The air handlers were very loud. My room was changed and the heat never went higher than 67. Room was drafty. The linings were dingy and duvet cover had pulls in the fabric and pillows were lumpy!! This place needs a major facelift.
The staff and new General Mgr however were outstanding! I was extremely impressed with how responsive and kind they were.

Extremely disappointed. Sticky urine all over toilet; sofa bed had crumpled used sheets with stained paper towels in it. Sticky substance on floor next to bathroom. Vending machines were removed throughout hotel after first night so water bottles couldn’t be purchased. The last night they finally offered water for purchase. Been staying at Hilton properties for many years but probably not anymore.

Air conditioner was leaking way, maintenance couldn’t fix it until the next day.
Checked about maintenance next day and they said they didn’t see the request. They put it in again and it was finally fixed.

Asked for housekeeping because I was out of towels from the AC flood and was told no because they only do it every other day and they already went around at 8am.. they said they’d at least drop off towels but no towels when I returned that evening. The gentleman at the desk finally brought up towels himself.

The hot tub jets or heating element were not working. They said they were going to get rid of the hot tub. The pool water was so cloudy that you couldn’t see your feet.

Unfortunately the cleaning staff apparently quit and the replacements were terrible.
I arrived Fri late afternoon and room not ready. I checked out Monday, they never cleaned my room and the soap dispenser was empty. Fortunately I had some in my bag. No regular coffee in room.Then I got an added charge for $1.95 two days after checkout. Not worth a phone call to dispute. It wasn't for water because there wasn't any in the room. Very disappointing.

The fifth floor hallway was very dirty. First 2 rooms weren’t clean. Not adequately stock for towels, nor could we get more until day 2. Roach crawled across where I was making my coffee in the lobby. I have worked and regularly stay at HGI properties. I’m sure it’s staffing issue but clearly there is an overall cleanliness issue as well.

Good hotel with great staff

Check-in was smooth and hassle free. We left and went exploring and upon returning found an issue with one of our rooms - somehow the bathroom floor was flooded which leaked out into the room. Went down to the main desk to ask for help. Lamar (who checked us in) remembered me on sight and said he was aware of the situation with our room. He quickly got us switched over to a new room with no hassle. The hotel was quite full so I was surprised there was a room available - but he found out while we were away about the issue and held one for us. After this hiccup the rest of the trip was uneventful. We didn't spend much time at the hotel but found it to be what you'd expect from a Hilton Garden Inn - clean and comfortable. The location was nice - a brewery right next door and lots to do in the area. Overall we found the staff to be polite and friendly. We're grateful for Lamar's help and quick action, the trip definitely would have been soured without that. Give that man a raise for excellent customer service.

We were in town for a funeral (3 days) and had 6 rooms booked. Group was mostly 70 years of age and up. We congregated in the lobby for hours at a time. (We were not rowdy and stayed out of the way). The staff was very kind and accommodating. Audrey who ran the kitchen was especially helpful. Had a huge group for breakfast, us and some other family who stopped by, and I know it was difficult to deal with us and all her other customers but she did it like a pro with a smile the whole time. Food was good, beds comfortable and we felt very safe.

Also, Expedia stated check out was 12 pm but house keeping was trying to kick us out at 11:24. Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with Expedia. I would not stayhere again.

The property isnt bad. The room we had needed some work. Example: there was a hole in the bathroom door. Also some of the paint was piling in the bathroom, and spots on the carpet in the room. Staff wise, they could use more to clean. I was going to pay extra to get into the room early, but was told they really didn't have to many people to clean the rooms up. My stay qas different from when i went last summer.

Fool me once

I made the reservation w/ my credit card. We brought our pet, so I was walking the dog and my husband went in to let the people at the desk know that we had arrived. The first thing Malcolm did was ask my husband for his identification. Bad idea. This irritated my husband because after he pulled it out, Malcolm said oh no, your wife made the reservation, so she has to come inside and show her id. And it went downhill from there. The best part of the trip was Audrey in the breakfast area, she was amazing, friendly, and one day she was the greeter, and the cook. Food was awesome and Audrey could not have done more for us. She deserves a GOLD Star !!! Both elevator floors were in very bad shape and cruddy dirty. When I walked into the room I opened the room to the bathroom and there were no towels. There were no bags at the Dog station outside which was fine for me, I always have mine on hand but that may have explained why the dog area was littered with poop. Pitiful. I liked the soap and gel dispensers in the shower, they were great. Sad that you got rid of a lot of niceties. No longer had plastic bag in closet that you used to have for laundry. Trash can was very very tiny and divided in 1/2 for recycle. You could not fit 6 cans in the entire basket. Hilton takes on new meaning now for me. I guess when you add \"Garden Inn\" it means \"Hilton-not-so-much\"

My stay was good. I did have a problem. My granddaughter had gone into ICU in Jacksonville, Florida. I was booked April 22, through the 26. On April 23rd I asked for special circumstances to checked out on the 25th and not be charged for staying until the 26th. Hotels.com the Hilton Garden Inn. I tried to contact via phone and email the director of Sales, Vicki Figg. She never responded to me. I probably will not stay there again.

Terrible, Disappointing Stay! Room Never Cleaned!

We were told our room would be serviced every other day. My husband checked on Friday morning and was told that our room would not be serviced because we had a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door at 8 am. As he told them, room 414 DOES NOT HAVE A “DO NOT DISTURB” sign. They RUDELY refused to correct the error. I called to politely ask them to resolve the issue but was told to email the director of sales if we wanted to complain.

Later, I went to the desk and told Jan that we did not have such a sign. A very polite gentleman behind the desk said this should not have happened and that our room would be serviced by the end of the day. Neither desk clerk said a word so he must be a very senior person, perhaps a regional manager. Unfortunately, we did not get his name.

That night, April 25, we arrived to find dirty towels, an unmade bed, and overflowing trash cans. Towels were delivered on Saturday morning but the housekeeper said we were not down for service.

As if that wasn't bad enough, our sink had no plug which we reported every day. And we had to run the shower for up to 10 minutes to get hot water.

We have stayed in this hotel 13 times. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Melva, Kiara, the wonderful lady who makes breakfast, and the evening desk clerks are delightful.

Our stay was average, We rented a suite with separate bedroom, & the living room area was weird, huge room with no furniture except for a small pullout couch small TV & small chair with ottoman in the corner of the room, very strange set-up. Was not able to check in at 3 as promised. Did not receive digital key until 6 hours later. Checkin clerk was rude. Reserved a room with two queen beds, received a room with two full beds, clerk claimed that it was a mistake on the website and they could not fix it and would do nothing about it. Woke up in the morning to a roach in the floor. Bathroom ventilation did not work leaving a layer of steam on everything in there. Sink was clogged so that tons of someone else's debris came out of the pipes when I turned on the water. The most I was offered as compensation was movement to another identical room where hopefully the bathroom would work. Next day, new room, sink works. Toilet overflows. Call down to front desk for help. Am informed that no one can do anything, but I can come get a plunger they have on hand. Had to clean up the mess myself. Toilet clogged two more times after that. The hotel was under renovation, so I did not expect a great experience. And mostly the hotel was good except for 2 things . A strong sewer smell in the bathrooms and towels that were not clean. I did go get Lysol spray from the front desk and after several minutes of spraying the odor was bearable. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel seemed generally clean. Hopefully after the renovation is finished, the hotel will be up to par with other Hilton properties. Hilton hotels are usually great places to stay.
