Great spot.

Perfectly situated for a mid holiday stop over. Reception were excellent no fuss getting checked in. Rooms adequate if not modernised but perfect for a family and all you need. Location is near a massive retail park 3 m

ins drive where you can get some food in the evening hours. Breakfast was also spot on. Recommend a stay if passing.

Great value for money so I didn’t have high expectations. Our room was a decent size family room on the second floor, nice and clean. I would say the only real problem was the pillows. They were very flat and lumpy. Obviously been through the wash 100 times. Also the shower head wouldn’t stay in place but it was nice and hot

Bargain option. You get what you pay for. The hotel offers very few facilities. No towels in bedrooms. No tea/coffee in room. No vending machines. Rooms are tired and unloved. Stains on carpets and walls throughout. Lots if noise from other guests through the night (stayed Saturday night).

But it is very cheap, in a pleasant town and in a convenient location for onward travel.

I was very impressed with the hotel. The name ‘comfort hotel’ is the perfect description. The receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful as my elderly and infirm parents required a room close to reception - not far to walk - so she changed the room for easier access.
We chose to have a snack/meal before bed and the receptionist assisted with this also. Sadly I think our meal was cooked using a microwave and were possibly cooked from frozen in packets as the meal was a disappointment. (Not the receptionist fault). Breakfast was great after a comfortable night.

Comfort Hotel, needs attention

Hotel in need of a makeover. Damp & bad smell in corridor to rooms on lower level . Mould on bathroom ceiling, room cold & damp. Bathroom surprisingly large , hot water & hair dryer a bonus.
Receptionist friendly but disappointing that she didn’t inform us that bar was closing although only customers in the bar . Breakfast ok but not worth price.

The property was convenient. But it was very noisy at night. Hammering and banging at 2 o’clock in the morning. We were cold in bed and found a spare duvet which we put on the bed but if did not make much difference. No phone or tea coffee making facilities. The room was clean but very shabby. We ate at the hotel and although the choice was limited the food was good. Reception staff whdd ed n we arrived were very friendly. Breakfast choice was not great very limited. No eggs. Just on red selection of cold meat and cheese. We thought for the price it should have been better.

We spent one night on return trip to Calais. Travelled as a couple with a child and small dog in a triple/family room.
Basic room, all ok, great breakfast included, allowed is to have the dog with us in the conservatory/dining area which meant we could eat as a family which was great.

Cheap for a reason!

Cheap hotel that looks ok in photos, but very disappointing in real life. Room was plain filty. Wee on toilet seat (despite having the clean seal), half used cigarette pack on top of cupboard, stained towels and black hand prints all over toilet door.
Didn't expect luxury at this price but I expect clean.
Also tax charge higher than stated on booking.
Won't stay again!

Very good service!

Service was fantastic. Staff was always available to help. Breakfast and meals were great with good selection and quality. However the bed is the room was not comfortable at all and the hotel is kind of noisy but that's probably because of the guests and not because of the staff. I will still recommend this hotel.

I stayed twice for a journey through France and back. I have dogs and was alone so didn't eat as didnt want to leave the dogs in the room alone. However the beds are excellent, comfortable and clean white linen. Shower is hot and a good size. Plenty of parking. Staff very friendly and helpful, i checked in without problems after 11pm as got stuck in traffic on the first stop over.
Flooring is laminate so it is clean and having the dogs beds and bowls on the floor didnt create any mess. Would certainly stay again. If travelling from the South of France follow signs for la madeline as you approach Evreux and the hotel is easy to find.

Renovation is a disappointment

The hotel has been taken over and recently renovated. We were disappointed with the quality of the renovation. The room seemed more cramped as they have removed the full bathroom and installed a cubicle with a walk in shower, basin and toilet. There is no fan in the shower room and they have used the original door which was old and chipped. The biggest problem with the shower room, is that the light switch for the shower room is located at the back of the room beside the toilet. You have to lean over the toilet to switch on the light which is hardly a safe place to have it. Also if you need to use the toilet during the night you need to switch on the bedroom light to be able to find the bathroom light which is not so good for your partner who may wish to remain asleep,. The shower flooring is of poor quality and becomes very slippery yet there is no hand grab rail. The bedhead is the original old one and was damaged at the bottom. In the room there are only 2 sockets which are taken up with the tv and the kettle. Most guests need to charge their phones/laptops in their room or. Having such a lack of sockets in this day and age is inadequate. The lighting in the room is poor. The toilet was unclean and there was lot of dust behind the entrance door plus a large squashed spider on the wall. On the plus side the beds are comfortable and the linen nice and clean, the staff are very pleasant and helpful, the parking is good and the area is safe.

