Firstly check in was fine and young lady on reception was very pleasant. That’s the good news. Room was very cold on arrival. Mattress had a ‘topper’ which was too small for the bed. Restaurant was fine, but again room was freezing so food was cold in minutes. But the real problem was not the hotel but the totally ignorant guests who repeatedly rang the night call bell 11+ times between 0040 and 0230, who slammed doors, who couldn’t be bothered to lower their voices and who it seems were in the room above mine. Room 01 is convenient but right next to the night door so if that’s where you’re out, you’re completely at the mercy of other people’s consideration or lack thereof. I eventually gave up on sleep and left at 0530.

This hotel is ideal for our stop-over on the way south. It is directly off the route we take using N154 and has an airy restaurant with terrace which serves a very pleasant menu and a buffet breakfast, so no need to get back in the car in search of food! It is also ideal for us as dog-owners as it has a wire fenced grassy area around the property, great for allowing the dog to have an off- lead run around. All other aspects perfectly adequate for a one night stop, including a clean, comfortable bed and sound proofed windows so the near y road is not an issue.

Not The Best Kyriad

The problem with Kyriad Hotels is that there is no consistent standard. This was one of the poorer ones. No air conditioning, no glasses in toilet, no tea/coffee making facility, insufficient towels. internally the hotel was dingy, in need of a good makeover. However all the staff were very pleasant and efficient and the breakfast was good value.

OK for one night.

Major WIFI problems

Their WIFI only stays connected for about a half hour and then automatically, quietly disconnects without telling the customer it has done so. The desk lady knew about it but couldn’t provide a credible explanation.

Also, in the washroom the soap dispenser on the wall was empty. Part of the caulking where the tub meets the wall was missing and there was no anti-slip mat in the tub.

I checked in at approximately 01:00. I called the number which was displayed at the locked entrance to the hotel. The person I spoke to could not speak English (bear this in mind if you’re checking in late as day-staff were fluent in English). Regardless, the staff member checked me in (needed a translator who was a family friend) otherwise I think I would have struggled to check in as quickly as I did.

Moving onto the room; the room was clean and tidy. All appliances were in working order. The mattress had a divot in the centre which made it uncomfortable. There was no fan or ac unit that I could see in the room (no iron either). Had trouble logging onto the WiFi and was afraid to call the number again due to language barrier and felt it would be a waste of time.

All in all, a decent hotel which needs some more investment in its services (new mattresses and fresh lick of paint would go a long way here).

This was the fourth Kyriad Hotel we stayed in during our 2 weeks touring around France. The room was clean and just about big enough to accommodate 2 suitcases. The bed was comfortable and enough towels were provided in the bathroom., which was clean and had a good hair dryer. The disappointment was the shower which was fixed up high so couldn't be detached or slid down the fixing if you didn't want to get your hair wet, and there was nowhere in the shower to put your toiletries other than on the floor. There is no lift, so getting to the first floor actually involves walking up 4 sets of stairs with landings in between. The lights did not come on automatically on the stairs or in the corridors, so after dark you are fumbling around looking for a switch. It is convenient that there is a restaurant in the hotel and our evening meal was quite good and reasonable. Breakfast was okay although not offering a particularly wide range of products.Hard working and pleasant staff and .the hotel was easy to locate.

Under ten minutes from Evreux and minutes off the N154 so good for an overnight stop. Receptionist was helpful with good enough english to sort out any queries we had - logging in to the wifi defeated both our brains (i.e. for two people !). The superior room with tea and coffee making facilities was in a newish block opposite the reception. The xtra large bed was welcome and comfortable and the air conditioning was very good and much needed for our stay in July. TV had only french staions but then this was France. Nice large shower room, but only three towels and one small shower vial provided. Breakfast was just about OK with nothing fresh apart from the croissants and perhaps the fruit cocktail.

Handily situated just off the Rouen to Dreux main road in Evreux . Good car park , pleasant staff , room clean and comfortable . Only thing that could be bettered was stronger lighting . Lots of lights but low powered . Would stay there again .Good value . Restaurant closed on Sunday .

