Satisfied but not raving.

Staff as helpful as language barrier allowed. Maid service was optional but they did clear the bins and changed the towels once during our stay. No complaints there. Only problem was they ignored our request at booking, for a no step room, and although we did get one after we pointed out my husband cannot do stairs but the only one remaining had no working shutter so we had no access to daylight for the whole time we were there.

It was OK for a quick stay on route to other destinations if you are driving and need parking. The town was close enough by car but most restaurants were closed on Sunday so it was a challenge to find a place to eat.

Wish I could give a better review.

Looked freshly painted walls. Floor not nice, needed replacing, badly cracked sink, chipped bath, curtain needed extra hanging clips, rock hard bed and 2 tiny uncomfortable pillows. Glad to restart our journey. Wouldn,t book again or recommend.

Good for the Money

This is a pretty basic hotel - but then it's advertised as that, so you can't really complain. The rooms are in a separate block from reception, accessed via exteral walkways for the upper floors, so each room opens to the outside. It was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the EV chargers worked without a problem. The windows don't have curtains, there's a wind-down shutter on the outside. This was broken on the first room we were offered, but we were quickly moved to another room. It was a bit noisy in the early hours of the morning with vans coming to pick up migrant workers who were staying there, but overall, it's a good, cheap place for an overnight stop when you're travelling.

Beds are hard. You can hear the road noise all night. Person above me was having sex at 3am which is not a problem but I could hear the bed squeaking. Do not stay. Spend the extra money on a better hotel.

Convenient for an overnight stay and made to feel welcome.
The room wasn't that well maintained and the floor was dirty although the rest of the room was clean. Only one towel was provided per person and the breakfast was just continental style. The water to make tea was far from boiling - just warm really.
However, I would consider using it again.

THIS HOTEL IS NOT LOCATED AT 70 Winston Churchill!!! Just an FYI if you look for 70 WC road there is no such place! It is located about 800 feet further up Winston Churchill road on the opposite side of the street from where you \"thought\" you would find 70 Winston Churchill. Its down an access road and there is a sign for it. The sign reads\"Campanile\". There is also another hotel next to it which you will see first as you go down this road, for this one(Campanile) you must turn left at the end of the road to see it

Four stars!!!! I'm not sure who gave it four stars unless it was someone with really low expectations or has not traveled much. I would go two stars! The hotel room I stayed in was in desperate need of upgrading. But for the price it was what I would expected. Other than having a hard time finding it, it was on par with an older Motel 6. If you are walking its about a 20 to 30 minute walk to the train station up hill there and of course downhill to train station.

Good and Bad!

Looking a little worn on the outside but the room and public areas were good. Very, very disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on Saturday evening and I would not have booked had I known this. However, there are places available locally but I had had an arduous journey and didn’t want to get back into the car. My room was fine except that I have requested a ground floor room and was given one on the first floor only accessible by stairs and mine was at the furthest point at one end of the balcony. I am not registered disabled. I went in for the breakfast buffet at about 09:00 (finishes at 10:00 and many people followed me). One man was looking after breakfast and people checking out etc. Almost all the food on offer was almost down to the last or empty. There was a tiny piece of bread to cut with a knife that was so blunt ... Having eaten, I wanted a cup of coffee but there were no cups! Yes, I could have asked the guy but then he was not to be seen and others were waiting for him too. Not very happy with this stay. I had driven from Calais and this made an easy to find mid point for my onward journey and is a shame that it was not a more satisfactory visit.

Based on the cost, the room was acceptable. However, the main reason we booked the room was due to the fact that the hotel had a restaurant, only to find it was not open. Further, when we went down to breakfast, the selection was greatly depleted. For instance we had to wait 15 minutes for croissants.

Medicore stop off.

We booked this hotel for a mid way stop coming back from Le Mans, we had stayed here a couple of years ago.

The rooms themselves are dated but serviceable, our main reason for staying here was the fact it had a restaurant that was open on Sundays, we were some disappointed that on check in we were told the restaurant was closed that day.

Nice staff

We arrived from Calais on a wet dreary evening in early May.
The reception staff were excellent, even finding me the tv channel for the Roma v Liverpool game that evening.
The food for both evening and breakfast was very good.
The problem really lies in its location. It is a long way from any kind of culture . It is however fairly close to a Hypermarket.

Room had many in-built amenities that are not functioning and hence, many replacement a sets of amenities. Room cleanliness can be improved as there are stains and insects in the room. Room had only 1 power socket for charging of electronic devices. Service was bad as the room was made-up when the \"Do Not Disturb\" sign was clearly hanged on the door, and only the bed was made-up. No explanation of facilities (breakfast, dining options, parking) was done during check-in until asked. Overall, not recommended for more than 1 night stay.

