our stay and breakfast was average as well. Nothing origanized… each table for breakfast has a price but we paid in advance online…. I would have been nice that they would have a list of guest already paid than finding out ( surprised ) you pay extra for a meal that wasn’t worth it. At check out we never got even asked how it went or how was our experience was. We hated the whole experience we left super early.
The appeal is there but not enough for us

The restaurant onsite had great food all three meals . The wait staff was excellent . Very attentive including the bar staff . Check in and out was smooth. It is an older hotel but kept up well and everything was very clean . The view from the porch out to the river is beautiful and relaxing .

It's the bathroom (tub, mirror)was diry.
The toilet kept running in my room 409.
The server in the dining room name Frankie was the worse server ever. We ordered three omelet and received one, after WAITING, we inquired about the other two after WAITING and getting the manager. The two omelets came with tomatos when i requested not tonhave them the other omelet came with ham when my sister requested not to have ham. My sister asked for pepper and we the server came with pepper to placed it on the other side ofbthe table opposed to putting it close to the person who requested the pepper. Franie was very rude in her comments.

This is a wonderful property. From the minute I walked in the door to check in to the time we left the property, I felt welcome and at home. The front desk staff is absolutely wonderful. The check in process was a breeze. The rooms are large and comfortable. I was traveling with my daughter and I felt the hotel was very family friendly. The location is picturesque. The restaurant “Crust and Cork” in this hotel is fabulous. We had a wildly good time just chatting and enjoying the atmosphere and the beautiful view. They make a fantastic lemonade cocktail called the “Crust and Cork” that is out of this world. Their food is fantastic. Especially their Cacio e Pepe, pizza and wings! Their Mango sorbet is delicious too. If you are passing through and need a place to rest and relax. This is the one. We will return on our next trip to the area. It was a wonderful experience!

We requested to checkin at 4pm and when we got there we were told the room was cleaned but not “inspected.” We did not get in the room until after 7pm. The phone in the room did not work and had absolutely not control of AC. We slept in sweatshirts it was so cold. I also suggest there be a sign in the room informing customers the room is only cleaned every other day! Is that a thing now? Shame on Hilton for that. Also, unless you survive on fast food, there is nowhere to eat!

We selected this based on a wedding. No A/C in hallways on the floor we were on. Loud fans were used. Once they were turned off, musty smell returned. We had several rooms. Each had its own issues. The wedding venue and food were wonderful. The accommodation infrastructure needs attention.