Booking was not correct

I had requested that our two rooms to be adjoining and one to have accessible bathroom. We travelled with my 92 year old Mum who needs a wheelchair. Upon arrival we had two rooms on the first floor! There was no lift. What is the point of having messages when booking online through Expedia? Staff were good but Mum still had to tackle the stairs.

The room itself was ok, clean but basic. There was a kettle, sachets, hairdryer, good shower but the toilet didn't flush properly and the fittings were uninspiring. However, the room was quiet. The stair carpet up to the room was very badly stained and the breakfast was disappointing. There was only one croissant available, the rest ( not a huge number) were pain au chocolat and I don't eat chocolate, the hot drink machine was broken and the only person available was about 18 and tried her best but struggled to cope with this problem.

A disapointing start to the New year

On arrival we were offered a room on the first floor, the lighting on the stairs was very poor and when we got to the room (room 10) we discovered that the toilet wouldn't flush. On complaining to the staff we were instantly offered another room on the ground floor. We felt that as we are obviously an elderly couple it would have been sensible to have offered us the ground floor room initially. During the night someone attempted to enter our room obviously in error but it was disconcerting that they managed to open the door.
We found the staff very pleasant and helpful when asked but felt that the hotel was not up to the standard of previous Kyriad hotel we have stayed in.

1. every night we were locked out and had to go to the reception to release the lock
2.first might they forgot to clean the rooms
3.my room had a bad door lock and it was left open thru the day during my stay

The hotel room was excellent . Large,clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed.We had problems in finding it,as the hotel is located down an isolated cul de sac on an industrial estate. The restaurant was closed and there was nothing available nearby,although it does advertise the restaurant, so we were very disappointed. Situated in a good position to travel on the motorways

How can any self respecting hotel chain profess to have a restaurant and then close it every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening in summer when travellers have NO alternative facilities nearby?!!! Appalling customer service. Rooms very basic... corridors poorly lit... location poor. This is definitely one to avoid.

Perfect stopover location

Good hotel, and the restaurant allowed us to stay on site rather than to go and look for somewhere to eat. The food was good enough, not high class. Very nice breakfast, with hot dishes, unusually for France. There was the usual coffee making facility in the room, but only two tiny milks. When we asked for more, the receptionist was completely horrible, telling us we could only have two, no more. Very poor in that respect, but otherwise a good stay, and we'd use Kyriad again.

Well located hotel for the traveller going from/to UK and southern France. Nice clean room of a decent size. For us, let down by morose staff who we found to be less than helpful. Also, on return from dinner in the town, the bar was shut although it was just after 10.30pm.

On arrival at 5.30pm I was told there was no food available at all that evening or over the weekend and that breakfast was not going to start until 8am the next morning. Therefore having driven for 8 hours I was unable to have any supper and as I had to be on the road by 7.30am the following morning, I was unable to have any breakfast. Both meals consisted of a cup of tea and a biscuit that was provided in the room. This despite your advert saying there was 24 hour service, Not good.

We have stayed at this hotel many times before it was taken over and became the Kyriad and we have stayed several times since.

The refurbishment was very pleasing. We were particularly impressed with the standard of fittings in the bathroom - much improved. The kettle and coffee/tea arrangements were much appreciated - -not always found in other hotels of similar price. Everything was very new and clean. I wish that the pillows were bigger and softer for comfort and that when two people are sharing a room,
more than one set of towels are provided. It gets annoying to have to ask the receptionist everytime for another set of towels.
Otherwise it was great we will be re-booking soon for our next trip.

This is a clean, fairly modern, basic room. The room is quite small (apparently typical for this price range). My only complaint is the beds are too hard - someone apparently, incorrectly, believes that firmer is better for your back.

Location and neighborhood is good, I would stay there again.

Bonjour, la salle de bain de la chambre qui m'a été attribuée était très salle: chasse wc sale, la chasse d'eau n'a pas été tirée, la douche sale, les serviettes mal pliées: le cauchemar. On m'a changé de chambre, relativement propre, lit inconfortable.
Le rapport qualité-prix à revoir.
dommage, je n'ai pas pensé prendre des photos mais la personne à l'accueil en a été témoin.
