Da Angelo is set in the beautiful countryside, within walking distance to historic Assisi. With a sparkling pool that overlooks the valley below, and full of birdsong and dotted with olive trees and rosemary bushes, it was so charming! The room smelled strongly of air freshener when we entered but it was spotlessly clean and we simply opened the patio doors and windows (with screens) and it was fine. Free buffet style breakfast had variety and was nice and fresh. We also purchased dinner and portions were so generous, we were stuffed. Friendly and helpful staff as well. I also appreciated the early check in. All in all, a great spot to relax, especially before walking all through the hills of Assisi!

What a delightful place! The scenery sitting in the outdoor dining area was just stunning! We loved looking out over the Italian countryside. The ravioli dish my husband had was just amazing. All of the amenities were what we had hoped. We could take the bus for sightseeing from the top of the driveway.

An excellent value family owned and run hotel and restaurant which I thoroughly recommend for families with young children and couples of all ages. Views across Umbria are stunning both day and night and Assisi is only 1 mile walk up the road or Eur10 taxi ride. Excellent restaurant much favoured by local Italians...be warned the pizzas are only at dinner not lunchtime but the menu is extensive and very good value and prepared/cooked to order. Better food quality than other restaurants and hotels in Assisi in the same trip

This was my third stay at this hotel over the past ten years. It has the feeling of a mountain Lodge. Beautiful clean pool, Clean rooms , and a careing family staff available 24 seven !
The restaurant has great food prepared to order, very moderately priced.
The location is convenient to the ancient walled city, and within walking distance, or there is a mini bus stop in front of the hotels entrance.

Comfortable spot, need to drive to sites
We liked having a family room with a double and two \"real\" twin beds rather than cots or folding sofas. Everyone slept well. The front desk was generous in helping with maps of Assisi. Much of Assisi is difficult with a car so we drove to one of the big lots in town from the hotel and walked the beautiful streets of Assisi. Hotel furnishings were very basic, Ikea-like, but comfortable. Lovely views from its huge restaurant. Nice family spot.

Wrong address on website!!!
First of all -- when you use the coordinates listed on Hotels.com -- don't bother -- they don't work. Second of all -- when we tried entering the address on Via San Rufino -- it took us to the historic section of town that took us through the ZTL area of town (Zona Traffico Limitado) -- which means that we may be receiving some HEFTY tickets in the mail at some point). The only vehicles allowed in it are allowed to go to the various hotels there -- needless to say, Da Angelo was not within the old city walls. Once we finally found the hotel -- after calling a family member to look up the address for us -- it was fine for us. We have two little kids, so we were in a separate room from them. The bathrooms were small, but clean. The family that runs it was extremely nice and apologetic about our \"adventure\" to get to them. They assured us they would contact Hotels.com in order to get the proper information to them. Other than that, we would stay there again. They have a pool open in the summer. The attached restaurant had a nice view. We only ordered a pizza from them since we were too exhausted after visiting the town.

J’ai bien aimé l’endroit . La chambre était propre et style italienne . J’ai bien apprécié la présence de Margueritta qui parle Français elle est très serviable.
Pour aller à la gare et revenir il y a un arrêt de bus à 20mn à pied . Je n’ai eu aucune difficulté pour y accéder. Juste à côté de l’arrêt du bus on peut accéder par la Porta Nuova pour visiter tous les endroits religieux commençant par BAsilique Sainte Claire et Santa Maria Maggiore où Saint Carlos Acutis se repose et en finissant à la Basilique Saint François d’Assise .
Au restaurant de l’hôtel les repas sont bien servis.

El hotel no queda dentro del casco, y los autobuses pasan de manera espaciada así que tienes que planificar muy bien los horarios o caminar. El lugar es sencillo, no hay agua o café en la habitación y el servicio del hotel del restaurante es solo con horarios, como en lugares pequeños en Europa

Fantastisk beliggenhed, skønne omgivelser, rigelig plads med fantastisk udsigt ved poolen, charmerende bygninger og meget imødekommende og smilende personale. Desværre også ualmindelig lydligt, så skramlen fra træstolene på stengulvet i restauranten var en øredøvende plage på værelset omkring måltiderne, så undgå for alt i verden et værelse under spiselokalet. Snorker naboen høres dette også tydeligt. Sengene er pænt hårde med metalfjedre, der spontant giver lyd fra sig og gør intet godt for nattesøvnen. Rengøring på værelset er nødtørftig og uden tydelig mønster (alle håndklæder fjernet en dag og kun et rent lagt trods vi var to på værelset, opfyldning af shampoo en dag men ikke den næste mm). Der er en livlig trafik af især knallerter til de unge på stedet og biler, som gasser op for at klare den stejle vej fra parkering nederst på området og op til hovedindgang/vejniveau. Endelig er hunde velkomne på hotellet og ikke mindst i restauranten under måltiderne, så der var stort set altid 1-2 hunde med til spisning. Ellers super lækker aftensmad med lokale retter, morgenbuffetten er primært hvidt brød og kage. Italienerne har generelt et lidt højt lydniveau, som kan have sin charme, når man vælger netop at tage på ferie i Italien, men her på stedet stod det høje lydniveau meget i kontrast til idyllen på stedet - og ikke på den gode måde.