OK hotel to break a journey

No-one on reception, the waitress started to deal with us but had to serve food. Once receptionist came, the key was ready. We found the outside spiral stairs to the first floor rather difficult, especially coming down. There was a restaurant, but didn't have eggs for omelettes nor ice cream for dessert. The food went cold quickly and one steak was not cooked as requested. The pression was good but the house red was disappointing. the restaurant was cold.

The room was large and clean. The bed was large and comfortable but the pillows were not suitable for the bed.

Possibly one of the older Campaniles, this is nevertheless a satisfactory stop-over point, about three minutes from the main road from Rouen to Chartres. For a cheaper evening meal option, there is a Flunch cafeteria about 500 metres from the hotel.

Sleeping area was refurbished with new comfortable beds. Bathroom smelled moldy. A small \"sabot\" bathtub makes bathing impossible and showering difficult. Good food at the restaurant. Convenient location off the expressway. Good for a one-night stay on the way to somewhere else.

Our stay at Campnile, Evreux

We arrived after a long journey from Etaules in the Charante. The lady at Reception was warm and welcoming. She spoke English and was extremely helpful explaining about mealtime and giving us directions to a nearby supermarket. The room and facilities were adequate for our stay and very clean. The free WIFI was a bonus because we had poor reception at the gite. The evening meal was good but the only downside was no main meal choice. We will recommend this hotel to our friends

Clean hotel with friendly staff.

This was the fourth Campanile hotel we stayed in during our 9 day tour of France. Just like the others it was clean and tidy with tea and coffee facilities in the room with options of having a bath or shower.
Budget hotel ideal for overnight stay. Only disappointment in this hotel was the Internet was very slow or non existent which was unlike the others we had stayed in.
Did not eat in the restaurant on the evening but breakfast was more than adequate.

This has been written many times but here I go again. Sadly one (overworked) person doing everything and not with a good heart and in a way you can't blame her. The restaurant used to give you the option of having a \"buffet\" as a main meal. They still do in theory, but on a starter plate and at main course price! I didn't fancy the porc (dish of the day) so went with the buffet. Bit expensive for a small plate of salad. They say food is sourced locally but was awoken at 6.00am by a \"Brakes\" delivery. Maybe they have a local depot! I stay because Campanile are always just off motorways and have parking. But I am loosing faith. Bedrooms refurbed but bathrooms certainly haven't and need it.

We stayed here on our journey back to Spain. We had stayed at the Rouen Campanile a month earlier on our way to the UK, and had been impressed with the stay, and therefore booked at Evreaux and Hendaye for our return journey, rather than choosing another chain. The room was fine, clean and warm (which was important as the weather was dire!) However, we felt let down by the restaurant experience. We had enjoyed the meal at Rouen very much, but Evreaux did not match it. The service was very off hand. We were the only people in the restaurant and we had the distinct impression we were disturbing the two staff members by wanting to eat. We ordered the \"plat du jour\" and received the meal with just a few lukewarm potatoes on the side. Previously (and since) we had fresh greens also served with the meal. Finding a member of staff to complain to was more effort than it was worth, and as we were tired we ate our meal and left. Luckily the Campanile buffet desserts made up for any lack in the main course and we took full advantage. The chocolate mousse is fab!

A comfortable and friendly hotel

For the money, this is a very nice hotel. We booked it to be near the Monet museum (18 miles is not too close, but it was the closest hotel we could find that was open). The proprietor was gracious and welcoming, and his (American) Enlish impeccable. The room was basic but clean and very comfortable. The staff I met were friendly. The free breakfast was outstanding. I would definitely return.

Very old Hotel, small room with a large bathroom containing a deep bath. It would be very difficult for an older person to get into and out of the bath/shower. Access to the first floor rooms is via a spiral type concrete staircase - very difficult to get suitcases up. There was no provision for the suitcases once in the room. The restaurant had been updated and was very modern - we had a very nice dinner at a reasonable price.

Overall the hotel was fine and the restaurant lived up to expectations. The main problem was in finding the hotel. We had a lot of difficulty as the directions to the hotel did not include the general area (Madeleine) and it took us an hour and a quarter to find the hotel from the centre of Evreux after enlisting the aid of a local lady (who spoke English) and a taxi driver. Clear and concise directions would be a godsend. It is fortunate we arrived in daylight as teh hotel is set back off the main road and is not immediately obvious.

Capanile Evreux- Hard to find.