Some welcome small touches.( Fluffy white towels, tissues, water, tea and coffee making facilities).All a pleasant surprise, especially after experiencing shabby,dirty, hotels whilst travelling through France recently.

Kyriad booking changed to Comfort Hotel .

I booked with Kyriad in Jan. as part of our annual pilgrimage to Spain.
Our sat-nav directed us to the correct postcode- but no Kyriad!
After touring the area both by car and on foot round an industrial estate with no one to ask as it was a Sunday we eventually went in to the only hotel in the vicinity. It was the Comfort Hotel and when asking where the the Kyriad was we were furious to be told “ this is it”. No Notification or signage to indicate.
I blame Expedia and Kyriad for that!
We were then told that the restaurant was closed on Sunday and it said so on their web site. Whose-Kyriad or Comfort. It involved getting into the car and driving to the centre. Usually the chain hotels have eating facilities near them!

Excellent value for money. Very comfortable. We stayed two nights on our way back to UK from western France and had a trip to Giverny(half an hour away) . Handy location although as the restaurant at the hotel isn't open at weekends we had to drive to Evreux to eat... quiet on the weekend but can recommend the London Pub ( usually we wouldn't but it was only place open on Sunday evening ) very good food and a vegetarian choice. Also a good Italian place. Evreux is a pretty place with a magnificent cathedral.

This was a one night stopover and was great. Easy to find and close to main route without being noisy. Ample free parking and a very safe feeling. Hotel was excellent value for money. It was attractive and the room was extremely spacious and with a huge comfortable bed and a bath as well as shower. Having tea/coffee making facilities was an excellent added bonus. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend it and will use it again..

Very good value for our overnight stay on route from the South of France on our way to the Eurotunnel back to England.

Oh Dear! Stayed in room 027. The hairdryer element lit up and started smoking, After having a shower a pool of water appeared in front of the toilet, so drains are broken under bathroom floor. Receptionist was advised of the problem, to which the reply was that nobody had complained about that room before.
We have stayed here in the past and it has been acceptable in other rooms, but this is the last time. The hotel is desperately in need of refurb. Mould on bathroom sealant. In grained stains in toilet.

A comfortable stay for a night or two, if you have a car.
Reception staff were lovely and the to om was comfortable enough. Bathroom could do with a revamp and there was some mould on the bathroom ceiling. Apart from this the room was clean. Bed was on the firm side and tended to tip if you sat on the end (bed legs not at corners)..this caught us out a few times. The tea / coffee facilities and complimentary bottle of water were a nice touch. Bfast was €9 each so went to Lidl instead (5 min drive up the road). We'd stay here again if we were passing through.

Stayed enroute to Spain convenient for motorways.Efficient reception staff,spoke excellent English and very welcoming.
Room clean ,good mattress, No AC may be an issue for some but window opened fully and our evening was cool end of July.
Food in restaurant good with equally good efficient service.Free wifi and parking made this a very good value for money hotel.Would definitely stay again for overnight stop

We found the hotel very easily. Parking was not secure but it was just outside our room. The person on the Desk when we arrived spoke excellent English & made us very welcome...she was also on the d esk the next day when we left. Would definitely use this hotel again & recommend to others. The Cathedral in Evreux is well worth visiting & Givernay is just 30 minutes away.

It would be helpful if when booking you were told that the hotel restaurant was not going to open. We stayed here in August and the restaurant was closed for staff holidays, and again on a Sunday in late December 2014 the restaurant was closed, as it was a holiday?! Not impressed!

Second time we have stopped here for an overnight stop before continuing on to SW France. Good overall for what we need, a good nights sleep and recuperation before another long drive, at reasonable cost. Comfy bed, tea coffee making facilities, check in and out quick and efficient. Comfortable stay and helpful staff

This was a good place for an overnight stop on our way home to the UK. The reception staff were extremely helpful, e.g. organising the delivery of pizzas for our teenagers as we hadn't had time to stop for an evening meal. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. The only fault in my room was that the shower head wouldn't stay in position, and needed to be held. Other than that, all was fine. Some of us had breakfast in the morning which they reported to be good.

Disappointing and in need of an update

The initial reception was very friendly and welcoming but the hotel is tired and dated.The bedroom was clean and has had new furniture .The bathroom was awful!Damp and black mould on the ceiling,toilet filthy and water stained,heater hanging off the wall,door mouldy and yellowed,bathroom itself was very old and dated!No lifts and restricted access through a small doorway...not good with cases and bags,plus we had golf clubs that was even more difficult.
