We liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay. The only minor issue we had is the noise from the parking and early morning work from the staff. So if you are staying towards room 438, please expect it.

Other than this, the hotel is outside Assisi, which is great.

Can do with better lighting.

Hotel needs some TLC. Everywhere was very dark. They still use the fluorescent type of lightbulbs instead of led. Room had a small window and lights were very dark. Corridor was dark too so had difficulty getting key into lock. Swimming pool was nice and warm but changing rooms had no lights at all. There was a little bit coming through a gap above the door. You need to bring your own towel or hire one from the spa one floor down. (€5) also you have to wear a swimming cap and bath slippers. We saw some others using shower caps which were provided in our room. Slippers too were provided in our room. Our safe did not work. They did try to open it but it was still closed when we left 3 days later. Restaurant needs to be booked and isn’t open until 19:30. The food was very good. They did not have any fruit juice. We asked but waiter said they didn’t do juice. Just wine, water coke and Fanta. Yet for breakfast they did provide juice. So they did have juice. Restaurant acoustics are bad. It gets very noisy. There is a free shuttle bus to Assisi city wall 4 times a day. And a bus stops outside the hotel roughly every 40min taking you to the centre of Assisi. The hotel sells tickets. (€1:30 per journey)

We were warmly welcomed on check in and, at every step of the way, we were made to feel special! The bar tender, Shawn, made some delicious cocktails. The Giotto restaurant on site serves excellent food and has a very good selection of wines. We used the very well appointed spa for added luxury! The room had a large balcony with an amazing view of the Umbrian landscape, and, at night, the Basilica was lit up like a beacon. The only downside was the air conditioning in the rooms is not allowed be turned on until June- but, keeping the doors open at night cooled the room down and was very comfortable. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Indoor pool on a property this beautiful is a shame as who wants to be inside when the sun is shining?

Great hotel at the gates of Assisi with easy parking (beware of tight parking spots, rent a Fiat!) Beautiful terrace on top floor for sunset watching. Assisi 10 min bus ride away, bus leaves from right outside the hotel every 40nin. Loved it!

A beautiful facility, with friendly staff. A bit outside Assisi, in a beautiful wooded area. I walked or took the bus to get into the city proper. Lavish breakfast included with the room. Beautiful indoor heated pool. Highly recommended!

Good Hotel.

Hotel was ok. I did not expect much as I realize it not a modern city. The hotel room was small and bathroom was very dark and moldy. There is no glass partition or shower curtain instead they used the tiled wall which blocks the light out of the shower. There is no window in bathroom and lighting is dim and the decorator chose dark blue tiles for the bathroom. Poor choice.On the other hand they have on site parking and the breakfast is fantastic. There is alot of variety and the breakfast room is very spacious with multiple coffee machines that make Espresso, American Coffee, tea etc.

Very nice hotel but our room had a strong musty smell. Enjoyed being able to park our car easily right at the hotel and then walking to downtown Assisi (Or they had a shuttle available). We had dinner at the hotel and we opted for the buffet which was very good.

I dont know how this can be close to a 4 star hotel. Lousy customer service/relations as well as this property is run down. A piece of heavy door molding came off the wall and hit my young daughter in the foot and scared us all. We called the lobby, someone came up and looked at us like we did something intentional. We were no where near it, other pieces had been screwed in, so apparently this has happened before! If my daughter was a few inches closer, she would have been seriously injured. The did not apologize or even assist us putting in to an unprepared room. Of course we checked, and it also had loose molding, we put a chair up against it to help prevent that one from falling on us. To top it all off, we were chased out of the pool because we did not have swimming caps on. THERE WAS NO SIGNAGE INDICATED THIS WAS REQUIRED! We were in the process of leaving anyway because others were going in the pool without showering and there were actual used band aids floating in the water. How disgusting. This pool area too out is dated/decrepit and it has no shallow part where kids can stand on the bottom. Noisy Small room..

A great hotel for visiting Assisi...

Grand Hotel Assisi is a wonderfully located hotel for exploring the city itself and the surrounding hilltop settlements. Large airy rooms complemented by modern bathrooms ensure a comfortable stay. Breakfasts are good, and we love the covered car park which feels more secure than others. Also the free shuttle service and frequent buses are so convenient. A great choice!

Very nice location on a hill. Be sure to book a room with a view! You definitely need a car here. To be honest I was only there for sleeping and breakfast and was out and about all day until late. Nice bathroom, great air con, good breakfast, comfy beds and very quiet.

Nice hotel in a beautiful part of country. It's a bit of a walk into town but that's ok as it's for a holiday.

The things that could be improved are the WiFi (which is very slow) and the breakfast which felt a bit neglected. Be aware that the rooms don't have kettles or irons, as in most of Italy.

Conveniently placed hotel for Assisi`````````

We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to Assisi and particularly because the hotel offered a shuttle bus service into the town. This we found extremely useful. In general we found the hotel good with ample garage parking and our de luxe room was very comfortable and spacious with a balcony overlooking the valley.

The one thing which we would mention is that the hotel has apparently recently changed its name. However , we had not been informed and because of this spent considerable time locating it. For anyone who still has mention of this hotel under the name of the Roseo hotel Assisi , it is now known as the Grand Hotel Dei Congressi, Assisi.

Italy Trip to Assisi

We stayed with a group so we were limited on other options. The staff was very friendly and the complementary transportation came in handy. While breakfast was included we got there as they were wrapping up so the service was a little slow and the food was not hot and slim pickens. If we came back the only reason why we would not stay there would be to get the real feel of Assisi by staying in town. But don't let that stop you because as I said they will happily shuttle you in and out of town. definitely recommend.

The hotel was OK, but there are better choices if you are staying in Assisi. Although it was clean and room were comfortable, it seemed that we were staying at a Holiday Inn or Courtyard Marriott in America. Also to deodorize the rooms and general areas with this terrible aromatic odorizer which gave my wife a headache.

As for location, although in Assisi, this hotel is not in the main area of town in \"old\" Assisi, it is a bout a 5-10 min taxi ride, which is not far but it feels far since you are away from the heart and charm of Assisi.

The hotel should have been very good but was let down by several poor staff and one major incident.
On our last night the hotel hosted a Belly dancing evening which resulted in the worst music ever being blasted throughout the hotel until at least 1am.
Despite protests from several guests nothing was done to curtail the problem.
There were to be two more nights.

Room was dirty, there is little to no staff actually helping the guests. When we arrived nobody helped with the bags, at the bar the server was snacking instead of working and the breakfast was terrible. Overall horrible experience and wouldn’t recommend.
Also we had problems with the air conditioning and with electricity.

Tutto molto bene e tranquillo. Siamo stati indirizzati a questo hotel all'ultimo minuto perché la \"Terrazza del Subasio\", al momento del check in, ci ha detto che la camera non era più disponibile. Un'esperienza terribile, risolta dall' ottimo operatore del call center di Expedia che, in un'ora, ci ha trovato questa sistemazione. Comodissimo, a pochi minuti da Assisi, con una piscina interna coperta molto buona. Buona colazione, non eccezionale, letti comodi e Stanza molto ampia.

Es un muy lindo hotel, las habitaciones necesitan ya remodelación. Su ubicación es buena por la cercanía a Asís, pero en las noches cuando existen eventos religiosos, los taxis especulan en su servicio. El desayuno bastante completo y las áreas verdes de la terraza del hotel te invitan a relajarse.