Arrived in Evreux at 5:30pm. Traffic bad and no signing so passed it a few times. Need Sat Nav to get you there.

Road noise disturbed especially early morning, and other guests leaving early.

Let down by terrible service in the restaurant

OK, so you don't tend to stay at Campanile motels for the cuisine, but we were tired and just wanted something quick and tasty. Bizarrely the menu we were given was in multiple languages, including English, but the waitress didn't understand what we were asking for until we asked in French. The food was unexciting, though edible, but the service was diabolical. The waitress didn't seem to want to serve us at all - difficult to get more drinks, took forever to get any food. And it was very expensive, considering the average quality and small quantity of food. We have had some good meals at Campaniles in the past (Dijon last year was particularly good), so this was a disappointment.

The motel itself was clean and dependable and the other staff friendly.

Ça a été difficile d'entrer : le parking était fermé par un portail dont je n'avais pas le code : il a fallu que je téléphone pour l'avoir. Pourquoi ne pas le transmettre avec le message de réservation ?
Personnel du soir très aimable. Malheureusement elle ne m'a pas demandé si je désirais un petit-déjeuner. Le lendemain la réceptionniste m'a bienfait comprendre que je n'étais pas prévue au programme du petit-déjeuner !

Firstly the pillow was not confortable at all it felt like i slept on a bed without a pillow. Secondly it's was a disater for the bathrom. There were fecal remains in the toilet as if the brush had not been used and that's because there was no brush provided.
I know it's low cost hotel but the minimum needs to be done.

Nous avons réserver un séjour de 2 nuitées dans cet établissement , nous devions avoir une chambre lit double avec vue partielle sur le lac mais quand nous sommes arrivés notre clef était posé sur la table et avons eu la mauvaise surprise d’avoir une chambre vu parking avec 2 lits simple . Le problème a été réglé le lendemain avec le responsable en ayant une chambre beaucoup plus spacieuse vu complète sur le lac et un lit double … Concernant le petit déjeuner , une remarque que nous avions déjà évoqué lors de notre dernier séjour , AMÉLIOREZ VOTRE SERVICE … quel intérêt d’avoir une personne qui dit à peine bonjour dans la salle du petit déjeuner , qui a dû oublier ce que c’était un sourire , un assortiment limiter sans grand intérêt … jus de fruit bas de gamme avec des glaçons , confiture en barquette (beurk) .Ceci est bien dommage, avec une belle cuisine à l’arrière, des crêpes , gâteaux fait maison , gaufres , confitures maison serait facile, rapide et parfaite pour un compléter un bon petit déjeuner.

Pour commencer déjà le problème de la carte magnétique ne fonctionne pas le personnel à essayer de résoudre le problème na pas réussi en plus m e matelas reste à désirer comme si on a dormi sur des ressorts les dos complètement défoncés et en dernier l'eau chaude pas assez chaude en plein mois février.

Chambre un peu juste quand le petit lit est déployer.
La route très proche est bruyante.
Entre voisins on entend tous c'est bien dommage.

Séjour sympa, accueil agréable. Il faut connaître pour le parking sinon, on tourne en rond! Il faut prendre le parking de la ville avec un tarif pour la nuit vraiment pas excessif.
Pas de salade de fruits pour le petit dej sinon c'est top.
Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Des traces dans la cuvette, des poils dans la baignoire. La réceptionniste du matin se coupe les ongles alors que vous prenez votre petit-déjeuner… qui fait ça ?

Sur Booking j’ai réservée 2 chambres une en couple avec 1 enfant + 1 chambre avec lit séparés. Nous nous sommes retrouvés avec 2 chambres et 2 lits séparés … une fois nos affaires mise on nous a proposé de changer de chambre.

Ensuite, propreté à revoir : un jour de 1cm en dessous la porte d’entrée, cloporte dans la salle de bain, draps craqués, cheveux dans la baignoire poils sur la cuvette des toilettes.

un hôtel en progrès....

Ancien hôtel \"Campanile\" (un peu vieilli)
devenu \"Kyriad Direct\" avec des
améliorations de la qualité. Mais
le prix paraît un peu élevé comparativement
aux établissements voisins équivalents.
Accueil à améliorer : Le réceptionniste manque
d' efficacité et l'attente est longue ....

Logement propre mais pour 3 personnes limites le 3 eme lit et a mm le sol pas top pour un enfant il sent le froid pas d oreiller pour ce couchage.de plus volet casser donc impossible d ouvrir ou fermer donc reveiller avec le jour en rentrant tard d un mariage reveiller tot des choses sont a revoir
